I've been coming here for years! And have never had anyone mess up my hair. One time I wasn't being patient enough to wait for an appointment so I went to a salon. I had to go in 3 times because she messed up my hair with the manager "fixing" it the 3rd time. I still had to come to Estelle after for them to fix my hair.. I also recently let a friend who's a hairdresser do my hair, and I'm back here at Estelle for them to do what I wanted initially for my hair. I will always come here, and I always recommend friends and family to come here. Great friendly service with great price! Just saw Jordyn today who did an AMAZING job with my hair, and the teachers are so knowledgeable! Especially to fix things. Would highly recommend :)

The prices are amazing, and both my visits there were spectacular. Viki did an amazing job on my highlights during my first visit. On the second visit Bailey dyed my hair, and did it so well that it almost looked like the natural hair color I had when I was younger. Afterwards Elrin cut my hair, and cut it absolutely perfectly. I'd definitely recommend Est-Elle to everyone!

I just got my haircut done this week. They welcomed the walk-in at the time and staff was very polite. Got my haircut by Marissa. She was really nice to me, and did exactly what I wanted. Will definitely recommend this place if one's looking for a place that doesn't charge unnecessary fee, unlike high-end salons!! Will come back for the next due haircut :D

So I've been looking at different schools around Edmonton to take my hair dressing course. I had stopped in at another one before I came here. I had high hopes for this school as my friend currently is attending there. And she had nothing hut good things to say. The ONLY reason why I'm writing this review is because there seems to be no reviews online regarding the schooling aspect of being g here. I wonder why as the students who actually go to this school should feel free to an honest review. Well here's mine. We went in there. And we were overwhelmed with how unprofessional and dirty and chaotic this place is. It looks like a huge salon that the owner just decided one day they were going to make it into a school. I got a cut from my friend. And all the girls who were leaning were all running around with their heads cut off. No one seemed to know where thibgs were. They had so many stations jam packed close to each other I don't understand how anyone could learn in this environment. After I'm don't the hair cut. She takes me on a small tiny tour. As there really isn't much too it. Really. Then I meet with the owner. To talk about the course. His back office is so dirty. Not professional at all. I got no pamphlet regarding the program. No set price on how much it's going to be as my friend told me a different price. Also so did the website. The guy I talked to told me nothing of the course.... The whole experience turned me so so far away...one of the students told me one of the teachers just walked out that day and no one heard from her.... How does that teach professionalism. The whole place is a mess. And it's no surprise as to why they do the course a lot cheaper that the other schools in Edmonton. Please. Hire an admissions coordinator. You guys need one.... Bad.

As good as a $100 cut but for a $19 price tag! Stylist (Erica L) was super nice, and unlike many places I've gone, really listened to what I wanted. It was scary at first to go to an academy, especially for such a big chop (I got over a foot taken off) but I'm extremely likely to go back again. Salon itself is bright and spacious, chairs are comfortable and surfaces are clean. You wouldn't even know it was a school just to look at it.

I came in for a men's cut and I was blown away. Jenna M. did an outstanding job. The amount of detail and care was phenomenal. I was surprised at how well my haircut went, especially since most here are students (including her). I paid way less than I expected to, and for a professional level cut, Unbelievable. I will definitely be back and I hope to follow Jenna when she graduates. Definitely check if she's in if you need a men's cut.

It's complete waste of money. This academy using students who has not develop any skills to do hair dye. There is no supervision at all. It was so ugly, I had to redo the hair dye by a professional on the next day.

Attentive! I went in with photos. I came out with an exact replica. Lots of discussion, lots of review. If you have the time you save a lot of money. My 2 color foil was 80.00 included a chai latte. My cut was 17.50. I am impressed and it was wonderful to work with Amanda and her teacher. Lots of smiles. Everyone is learning and trying to become a professional. It was my first time, great experience.

If I had to give stars for the owner 's behavior that we had an over charged pricing conflict, I would say that by the end of the story, it was not a mature response... But over all everything was good and professional from the staff that saved the day and I was happy with my hairdresser and her supervisor!! Before you visit this place check the prices because you might be surprised. Another weird thing that I found was that they brought me the bill in the middle of the procedure! Usually the bill comes by the time you are done and not before!

Got my hair done from here, no cut just colour. It was clean environment, and I was treated normal while I was at my appointment. My hair didn’t turn out as I wanted/asked for, after emailing the academy they offered to fix it if I wanted to come back. But my main issue was as soon as I got home the student who did my hair would not stop messaging me, about why I didn’t tip her. And just kept repeatedly asking me why I didn’t, and how this service at another salon would have cost $200+ and I only paid $124. Found this extremely unprofessional, and just straight up cheap have never experienced anything like this before. When I emailed the school about this, they had answers for everything, but how the student acted, just saying they agree with me, that it’s not expected that you tip. I don’t understand why I was treated this way when I payed with debit, there was no tip option, and at the end of the day I didn’t get what I wanted for. Lack of professionals simply.

5 STAR! Est-elle Academy and the team that work there are amazing, talented and welcoming. After looking to do some upgrading at work, I turned to Est-elle for help and they went out of their way to make sure I had all of training I needed to improve my career. If you are a beginner, I would start here to become inspired and feel confident when applying for new jobs. Even if you are experienced, the team help you with improvements, techniques and etiquette. They constantly bring in trainers from all different places for workshops too. Training can be tough, you need good support from REAL people and at Est-elle Academy , you'll find it. I want to personally thank Kevin, Ruth, Barb, Kelly and Olive for taking time to help me move onward on my career path. I will be back for future upgrading and look forward to when that time comes next. Thank You
