I know most of Red Stag's clients are men but they are amazing with kids too. Tiffany gave my daughter her first haircut and we have been loyal ever since. My daughter is a wiggly worm and doesn't sit still for very long but Tiffany has always been patient, kind and really fun. My daughter loves her and is always excited to go for her appointments. This is a great little barbershop. The atmosphere in there feels great. The owner is often around and is a very down to earth and friendly guy. The barbers are all really awesome and friendly. I was never a fan of going to the cookie cutter franchises in the mall, it always felt very impersonal. Red Stag is a much better experience, in my opinion anyways :) Also, you can get craft beer down there now too!

Today was my second time at Red Stag and the experience did not disappoint! Tiffany transformed my puffy ratty mess into a hairdo made to impress. Im super happy with it and my wife insists that i go here everytime. We had lots of good laughs and i got all the feels that come with an exceptional cut. I've been going to Red Stag Barbershop for some time now, close to a year, and this has been far the best consistent cuts I've had in my 17 years in Red Deer. I get my cuts from Tiffany but when she's unavailable I book with Courtney who cuts very similar to Tiff. The atmosphere in Red Stag is very chill and enjoyable. My spouse also takes our teenage boys here and they love the cuts as well. Check them out...you won't be disappointed!

Really nice atmosphere, they’re always spinning some vinyl and super nice people. Unfortunately the dog, Merle the Saint Bernard, is at obedience school learning not to run out of the shop and greet every dog he sees. There was one inconvenience that set back their whole day and made us wait an hour, but they gave me 10% off with an apology, from the sounds of it they won’t let it happen again and as they are new they are still working out some kinks in the system. Would definitely go back as it was still the best haircut I’ve ever had!

I plan to get my haircut here until I go bald due to old age, or who knows, I will probably get a hair transplant to get my haircut at the Red Stag from Benji!

I go to Tiff for bald head shaves and a better beard trim. She’s the best barber in Alberta. No question! Always fun, happy and willing to listen. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Red Stag carries top of the line beard products. Make sure to pick up some of their Better Beard Co., beard oils and Grave Before Shave, beard shampoo and conditioner. You won’t be disappointed. I’d also recommend using their booking app reserva to make sure you get in and have enough time for everything you need to get done as they are usually flat out all the time.

Walking in you can tell this place is one of a kind treasure for Red Deer, the staff are all incredibly personable and you'll leave satisfied and wanting to come back right away. First visit here , and was pretty furious by the time I left. While my kids and I were waiting for their turn, the staff were talking about getting drunk, being hungover and then throwing up. A few minutes later they were making cocaine references. All within earshot of my kids. Not a family friendly environment, nor very professional of the barbers. Wont be back

Full disclosure: the shop has an enormous St. Bernard dog named Merle which automatically earns them a five-star review from me. Dogs aside, this is a fantastic new barbershop. It's a super welcoming and comfortable place with retro wall art and antique barber chairs. I was particularly impressed by the fact that the shop uses and sells locally-made hair and beard products! I had my hair cut by Nicole, and she did an amazing job; she really takes the time to figure out what you want to do with your hair and makes it happen. The only thing even close to a complaint that I have is that this was easily the longest haircut I've ever had, but with Nicole's attention to detail it was absolutely worth it.

Went in to Red Stag today for the first time. Benji cut my hair and cut and styled my beard. It was like watching an artist create a masterpiece. He gave me tips on how to trim my moustache in between visits and how to keep my beard looking better and how to keep the hair healthy. The atmosphere at Red Stag was awesome. Great conversation and the absolute best barber experiance I've ever had. Would reommend Red Stag to everyone and Benji as a barber. Can't wait to go back for another visit.

The trim my daughter got was good, however the price of $43 was excessive, I understand the services you supply can be specialized, but I would have expected a trim to cost far less than that amount or for her to be advised ahead of the cut the cost or you could have sent her up the road for a trim for half that price and I would have applauded your honesty.

Great experience with a beard trim. Benji was professional and honest with advice, didn't try to sell unnecessary products. Atmosphere and front staff were great as well. As a person that is taking covid measures seriously the staff were wearing masks and building wasn't crowded. Will definitely suggest this place.

As soon as you come up to the Barber Shop the fun begins ! There are 2 doors of which to enter and you never know which one will give you access. That sets the pace as you walk in for a good laugh by the Red Stag crew . Instantly you feel welcome with bubbly , happy faces beaming with enthusiasm all around you . Nicole makes a point of acknowledging every customer who walks in as if it were her first . Sure to be a uplifting experience :)

I literally haven't had the need to walk into a barber shop in twenty years. Recently I started growing out my beard (for the first time) and felt I needed a bit of touch up work and help with it prior to an international conference. I was suggested to go here by a co-worker. I met with Benji and he did an amazing job and made the visit comfortable. I will definitely be going back to Red Stag for touch-ups and even for the candour. Great job!

I was referred to Nicole, she ended up being a little longer than expected with her client, so they asked me if I wouldn't mind Yvette. After some hesitation, I obliged. 0 regrets. I actually called my wife excited about finding someone to cut my beard. She was educational and instructed me on what I should be doing at home with my beard. How to trim it, why I should use certain products, why she was cutting it a certain way, how to style it, and even told me what to expect with my type of facial hair. She get's it too, as corny as it sounds, emphasizing on building a relationship. After getting my hair and beard cut once a month for almost 4 years, I stopped trying to grow out my beard after it being butchered countless times, and I decided to just start clean shaving my head (getting pretty bald anyway) to save myself the hassle. Now that my noggin is shaved, I decided to compensate with the beard, but was stuck on who to trust with my face forest. That problem is now solved. I am very pleased with the level of service, and look forward to being a regular patron.

The services at this barber shop are definitely an upgrade from Tommy Guns. At this shop, the barbers put more effort into focusing on the details when cutting the head hair and the beard hair. This shop fills the niche barber market in Red Deer, where they actually offer legit beard services. Tommy Guns beard services are weak in comparision. You really have to know what you are doing to be good at trimming beards. I have a yeard (years worth of beard growth) and I am cautious about letting others cut it. In fact, I would consider my beard to be one of my hobbies. My beard trim experience went well. I particularly enjoyed the straight razor on the back and sides of the neck. I also enjoyed the hot towel. I got a fade and I was happy with it. Finally a contemporary and trendy barber shop in Red Deer.

The setting is in a historical building downtown, spinning records all day (they even encourage you to bring some of your own favourites for your wait or during your service), with a friendly and hilarious staff. Open 7 days a week to be sure to accommodate even the busiest schedules! I see Nicole, as her attention to detail has always made me feel like I’m being well-kept and not rushed through as ‘just another job’. That being said every woman that cuts hair here provides a level of service far beyond anywhere else in Red Deer.
