I'm from Vancouver and was in Edmonton for almost two months and definitely needed a good barber. I was blown away by Abe at Golden Scizzors! He was a pleasure to talk to and his work is exceptional! His fade is very good, his cut is very detailed and clean. He trimmed and cleaned up my beard and everything came out perfect. My cut included a wash, which was really lovely. He is definitely skilled and worth driving to.

I was disappointed when I went and got my haircut today as I have been going to Golden Scizzors for years and have never had a problem. However today, in light of everything that has been going on with Covid-19 and the safety protocols, the person cutting my hair did a poor job of executing these protocols. Halfway through my haircut he gave me a mask to wear before blow drying my hair and then took it upon himself to pull it down so that my nose was exposed, completely defeating the purpose. Afterwards he took the mask and just threw it on another chair. In addition, he brought up the current very serious and very sensitive issues of racism and the events unfolding around the world. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the riots, etc. He is of course entitled to his own opinion, but I felt very uncomfortable and vulnerable as he was cutting my hair; as I take these issues very seriously and am in support of everything going on around the world regarding this matter. Disappointed in the lack of professionalism.

I go in there to get a haircut super disappointing. She did not wash my hair before cutting it, nor she asked which side I rest my hair on. she was talking in her native language with another costumer and barber. And she expects a tip which she blamed the computer for not giving me my change so I left. Never going here again. Very unprofessional
