The curly hair specialists! The owner, Kelly, has been doing my hair for over 15 years and I'll never go anywhere else. The service is incredible, everyone is very talented and friendly, and the salon is beautiful. Kelly is incredibly skilled, of course, but the most important thing is that she listens! She gets to know you and your hair, and is very realistic about what styles work for your hair (but isn't afraid to experiment). Whether I go in there with reference photos and grand plans, or just a vague idea, I always leave with a fantastic cut. The dyes and chemicals they use are also very kind to my hair, skin, and nose.

I have been going to my wonderful hair stylist, Kati (Lillian) Makepeace for the past 10 years! I highly recommend her as a stylist at Echo Hair Design as her work is always perfection!! I have gone from a dark burnett to a sun kissed blonde and my hair feels healthier than ever, thanks to Kati. She really does go above and beyond for her clients. I am always amazed of how well she understands exactly what I want. Sitting in her chair is like catching up with an old friend. Her upbeat personality and positivity is always a pleasure to be around! The salon is beautiful and is located right on Whyte Avenue. I am a huge fan of Living Proof products and this salon uses their entire line! I would recommend parking in the underground parkade of the building where parking is cheap and there are always tons of open stalls. Did not give me the stylist I wanted. Would not listen to me and gave me a terrible haircut not even close to what I was wanting. The stylist(Marcie) tried to tell me I was in hair shock. In reality, it is a terrible haircut. I've had to wear a head scarf it's so embarrassing. When contacting management Kelly blew off my concerns and told me to wait at least a week before she would even try to fix it. When I contacted her again, I was ignored.

Went in for a haircut a couple months ago. Bought a devacurl product that was on clearance, and was told that it was on clearance because it was missing a cap. Well couple months later and my hair is thinning and falling out, turns out that I’m losing my hair because this product happened to be an old product with the old ingredients which has a LAWSUIT against them. Why would you sell this product to your customers???

I have now gotten a couple curly cuts from Jenness and they've been the best hair cuts I've ever had. She has great knowledge and truly understands how curls need to be treated. It is a bit pricy as a student but well worth it.

I've been looking for a hairdresser who can cut curly hair for years! Every stylist claims they can but I could not find anyone... until I found Jenness :) she is truly gifted! I'm sure she can cut straight hair also since the many years of experience she has really shows on how versatile she is. She really takes the time to listen and unlike a lot of hair dressers I've had who just do their own thing she really gives me what I want! I can't say enough good thing about her ♡

This salon is great! I love going in chemical free it’s so peaceful! As someone sensitive to salon products every colour I’ve had done here doesn’t even have a smell not to mention I’ve not had a reaction to lightener here ever! All the stylists are super friendly! They carry several health conditions product lines also! Dive curl, Kevin Murphy, and they even carry L’Oréal colour(the ammonia free line) which is amazing cause I’m not into having other products used in my hair!

Kelly was very knowledgeable about my hair type and provided me with a lot of useful information about different curly hair products and how to wash/dry/style my hair to keep my curls looking great. It was obvious she was very passionate about her work and cares for her clients. I had a fantastic experience and plan to come back. I highly recommend this salon.

Worst hair color ever.. Don't even want to go out in public it's that bad. Will not ever go back! Do not recommend. If I could post a picture I would. Have to go to another salon just to get it fixed and redone properly.

Absolutely terrible service and butchered my hair! Refused to fix it and only gave me my money back weeks after the fact. Manager told me that I was emotional and overreacting, and that it looked fine. I think not. I couldn't even go out in public without a head covering until it grew out.
