I have been going to the Men's Room for about 5 years now. At first I started with one of the stylists, that is until i started seeing Adelai. Let me tell you our conversations are excellent, I always tell her to give me the style she thinks would work, and she does her magic. I am always happy there. They do their best to fit me in, sometimes on short notice. She's the type that understands business, travel, and generally a great attitude toward life. When I get there early I sit in the massage chair, have a coffee, and wait til she gets me. She knows a lot about me from all the haircuts I get, and we generally never run out of things to talk about. It's cool.

I've been going here for a few years now and the service here is great. The facility is nice and they offer lots of great services for men and women. They have also been good about Covid restrictions, always masked or behind plexi and you just hold your mask on while they do your ears etc. I will continue to come here for a long time I think.

Are you a human with hair? If so I recommend coming to the Mensroom. They are attentive to what you need, have drinks before your cut, and you get a free clean up between cuts. Can't recommend this place enough!

Sadly, a lot of hype and no delivery. Went in for a beard trim and haircut. the haircut was okay, but the beard trim was extremely poor. I had to shave the neck area when I arrived at home, and had to clean up hair growth on my cheeks. the stylist was knowledgeable and very social, but sadly this was literally a Friday "cant wait to get out of here" haircut. with tip, the whole experience was 75.00. This is Alberta 2016, 75 dollar haircuts are not exactly going to "cut" it if you fail to provide the deliverable as advertised. Back to BARBER HA

The staff are wonderful and the service is amazing. Kudos to Kristan who makes my head of hair look good. I had a 12 week COVID growth going and she managed to weed whack it back to something civilized... Go here. Get your haircut. Get your beard trimmed or shaped or hot shaved off. You will not be disappointed. In fact scruffy, you’ll look better. Stylish even.

Right off the bat she was awesome, on point and confident with her craft. My hair looks awesome. I have been going to the Mensroom for haircuts for over a year, and while they offer plenty other services, I can only vouch for the experience of haircuts.Service is pleasant from the moment you're walking in, and I feel the options are outlined plainly in the site for your information. I would recommend the place more for men who are looking to step up there personal grooming, as a cut or grooming products are more top-shelf than a typical walk-in barbershop. But it's worth it if your looking for quality; find your preferable stylist & they'll cater to your hair type & wants.

Went in for a beard trim and was clear that I only wanted a trim and to clean up the edges of my beard. I was told I had to take my glasses off for this, so I did. When she was done I had no beard! I had a 4" beard that I only wanted a tiny bit trimmed off of and she butchered it. While it did look ok what she did it was nothing like I requested and is not my style and now I have to spend months growing it back. Do not go here! Worst experience ever.

This was actually 5 start but not until they cancel my appointment that they made a month advance and they will just call me 2 days before my appointment and said no body going to do the service.. how unfortunate. So try to call back and book my appointment now giving me available that a month wait long again for only 30mins service wow. hopefully you guys atlist give some time when you're planning to cancel because my time is important.. you guys can keep the money that already paid since you wont refund it anymore. This was my first visit to the Men's Room in Commerce Place. I was lucky enough to get Nadia to give me an express cut. Nadia has a great personality and good conversation while cutting my hair. She offered advice and taught me how to texture my hair properly and recommended product to use in my hair. I will definitely be seeing Nadia again! :)

Nothing I hate more than going for my hair cut and the person who is the subject matter expert asks what guard to use on the clippers. Not an issue at the men's room Kirsten gives me the best cut and style of anywhere I've been ever. Oh Jimmy. It sounds like you're a real nice guy... (Eye roll) I probably would have given you a haircut to match that personality as well... And charged you extra. I see Adelai there in the "ladiesroom" section and the haircuts are fabulous. My husband and I have been going for years and are still commuting from Calgary for cuts from her. It's important to find a stylist that is a good fit. Sometimes this takes time! I believe the mensroom has lots to offer and would be a great fit for most. And maybe Jimmy should try First Choice Haircutters as "happy looks good on you"... One bad cut doesn't mean the whole salon sucks. The mensroom rocks. Especially Adelai.

Had an appointment with Dona Beyak yesterday. Was waiting for a really good hairt cut. But I am not so satisfied with it. I asked her to shorten my hair at the back with no curls at all popping from the sides aswell. But she was reluctant to make it plain. All she says is that it looks great! God I didn't want her opinion!! I personally wanted to get rid of it. I asked her again to see if it would be better to trim it off but she was telling me to wait till another visit. I was not happy about that , the main reason I came for a haircut is to shorten my sides and back hair to highlight the long hair on my top. But this cut is in no way to be considered a "Master cut". She is a great hairstylist( her work on instagram was phenomenal) except she failed to do the same in my case. I donno if it is because of those covid-19 restrictions. I am not sure whether if I should give it a second try again because of they very high price of the haircut. Also the interaction did not feel much natural.

Hair grew out pretty nicely. Was told that my hair cut came with a free touch up later but was not told or shown how to book the appointment. The People: reception was pretty disconnected. What an experience for the men and what a great place for men to go enjoy some respite after working so hard. This is one heck of a place to go routinely or to pick up a gift certificate or beard care line!! (among about a million other men specific regimes, very cool niche!)

This has become my new place to go for haircut and a beard trim. It is a little on the expensive side but hear me out - men you need to spend a little more on your hair cuts - I used to get the cheapest chop I could find at a corner barber shop or just jump into a cheap quick cuts salon and I was always unhappy with the job they did. The men's room can actually give me advice on how to trim my beard and they do a great job. They also have a complementary clean up where they just do your bangs and around the ears two to three weeks after your appointment. This means that you can look clean for longer and it makes the price tag of the salon visit come way down compared to two trips to the cheap barber shop.

Got a haircut here about 6 months or so ago and the envirorment was nice and clean but my issue was with the stylist. I asked for a 1' all the way up the sides, trimmed on the top and blended together. She began by telling me abourt how they dont use the guards and how what I asked for just couldnt happen because of "the weird shape of my head" and how they reframe because of the skills, so my hair took another form by the end, payed fine. Im getting a cut the other day and I noticed I was self concious about my now "weird shaped head"! It was the strangest thing but kinda funny thinking about it now cause it actually effected me.

The Mensroom is my go-to place to get my haircut. I've tried other local upscale barber shops but found them very overated and expensive. To be honest, I am a bit picky when it comes to my hair but I felt really at ease the moment I walked in the door. Everyone is really friendly and warm without being fake. One of the many perks of the Mensroom is that you get a free cleanup trim within three weeks of your cut, so you look crisp in between full cuts. When you book ask for Kirsten, she's fantastic.

I have been to this salon for 3 times now, and I gotta admit that the staff is very friendly and skillful. Although the standard hair price isn't cheap, the service is great. However to optimize your experience here, you need to make sure you know exactly what type of hairstyle you want and should have a general good understanding of your own style and hair to make it worth while. In summary, if price isn't a concern, the Men's Room have shown me many of its qualities and I'm sure there's more to come the more you visit them.

Had a good experience when I went in for a haircut and was looking maybe getting a massage and some other offered services. But the lack of an answer in 2-3 days to follow up leaves me disappointed.

Went in for a hot shave on the day of my wedding. When I got back to my hotel room to finish getting ready, I noticed that there was still a bunch of stubble left in the middle of my neck. Luckily, I was able to borrow one of my groomsmen's razors to finish the job. The worst part is that it cost me over $50 just for the shave. Thank god I had gotten my haircut done somewhere else - I can only imagine how terrible that would have been too. I'll never darken their doorway again. Stay clear of this place; expensive and mediocre at best.

I have recommend this place for their friendly front end staff and talented barbers to many friends and family. I have been bringing my son here for a few years now, he has very thick hair and they do a great job with it and him! However I can’t rate them higher because twice now recently I’ve booked an appointment (with the same person) and we’ve been left waiting 15-20 minutes. Why am I booking an appointment if you’re going to be late? If I was this late you’d likely turn me away, but it’s brushed off as a “whoops” or someone else’s fault. It’s unprofessional. The first time, you can let it slide but for the next appointment to be the same thing?

Started getting my hair cut with Kayla about 2 months ago. Kayla is great and responds to anything I want changed for the next time. Really enjoy the clean up I get after for free, makes it basically $20/haircut which is great for the quality of cut you receive. Worth the cost and great ambiance!

I went in for a shave; let me start off by saying the lady who did the shave was really nice and accommodating. But I have two complaints. Firstly I showed a picture of what I wanted it to look like and it wasn't really close to it. There were some areas missed and not the straightest edges. But I can live with that. My main issue was the price. Whereas most places charge 30-35 MAX for a hot towel shave (Tommy Gunn's, Barber Ha), this place charges $47 (not including tax or a tip) which is ridiculous. I'm sure in terms of the shave itself, as I would go more often, we can align in terms of what I want, but the price will definitely keep me away. It's unfortunate.
