I am new to Kingston and visited Envy for a haircut. I am from Toronto, and have been to many great salons there. I've had one of the best haircuts and overall experiences at this salon. The staff was extremely friendly, professional and most importantly excellent in their craft. I do not remember the name of my stylist, but she was brilliant. Thank you folks! I've definitely found my go to place!

I was tired of getting bad hairs cuts from several salons in Kingston, who do not know how to cut and style curly hair. I went to envy and Mallory knew exactly what I wanted and delivered. Also, they were the first salon who told me that I wouldn’t have to strip the colour from my hair first before changing the colour. My hair was black. I wanted to change it to a brown with caramel highlights. Everywhere else told me that the black would absorb all colours unless I stripped it first. Envy told me otherwise. Mallory did an awesome job! I saw results in the colour change the first time. I would definitely recommend seeing Mallory, she’s knows what she’s talking about and delivers with results.

Had such an amazing experience at Envy. I went in with a full head of hair requesting to cut it all down to a pixie type haircut. I was fortunate enough to have Cathrine do my hair and I must say it was the best salon experience of my life. She gave me exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to meet my hair needs. I was so scared about getting her haircut since she is too young but initially when the owner started with her hair, I felt really relaxed. Thank you so much for doing such an amazing job. I absolutely love the service I receive from Mallory. I've been seeing her for years and though I only go twice a year she remembers me, how I like my hair cut, and some of the life events we talk about. It is a very welcoming environment with extremely friendly stylist. Mallory is also fantastic at dying hair, she's added and removed colour from hair and has always done an amazing job.

First time to Envy. The stylist that I had an appointment with was unable to work so Shane fit me into his full Saturday schedule. My hair desperately needed some TLC. He took care of the color and trimmed it back into shape. Also recommended product to keep it healthy. I made a follow up appointment next time I'm in Kingston. Highly recommend this salon!

I got a great cut here and my wrist was amazing! The only thing I didn't like was that the colour didnt last like he said it would. That could be the color or my hair I suspect the first of the 2!! Either way he was very insightful and gave me a fabulous cut. The team offered me beverages as I waited. The wait time for my appointment from booming to salon was 2 days !AWESOME!! Can't beat that!! Amazing team there as well and great line of products. I got Moroccan oil there and I also tried one of the curly twist products which is amazing. Again recommended by my stylist and its great!! Great color selection here, so many to choose from!!

I truly need to give this place 5 stars. And a huge shout out to Mallory. She is a colour genius. She can literally make magic. While she did not cut my hair- she bravely fixed the mess it was making it trendy, and doing it with a background of the chemicals and techniques she was using. She knows her stuff. She was super kind and fun also. Which never hurts. I watched 2 guys also get their hair cut while I was there- and both were fab and trendy. I was scared this small town didnt now have this caliber of skills. But look no further! I am in love and will be back!

I was in town for my brother's graduation and booked an early morning blow dry with Colinda. Colinda did an excellent job, and the blow out has lasted for several days. Colinda was pleasant and made conversation without being pushy. In addition to the excellent service, the salon was clean and tastefully decorated, striking the right balance between minimalist and "too much." If I lived in Kingston, I would definitely back.

I am SO glad I found Gilles! After years of living in Kingston and going to numerous hair salons, Gilles was the first stylist to check all of the boxes! I highly recommend, especially if you’re looking to go blonde/get highlights. Gilles is thorough and is very meticulous. Love this place. Everytime I visit Kingston, I come to Envy and ask for Shane to do my hair. He is great at listening to what you want and making you feel a million dollars when you leave the salon. I have had him do my hair 3 times now... It is a 'must do trip' when I go to Canada from the UK. The venue itself is clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and professional and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the services.

Service was great and enjoyed the girl who cut my hair, but it was the exact opposite I had asked for. I had asked for a warm, caramel colour ombre look (even showed many pictures) and got an icy blond full head of highlights. The highlights are done well, but not at all what I was looking for. I also asked for layering (nothing too extreme) and she only put in one layer straight across my head - looks similar to a bowl cut on top of my hair. I've gotten layers many times before, and nothing has ever turned out this bad. I will have to wear my hair up until it grows out. My hair also feels straw like now - every time after I've dyed my hair before it feels fine. She thinned out my hair to the point where my pony tail looks choppy and very very thin - before it was thick. For the price, I would look else where and probably get something cheaper, or the same price but much higher quality. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

I never ever leave reviews, but I had to this time. My hair got completely ruined by another salon that dyed my bangs jet black, so I was walking around with brunette hair and jet black bangs. Jen at Envy Hair Studio was super kind and patient and put in so much work to get my hair back to my natural colour, and she totally saved my hair. I’m so grateful. Best experience ever. First time client First of all the owner did the color and that ended quite well. Then another hair dresser cut my hair I'm horrified at the length of my hair. I specifically told her about keeping the length and just a trim to get rid of dead ends, . Even my husband was surprised as he had never seen me with such short hair. It's very uneven, choppy she said she wanted to get the back even with the sides (I told her they never grew, even told her my daughter's hair is the same way) I never write reviews but I have to look at myself in the mirror everyday and I paid so much money to feel horrible. It wouldn't be a big deal if my hair grew quickly but they take forever to grow so I'm kinda stuck.

Jen Howell was the most personable, kind, entertaining and talented esthetician that I have had the pleasure of having to do my hair. I came in for a balayage and style with long thick brown, previously died hair. Jen listened to my every word, and she was not afraid to make helpful suggestions to help ensure I got the quality result that I was hoping for. This demonstrated real professional discretion and care. I appreciated that Jen was willing to do anything she could to ensure I left with a smile on my face, and smile I did. Jen stayed a half hour after closing which was well beyond her hours, and it really showed her dedication to her practice and to her client’s happiness. I had requested a hair dresser with plenty of experience with blonde and balayage and I was placed with Jen. She certainly performed with professionalism, talent and skill and I was very impressed. Envy hair studio is very lucky to have Jen representing their company! Thank you Jen for the new hair! I am in love with it. I love that Envy is an Eco-salon! For this reason as well as the incredible customer service that I received from Jen H, I will certainly be coming back! It was very fun to have my hair dresser take before pics and then have a station set up with a light for after photos! I got to feel like a model and had so much fun in the space!
