I took the Laser Practitioner program and I was very impressed with the knowledge of the instructor. I felt the length of the program was reasonable, and the information presented was useful. The ongoing support and assistance available after class is greatly appreciated as well, and i think is something that set IAE apart from other laser programs. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to get certified in the industry for the most reasonable price i could find and a solid training program.

From the point when I made the appointment and they agreed to stay later in order to accommodate my work schedule to Sammi (my student practitioner) chasing after me when I left my watch in the treatment room, I had a fantastic experience at the International Academy of Esthetics. Everyone was utterly professional, Katie (the instuctor) and Sammi were excellent as they took care of me, and I walked out looking and feeling much better than when I walked in. I appreciated the care and concern Katie and Sammi demonstrated towards me - especially after I expressed fear at the inevitable pain - and their willingness to let me listen to music to keep my mind off of the pain. I will definitely be making another appointment.

I have always wanted to changed my career being working as a community disability worker for the past seven (7) years. I discussed this with my husband, and he told me that I should go after my dreams and that I should go after what I love doing best. I have always knew that I have passion for the beauty industry I did a lot of research in been sure of the best school in the city of Edmonton. Enrolling at the international academy of Esthetics in Sherwood Park was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I graduated in August of 2016 with a DIPLOMA and got hired that same month; even after I got hired, I still had employers calling and emailing me back to back for employment. Am dreaming of going back next year to enroll again and become a highly professional LASER TECHNICIAN. Am so proud of IAE and will recommend anyone who wants a better career/profession in this cosmetology era. Thanks IAE, you are the BEST~

IAE is hands down the best school for esthetics training. The small class sizes are key to an intimate environment with personalized learning. I was employed by a spa before I even graduated and have been thriving here ever since. I recently, after researching many local schools, had Fari come out to my business to give a refresher course to our laser technicians. She honestly exceeded all of my expectations.She was incredibly knowledgable, came very prepared and answered all questions in a clear and informative manner. My technicians felt that they received valuable information and felt far more comfortable in their position. I honestly cannot fault Fari or her husband who came out with her the day prior. They are both kind people who are obviously highly educated and skilled.I appreciated their advice and took it all on board. As a recent student, I'd like to share my honest experience. My time at IAE was both exhausting and frustrating. While they teach a wide array of treatments and skills in their diploma program (which is my only reason for giving 2 stars and not 1), their execution of the curriculum needs some serious work. Myself as well as my fellow students felt the staff was rarely on the same page, and this negatively impacted the confidence in ourselves to carry out treatments; an example of this being that we would often be taught something only to have another 'instructor' come in the next day or week and tell us something completely different. Their guidance was lackadaisical and expectations of students was, in short, confusing and, at times, absurd. I would also add that I never felt I could be honest with the staff in fear that I would be either ignored or treated poorly if I communicated my genuine feelings and concerns regarding my education with them. I did not feel that my education was of high quality, nor did I feel confident in the instructors abilities. In fact, one of the instructors straight up quit during my 6 months there. I sincerely hope they have better instruction and practices going forward, and advise prospective students to take a good look around before applying. Be prepared to conduct your own education at this school.

Class sizes are small, so you really get one on one learning experiences that are tailored to how you retain information. Would fully recommend this school to anyone wanting to prosper in Esthetics.

My 6 week weekend Laser Technician course was well worth it. I feel that I have developed a solid foundation upon which I can pursue a career in laser in a variety of different directions. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and created a positive learning environment. The practical component followed parallel with the theoretical learning which helped to absorb new material. I appreciated that I was able to obtain my internationally recognized diploma in only 6 months and especially liked the smaller class sizes that gave me a lot of one on one time with the teachers. Such a great experience with Kaley. Had a facial with her and she was very informative and gentle. Only suggestion would be for the student facials there should be a quiet relaxing space away from other students. There was people beside me doing a pedicure and were chatting while I was getting my facial so it was a little hard to relax. Nonetheless an excellent facial and my skin felt amazing and hydrated after. I will be back :)

"It has been a great experience. I have learned a lot of interesting things related with beauty concerns and exceptionally the laser treatment has been explained very carefully. I feel that I had gained the necessary practical knowledge to be a good laser practitioner. The course objectives were clear and the amount of reading that was asked to enforce our knowledge was appropriate. Worst school by far!! All ran by East Indians! I do not recommend the school to anybody there laser course sucks you only get to work on the one black girl so there's no other skin types there's lots of other schools out there that are far better better priced and have better equipment , do not sign any contracts or documentation they give you because they will withhold your money they make you feel like you have to give them a deposit to hold the spot but then they take your money it's a pretty good scam they have going on I booked in for September in June try to get my money back first of July which is two months away from the course date and they will not refund anything, Do your research before booking into the school !!!!! ✌????️

Why choosing International Academy of Aesthetics? My experiences with International Academy of Esthetics (IAE) started as a client, and later became a student. My mother and I book a facial at International Academy of Esthetics. We were impress with the quality and the knowledge of the students. The instructors are guiding and ensuring that the treatment we are getting is exceptional. We had a fantastic experience and results. mention the quality of the products line that they are using, Nu Oxygen. Fari, the owner herself, a chemist created that line. I always has been interested in anti-aging, skin treatment and so on, so I join the school and did the facial program as a part-time student. I am a married mom of 2 and working full time shift work. Fari and Madhi (the owners) worked with me with my busy schedule. We had multiples interesting projects, a case study and so on. It was FUN! and wanted to expend my knowledge and scope of practice. I then join the waxing and threading class, the microdermabrasion class, the chemical peel class, and the ultimate, the Laser class! I now have the tools and support to start my own business! I made good friends and keep visiting the school. So, Fari (the owner) and her Team want you to Succeed! as an aesthetician and a business owner. The quality of her products, students work with NuOxygen is top of the line. "Which you can use as much as you need." The experiences and knowledges of the team. Attention to details. It's a FUN class. Top of the line equipment. Graduation party and Potluck! Fari is an amazing Chef as well!

The instructors are amazing, they prepare you really well for the industry, very helpful and inspiring! I really liked the layout of the courses as it teaches you necessary information and skills, with time to practice and prefect the skills needed for the industry. I've recently enrolled into the esthetics and laser program here, feeling super nervous. The teachers here are AMAZING. They guide you through all the concepts thoroughly and you never feel shy about asking questions. They make you feel super comfortable here, which helps you grow and learn to your fullest potential! The class sizes are small which makes it easier to ask questions and have more one on one time with the teachers. You're even able to message them outside of school if any questions arise and they always get back to you! My experience here was honestly the best, and I could not have asked for better teachers!!

I was a student at international academy of aesthetics in the laser practitioner program. The program was very in depth and informative. As well it was very hands on which I found helped a lot with my learning experience a lot. The class sizes are very small so you get a lot of one on one time with the teacher, so I was able to graduate with full confidence. I was also given the opportunity to take the ITECH exam so i am now internationally qualified to work anywhere in the world. Going to this school has given me the chance for many opportunities in this growing field of occupation. Sure, it was frustrating and tough at times but that's what makes it all worth it when you graduate with the exceptional skills I know that I have. I just graduated from the full Esthetics program yesterday and I am SO happy that i chose this school!! The teachers are all amazing and they make sure you are comfortable and are learning everything properly! They care so much and you feel like everyone there is like a family! Fari the owner has a background in chemistry aswell as being an esthetician which I think is a great asset! I trust her completely with any skin care questions! My own skin has improved by 80% just in the 6 months ive been here. They have small classes which makes it easy for them to help you with whatever you need. I also thought it was great that you make tips during the time you do services on clients since I was not working during school. It helped alot! I will forever remember my experience here :)

The instructors were very personable and never passed on an opportunity to ensure that their students had the best understanding of the information. Everyone employed with IAE is devoted to having feedback on ways that the school can improve for present and future classes. The relationship you develop with the instructors doesn't end once you've graduated. After emailing the school, I was set up with an interview with my current employer with the help of Fari. I've also found that their tuition is one of the most reasonable in the Edmonton area and is worth every dollar. I will always recommend IAE to anyone who expresses interest in working in the aesthetic industry.

Amazing school. I took the laser tech program there and I loved it there. The environment there is so welcoming and comfortable. My teachers Britney and Robin were so amazing and definitely made class better, they both were always accessible to talk to no matter the time of day to answer questions and help and made class a stress free environment and always amazing to talk to and by far the best teachers I’ve had. And the main person of IAE Cynthia is always so welcoming and sweet and always strives for every person taking the courses to succeed. I really enjoyed my time at IAE. The class sizes are on the smaller side which is perfect for my learning type. I was able to ask any questions I needed without feeling singled out or rushed. MOST amazing people at IAE, I graduated from the Laser Practitioner program August 4th 2015 and I am amazed at how easy Fari's explanations of the text book made it for me to learn. It has been a lot of years since I have been in school having to study and do home work. So when I decided to change my career and go into business for myself it was imperative for me to choose the right school to train with. I ABSOLUTELY chose the right place. What I didn't realize was how much like family everyone is at IAE. Fari has 40+ years of experience and a degree in Chemistry which she is eager to share her knowledge and experience with her students because she is so invested in our success. Fari's experience and training gives her the ability to take something very complicated and make it easy to understand. The small class sizes makes it possible for a lot of one on one teaching and a lot of practice. Another thing I appreciate being from out of town is you don't have to hunt down models for your exams. I want to extend a warm Thank You to everyone at the International Academy of Esthetics for making this journey a lot less scary.
