My husband has been growing his hair for 3 years with the goal of donating it. We chose the Fringe originally because they are partners with Angel Hair for Kids which was awesome. Kelsey and Joanne made my husband feel super comfortable with this huge change and took their time with the donation cut and styling his new hair after the donation. A relaxed but very professional atmosphere. We will for sure go back!

Went in hoping to have a haircut so that I can style my naturally curly hair one in while but still have the flexibility to wear it straight as well. Chelsie nailed it. Super attentive and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to those curls! Will definitely be back.

Last week I decided to treat myself to a haircut on my week off. Luckily this cute little place is a hop, skip and a jump from my new digs and so I decided to give it a go. I was asked if I wanted some water upon arrival (which was great, I was parched) and put into a robe. Maria then assessed/talked to me about what I was looking for as far as style, etc. She was great! Really listened and understood that Im not a high maintenance gal and didnt want anything too short/too hair to do myself. I hadnt had a cut in what seemed like a couple years, and she didnt make me feel like a slob (which I felt like). She worked her magic and I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks. Worth every penny, and will definitely be returning. Thank you ladies!!

In Feb 2020 I stopped in for a simple trim. I was a walk-in off the street and I had never been to the salon before. My hair dresser was really rude to me. First off, she was very disparaging when I told her I had been trimming my own hair for several years as a student. Once she got to cutting, she very begudgingly admitted I hadn't been doing a terrible job. During the appointment we chatted. I told her I had recently moved to Calgary from Montreal. We were discussing hair styles and I mentioned that long hair was very in style out East. She said, "Ya, well the girls need something to swing around the poles out there." ... As if long hair is only an appropriate style for strippers. Frankly, I was shocked into silence and when I met her eyes in the mirror she snorted and laughed at me. I have long hair. I took it as a direct jab at me. I'm not entirely sure what I did to offend this woman, but I'm not a long-haired stripper, I'm a doctor. And I have plenty of long-haired female friends, none of whom are strippers. I didn't chat with the hair dresser after that, and she didn't apologize for the offense. At the end of the appointment I did ask about dry shampoos. She said I could go look at the product they had... Didn't give me any suggestions or help. When I went to pay, it was somehow $100+ , even though the dry shampoo I had picked was $25 and the sign out front advertised $60 walk-in hair cuts. I asked about maintenance and having a follow-up trim in 8-12 weeks, and the same woman didn't offer to book me an appointment. To top it off, she was a smoker and she took a smoke break while the conditioner was in my hair. When she came back, her hands and clothing stank of cigarettes. After the trim, my hair stank of cigarettes until I showered.

Recently, I booked an appointment with Richard for the first time and it was a fun and relaxing experience. Richard really knew what my hair needed and I left the salon with an amazing look and feel. Had an awesome experience...went there to donate my hair for wigs for kids with cancer and they even take care of shipping it to the organization in Ontario so that's great. My stylist was actually sick and they asked if I want to postpone..but I said no I want it done today due to some commitments and they were willing...had another stylist do my hair and it was great...vry friendly and great service...kid friendly cz I had my toddler with me. Loved the whole thing! Would go again for sure!! Thank you Rachael.

I've been going to this salon for about 3 years now. Got a free cut when I donated my hair to cancer and ever since that I kept coming back. They have great customer service and trust me what you pay for is what you get. I go to Jen Ayotte for my cuts and she always gets a mans hair right. Remember communication is key, so let them know what you want. Oh and one last thing their head massages are a cure to hangovers!

I had went here once before and had a great experience with Amanda K. They are very expensive, so I had went somewhere else after that. I decided to go back there as the first time was an awesome experience. I rebooked with Amanda as I was happy previously. I wanted to get a color and have my ombre toned out. She applied the color and then sent me to their 'lounge' to wait. I sat waiting, and looked over at my timer eventually and realized it wasn't working. I told one of the girls walking by and she went and got Amanda. Amanda came up to me and said 'well I guess you are done'. She then applied toner etc. She then blow dried my hair, but that's where it ended. Didn't straighten, didn't curl..so I basically left with unstyled hair. One week later my hair completely faded out to what I went in with, despite only using salon quality color safe shampoo, and washing only every 2-3 days. I have never called back to a salon with complaints about my hair, but decided since it has cost me $160 and it looked the same as a week before that I would in this case. I spoke to the manager and she offered to have me come back in. The soonest they could get me in was 2 weeks after my initial appointment. Again with Amanda K. I just cancelled this appointment as I really don't feel comfortable going back to someone who knows I complained. So what it works out to is $160 down the drain.

Richard was attentive, professional,and detailed giving me assurance that our expectations were aligned from the first snip to the last spritz of finishing spray. I appreciated Richard's creative input, sincerity and recommendations on best managing my locks all while customising my experience. A blend of warm welcomings and commitment to customers made it a pleasure to be a guest.

I was very disappointed with my cut and colour. I requested a senior hair stylist and none were available but they assured me that the junior stylists consult and I would be happy. The junior stylist was kind of tacky (and had greasy unkempt hair) but I went ahead with the colour anyway. I had requested a warm blonde and she put mahogany in the toner. My hair came out dark red/almost purple. I told her that I didn't like it and that I thought we were going blonde. She then did a shampoo cocktail and it came out pink. She let me pay and leave looking like that but by that point I just needed to get out of there as I had been there for 5 hours. I called later to tell the manager about my experience and she said I should have said something when I paid (in front of all of the other customers). She said she couldn't do anything about it and that all she could offer was a free blow-dry. I won't be blow-drying my super damaged hair anytime soon, won't be back.

I have been going to this salon over the years and would have given it a higher rating since I think most of the hairdressers are great and I love the head massage!! However, I have used a different stylist many times and not every time have I had a good hair cut. One time the girl cut one side shorter than the other. The last time I was there I asked whether the stylist had done perms and she assured me that she had and the perm lasted only several days and I was charged more than where I normally go for a perm. Do NOT go there for a perm! I think their prices are good but vary as to the stylist and I learned it is better to get the experienced stylist.

I went to this salon a couple times before and had great experiences, left both times very happy with my hair. My third visit unfortunately did not go very well. I requested their most senior colourist/stylist for some blonde highlights and a bob cut. The stylist made a huge mistake with my blonde highlights, and unbeknownst to me, she let me go home with horizontal blonde stripes all around the top of my head (apparently this is what happens when foils "slip") ... but she let me go home and I paid a full $250 for her service. Upon looking in my bathroom mirror I noticed these terrible lines and called the salon asking for a refund. They refused a refund and booked me with their next most senior stylist, the owner herself. When I went to my fix-it appointment, the owner asked me in person why I didn't want the first stylist to fix my hair... which I thought was quite inappropriate to ask a client (if a stylist ruins my hair I would prefer to not have the same stylist.. is that such an odd request?), anyways.. the owner then began to apply toner rather than redoing the highlights... and after she had put the toner on, low and behold the terrible horizontal lines were still noticeable. I told her the lines were still pretty bad and that was when she told me she was worried about damaging my hair and tried to book me in 4 weeks from now for a new set of highlights. Long story short, I will not be returning to this salon.
