I’ve been seeing David for approx 9 months or so after my wife recommended him. He’s a master technician of his craft and a damn nice guy to boot. You come to Capelli’s for an experience. The staff are all consummate professionals, very polite, friendly, and attentive. David trains an oversees the development of several of his staff too. Think of this place where qualified stylists also take on apprenticeship roles to develop themselves into seasoned pros under guidance of the best. I can’t recommend Capelli’s highly enough.

I am very picky about getting my hair done. I have only ever liked one stylist before meeting David. This salon is very close to home so I tried it out just for the sake of convenience. David is AMAZING! He is a hair genius! This is the most satisfied I have been from a cut ever! I will go back for sure. Give yourself some time for the appointment he takes his time to ensure that everything is perfect. Literally he will give you a perfect cut. I have long thick wavy hair. He taught me where to part my hair and found the ideal length for me to keep my hair. Very satisfied.

Capelli salon has the greatest staff. I have been a hair model with Stevi twice now. She has been one of the instructors for the highlights & toning class. I have long thick blonde hair and don’t get highlights often, so she knows how to do it in a way that looks awesome as it grows out. In terms of being her client, she listens to what you want and I felt 100% confident in her. Not only that, but she seems like such an awesome teacher! She’s committed to teaching other hairstylists how to colour hair and has a natural leadership style. She loves her job and it shows. Consider yourself lucky if you get to be one of her clients!

I have been going to Capelli Salon for nearly a year now since my stylist, Hieu Tran moved there and I just love it! I have visited many salons over the decades and Capelli might be my favourite so far! When you walk in, you are warmly greeted by the staff, taken to your chair and given a warm hand towel, small cup of herbal tea, hand lotion and a chocolate all served on a tray and then offered a coffee of your choice as you get your service done. The salon is beautiful and inviting, modern and with huge windows, it is light and bright. While I go there to see Hieu (whom I love as a stylist btw), all the staff there are so nice and friendly making you feel welcomed. They offer a huge variety of services and I usually get the 'energy shot' which helps the healthy of my hair. Few other things to to note: the free underground parking is a huge bonus and the washing stations for your hair are the most comfortable I've ever used as they adjust to your neck so it's not craning. They have a great variety of good quality products for purchase as well Biosthetique makeup if interested. And, while I only see Hieu as he's been my stylist for years, I have seen the work of the other stylists there and they are all fantastic and I've been very impressed. If you are looking for a new salon, I would highly recommend Capelli as a salon without hesitation. I love my visits there and really look forward to them.

I have visited salons around the world - in at least 40 different countries. I have never had a salon experience like the one I had here today! My stylist, David, and every person who I dealt with from reception to the scalp consultation, were phenomenal. I have MS and thyroid disease, which has both made it harder for me to care for my hair physically (like motor control) and also affected the ability for my hair to grow healthy and strong. I have been looking for a place that would take an integrative approach to my hair and scalp - striking a balance between health and style - and I’m so happy to have finally found the place! Especially given my health concerns, I’ve also been weary to return to a salon since the pandemic, but felt completely safe with more than adequate COVID protocols in place. My hair feels amazing with the products that were carefully chosen according to tests they performed on my scalp and hair type, I’m so happy with the cut and styling advice David provided, and I feel like we’re all on the same page about what my long-term hair goals are, in a holistic kind of way. I couldn’t walk out without booking another appointment next month, because I can’t wait to come back! Until then, thank you so much to David and the rest of the Capelli team!

I had recently posted a review after an incident where my appointment was cancelled day-of on the basis of a prescreening questionnaire and my exposure risk as a health professional. Soon after I left the salon the owner, Tania, called me to apologize for the misunderstanding. She was very sincere and felt truly upset about what had happened. She was, as we all are, trying to look out for the health and safety of her staff and customers. She had agreed to change the questionnaire to prevent this type of incident from occurring in the future. She also delivered free bottles of La Biosthetique shampoo and conditioner right to my doorstep. All this to say that I retract my previous comments about this salon. Tania and David are obviously very compassionate and thoughtful people and very respectable business owners. I highly recommend this salon.

Andrea!!! Let me just say I have never had my hair cut as meticulously as Andrea cut my hair! It was my first time at this salon and I highly recommend him. *I was going to a very expensive salon DT that wouldn't even trim the damage off my layers instead the hairstylist thought it would be more appropriate to chop off my hair straight across even though the damage was on the top layers... Twice she did this, I went in for a 3rd time and she again wanted to chop another 3 inches off and I finally got fed up and asked her why it was so hard to section off my hair and trim the layers like I wanted....She huffed and went on a rant that SHE wanted my hair cut like this so I left and told her she can chop off her own hair if thats what she's into. This salon is a life savour, Andrea skimmed my ends and went through the layers and now my hair is back to it's shinny bouncy self, thank you!!!

Had a color correction session with one of the accomplished hairstylists. She was a nice and polite lady. However she was not too experienced with my type of hair. Wasn’t satisfied with the final results. Took her 4 hours just to bleach out my entire neck-length hair. Finally, colors did not get blended to each other properly. I was able to see a clear boundary between the bleached-and-dyed hair and dyed roots. Got charged 600$ for that mess. Although the session took 7 hours, the lady was nice enough to charge me just for 4 hours and as much as she had told me in the consultation session. She might have been able to fix the mess if I had proceeded with the second session. But I didn’t like my overall experience and didn’t bother to go there. Won’t come back again.

quite an amazing place,they got really good ventilation so you're very cool while getting a cut with its a relaxing ambience,lots of natural light comes in with the large front bay windows,Nothing will feel rushed here,they have light robes so you're clothing is completely hair free & not itchy,also provided a choice of green tea or espresso while you're hair dresser is getting prepared or cleaning up,Nicole did an excellent job with attention to detail in her craft,i got a men's short barber style,i really think this place is a gem and people don't write reviews so their favorite place won't get over crowded cause this place is that good! Trust me!

In one word: Excellence. In more words: Capelli Salon is my hair haven. I have never found a salon that I adore this much! Walked in one day 3 years ago after noticing the stylish location with it's wall-to-wall vaulted windows and was lucky enough to be introduced to the beyond-talented Stevi. Needless to say, I've not strayed from this salon since. Stevi is everything for my hair that other stylists and myself couldn't be.. a straight up master of her craft, who delivers the perfect cut and natural, flattering colour every-time! And she's a great conversationalist to boot! The Capelli team members are all A-game for customer service and professionalism while also being super easy going. David should be very proud of the team he has built for his Salon. Huge fan over here and lifetime customer of Stevi's ♥️

I bought a voucher off of one of the deal sites for the haircut. As most people know they tend to be a hit or miss type of thing. I was really really happy with the end result. I had David doing my hair and he did an amazing job. I got a lot of compliments afterwards and my hair is incredibly easy to style now. I would definitely recommend this salon.

Went in looking waaaaay better than when I came out...definitely not worth the money. I should have known by the number of seniors coming out. I may be 57 but that does not mean I want a 57 year old standard haircut which is what I got. Aldo was nice but distant. Did not seem to be involved.when I said I wanted something a little more modern. I will not recommend to anyone looking for an update. My hair so short now it will be months before I can consider a change.

Horrible service! I was quoted Ombre from Sarah Namrood for $230. I had my appointment changed twice! When i finally came in, she was servicing another client for ombre at the same time. Told me that my hair was damaged (i was in for a cut anyway) and told me she will be darkening my hair. I have always been told i have very healthy hair as I do not straighten it, or use any products. I thought it was because she was too busy with another client. She had someone else wash, blowdry and style my hair. She only applied the color and gave me a light trim. She over charged me…$250!!!!!!!! and asked for tip as welll! What a rip off for DARK HAIR!!!!!! I was extremely upset, there was no service provided. Not even a sorry for changing my appointment so many times. Huge disappointment, i DO NOT recommended her. She only posts her BEST work on her instagram! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! RIP OFF!!!!!

I have been getting my haircut from Dave for over 25 years! Over the years, I lived in both Calgary and Toronto and never found an individual more skilled than him. In fact, during those years I would make a point when in town to ensure that I saw him, wherever he might of been working at the time. Now that I am back in VAN, my wife now enjoys his mastery!
