Any other service you do, the shampoo is not included! So take that into account before you shell out $100 for a "touch up". They also didn't wash all of the color out of my hair. Finally the "style" they did at the end was very odd and did not look good. I was not happy with my service.

Really good blow out. The head massage was so relaxing. I wanted to make an appointment over my lunch and they were able to fit me in. I made an appointment after having my hair done for my sister’s engagement and they were able to get all the product out of my hair. Will go again for treatments in the future. It is a bit pricier than my normal hair salon though. Try them out for yourself. Super relaxing.

Very clean salon and super friendly staff as well! Daichi gave me a nice haircut and made sure that I wanted the specific length he was cutting. Their pricing is reasonable compared to other salons in the area and extra points goes to their high tech washing station. Not to mention they are quite notorious with 150 salons across the world. They're also conveniently located across BC place.

No social skills AND no actual skills towards profession. Would have really been satisfied with either or. Did not get her name but was sort of boyish looking. I booked in to Aube on Hornby. I got a wash, cut and blowdry with stylist Yohan and it was amazing from start to finish. I was a little late to my appointment they were so accommodating and friendly. The hair wash and massage was so relaxing, Yohan cut my hair better than what I described it was exactly what I wanted. I'm so happy with the results and my whole experience and you just can't argue with the prices. I will definitely be back again!

Been longing to get a haircut, and decided to try a new salon spot. Had a lovely hair experience here glad i found this place! I had a stressful day at work that day I literally had a breakdown ahah, but Yuki (i believe thats her name?) made my day SO much better. Literally i went from :( to :D HAHA. She’s so fun to talk to and shes so cool! I asked for a hair trim and it was a very relaxing and comfortable experience! I first got my hair trimmed, then a shampoo and then a blow dry with my hair styled by another staff! Her hands were so gentle oml, i was literally smiling under my mask as she was massaging the shampoo product into my hair. It was very relaxing and released all the tension and stress out of me. I don’t know his name but the other guy was also very sweet too! Very nice and ended off my session with beautifully curled hair. My hair is also really thick, i love how they turned it very lightweight. The overall atmosphere of the salon is really vibrant, very clean and they even have spacious lockers to keep your stuff in! The hair bath thing spot is also very comfy, comfortable seating. My old salon that i used to go to would have these super un comfy chairs I swear my spine was about to break lol and would be aggressive with their hands too. Not the case with Aube! definitely coming back for my next haircut!! Also great price. Highly recommend visiting this place for your next hair makeover.

The service was great but my hair turned out very poor :( Super uneven and was not blended in with the rest of my hair, waited for it to grow out and see if that would change anything but it didn't. Maybe I was unlucky but it was a shame since everyone was very nice.

Yuki gave me a haircut and color, she was amazing and extremely helpful, very polite and friendly. She did a really incredible job and was very attentive to how I wanted my hair to look, the head massage was super relaxing I almost fell asleep getting my hair washed. The salon is nicely designed with lots of space, cool brick wall and white interiors. Social distancing and safety measures were followed the entire time and everyone had their mask on. The prices are reasonable as well and no one tried to upsell me anything beyond what I asked for. I would definitely come back here!

Incredible professional experience. I didn't have an exact idea of what I wanted, but Makoto was more than able to help me figure that out. In the past it has been harder for other salons to achieve the cooler tones that I like, but the colour was perfect and has been incredible easy to maintain. Definitely will be returning!

Overall the service is good, the products they use are of good quality and I like going their for my hairs. If you’re looking for a good salon, this Japanese one is for sure. They have two locations and both are good.

He listened to my instructions and used a photo I brought to use as reference. He's very fast and courteous (even asking me to wash my hands prior to the cut). I'll start getting my cuts here! Been coming here for the last two months and their level of technique and service is excellent! For your hairwash (twice for a cut), you're also seated in a chair that converts to bed, which makes the whole experience extra relaxing!

It was my 3rd time and I was so disappointed. I have been noticed that even before when I arrived on time, they make me wait more than 10mins all the time and so this time. And after that they showed me the price of cut and Japanese straight perm as I told them at the first place. It was $280 without tip and I was so surprised how expensive that is. Cause I looked up online and it is from $150 and cut was about $40 and even including the tax it is way too expensive and they just showed me the price and not to explain what's including. I suspect that there's not only the price for those 2. This time, I felt really uncomfortable because of they seemed rush and they treat me like garbage or something. When they are doing my hair they flip my hair and hit my face several times as well as hair comb. I know that they need to rush, but for the price of all I expected more. If the customer service was better I was happy to pay for the price. But overall how much you pay I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

I thought the hair color was a lot darker than what I had wanted even though I had requested gray it turned our ash brown. I think we probably could have kept the bleach in for a little longer ???? but overall the hair cut and color was very pretty and I would still come back! Really thought the staff were amazing and also the salon was super clean!

had a haircut. the girl literally asked me exactly what to do and did exactly what I said but nothing more. spent 30 mins to thin my hair and that was done (didn't even thin evenly, now it looks like my hair is falling off). Don't really understand why didn't I just cut my own hair and save the money if that's the case. It's a consistent problem with most of the Japanese hair salons here in Vancouver tho, tried so many shops and all of them are this way. I haven't had a good haircut for years.

The staff was very professional and everyone was friendly. It is a Japanese hair salon but the staff are fluent in english as well. It is an excellent quality hair cut for a fair price and includes shampoo and conditioner. The inside of the salon is very clean and is a nice modern style. They do touch ups for colour at $60 and do a bleach for $100. Overall I would recommend this store to everyone who wants a good cut & great customer service. I always feel great when I leave Aube!

I was visiting Vancouver on holiday and I found this salon by the good reviews. The website is great and has accurate pricing too. Makoto was the stylist who cut my hair. He consulted with me about what I wanted from my new haircut and went from there. I wanted a pretty drastic change, from long to shoulder length and he made sure to let me know it will be different. My hair was shampooed before the cut and it was very relaxing in the flattening wash chairs. Makoto did a great job with the cut, doing what I wanted but also working with my hair, which is thick and needed extra attention in places. I appreciate that it was cut to look good with my hair. I would definitely recommend this salon. The services are very good, the staff was very friendly, and the pricing is very reasonable.

I've booked an appointment with Yuki couple days ago after reading positive reviews. The appointment was about an hour and Yuki did an excellent job. She delivered exactly what I've been looking for and I'm very happy with my haircut. Overall the experience was very pleasant, and the value is great for the area, I was able to get a haircut, head massage and styling for 45$. Will definitely be back.

I got a haircut and toning twice here. The haircuts are great and it includes styling for 43 dollars which is good for downtown. The toning is also a great price at this location. They are GREAT at shampooing- great massages and products used. I am going next time for coloring and highlights.

I got my hair dyed blond and cut my hair short. They know how to cut Asian hair styles pretty well, so I was happy with their work. They also know how to cut Asian hair properly. They have great service and are fast. All the staff working there were very friendly and well mannered. I left the salon very happy with my experience. Their work is efficient and effective. The salon was very clean and they provide lockers for your things. I had my hair redone by Makoto who gave me a thorough consultation of which I knew what to expect after. He did a test strand for me just to give me an idea of how it will look and it was good. When it was all done, I was super happy with the results! Thank you Makoto!

I don't recommend this hair salon. They don't respect customer's time. Most of the stylists serve more than one customer at the same time. It turns out you just sit there and wait for your stylist to take care another customer during your appointment. Meanwhile, you can feel the stylist rushed the service and it did affect the quality. Terrible time management.

Olivia was very kind and did a nice consultation at the beginning of the appointment. I could tell that she was very knowledgeable as she answered my questions well and brought up details that most stylists would often disregard. The shampooing was divine with a nice scalp massage. Not a 5/5 because my haircut didn’t come out how I asked (it was by no means bad, just not what I was looking for), and it felt like the appointment was rushed. From my experience most salons will ask if you want your hair styled at the end or apply some serum but there was nothing.

I like my haircut here. This is the 2nd time doing Express Keratin Treatment here. The keratin treatment in the first round lasted longer and I didn't use the sulfate free keratin shampoo and conditioner that comes with it. For the second round, I used the sulfate free keratin shampoo and conditioner but it has only been a few days and it seems like the keratin treatment has already worn off
