***temporary review*** Went for a cut today and was very specific of what I had wanted “trim the sides, and AROUND my permed Mohawk/mullet”. This stylist completely chopped off the longest part of my mullet. I am very disappointed. For a long time, I carried the “well, it’s just hair motto”, but this stylist ruined my hair. I spent a very long time growing out my hair, and it was gone in seconds. This was my first experience with this salon. I have a follow-up with the manager later this evening.

Horrible service and reception. Call to ask a simple question and get told off for asking if they have any openings. In HER words, they are not a "High end salon. Are understaffed and DONT BOTHER walking in, they aren't accepting walkins at this time" Like, that is NOT how to talk to a customer!

Worst haircut service I’ve received so far. The lady who did my hair was aggressive to the point that she cut my scalp and did nothing sort of styling. Almost poked into my eye with the scissor. I literally felt threatened. Ruined my hairline. She didn’t even bothered doing the side line. When I asked if she could just line it she said “I don’t think you need it” and started taking off my apron. $22 and my hair ruined. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going through this.

Just moved to St. John's when Covid-19 closed everything. Not having a hairstylist once things opened up was concerning but our fears disappeared when Lahey's was willing to take on new clients in desperate need of a haircut. Finding a new hairstylist can be challenging so we were both surprised to find our 1st attempt was successful. Both our cuts were exactly what we Invisioned. When in St. John's and find yourself in need of a haircut, highly recommend checking out Lahey's.

I've been going here for 40 years, how's that for loyalty? Always the same great customer service and friendly faces, trained professionals will great you when you enter their modern Salon..they are accommodating for walk-in clients, the wait time is usually short however I do make an appointment when I can. Maurice Lahey has come a long way from his beginning on Pennywell Road many years ago. Wonderful people and a great place.

Got my hair cut there today. Horrible. It might of been fast but the lady that cut my hair was bad. First she had the cap on wayyyy to tight. Put the wrong blade on the clippers. Cut my hair way to short than i told her. Nicked the back of my neck. Horrible time. Not sure if i will come back. I have been going to Laheys for some time. Might be my last.

Had some girl coughing over me while she left patches of #1 across my head after being specifically told #3. The owner, “lahey” basically said it was my fault he hires incompetent employees and will leave you without refund. If you want to look like a zebra I recommend going to this terribly managed establishment.

Not a good place to go. My son got his hair butchered all uneven and just an all around bad job. When asked to fix it the woman yelled and was very irate to the point the point that my son felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave.i would not recommend thus place to anyone

I booked a hair loss consultation and cut and colour. Never there before but the ads made them seem specialists in this area. Their only offering was a wig. The stylist seemed bored and disappointed she had me asking so many questions. Her cut and colour was uninspired and she seemed to hate her job. Baaaad vibe. I'll never go back.

The lady that did my daughters hair did a fantastic job - i was slightly shocked when they sent me to a different woman to cut my hair and the woman that did my hair butchered it. She cut my bangs incorrectly causing them to look ridiculous i now after theyve grown out some have to get them fixed. I asked for a side bang and certainly didnt get that. I told her i wished for my hair to be collarbone length - slightly below my shoulders and she cut my hair just below my chin. It has since been 2 months and my hair is finally grown out enough that i can get it fixed by someone who actually knows what shes doing.
