I love this place, I think her name is Angelina, and transformed my boxed dyed hair that had 4 different Color’s and turned into this beautiful blonde balayage. Even though she did tell me that there’s no way my hair can go light and that it would take lots of sessions. Definitely worth the $300 and definitely coming back.

Do Not Book An Appointment Here!!!!! Especially with Marina! I booked an appointment with Marina who was the high tear stylist , they were already late 25 minutes with my appointment, but I waited patiently. The minute she grabbed me she was immediately rude; she didn’t introduce herself and wasn’t friendly. Feeling a hostile unkind energy from her, I thought I’d just ride it out because I was really excited about my hair . When we started talking about what I wanted i could already tell that she wasn’t willing to work with me at all, and that was before she knew fully what I wanted. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. After we chatted for a little her final choice was that she was unwilling to work with me because I wasn’t doing what she wanted even though she should be willing to work with me because it is my hair after all. I drove all the way for my appointment which I would’ve been paying 400 dollars for in tears. What a horrible experience, the level of rudeness and unprofessionalism was unacceptable. This is my last trip to Evelyn Charles unfortunately.

Honestly, Eveline Charles Academy is a great educational experience! I have so far been attending the Professional Esthetic program for six months and love my experience. I've learned so much in the modules I've been taught in. The teachers and staff are friendly and welcoming and they really give you the knowledge to succeed as an individual in a salon/spa environment! THAT BEING SAID; YOU are the one that has to put in the work, the time, the effort, the patience and the wanting ability to do your very best in order to succeed. If you do not show up, there will be consequences. Do I agree that you should pay the required amount for missing a day. No. I think its inadequate unless you get the teachers full attention for the whole day. But if you choose not to come that is your decision and you should have to deal with the consequences, if it's a valid reason, then surely you shouldn't be penalized. As for quotes for each unit, it should be based on the class size and clientele. Some are more excessive BUT the experience that gets you ready for the "real world" makes up for it. I just don't agree to having to finish all quotes in order to pass UNLESS you do not choose to participate or a teacher requires more hands on from you. As for the fashion show experience, not everyone is interested and that is okay. Personally I loved it. Yes it was stressful and I paid my own money to make my models the best I wanted them to look, BUT you do not need to pay anything out of pocket. They have extra clothing, classmates might have extra supplies you need and you can borrow. It's all how you view the project and what you want out of it. That being said, they did change dates a few times and some models couldn't take off work, so be cautious when picking models. Luckily, our models could take off those days. But, watching them walk down the runway was the highlight and made the experience that much better. All in all, if you give 100%, in return you will be successful. I really enjoy this program and think it's a great learning environment and you will be very knowledgeable on the modules you learn. I'm very happy I picked Eveline Charles Academy as the school I am attending and cannot wait what the future holds for me!

Not only did she give me what I wanted, she showed me how botched my front layers were from my last hair cut (not done at Eveline Charles) and proceeded to FIX IT so I wouldn't look like a clown anymore. 10/10 would recommend. The students are eager to learn and very knowledgeable and the teachers are caring and constantly checking up on the work of all of their students. The prices are incredible, but prepare to spend extra time here as it is a learning environment. I spent 4-1/2 hours getting a full head of foils on super long hair, toning and then a hair cut. At a regular salon I would have spent far over $300.00 and here I spent under $60. The students work for their grades, so be sure to leave a tip for them when they do a great job! Very happy and I will be going back.

Now I know most women like to pretend they don’t get Botox but hey who are we kidding. I went here in the last ten days, they had a sale and who doesn’t like a sale I’m super pleased with my results and had a great conversation with the lady who did my injections. She’s very knowledgeable and not one bit unapproachable If you’re looking for a new place to get Botox or have never tried it then go here. No pressure to spend more than you can afford

I never liked my hair cuts. My first year at UofA (1997-yeah, that long ago!) I found a hair dresser who cut my hair amazingly. Soon after I found her, she aid she was moving to work at Evelyn Charles. This was Southgate mall in Edmonton. So, I followed her there. After a year or so, she moved away. I was devastated. But EC told me all stylists go through same training and curs are consistent in current style, they keep your records and get to know you. They also have a spa I fell in love with. I don't cut my hair anywhere else. 2 years ago, I took my eldest (12 years old) for her first REAL haircut, by an experienced professional. She loved it. Cuts on pause for covid, when she could go back they revolutionaries her hair. And our last cut for first day of high school, amazing again. And this one she was joined by her 10 year old sister and did a phenomenal job. I have never had a bad experience, been treated less than professional or poorly in any way. The only salon open at present is west ed, and they have always been polite and patient for consulting styles, describing products and made my girls feel like princess.

I couldn't believe my luck when I landed here and realized she worked here! She is so highly skilled with years of experience and always stays up to date with current trends and training. Her creativity with color and styling is amazing and in addition to that she is just the loveliest person and will listen to what you want while giving her professional advice. I am a fussy blonde!! Danny was great! I got my first proper haircut after >year, so my expectations were very high. Two days later and the results of the blowout have not changed a bit! Not to mention that I not once had that awkward feeling of sitting in a hairdresser's chair, wondering whether the stylist knows what he is doing. Danny was very confident and from the beginning he understood my concern with my very thin and dry hair. He gave me many tips and was overall very nice. I was surprised a little bit by the friendliness of the staff, the efforts they put into making you feel welcome and the number of compliments they give away. Later I found out that it's just a part of the Canadian culture, especially in the service industry (where people often work hard to earn their tips). I guess it was a bit of a cultural difference, but fun to experience something new! Would definitely recommend EC at WEM!

My initial polish selection from the sample card that I was provided was not available, and I was not offered the paraffin wax treatment that I had initially booked (and I was not charged for it when I mentioned it at the desk). Not exactly what I would have expected paying top dollar at Evelyn Charles.

Whenever I go to the salon I always walk out unhappy because they never give me the look I was going for. I’ve been trying to achieve balayage for awhile but no salon seemed to get it right. Might be a good place for a haircut, but if you're looking to go to school here I highly discourage you from going here. 5 teachers left in the few months I was there, I've had salon owners tell me that they don't hire from our school, and they almost never have the colours you need to complete an exam. I'm currently enrolled in Mr.barber, and I felt like in the 3 weeks I've been here I have learnt more than I did in the 2 months I was learning cutting there. Choose wisely.

I’ve been going to Evelyn Charles since moving to Edmonton nearly seven years ago. I started with a blow out one day just to get a sense for the vibe of the place. Over the years, I’ve moved a lot and I knew I’d be sitting, on average, in a chair for 2-3 hours about 8 times per year and that’s just for my root touch ups. Yes, I’m high maintenance and I wanted a bird’s eye overview of the place. From my very first visit, the experience was professional and top notch. I have probably over the years had six different EC stylists do amazing blow outs for various occasions, but my two main girls are Christina and Michelle. Initially, Michelle kept my hair looking gorgeous and (coming from damp Ireland), she knew exactly what to do to keep frizz away. The girl has ninja skills! Her five round brush blow out method is mind blowing. She is like Houdini. When she went off on maternity leave a while back, it was like she had filled Christina in on everything I needed to make the transition flawless. Along comes the amazing Christina and she didn’t miss a beat. Christina, like Michelle, always goes the extra mile to make sure I get what I want every time I visit. We’ve all been to the stylist that gives you what they think would look best on you! Christina listens to me, asks questions and together we arrive at the best solution and the time flies during my visit. During Covid, she has maintained her professional style all the while following strict Covid protocol and somehow I forget about the masks we are all wearing and enjoy my time in her chair. I always enjoy the conversation with the stylists at Evelyn Charles. They are sensitive to how I’m feeling that day and I’ve never felt uncomfortable or had anyone discuss inappropriate things or cross boundaries. I have found the front desk staff to be accommodating, pleasant and professional and I’m loving the new text confirmation system. The spa-like ambience in the salon is intentional and this team has figured out the perfect balance to make every visit feel like an escape. I cannot forget to mention sweet Kamlesh. She is such a knowledgeable aesthetician and understands the concept of being gentle. Thank you to the entire team at Evelyn Charles. It truly does take a village! Well done you!

I have got many complements for a few months now and I decided to post a review. My two teenage boys were on our family visit in Edmonton last September and they had discovered this beautiful place. If you have teenagers then you know how hard, almost impossible make them happy, but at Evelyn Charles Salon they were treated by an “ Angel “ . Anzhela K. made a magic and my always sceptical boys came home with a big smile! One of them made a perm , that looks amazing even now by the way, and my second boy had a very cool mid fade that looks wonderful on him ! So when I came from Ontario to Edmonton for a visit a few months ago I had no doubt where to go to treat my really bad COVID hair that haven’t been touched for almost a year . I had an excellent experience from the minute I walked into the Eveline Charles Salon to the minute I left. The atmosphere in the salon was peaceful and serene. It looks like the REVEAL in a HGTV episode. . . like an interior designer's dream. Anzhela made me feel like a million bucks. While she was washing my hair she gave me a " to die for " scalp massage . She is an absolute genius with a pair of scissors and best colourist I've been to, hands down. I've received so many compliments on my colour and cut since my visit. It's so refreshing to find a hair professional who knows what would look best on you, and you trust that the end result will be exactly what you're looking for. Her extensive knowledge of style gave me the confidence I was looking for. The hair care products by Evelyn Charles that Anzhela recommended to me are truly wonderful, I am loving my Shampoo and Conditioner , not only it smell wonderful my hair feels wonderful too ! The prices are worth every penny. If you want get treated like a VIP there’s no other place you should go to for your next hair appointment .I just wish we would have this Salon in Ontario , If I could I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I have been going to the Academy for more than 10 years and have always been very satisfied with my service. However, on my last appointment the instructor didn’t pay attention to the color formula and then tried to fix the mistake with foils. After I realized what the back of my hair looked like, I called to get the mistake fixed, I was told nothing could be done because my appointment was 16 days ago and the rule was after two weeks my complaint could not be addressed. I feel my situation wasn’t acknowledged and I was made to feel that I was only trying to get a free service.

I was a student almost 3 years ago in the calgary academy I've recently finished my hours in my apprenticeship and I am still required to show my transcripts. I have contacted the school numerous times to get a hold of my transcripts before my blue book expires. I have experienced nothing but absolute disappointment from management, admissions as well as teachers at the school! This academy has no sense of communication, organization, as well as urgency. Lucky I cannot get ahold of anyone higher up than admissions, I dont not recommend this school to any aspiring stylist.

I decided to take the professional esthetics program. My experience this far has been great. The teachers are awesome to work with,the administrators in the office are great to talk to about anything and are super understanding. The only thing I would change is better communication and better organization. But all in all its a good school to come to.

I had microblading and Brazilian and underarm laser treatments done by Farhana. She did an amazing job on my brows as i have always struggled with sparse brows and an odd shape, and she completely transformed the ends to better suit my face exactly the way i asked for. She also did them very precisely so that they were even and looked like my real brow hairs. She was very knowledgeable about the before and after care. I also have been getting laser treatments done with her and she is always very considerate and attentive to my requests and makes sure i am as comfortable as possible during the procedures and makes sure i have all the proper after care ointments and instructions. I will continue to get laser treatments with her and highly recommend her as a very skilled esthetician for these services :)

Came here for the first time to get my brows waxed for the very first time. I've been hearing mixed reviews from all over the place, but I absolutely loved it. I was given great customer service from the moment I approached the front desk. I got smiles, welcomes, asked about my day before I got my service and was brought to the lounge and offered refreshments! The lounge was clean, comfortable, and had magazines to read while I waited. The wax was absolutely wonderful. Finished quicker than I thought but the results were fantastic. I'm so in love! My brows look great and the amount of work put into them was wonderful. I had such a great experience coming in and out of the store that I will continue to come back! I really loved the W.E.M location's customer service and services! I definitely recommend coming here to get eyebrows waxed!

i had a facial with Farrah, it was suppose to be for an hour. During that hour she went for a 10 minute bathroom break and we finished 15 minutes early. She charged 20 dollars extra for a SHEET MASK. I came to get a facial to relax and the entire time she was talking it was all an infomercial to sell me extra products for a facial i was already paying $230 for. WASTE OF MONEY DO NOT GO HERE!!

Nirali has incredible attention to detail, listens to client wishes and also adds her professional feedback (helping us make decisions we have always been happy with). Looking to get my full certification in hair dressing. Samantha was friendly in informative on the phone and very warm and welcoming when we met for my tour. The place is classy and timeless looking when you walk in. Very clean and the displays were tidy and stocked. She answered all my questions and even a few I hadn't thought of. Then we toured the floor and class rooms. The stylist working there had smiles and so did the patrons. The classrooms were large and well lit. We took a look at the esthetic areas, which were tidy and well organized. I even got to meet Miss Eveline! Such a grand lady and welcoming too. Beautiful Academy. I was there last week to see Hibo for a hair cut. My hair had gotten a bit out of control with covid. But Hibo advised me how to treat my hair and get some moisture back. The whole experience at EC WEM was a mess. I booked the appointment a week in advance, called the day of the cut to see if I can push the time ahead 15 mins and they didn’t have me booked. (!) thank god I called or I would have shown up there with no appointment. The cut is terrible. I’ve never complained before for a cut in my life. I couldn’t do it there either, the hairdresser was super nice but oh man. I have fine hair and she managed to give me a cut that looks like a mushroom. I asked for a bob, light layers and lots of thinning out andshe did none of that. It’s insanely blunt and just a choppy blunt mess. There are also really long chunks of hair which looks like she forgot to cut? Ive had to tie up the front for weeks to hide how horrible it is. The thing that makes me the most upset is that I paid $100 for this cut!! I didn’t get a head massage or anything. Plus when I booked the appointment they told me it was going to be $80 so on top of all this I was overcharged. Another insane thing is that after the cut I just smiled and thanked her, didn’t even realize how bad it was until later so I didn’t say anything and she said to me to come back soon so she can spend time putting more texture and layers in it next time. This appointment was to get the length right. Um what? I’ve never heard of that ever. I gave a two star because she was really sweet. Bad haircut, bad service and a complete ripoff.

It was my first visit to EC with high expectation i booked for hair and nails. I can say the worse service with unprofessional girl. I showed her the picture and i asked her can you do the same thing and she was like of course but after 3 hours of doing my nails and wasting my time i got a bad color with bad shape. Then she was like you can come back the next day and i will change color, i came back and told her this is not the same thing asked you for then she was like what do you want me to do!! she should know her job and how to do the nails in perfect way not asking me. Received a gift card for a mani and a pedi for my birthday. I was so excited to finally use it post-lockdown! Ligita did my pedi and she was so pleasant and efficient, she did a great job and my UV gel is holding up nicely! Samantha did my mani and a really cute daisy design on my nails. Again, our conversation was great! I had such a nice experience but am disappointed by the quality of my mani. Not even 5 days after and half of my nails are lifting if not already completely peeled off and the two nails that were built up are misshapen. I think when your nails are finished you’re just so excited that you don’t really get a sense of the quality until your home and can take a better look. I don’t work with my hands so I expected the UV gel to last longer than a few days. The experience was 10/10 but really sad that the quality of my nails didn’t live up what I had anticipated. Staff was very friendly and the salon was very clean. I would revisit for a pedi!

My mother received a cut and colour from Christine. Her hair was light brown to begin with and she was wanting to lighten it up and add some blonde. She was told it is not possible to change the base colour of her hair because it will not pull (it was light brown, not dark at all) and that she could just add a few blonde pieces here and there. She told my mother it will look much different once she is done. It looked exactly the same and there was no difference at all. She assured my mother before they started it was going to be a big change. She then expected her to pay over $300 for nothing. This lady is supposed to be a senior stylist?? We will never be coming back. This lady was too lazy to give my mother want she wanted and then tried to get full price. For literally nothing. Oh it also took her close to 4 hours to have my mother leave with the exact same hair as when she arrived.

I usually have no problem with that as long as the cut is good. Its been 2 weeks and i HATE the cut; very choppy and too short. also when he was washing my hair it was very uncomfortable on my neck... there was no cushion or towel provided.. very displeased with the service and will not be going back. I ended up only being 5 minutes late but the fact they were still willing to fit me in was awesome. The past two times I have been to Evelyn Charles’s I have have had really bad hair dressers. Mainly the hair dying. The stylists both seemed to have a lot of self confidence witch made me feel comfortable and relaxed that they knew what they were doing. The first guy I had seen a few times and the last time he was supposed to colour my hair with ashy grey highlights but botched the colour and it looked really bad. And the last time I had this new girl, she put so much (highlights) in my hair that it looked like I was wearing a blond mop on my head. Both times the cost was over a hundreds dollars between 100 and 200 I have a bad memory. I won’t ever be going to Evelin Charles again. They don’t have the qualifications or knowledge on how to colour hair. I give them a 0/5

Imagine my surprise when I arrived for my appointment with Michelle only to be told that she called in sick that day and I was now with someone else. No apology, just “didn’t we call you? Oh, I see we didn’t.” As my regular stylist was on maternity leave even seeing Michelle would have been my first time. The cut I received was OK, but not great. This is not the first time Eveline Charles has done this to me and if it was done to me I know there are others that this has happened to. With the price of obtaining services from this salon is not cheap to start with, being moved to a different person without my knowledge or consent along with the less than top notch service I have grown to expect from this salon I have opted to take my business elsewhere. They give you a robe to wear and offer you tea/coffee or water. I came in with a very bad dye job that has been going on for 5 years. My hair is long (down to my waist). I was terrified that I was going to have to cut it off to fix it. The ladies here are amazing. Anzhela Kotlyarov was my stylist. She is knowledgeable, great communication, caring, funny and sweet. She took her time to talk to me about my hair before we jumped into another colour. I told her what I wanted and she DELIVERED!!!! 100% on mark!. The cut is fantastic and she showed me how to do beach waves in my hair. She spent hrs with me and saved my hair. The price was amazing and I am 110% satisfied with the outcome. I will now be making this my new Spa/Salon. I will be getting my monthly Pedicures/Manicures/Waxing and hair colouring/cut done here. I am even going to look into the microbladed eyebrows. I was against microblading at first but after my visit to this Spa/Salon it has changed my views. The stylist only works on 2 clients per day so she spends her time with you to ensure she gives you the best quality experience that you will ever have. Top notch salon! Worst place ever! I booked a make over for my son's wedding & spoke specifically with the makeup artist. She gave me an appointment card for September 2 @9:15 AM. A week prior to my appointment I was at the salon for another service and took an opportunity to double check my appointment for Sept. 2. I was told all is good. On Aug. 31 I received an email confirmation about my appointment but it was for the wrong time. I phoned to notify the salon that my appointment is 9:15 AM and not 9:40 AM on Saturday. The receptionist checked schedule in the computer and again I was told all is good. However, come Saturday morning, the day of my son's wedding, I was told that the makeup artist is not working today and they had no one else to do my makeup! The salon could not offer anything to rectify the situation!!!! Talk about very poor customer service - no explanation, no follow up phone call. I absolutely would not recommend Evelyn Charles WEM location to anyone.

Super misleading ! You pick a time and price to only double it when confirming the booking. Plus it only shows you the price after you created an account. I have been to this salon in the past and have had great experiences; I needed a last minute appt and was pleased to book online for the next day. I chose the stylist based on EC FB page posts and was confident I would receive the cut I had in mind (as I was not happy with the cut I had two months earlier at a different salon). To start, the stylist washed my hair before getting an idea of what I was looking for which I thought was odd. After the wash, I showed a picture of the style and length I had in mind asking if the style of cut would work with my hair, and they said my hair was pretty thick and I wouldn’t want to go that short (neck exposed). I let them know I had cut it shorter in the past and that’s what I wanted, they said they would layer and texturize and I said that was fine. After taking some length off, I was turned towards the mirror and I said it was not as short as I wanted. The stylist then said “I thought we agreed on the style” and that they were layering pretty short. I said again, the length much longer than I wanted and I didn’t like it. The stylist then said something like “well ok, but since I’ve already started like this, it’s not going to work going shorter”. I was then very frustrated and said fine, let’s continue as it is because I’m not arguing about what I want. The stylist then said, “I’ll show you the back” hoping to please me and again, I said it’s much longer than I asked for. They asked how much I wanted off, held a comb about an inch higher and started over - but judging by the hair falling, they were not taking that much off and at this point, I just wanted it over with as I knew I would not be leaving with what I had initially asked for. I am very frustrated that my vision was negated by the stylist and do not feel the cut was worth the amount I paid. *Update: I was contacted by the salon very quickly and they offered a solution to rectify the situation; I’m quite satisfied with the outcome.

I went to EC to get my hair cut and a balayage as well as my hair curled and makeup done for my grad photos. I was very pleased with the results, as well as the price. The students were friendly and did a good job. There were instructors always available and checking in. The only downside is that it took bit longer than normal. For me, it took about 7 1/2 hours between two days to get everything done. So, give yourself extra time. Overall, I am happy with the experience and plan to go back.

This was my first experience in a salon. I came in wanting lowlights and my hairdresser suggested I get a shadow root instead. I listened to her because I was confident she knew what she was doing. Once it was done it looked like an overgrown root that was uneven and patchy. There wasn’t any transition between light and dark and it didn’t look natural like she said it would look. So me not wanting to be rude just paid for it and left. But I decided I wanted it fixed as it was very bad in pictures and my friends were noticing it. I was under the impression mistakes made by hairstylists would be fixed complimentary if brought to their attention sooner than later. Especially since I had already paid $190 the first time for a complete mess. But no they were trying to charge me another $190 ish for what actually turned out good. They refunded me a small chunk of the $190 ish. Although I don’t believe I should of had to pay anything since the finishing product of my first appointment was not anything I asked for or wanted. I will not be returning. Bad first experience in a salon. Another problem was that no one made clear what prices were for any of my services unless I asked them. I was charged $60 for a haircut and was not informed of the price so it was a shock to me how expensive it was when I’ve never had a salon haircut before. please inform your clients of the quoted prices before doing the services!!!! Aside from this the staff were very friendly and the second hair appointment was way better than the first.

My 3 stars is a reflection of EC, not my new amazing esthetician. Revilyn is excellent. She is the first person to take time to style my brows properly, which others have noted are "difficult". Friendly, professional, abides by sanitation standards and is excellent. She gets 5/5 stars. Eveline Charles gets less stars. The salon is nice and is well maintained. It is popular, so it is quite busy. What annoyed me is that they did not maintain any restrictions when unhappily the provincial government decided that masking was no longer required indoors. They said that they would not require their staff or customers to wear masks, although most of their staff still wore masks. I did other personal services during this time and the places I went to continued to do COVID-19 screening and require masks for the health and safety of their employees and customers. One place did not, so stopped going there too. I stopped going to EC for about 3 months until restrictions were put back in place. Fortunately, that's when I was lucky enough to get Revilyn. Before my 2-3 month break, I had an esthetician who did not wear her mask properly (nose was always exposed) and whom I always had to remind to wash her hands. She did everything I asked her to do and never complained, but I should not have to remind an esthetician to wash their hands. Because of EC's position on no mask enforcement until it was made mandatory again and my concern about my esthetician, I went to another salon who that was still requiring masks, but the new esthetician got her second vaccine dose, she did not see the need to wear a mask (and they were not required indoors in Alberta), so I stopped seeing her too. After my last appointment, I was at the cash. A woman came up with no mask on and was saying something about liking the salon and vaccines and restrictions. That's actually what caused me to look her way and notice she was not wearing a mask. The man she was with was wearing a mask. Of course sometimes people do honestly forget to put their mask on, but whomever did her service should have reminded her to put her mask back on after it was completed. Maybe they did and she didn't listen given her comments. Masks are now mandatory in indoor public places. While I obviously don't know if she had an exemption, no one at the cash said anything to her. I moved far away from her. I get that it is uncomfortable for workers to ask people to put on a mask. A lot of people who don't wear them are aggressive and swear (I have had first hand experience of this), but it is unhappily part of your job now. If their workers are too afraid to do this, they need to do what some other places have done and hire a security guard. I am concerned about businesses that don't attempt to enforce public health orders especially this one given the services done.

I went to this salon a few weeks ago and was fortunate enough to have Anzhela Kotlyarov as my hair stylist. It is hard for me to even put into words what an incredible job she did on my hair. I went in to get a colour and cut as my last set of highlights had faded into a brassy orange tone. I wasn't really familiar with what I was asking for (ie is it a balayage, highlights etc that im asking for) but right away Anzhela was able to seemingly read my mind and knew what I meant. I brought in a hair extension and she was able to match my hair to the colour of the extension PERFECTLY. She corrected the brassy orange tone and gave me the most beautiful, soft, natural looking colour I've ever had. I have 100% never had a nicer colour and cut then this, I can say without doubt this is the best my hair has ever looked. Anzhela is such an incredibly talented , skilled, and experienced stylist and what she was able to do with my hair is nothing short of a miracle. The first picture in the striped shirt is my hair before, the close ups from the back are it next to the extensions (again perfect match!). Thank you so much Anzhela, I will 100% be seeing her again and would recommend her to anyone! 10/10!

I showed up 20 minutes early for my appointment that was supposed to start at 10. 11:00 passes and I’m still sitting there watching client after client being helped while my stylist just decided not to show up to work. Every measure is taken while you reach the Salon: mandatory mask, temperature taken as you arrive, and you must sanitize your hands before your service. I highly recommend “Revilyn Martin”. She is very professional and deliver excellent service. Revilyn gives the BEST wax and facials services! She is quick, thorough, and coaches you through the process by letting you know when you need to take a deep breath or when a certain section will be particularly uncomfortable. She is an incredibly talented provider of skin care necessities! She is skilled and very professional in all aspects. The waxes are the least painful and fastest I have ever experienced. Her facials are excellent, she spends a lot of time doing the most relaxing massage work, and my skin always glows after that. I am lucky to found her.

I took my daughter here for her first facial. We were in separate rooms for our treatments. I had a lovely experience. Unfortunately my poor daughter left in tears. Her provider did a microdermabrasion procedure on her baby skin! She is only 16 and she left with burns on her face. The provider did NOT obtain consent and had her sign the waiver AFTER the procedure. I was beyond furious. I went back, manager was not in, a kind staff worker refunded me the price of the procedure and assured me the manager would call. Well she did 3 days later. I left her a message the next day. Two weeks later…crickets. And then I get a text asking for a review!!!! Here it is. Awful experience. Poor management. Zero starts. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Hibo came back as my hair was almost being finished. And she told me to make sure I give her a good review. I though in my head I’ll get right on that . Then better yet I decided not to get haircut because the appointment was so long as it was I couldn’t deal with it anymore . She tried charging me 237.00 up at till then I told another lady up there I did not have haircut so it was 157 can’t believe a stylist like that is even working there . I was shocked . Too bad cause it was my regular salon I come all the way from osoyoos bc to see Brittany every 3 to 4 months . I won’t be back .. oh and I found Brittany I will be going to her .

If you're thinking about becoming a student at Eveline Charles Academy -- DON'T! The school is a complete sham. It costs students $17000-$20000 for this school, yet the school cannot afford basic things like hiring cleaners. Teachers make the students clean the school while they're supposed to be learning! The school is trying to scam students out of every penny they can by CHARGING students money for things like missing a class for any reason, if you want to wear a certain clothing item that is not approved by the school you have to pay money or making students buy expensive high fashion magazines that range from $30 to $80 to do an unnecessary project. One of the selling features of the school was that the price of admission includes a trip to Las Vegas for a fashion/makeup event. Which is supposedly a $2000 trip. Yet they booked the cheapest hotel possible, not provided transportation to and from the event or the airport and put 4 students per room! Which means you have to share a bed with another student! How cheap is that? The overall demeanour of most of the teachers is that the students have no rights in this school and cannot argue against whatever ridiculous rule or a fee they come up with. I would never recommend this school to anyone and the rest of the classmates wouldn't either.

I like to change my colour a lot from blonde to brown to purple to blonde and Brittany nails my colour every time! She really knows what she’s doing and is super friendly and knowledgeable. She makes sure you know exactly what it is your getting and let’s you know of any extra costs. She listens to what your looking for and takes very good care of your hair. I highly recommend going to see her!

I always hate to give a place I use to adore a bad review but it seems like the overall “spa” experience has gone down at EC although the prices haven’t. Flip flops that are thrown into drawers with no regards to size(suggested to bring your own), no toilet paper in bathroom stalls at 11 am in the morning(someone put a Kleenex box in there to substitute?), nothing to dry hands with in the men’s change rooms, robes that have seen better day(dingy grey), and change rooms that if you had to share with someone would be extremely awkward as there is one tiny bench and no rooms to change. Our couples massages were very average( that is generous) as we have had way better at cheap places like Massage Heights. This is truly sad as EC was always one of my favourite from Vancouver, to Calgary, and Edmonton when I needed a treat.

I have received fantastic therapeutic massage from Tiffany-Renee. I have had many massages in the past, but this girl has magic hands. She creates a very soothing atmosphere accompanied with essential oils that adds to the whole experience. She resolved my mobility issues and I felt myself again. Tiffany-Renee is very caring of her clients and after the massage she offered me a cup of mint tea. She is a very skilled therapist with extensive knowledge in her field. I had a asymmetrical bob and she did such a precise cut that even after I washed it was still perfect. I'm a low maintenance hair kind of person but with this cut I wash and air dry and go and it curls under without me even having to round brush the base. Samantha was able to work with my busy schedule and saw myself and my boyfriend in a timely manner of which my boyfriend and I enjoyed very much. My boyfriend has been dealing with chronic calluses with all the options he’s tried never helping - Samantha not only provided a professional and enjoyable service but also recommended a foot salve through EC and it has been his saving grace! I as usual enjoyed my pedicure as I always do from Samantha. The quality was great and always well-worth it! Although my nails have grown lots throughout our lockdown I am still holding onto some flawlessly un-chipped nail polish for what hasn’t grown out, haha (I’m in dire need of more services RN). Overall great experience. Highly recommend!

HORRIBLE. I came in for a blowout- to start off my hair was not shampooed properly. After the blowout process, my hair was poofy and I felt like a child. They charged me an extra $20 for length without telling me, keep in mind my hair is barely past my shoulders but just on the thicker side. I have gotten blowouts many times and the hairstylist usually has the skills to make my hair sleek, without overcharging me. I would have been embarrassed to go to an event like this.

Upon walking in the two customer service reps were leaning on the counter did not look happy to be at work or even remotely friendly (no smile or any friendly gesture) and both failed to greet me first, so I said "Hello". I asked if I could get in earlier, no luck which was completely fine. I came back for the scheduled appointment, when they lead me to the back they had no idea what I was getting done, so I just told them on the way to the back. The employee that was walking me back didn't make any attempt at striking up a conversation. The threading specialist was fantastic. I'm happy with the outcome. Despite the lack the of customer service, I may consider going back because of the threading specialist.

This was the worst experience I have had. I had an appointment with Natasha and I have never felt so judged and uncomfortable getting my hair done. If this was supposed to be a “senior stylist”, she was the most unprofessional stylist I have ever had. From the minute that I had walked in, she had a very judgy tone. She had questioned why I shaved my head. And although this is none of her business, I mentioned that I wanted to and was a personal choice. Next, after washing my hair and moving back to her station, she sternly said “let’s go”. And the minute I got up, she was no where to be found. Thankfully I knew where to go. During the haircut itself, communication was very very poor. She did not ask me if the length of my bangs were fine right before she cut them. I felt very uncomfortable and unhappy with the result of the cut. In the end, when she was done. She said “It is better than when you came in. There you go”. I’m not sure who in their right mind would say something like this to a customer. This is the most unprofessional human being I have ever let touch my hair. I am hoping something will be done about this before I call tomorrow to relay my concerns.

I was originally booked in to see a senior stylist I made a mistake for appt time and they said the senior stylist was not available at And gave me a time slot with an intermediate stylist named Kim. I showed a few pics of a cut with bangs I had wanted What I ended up was almost a borderline mullet I had tried explaining no I don’t want the face framed with short hair Her interpretation was to cut conservative which ofc I appreciated When I decided to look up she made side bangs to almost my center ear It clearly didn’t look like the pic i showed her I said again can I please just have a bangs hair cut And she raises her tone with me and says that’s what she was doing It was clearly not Another stylist intervened and was able to translate that I just wanted bangs that didn’t cover my eyes or rest on the side of my head being bangs for the ears as she made on me and I looked up in the mirror and I couldnt stop tears in my eyes like I have to go in public this way She then decided to stop cutting which I greatly appreciate The front staff asked if I wanted someone to fix it but at this point I’d had enough I use to get my hair coloured at this salon for years every 3 weeks about 10 yrs ago I just thought the salon had better standards And if the stylist isn’t understanding the request from customer to not raise their voice and imply I was clueless in what I wanted Aside from her the other staff were very friendly
