This was my first time at the salon. I was incredibly impressed by the attention to detail all the staff gave to Covid protocol. I felt extremely safe through the entire process. That attention to detail is evident in all other aspects of their service there. The atmosphere is delightful, I liked the funky antique/modern mix of decor, the big windows letting in natural light and an entertaining view of Whyte Avenue. Dean was my stylist. He was delightful, and we had lots to chat about. He understands hair. I went to see him because two people I know get wonderful hair cuts from him, on not the easiest hair. He did a fabulous job on my thin fine straight hair with no body, to give it movement, and a life. Even my colour looked better when he had completed the cut. The acid test of a good haircut is your ability to replicate the look you had just leaving the salon... with ease. And my haircut definitely passed the acid test. Easiest blow out I have been able to achieve in a while, will a look I really enjoy. Thank you Dean! Dec 10/20- Couldn’t get in to see Dean. Gabby cut my hair, and did a fabulous job!!

A charming little vibrant salon I've been going to for nearly 2 years now. I've stumbled across master stylist Dean by chance and now absolutely refuse anyone else to cut my hair. He is a consummate professional, extremely knowledgeable, and very funny! The Beauty Parlour is full of exceptional stylists and very accommodating. I've been going to The Beauty Parlour for over a year now and my hair literally gets better and better. They are so educated and confident in the products and techniques they use. I recommend them to everyone. They will make you a latte (for free) to have while you get your hair done. The interior design is both relaxing and eye catching. The stylists are all delightful and all have a uniqueness about them and how they style. I believe they are also chemical free. Or as chemical free as you can get for a hair salon. Which I know a lot of people appreciate. They also do kids cuts. I've gotten my daughter's hair cut there too. It was delightful. They mostly use KM and Evo ???????? Go go go.

I have been going here for seven years and I’m kicking myself for only thinking of posting a review now. I see Kaley every year when I decide I’ve had enough of my full, Indian head of hair, and she obligingly gives me a beautiful, head-turning bob. Then it grows out and I show up again. I’m embracing the long hair now, but Kaley is still my chosen stylist. She treats my curls with care and doesn’t believe the length is a license to overpower my own thoughts and ideas, like stylists of the last have. She always remembers me - despite likely being her most irregular client. The salon itself is always clean, everyone in good moods, and it’s never run behind or left me unsatisfied.

I started going to the beauty parlour in 2010! Since moving away and then returning, I met Kaley for a hair consultation in 2017! She’s phenomenal and I love the beauty parlour. Everyone is so friendly, the decor is great, & everyone is so knowledgeable! I drive 45 mins for my apps and I highly recommend!!

I could not have asked for a better experience. I was greeted by friendly, accommodating staff. My appointment was with Dean. Even prior to my appointment he called to do a brief consult as I was donating 10 inches of hair and then wanting the underneath layer of my hair dyed bright blue for a fundraiser I am participating in. I was quite nervous but once I got there I immediately felt relaxed. The cute vintage decorations create such a comforting environment. I left the salon with a foot less of hair, and a hell of a lot more confidence. The best hair cut/colour/styling experience I have ever had. Hands down.

I began seeing Kat just over 2 years ago at the Beauty Parlour to fix the colour I had from a previous stylist. In one appointment she was able to totally fix my colour, it was extremely impressive! I am a natural brunette and for the last 2 years Kat has kept me as a cool blond. She listens to what I want and tells me how it is, she is so knowledgeable about what is realistic and how to get you as close to your goal as possible. I also have fine, thin hair that is in great condition for being bleached thanks to her mindfulness and knowledge of hair health! I trust Kat 100% with my hair and coming to the salon is always an enjoyable experience! I usually follow up my colour with a cut from Alysha, she does great with my fine hair! The first time She cut it already my hair just looked thicker! The salon is bright and has a cool vintage vibe! All staff are welcoming and personable.

Celine is just the best. She has a fantastic personality, is friendly and open to doing many different hair styles from conservative to show stopping. I first came to her a couple years ago when I was ready to do a side head shave and extensions. She knocked it out of the park, and has been my hair stylist ever since. Recently she came to my wedding and did not only my hair and makeup, but the hair and makeup for the bridal party as well. Super professional, and worked hard to have us all done for the ceremony. Can’t say enough great things; you’ll just have to go see her! The Beauty Parlour is full of helpful and smiling staff. I always feel at ease and welcome every time I come here. I walked in for my appointment and was immediately greeted by friendly staff that walked me through their easy to follow and reasonable Covid procedures. The space is really open, clean, and comfortable. I had an amazing time with Dean, who made me feel super relaxed and comfortable while washing my hair. I could have fallen asleep (in a good way)! When it comes to the haircut I am beyond pleased. Dean really listened to what I wanted and he did better than I had imagined! I would highly recommend going to see him if you have curly hair, this was my second appointment with him and he does great work. He also walked me through products he was using and some styling tips, but I didn't feel pressured to buy anything extra or change my normal hair care routine. The staff gave me lots of genuine compliments on my hair when I was done and I felt very pampered and confident when I left. Can't wait to go back the next time I need a haircut!

I'm so absolutley thrilled! D was a consummate professional and gave me the best hair consult I've ever had. This isn't a$35.00 haircut kind of place but it's well worth paying extra to look amazing!! They have a beautiful location, the staff is crazy friendly and D is a mastermind, he gave me the look I've been wanting and was a pleasure to interact with! Seriously go here!! Yes you'll spend a little more but it's really well worth it! And this is coming from a bargain hunter. They have without a doubt gained a lifetime customer.

I’ve always had a great experience at The Beauty Parlour. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, even with COVID protocols in place. Everything is sanitized before/after use and masks are provided. I've had severe anxiety about getting my hair cut for over 6 years after a disastrous experience when I was about 15. I was very nervous coming here even after all of my researching but Dean was so kind and understanding that I felt so calm during my appointment! He talked me through everything that he was going to do beforehand, LISTENED to me (which sadly no stylist I've seen ever has), and made sure I knew what he was doing throughout the whole cut. It was such a wonderful experience - Dean really knows his stuff about curly hair! My hair feels and looks fantastic (I haven't gotten it cut for 2 years) and not once did I ever feel like I wasn't in control of what was being done to my hair. 10/10 I will absolutely be back again!

Came in for a simple layer and left with a mullet.. when the stylist went to make the first cut I told her it was way too much but she “didn’t hear me” and did it anyways. Left with heat damage and crispy ends. Called Saturday and was told no one could help me and to call back on Tuesday.. they offered to cut more off and put me on hold for 10 minutes before the line “disconnected” and then my phone calls wouldn’t go through after that, so when I showed up to the salon in tears it took 2 people to offer me a refund on the cut but couldn’t do anything to help me fix my hair which now needs extensions just to look even worse than it did before it was cut. I tried to resolve the issue in person but it was unsuccessful..

Can't rave about this place enough. The staff are super friendly and very welcoming. No one is pretentious like other salons I have been to in the city. Kat was my colourist and she was great! Understood everything I wanted to get done and was super sweet. The location is great, the ambiance is superb and it's very clean.

I've never had a salon give me outstanding haircuts consistently in my life. The Beauty Parlour treats their clients with care every time. Upon arrival, they take your coat, make you a latte and invite you to browse the Kevin Murphy or Aveda products. Then the stylist invites you in and discusses what you'd like done that day. They have new height adjustable sinks for washing your hair which is a nice touch. The atmosphere is warm and trendy decor. I have never been disappointed with the haircuts and highlights I've had done. I will never go anywhere else!

I had such a great experience here! I first went to get my hair coloured a blue-green for the first time and got it melted into my natural roots! I seriously loved how it turned out and it lasts so long :) I then went for a second appointment for just a cut and also loved it!! The stylist I had both times was Celine and she was super awesome and gave really good tips without being pushy or anything! It is such a friendly environment there and the receptionists are really nice! I definitely found my new hairdresser and I highly recommend Celine to anyone thinking of going here! :D

I visited The Beauty Parlour for the first time last week. What a cool place. Vintage chic interior gives the place a very cool vibe. The very friendly staff take your coat and offer tea/ coffee/ water while you wait. They have a fully stocked product wall and the staff will make recommendations specific to the goal you are trying to achieve. I will definitely be back! I saw Desiree and as a curly girl herself, she was able to offer me great advice on my curl type and gave me an updated style that I am loving so far!

Beautiful place! The atmosphere is really nice and it is a very interesting, pretty place to look at while your waiting. (bonus: there is lattes, tea and other beverages!) I have wanted to cut my hair short for several years but never had the courage to get it cut, I was always worried it would be done poorly or would look bad. Sarah was the one who cut my hair and I highly recommend her! Lovely person and great at what she does. It was a thoroughly fun and fantastic appointment. Price is also very good for what you get! Ladies at the front were quick to act and friendly! First time curly cut client at the salon and with Gabby! She is kind and down-to-earth to match her cool curls! She seemed a little nervous and forgetful, but caught herself quick with positive energy! She dry cut/cleaned up my ends at each curl and I loved that she did that with detail and precision! (Curly hair should always be cut dry - it's the right way!) Thoroughly impressed, so I prebooked with her for my next 3 month trim! Looking forward to awesome experiences with them in the future!

The Beauty Parlour is more than just a salon, it is an experience. If you are not convinced yet, I still have so many positives to share. Trust me, I spent more than a couple hours there getting a hair cut and colour and not one moment of it did I feel out of place, judged, or worrying if my hair was going to turn out good. I first met with Gabby for a haircut, followed by a consultation and colour with Kat. Both intelligent, confident, kind, and beautiful ladies. Their knowledge and confidence in their field of work was enough for me to trust them completely. They listened and understood what I wanted but also added their own suggestions and professional opinion. Gabby and Kat thoroughly explained what they were going to do with my hair and why, what would work and what wouldn't. I had complete confidence in them and they both nailed it.
