This is definitely the place to go for a stylish haircut that you don’t need to book a week in advance. Not sure if I can give them a bad review for being busy but there isn’t much seating available and sometimes over an hour wait for a haircut. Might be best to check in first then grab lunch somewhere on a busy day.

Ive been coming here since I moved to Medicine Hat in 2017. The stylists are friendly and do a great job. The mirrors have tvs to catch up on the sports news and you have a selction of drinks and magazines while you wait. If you need your ears lowered this is the place to go!

Had a hot head shave and hot face shave. My hairdresser did a good job with the head shave but not that good with the face. I would not get the face shave again. Be prepared to wait as it is busy. Book online beforehand.

Been here a few times. Over time service has significantly declined. Things get done in a hurry rather than well done. New hairdressers don't know what they are doing. Your hair, unless you volunteer, is not a training ground to end up with holes and chunks of hair.

I bought this as a gift for my husband for Father's Day. I spend $80 so he could go there and have the worst experience ever. First of all you can't make an appointment in person you have to actually go online create an account to make an appointment. Second my husband's beard beard is crooked and he has to go somewhere else and have it fixed. Third the guy that worked on him had such bad BO it made him gag. This one staff member perhaps needs to know that washing with soap and wearing clean clothes is very important when you work with the public I would not recommend this business to anyone.

I love the haircut I got, and for someone like me who might as well be legally blind when it comes to style, it felt like the person who cut my hair worked legit magic. My husband came in here today, and checked in at the booking tablet and it said 40 min wait, it then went down to 20 mins while he was waiting which is fine and then it said now, so obviously you sit there and think you will be taken next ! nope 15 mins later still sat, 20 mins still sat and then it came up on the screen 1 hour 50 mins wait. He then went to speak to someone and she said she was not sure, so the hair dresser came across and they did not know what the problem was with the tablet booking system. Maybe technology is not that great sometimes! my husband left with no haircut after spending over one and half hours sitting in Tommy Guns !

I will not let my husband get a hair cut here EVER AGAIN! The lady with all the tattoos, was trying to hang her barely chest in his face and touching him in any way she deemed fit while washing his hair. She was very overly touchy with him and I felt as a hairdresser she was wildly inappropriately dressed. He asked for a specific hair cut and she gave him a faux hawk. Which if she knows anything about British soldiers they don’t have faux hawks! We immediately went home and got a friend to come over and blend his hair. I was absolutely disgusted by this woman! My 12 year old son got a hair cut, finger width by a lovely young lady with red hair, and I liked it. But our whole experience is based on this one girls demenor. And unprofessional approach to my husbands hair cut.

She said that the owners who owned the Tommy Guns in Saskatoon owned the one here in Brandon. I will sure be returning to the brand and getting my next cut to the location here in Brandon.

There is a staff person at Tommy Guns in Medicine Hat that deserves to recognized. Caitlin is just awesome. My son has never allowed for clippers or barely sat still for a cut. Caitlin went out of her way to make him comfortable and was extremely patient with him. Although dad got sprayed with a bottle a couple of times (I told him to do so) it was so worth it. Made my day and was so proud of my little guy and so impressed by Caitlin. You don’t get that type is service much anymore. I just went back recently for a shave and was lucky to get Caitlin again. Not only did she perform a great shave, she was very courteous, explained the process and made sure I was always comfortable. Tommy Guns is a great place for us Dads and dudes to go to especially with stylists like Caitlin!!

Haircuts have been inconsistent. Been here a few times already, and I get the same haircut everytime. 0 on the sizes and a little off the top. Would be nice if all barbers were proficient at fading/blending. Would make sense and it's a reasonable expectation because it's predominantly male customers that are coming in. Fading/blending proficiency should be at least a skill to have when working at TG. The fade/blend I got today was seemed decent from afar, didnt really notice the poor blending when I got home and looked in the mirror. The side of my scalp has distinct lines across and from the front you can easily tell that the hair doesnt transition smoothly, kinda protrudes. Going to have my buddy who cuts his own hair to fix it up for me tonight.

Probably one of the worst barber shops in town. Definitely would recommend looking else where for a cut. Went in twice now on a weekday at 7pm and was turned away with "we are booked up". The shop was completely empty both times with no names on the screen, and the one girl was wiping down the chairs. No way they were booked up. The website and door both say closes at 9. Like I said, look elsewhere. The experience was very dissatisfying. Can't see this place staying in business long with service like this.

Went here to just if they were open during COVID. They have 8 different signs on their door. One states to wear a mask, one states that they are closed, another states that it is by appointment only. There was somebody inside so I politely asked if they were infact open? I got a rude "read the sign". In which I asked which sign as there are a total of 8 signs on the door that contradict each other. The manager/lady I dealt with was incredibly rude. Will never go here.

If you are having an off day you can spend your time watching a movie while the barber cuts your hair in silence. I moved to MH in June and started going to Tommy Gunns as it had been years since I’ve been to one. Service has always been good, but my visit yesterday was the best I have ever had. Assistant manager Kristen was my hair professional. She wasn’t rushed, she addressed my concerns, conversation was enjoyable and not forced and overall created a very positive experience. I was always planning to return, but will be asking for her specifically from now on. Thanks Kristen!

My husband has been getting haircuts at Tommy Guns for years. Within the last 6 months his cuts have been incredibly poor quality. The crooked moustache and hair lines are so awful, it’s hard not to laugh when he comes home. I can’t understand how they could possibly let him leave with a hair cut that awful! They need to hire better quality stylists or stop rushing people though the door. You’ve lost a long time customer.

Usually a great place to get a haircut. Service is great and people are friendly but I got a terrible haircut. The fade wasn't faded at all and the line was visible. I'm sure this experience doesn't speak to the rest of the barbers here, but I beleive everyone of their staff should be vetted and qualified to perform the job at a high level, and unfortunately based off my experience, it wasn't the case here. Proceed with caution

If you want a terrible haircut , Tommy Guns may be the first place you want to go . I've tried three different girls . They must be hiring them fresh out of school . Over priced , poor quality . Today I asked for a slight trim and received a brush cut . Perfect if I was enlisting into the army tomorrow morning .

UPDATE: from 2 to 3 stars. I had a decent cut recently (I won't say from who - just in case). I got an email (unsolicited) after my last update, I didn't respond. Mysteriously, my app quit working shortly after, even after reinstall. No need to send another email. 4 stars to 2 stars. Since writing this, ________ hasn't been in. Hopefully my inclusion of her name, didn't cause jelousy. I have redacted her name in hopes that she will be back. I hope she comes back, so far I've only had mediocre hair cuts. So far I have tried 4 or 5 barbers??? And none of them has come close to ________'s precision or care. I don't need conversation, I'm looking for a good hair cut. I now keep a list of those who have disappointed me. If I get through all of the staff before _______ comes back, then my review will be updated to one star and I will go elsewhere. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Tough to rate this barbershop. I have difficult hair to cut. I have had a mix of good and bad cuts, but now that I see _________ my cuts are always good. The Tommy guns app is terrible, it can't seem to accurately estimate appointment times. Seems as though I'm either too early, or someone was just put in front of me. The app is the best way to see if your barber is available. My rating is for my cuts (recent) not the app or the process (they're more like 2-3 stars).
