Dave's Hair Design, was an absolute treat. I just moved to Edmonton and was looking for a haircut, I saw they had hreat reviews and phoned them up. Upon arriving I was greeted very warmly, asked specific questions about how I wanted my hair, they put me at ease and gave me the best haircut of my life! That is not a hyperbole, that was the best haircut of my life, and I will be telling everyone about Dave's.

Highly Recommended ???? After my hair was painted, folded up in foils, heated, toned, and rinsed, Travis took my hair out of the towel, revealing that it was very dark. I initially chalked it up to wetness, but as he dried my hair it became apparent that my hair was highlighted to a coppery look on top and blonde at the ends whereas I wanted a proper blonde. We did another session, and this guys made it work !!!! I appreciate thier dedication to work and how much they value thier customer's need. He spended nearly 5 hours and guess what I got the lovely blonde hair I was looking for. I also bought a shampoo which is worth the buy my hair feels so smooth and shiny Thanku so much Dave and Travis ???? Will cu guys soon :)

I LOVE my hair!!! The experience today was 10 out a 10! I had called to see if he had any walk-ins available for Saturday and when he said no, I was really happy to wait a day! He took me on a Sunday. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and easy to have a conversation with. I didn’t even have to say what I wanted he just knew from experience of what type of hair I had, as well of what kind of person I am once he had gotten to know me. I am very pleased with the service and the price and booked my next appointment which I never do. A client forever ???? very happy and looking forward to my next appointment.

I love this place, great atmosphere, and Dave and Travis are great! Very professional. Dave has done my hair twice and by far the best cuts I've had. Dave is a hair "artist". He knows just how to cut your hair to the perfect style. Very precise and particular. Definitely recommend to woman who like short and edgy cuts.

Been going here for a little over a year now. Honestly only really loved 4 to 5 haircuts from them. Sadly my best haircut was by Dave himself yet he only ever cut it once. If you want a solid haircut then it's the place to go as long as you don't mind the inconsistent cuts despite being a regular. Welcoming but I keep finding myself having to wait 30 mins extra for my turn even though I book with them. Overpriced for a haircut with the same quality as the $15 dollar ones from elsewhere, only difference is they wash your hair before hand. Cutting ties with this salon, and will look for a better place to accommodate me.

Super lovely place!!! It is our first time going there and people who work there are very accommodating. I went there to get my hair color and haircut for hubby and son. Hubby and son love it and Travis got what we instructed him for the haircut. Got my hair color done and i really love it. They are very friendly as well. If you are looking to get a perm or service here then you may want to consider elsewhere. I showed Dave, the owner, numerous pictures of how I wanted my perm to look. After Dave completed my perm, I expressed that the curls were too tight for my liking. He started to blame it on the fact that I didn’t want to cut my hair to complete the look. (I told him that I am going to my regular barber for my haircut). He said that he was offended and refused to cut my hair. After seeing the perm, I said I’d take the advice to cut my hair so that it would “loosen” the perm. He blatantly refused to cut my hair because of my decision to see my regular barber. In fact, he was criticizing my barber’s cut the entire time. He said “You can ask Travis (the other barber) but I won’t cut your hair.” After expressing that the perm was too tight, he refused to give me knowledge or offer any solutions to loosen the perm. I will not be returning others and wanted to share this experience so others are aware of the owner’s unprofessional behaviour and hostility.

I went to Dave's two years ago after a difficult time in my life. At the time I had two streaks of color put in my hair and was planning on returning for a haircut, but life circumstances made it impossible. Yesterday I went into Dave's with a loose idea of what I wanted but Dave and Travis took it and ran with it. I LOVE what they did. Dave chose an amazing color that matches my skin and eyes perfectly and a beautiful cut that has made me feel so much better about myself. Both the guys are artists and their high standards really show through their work. You won't be sorry if you get your hair done here!

Higher quality and more attention to detail barber shop, walk ins are welcome but only when they aren't busy, and most of the time they are. I recommend you get an appointment before hand. EDIT 2019 I recently went for a haircut and there was this guy called "Travis", he was terrible, left me with hairs that weren't cut all over the back of my head, over my ears, and cuts on my part line. He was actually so bad that I had to correct my hair at a different barber after. And the kick in the nuts is, they charge 30 dollars for a sub-par haircut that isn't worth 15 dollars.. Such a disappointment.

Terrible! Walked in and made an appointment for the same day. I waited for 30 minutes wile they took people that arrived after me. I waited and there was no staffs member that offered me an explanation why the wait or the taking clients before me. I had to ask and they said "they were running late" terrible client experience. So this isn't a place to go if you value your time. I brought my son for a haircut (which I've done many times before, at many different places) and although he was the only one in there, it took 50 mins for a haircut because they insisted on doing housekeeping tasks before he got his cut. It was also more expensive than anywhere else we've gone. They did a decent job with the cut, but we'll go somewhere else next time.
