If you are unable to do something or prefer a different time, simply communicate that so that we don’t waste our time as this was one of the only places we saw online that does locs in Edmonton. Oh Noma you are a shining ray of light and it's an absolute pleasure and privilege to have met you! I stumbled upon Dreadlocks By Crochet while doing a google search to find someone who does box braids in Edmonton. I had recently cut off my 11 year old Sisterlock dreadlocks as they were brittle, dry and tired looking and I thought it was time for a change. Well after 11 years of having dreads I did not realize what I was getting myself into when I cut them off and how much I would miss them. Some say you are not your hair you are you and your hair is not who you are. Well I can say now for myself that is not true. My dreads were and are a part of me. My dreads represent who I am as a person and give me the power and fuel the fire of the outgoing and adventurous woman that I am.There are some that believe dreadlocks are the antenna to the universe. They believe that with the locks come a heightened subconscious awareness and stronger spirituality. Some believe the longer one’s locks are the more wisdom they carry. Locked in these fibers of hair are the stories of it’s carrier. It stores a record of energy, tomes of events and emotions. It serves as a pantry for every tear and every laugh. Whereas most people shed their hair and comb & brush it out my loc’d nation keeps it as a souvenir. Thanks to Noma and her beautiful custom handmade dreads I feel like my old self again. I feel like I got my groove back. literally! Thank you Noma. Thank you for giving me back a part of myself. :) Noma is a very busy woman! Please allow her time to get back to you and be patient as she has many many clients and works full time day and night taking care of peoples dreadlocks and installations and still somehow has time to raise a son and daughter. When arriving to the place to get my dreadlocks installed, I was greeted by a very friendly and welcoming smile. Because you can tell who really care about their job by the attitude, determination, and expression they present. She had all those characteristics for herself. During the all process, we had a conversation. She told me about how she got into doing dreadlocks and everything I need know about maintain my hair. And give me great advices about life, education, and etc. She treated me not like a customer but a very good friend as we only meet once. Noma replied immediately to my inquiry and answered all my questions regarding dreads and the process. Her prices are fair and her work is exceptional. She came to my home and was 15 minutes early, she quoted a time that she would finish my dreads and she kept that time. I am a new mother to 16 day old twins and time is everything. Her prices are fair considering the time that it takes her to crochet each dreadlock. She is knowledgeable in the types of hair products that will help to reduce deposits on dreads as well as reducing dandruff buildup. The best part was that when she came to my home I noticed that Norma also had dreadlocks, healthy looking locks to boot that she had been growing for 10 yrs. All in all my experience was pleasant and I will definitely be using her services again.
