I also just had an epic experience with a boxy uneven cut. I was a return client to the same hairdresser and hoped we could tweak some issues I had from last time and to work with her but, I guess not. It's worse this time. I will also be going to one stop to get this fixed. Cheap is expensive but than again I've gone to high end salons and had a bad experience. People please listen to customer and take pride in workmanship, we put food on your table.

I will not go to any other place! I met Keely 2 years ago she has been an absolute treat! My first experience was a MAJOR hair color correction and she did such a beautiful job. It was right befor my wedding and I was freaking out because no other salon would touch my hair. Keely had NO problems correcting it. Ever since I've been going to this salon. She has done everything from tape in extensions, color corrections, cutes, full head highlights and each time I walk out of there feeling confident in myself. ☆☆☆☆☆ for this place for sure! Hands down

Wife went with daughter today. They did a nice job but charged $275 which is more than I have ever paid in any salon for any of my girls! We are from UK and have had hair done in major boutiques and never paid anything like this. I don't mind paying for quality, but the hair cut and colour while good was not $300 worth (with tip). At no point did they mention to my wife that our 13yr old hair cut and color was going to be this much, my wife even declined a $40 sealant that they tried to sell to them early on. Normally we don't post negative reviews, my wife asked to speak to the manager afterward she patiently waited all day for the promised 'call' to ever receive it. Sadly we won't be back myself my two sons cam here regularly before because it was quick and good value. 4 hours and $300 for an average cut and colour is outrageous, and the customer service....non e instant.

I moved to the Midland area 3 years ago and tried a salon in Orillia. I was very dissatisfied for a variety of reasons. My boyfriend and I were up on Hwy. 93 and noticed Head's Up and pulled in. I was matched up with Keely and we instantly clicked. She is so right on with colour, with hair texture and style. I've never gone anywhere else and neither has my boyfriend. Now that she is the owner of the business, the shop has only improved. Keely is an amazing talent, a great personality and runs a wonderful business!

New to Jasper I searched on Google for “haircuts Jasper.” After calling a couple other salons in town for price comparison, I was quoted as high as $40 for a men’s haircut. Are you kidding? I know this is Jasper but really? Talk about gouging. I was pleasantly surprised when calling Heads up. Not only was the courteous gentleman on the phone polite, he also quickly booked my appointment efficiently and quoted me $25 for the cut. Now this was more what I have seen elsewhere and was reasonable. The shop was clean and professional, tucked away upstairs in the Fiddle River building on Connaught Drive. There is also a great view of the street below and mountains. Sabrina cut my hair with professional skill while pleasantly conversing about Jasper. She did a wonderful job cutting my hair exactly the way I expected. This shop deserves more exposure and ratings. The shop is a real gem.As a reviewer, I would have given 5+ Stars ⭐️ if I could have.. Great place and great location. Thanks again Sabrina! See you my next appointment.

I'm going to start this by saying I've never been a person to write a bad review or go out of my way to complain when I've got bad service. I've always just let things go and gave people the benefit of the doubt but my experience with this business was so absolutely outrageous I cannot let this go. I booked my hair and makeup for my wedding at this salon this last Saturday and the experience single handedly nearly ruined my wedding day. It started with the fact that, who I understand to be the owner (Candace), only booked herself to do hair for my entire wedding party of 6 even though I booked this appointment in January, which means she had 9 months to find other hairdressers to work with her to do our hair yet she chose not to. She spent a total of 20 minutes doing my hair as a bride and it nearly brought me to tears sitting in the salon chair. She did all of our hair in hot rollers, 2 of my bridesmaids hairs were straight within the hour, I was left with a frizzy bubble on Top Of my head when I had asked for a simple elegant pulled back up do. I had many pictures and she spent 20 minutes on my hair and there was absolutely no way what she had done looked anything close to the pictures. I asked her multiple times to fix it and told her it was not right, she rolled her eyes and "huffed" at me and her makeup girl told my sister "wow your sister really is picky hey". It was visible I was upset. I paid and left before the other girls were even finished because I knew it needed to be fixed and I was running out of time before the wedding. When my cousin saw my mother they told her that her hair looked like a witch. We all came out looking horrendous and the makeup was no better. Thankfully I had a friend at the wedding who is a hairdresser who I called immediately and she met me in my room to redo my hair. The look on her face when she saw me was absolute horror and she asked me to shake my head back and forth and in 2 shakes I had Had 5 curls fall out of my updo. My friend fixed all of our hair thank god but it was so close to ruining our day. I also had a friend who does makeup who came and redid all the girls makeup as they spent a total of 9 minutes doing makeup for each girl and charged me $50 each. A complete waste. When talking to other salons they told me they book 2 hours for a brides hair & 1.5 hours for bridesmaids. Not 20 minutes a person. Whats worse is that this owner is in complete denial and has refused to make things right with our request for a partial refund as we spent almost $700 for us to have to redo their disaster they caused. I truly wish i had taken photos of the hair they gave us as I know words do not do it justice. I strongly urge that if you have any special event that your hair is important to you, to stay clear of this place. They knew I was extremely unhappy and they deny it and still feel they did a great job. They have no accountability to the fact that they rushed Through all our hair so she wouldnt have to pay another hair dresser to do a good job like they should. The hair she gave us look nothing like the photos on her facebook page. The owner claims she's won many awards and can work as well as 3 people, she's very cocky and did an embarrassing job. If my hairdresser friend wasn't there then my wedding would have been ruined. I cannot state this enough, stay clear of this place. I honestly would not send my worst enemy here.

In this salon, I receive Keely's full attention, I get an education on what colour works for my hair and how to maintain it, and the results, cut and style, are always exactly what I want. unfortunately i decided to get my hair cut and treat myself at Heads up the other day, getting the owner i thought i would be able to get an awesome cut as she does OWN the busines but i was WRONG. It was hands down the WORST haircut i have ever recieved. i dont normally post on these reviews as i believe everyone has an off day, however after talking to quite a few other stylist and clients who have worked with or gotten their hair done ive come to the conclusion she is just an awful stylist. i would literally recomend you cutting your hair yourself than go to this establishment.

My son has an Afro which I made clear when I booked the appointment when we got there the 'top' stylist snipped a bit off and when finished told us she could have washed it and combed it but that would have taken forever and a ton of conditioner. Reluctantly, I am posting this review. I don’t often post negative reviews, as I understand that we all have a bad day. Upon speaking with the owner's former colleagues, family, friends & friends who are Salon Owners/Colour Specialists/Senior Stylists I have opted to post "my" experience. I have had the same colours done for nearly a decade. Not only was I told that my colours are outdated (alot of Moms had that style, years ago) but the stylist told me that (quote) "The worst stylists you can go to, are stylists over 40. They don’t upgrade their skills & their styles are outdated." (I'm a woman over 40, BTW.) I went in to meet the stylist (owner) as she came recommended by a mutual friend. We agreed on a set price, plus taxes & I made an appointment for 2:30pm a few days later. She was 55 minutes late for said appt, & I was unable to pick up my husband from work. Not so much as an apology & she later blamed me for the appt running so late?? "I" was on time. I know my hair takes 3-3.5hrs. I didn't get out, until 6:15pm. From the moment I sat in her chair, I found her to be hostile & argumentative. Insulting my shampoo/conditioner, the advice i was given to pick, not "brush" my hair, my friends who are salon owners/senior stylists/colour specialists. It didn’t matter what I said, she argued & interrupted to the point where I just stopped talking altogether. While she IS the professional, insulting my friends who have done my hair for years--was unnecessary/unprofessional. They don't do my hair now, because I moved 4hrs away. I assure you, they are professionals who have been in business for 20++ years & CONSISTENTLY upgrade their skills. I IMPLORED her to please be careful that the red didn’t bleed into the beautiful blonde chunks I had done & assured her that I understood that it does happen from time to time. Having had this hair style/colours for years, I can think of only twice that it happened. Every, single one of my blonde chunks--was pink. I was devastated; her answer was, "Dont freak out?! It'll wash out in two washes!" I knew that this was not true. Its 1mth later. All of my blonde chunks, are still pink with a few that are orange half way down. She asked me if I wanted my hair blown dry--& of course I said, "Yes." I have never been asked if I wanted my soaking wet hair, blown dry..?? She trimmed off about a cm off the bottom, blew it dry & straightened it. This took about 10-15 minutes total. Between the blow drying & straightening of my hair, she was so rough, my scalp felt bruised for the following couple of days. There was so much product burned to the flat iron, my hair was sticking to it & being pulled out by the root. I had to ask her to please be careful, as it was hurting me. When I got to the counter, she charged me FORTY dollars more than we agreed on & claimed that she gave me a blow-dry, cut & style. That was why it was $40 more. I was stunned, as I have NEVER paid on top of an agreed upon price, to have my hair blown dry, a tiny trim & straightening my hair. Other Stylists agreed. It shouldn't have been extra. While she was waiting for my colour to set, she cut, blow dried & styled a gentleman’s hair and charged him half of what she charged me. This took 35 minutes. I have my hair done twice a year, as I don't have a lot of extra “me" time. It's “my" time to feel pampered. I have never wanted to get out of a hair salon so badly, in my life. I absolutely hated my experience. **Edit** I will not dignify a response, except to say: 1) it was NOT a quote 2)I told NO one, including you--that I was "ecstatic" about my hair. 3) I told you the most current stylist didn't do a great job on my hair. That was it. That I adored her as a person. 4) It's been 30 days, not 6 weeks 5) We don't have any friends in common, save for the 1 who referred me. I haven't seen or spoken to her about my hair. 6) I expected you to take zero responsibility, just as you did in the rest of your responses. Your entire post was dishonest. Good luck in the future. Honesty will get you much further.

Growing hair out so all i wanted was around my ears and the nape of my neck tidied. It was done as expected. What wasn't expected was that it was considered a full haircut. No wash. No styling product and that tiny bit done? $25.99. And I have a customer loyalty card. And this was decided by the owner not the girl who cut cm's off. Sorry I couldn't afford to tip.
