I went in there blank minded asked for a "hook it up" and did he ever!!! he welcomes you with a smile and a beverage if you'd like one the atmosphere in welcoming and theres always good music and vibes in there. I sat down asked me if I was in hurry or not, and did his thing; at the end rinsed off and looking as one of my co-workers said "looking like a stud muffin". I have been back since and I'm willing to travel from the west end to Zou zou hair group all the time!! Joseph do what you do and never stop

He was a very nice and cheerful person, but I was not happy with my cut. I showed him a picture and we seemed on the same page. When he styled it it looked fine but when I had a shower I realized how choppy and uneven it is. My hair is super thick and he did not do any thinning or blending with any of the layers. I realize he mostly cuts men hair so probably not as experienced with long thick hair and how it acts when cut that way...

I specifically asked for a certain haircut and hairstyle but didn't get what I expected to get. Although, the service was professional, I still think they could do better by asking the customer, "is the water too hot?" or "is the blow dryer too hot?" Just like other stylists, they want to do what they want for you, not what you want. Now I have to cut my hair again (not from this place) because I wasn't satisfied at all. I was supposed to grow my hair so I can donate it, but ????‍♀️.

Best barber in all of edmonton. I've been to many different barbers in the city and its hard to find someone that's just right. The barber is also the owner of the place and therefore really puts pride and effort into your haircut. He does exactly what I request each time, and I always leave extremely happy. His prices are very low and he knows his stuff. He's an extremely friendly, funny and nice dude and always makes you feel welcome in his establishment. I can't recommend this guy enough. I found Josephs shop in reddit after my stylist of 7 years moved onto another career. I was very hesitant to start with someone new but he's been terrific so far. Having Asian hair that I've been told multiple times is particularly difficult to cut, he explained his approach to cutting it to prevent the cowlicks I often get... And he's been very successful. Joseph himself is a very welcoming person and extremely easy to get along with. His online booking system is great, and his good natured humor will keep me coming back.

Wow! This place is amazing, I called on a Saturday at 5pm to see if they could fit me in, google says they close at 7pm but the owner said he stay late and take me at 7pm. He was pretty friendly and only charged me the 30mins rather than the scheduled 45mins, which I thanked him for. However, he hadn't asked once how I wanted my hair cut past asking me how much I wanted to cut off. I asked for layers that started just below my jaw, but only one side was that short and the layers were very choppy. Then I asked for bangs (again he didn't ask) and they came out crooked and choppy as well. I asked for just below the eyebrow so there's not much you can do to fix them until they grow out, which I'll do myself.

He has exceptional interpersonal skills and always knows how to make me look and feel my best. Although I no longer live in Edmonton, I make an effort to get my haircut from him whenever I pop into the city. He provides discounted rates to students and is located close to the University of Alberta, understands the intricacies of different hair types, and completes his work in a timely manner without compromising quality. Highly recommend you give him a shot! He is a busy guy so I do recommend using his online booking system or giving him a call in advance.

Wow, where to start. I love this place! I used to cut my own hair, which was easy when it was short, however, I decided to grow it out. As I didn’t even want to attempt to cut my own (now longer) hair, I set off in search of somewhere to get my hair cut, and landed on Zouzou Hair. After reading several reviews for Zouzou Hair, I decided to give it a shot, and, damn, am I glad I did! Not only is Joseph extremely skilled in cutting hair, he is also a very personable and social character who doesn’t make an appointment something you HAVE to go to, rather, he makes it something you WANT to go to. Through his social and polite personality, he will make you feel comfortable and at home the second you walk through the door. His work also speaks for itself; I received many comments (and compliments) on the very first, and subsequent haircuts I had from him. Honestly, I used to dread haircuts from random places - after all, your hair is something you and others will look at every day of your life (when you are around a mirror or other people, of course). Probably the best haircut I have ever had! My brother and I had never been here before and chose this place based on location and reviews. I was less than a week from my wedding and my brother was my best man. We did not catch the owners name but he cut both my brother's and my hair. He did an excellent job of making recommendations about what style would look good for both of us. He was very friendly and easy to get along with. For the quality of the hair cut the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend.

This guy's haircuts are always tight. I never make an appointment and he always fits me in. Amazing prices and he can do it in 5 minutes if you are in a hurry but it still looks great. Definitely recommend it!

I didn't get the haircut I wanted even though I showed a picture and spent time describing what I wanted. I had asked for the sides of my head to be faded, and this was not done at all. I also felt like the barber was trying to rush me out as fast as possible. My appointment took less than 20 minutes. I have never had a faster or worse haircut. What's more, the shop was an absolute mess. There was roofing tiles and garbage everywhere as he was renovating the roof. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. I will not be coming back
