Very unprofessional and rude staff. I was massaged with loose rubber gloves that crinkled into my skin. Due to the loose fitting gloves, during the massage I enjoyed listening to the rustling of a plastic bag. The "masseuse" had no idea what she was doing, a complete amateur at best. She asked, several times, if spots were knots and to "guide her"... they were my kidneys and anything but a knot. So she continued to mash her thumbs into them regardless of me wincing in pain and asking to lighten her pressure. Further, she was drinking and slurping from a water bottle or coffee above my head. Listening to that is not exactly relaxing on top of having to explain what kidneys feel like vs a knot in the tissue. The manager who called me the following Monday was particularly impolite and disrespectful. As I was explaining the details that took place during my massage she would talk over me and cut me off mid-sentence. Telling me she doesn't care to know the details. I was not apologized to nor shown any compassion regarding my terrible experience other than a very unprofessional manager that after a bit of arguing, finally refunded the money. In my experience, this was not relaxing, professional or in anyway satisfying. The staff are amateur, sloppy and unprofessional, the manager is nothing short. Spend a little bit extra and go any where else but here.

Such a great local shop. My husband, mother-in-law, and I were in Banff for rememberance day 2017 as a mini vacation. We called all the spas supported by our hotel, and could not get in at the same time or without changing our service. We just wanted a nice pedicure with lower leg massage. Called Sharol, and she got us in the next day. Only two chairs, but nice and cozy, with an intimate feel. They use basins instead of tubs, and show you the cleaning and preparation of your area. They autoclave their instruments and are willing to show you the process. They also use diamond foot tools that are German made and require less rubbing for value removal. Erin and Sharol were our esthetician, and very helpful with telling us where to go for local restaraubts that aren’t corporately run. Well worth the average price we paid. Will go again!

Just had an amazing pedicure by Sharol. She gave me great advice about my feet (fallen arches) and explained why I was getting corns and bunions. She is trained in how to 'drill' out corns - which i didn't know was possible! Another lady was getting a pedi beside me and the four of us had great chats and lots of laughs. My feet feel fantastic and no more corns!

My wife booked me in for a pedicure and it was great. Service was excellent and although i was a little apprehensive before i arrived (because i had never had a pedicure before) the ladies made me feel very comfortable and relaxed when I got there. Highly recommended and I will be back.

I had a beautiful mani/ pedi and re-balancing facial done here this week. The salon was very clean and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The ptoducts they used were very fresh smelling and not over-powering at all. My skin was hydratred and beautiful for my special day and my nails were perfect. Thank You Emily ❤️

I lived in Banff back in 2008 and enjoyed going here for massages. I found out that good friends of mine were looking for a place to have a couples massage. I went out of my way to suggest Body Concepts because of the great service I had experienced in the past. After hearing what my dear friends went thru during their experience, I will not be recommending this place ever again, I am embarrassed that the recommendation came from me! Spend a bit more and go elsewhere! Awful management!

My husband and I went for a couples massage and it was the most terrible massage experience we have ever had. First of all, my husband requested that the focus be on his lower back due to a recent injury.....there was a total of 5 minutes spent on the entire back. My massage therapist gave me the most uncomfortable massage at points where I was cringing from the pain and the uncomfortable pressures he was providing. I go to massages often so I understand the difference between an experienced massage therapist who is trying to get a knot out, but this was in NO WAY that type of therapy....it just really felt like the person had no idea what he was doing. Never once were my husband and I asked if the pressures were good or never was I asked if I was ok, when my face was clearly cringing once I was lying on my back. We both left uncomfortable and in no way felt more relaxed. Nonetheless, we left no tip and will never return to this day spa. It is too bad as we visit Banff often...we will just have to stick to the other spa venues from now on. NOT RECOMMENDED.

This is a lovely place and they have excellent prices, which is almost unheard of in Banff! This is the most painless waxing I have ever had done in my life, and I was looking like a sasquatch the first time I went to Sharol. They do a great locals deal for a brazilion wax - $20 off if you go back within a month. Overall, great prices for Banff - full leg, brazilian, and underarms for just over $100. Sharol is excellent and super friendly. I highly recommend body concepts!

I had the most bizarre, uncomfortable massage at Body Concepts. It was literally the worst massage I've ever had in my life. The massage therapist wore rubber gloves, so it felt incredibly strange and uncomfortable. As the massage went on, the gloves got more loose and started making crinkling noises. The therapist did not seem to know what she was doing either. I left feeling worse than when I arrived. I found myself counting down the minutes to when it was going to be over because of how uncomfortable I was.

Visited today with one other for the first time as visiting the area, very satisfied with the service we both were given all staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a very good feeling of friendliness unlike many other beauty shops that I have visited before. Cheryl who owns it is bubbly and very hands on , I had Jax fir my treatments and she was just great. Should we ever be in this area again as come from the UK I would definitely visit. Keep up the great work ladies your all amazing.
