An awesome experience with Serena. She was THOROUGH and had great communication skills to understand what I wanted to achieve. She had great knowledge of colour, had high skills in precision cutting and detailed every step of the process. As well, gave great tips on how to achieve salon style at home. A great experience from a former Torontonian/Montrealer who is used to high end salon atmospheres.

Omar and Serena provide a great atmosphere in their cozy stylish community location. Free parking!! Great Staff. I have been looking for two years for a new stylist who is creative and quality. Serena listened to my wants and needs. She suggested some great ideas and check in often to make sure I was happy with the direction she was taking. My cut and color is the best haircut I have had in a very long time!! Velvet Style's rates are very reasonable making it affordable to offer extra generosity to the staff. Great salon... how did it take me so long to find!!!!

Serena gave me the best hair experience I’ve had in a very long time. She made me feel comfortable, she listened to what I had in mind for myself and upon arriving in the salon she explained again in detail what she we were going to do and was very friendly and most importantly she is talented! The shop is beautiful and everyone there (customers included) were just so friendly. I would highly recommend this place and Serena to anyone looking for a new stylist. I know I’ll be coming here for a long time!

Omar has been cutting my hair for years now. He keeps up to date on all the latest techniques and styles by traveling to New York for classes each year. He has won competitions, so you know he's good! Omar and Serena are very professional, giving excellent haircuts, great styling advice, and beautiful colour. The interior is modern and spotlessly clean, yet the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting.

My 3 boys who are now young men have been going to Serena since they were kids. She is very friendly and always takes her time to give them amazing haircuts. This is not easy because they have very coarse and straight hair and they had suffered through many bad 'bowl cuts' before they started going to her! The salon itself is small and personal and has a great vibe. Omar, the other stylist (and owner) is always busy and seems to have a great rapport with his clientele, too. I highly recommend this shop.
