$30 for a kids haircut just because she's a girl... Literally was told by the hairstylist that the $17 kids haircut is FOR BOYS ONLY. Honestly I have always had good service here, except for today. I took my six year old to get her hair cut. Her hair was maybe halfway down her back. The sign on the front door said "kids $17". We go in, the lady was very nice and accommodating as usual. She cuts 3 -4 inches off of my daughters hair, blow dries it and we are good to go. She charges me over $30 for the haircut. OVER 30! I paid the bill, added Tip and left, upon leaving I checked the sign again, sure enough it says "kids $17" I go back in and let her know and her response was "that's for boys 12 and under" BOYS 12 and UNDER. it does not state that on the door, does not differentiate between genders. SO because my daughter is a girl and received a blow dry at the end, her's was worth more than double? There was no point in arguing as i already paid. But i would definitely not recommend this place to anyone who has a little girl.

I go there for a buzz cut and my wife goes there for a cut and colour regularly. We have been doing so for many years and the service from the owner is a 110%. We are extremely pleased every time.

I have been going to Bolero for 3-4 years now and having my hair cut by Suman even longer than that. She is always friendly to deal with, very accommodating for appointments, and the prices for a haircut are very reasonable. Suman knows how to cut my hair just the way I like it. She is also willing to tell me if my style change request is doable, fixes any mistakes I've made trying to cut my own hair, and let's me know if my bald spot is getting worse, LOL. There is no other hairdresser in Edmonton I'd rather go to.

I went here for a Normal haircut. I saw all those 5star reviews and thought to myself that this must be a good hair salon. Well when i checked the back of my hair the next morning I realized that the hairline on the back of my head was totally crooked. At least by half an inch, it looks terrible. I will definitely stick to a little bit more expensive hair salons, there I know what I get, quality over quantity.

I went to get my hair trimmed and layered! She cut it so fastand was not messuring the layers one side was longer then the other. Hair does not fall into place one side is thicker and I went back the next day to get it fixed. She cut it even shorter. I showed her pics of my hair how I wanted she cut it it 5 mon when others take there time take 1/2 hour. And others messure each layer. Will not go back. VERY DISSAPOINTED for what I spent. Do not go there!

By far the best Salon in Edmonton , the owner is accomadating and always makes time She is one of the kindest people I have ever met . Her salon is very clean and tastefully decorated . I went to this salon for a haircut today because I wanted a cheap place to just get my dead ends taken off. I saw it had good reviews and on their website it said that ladies haircut was $25, that's it. Sweet so I go. First there were little fruit flies all over the place which was a little gross. When it was my turn the brushes weren't cleaned or the hair from the previous girl taken out of them before used on me which I found a little weird. The woman is nice enough but I tell her I just want a couple inches off and she offers to do a couple long layers. Well she has one other woman waiting and is saying that she has a regular costumer coming in at 330, and it's already after 3 and she is really rushing my hair. Not combing through to the ends before cutting just pulling the comb through until it gets stopped by tangles at the end and cutting wherever it gets caught. I didn't notice till I got home hours later that this resulted in very blunt, uneven 'layers' all over the place. It looks like I did them myself in the bathroom mirror. I didnt realize how bad they were until later so I said it was okay and went to pay. She tells me my total is $57. I thought it was $25 for women's cuts? "No that's only for very short hair. Plus you got a cut and style". The 'style' was that she blow dried my hair because it was wet from her spraying it.... overall very disappointed. It was way over priced for what I ended up with. I will definitely not be back to this location. And maybe think about updating your website so it doesnt only say $25 for women's haircuts.

I have the delight and privilege to see Suman for my eyebrows, she has transformed my brows in ways I never thought possible. She is AMAZING!!! I drive all the way in from downtown Edmonton just for her. She is great at what she does and oh so lovely, and I seriously feel so relaxed and beautiful after spending time here! It was OK I got foils on half of my hair and a trim then blow dryed was charged 168 seemed a little pricey to me also blonde streaks are uneven on each side and thru out of my head black streaks showing unevenness kinda upset cause I'm Goin to mexico and was hoping to get great result from here...was rushed alittle other than experience was good just to pricey for me and uneven for me don't think I'll be going there again any time soon though lady was really nice

I went to Bolero to get my color done (my hair is a black color and I got blonde highlights) and they did a fabulous job! Now my hair looks fresh and healthy! Best of all, everyone is telling me I look younger and nothing is better than a compliment like that! my friends couldn't believe the difference in my hair. I go back on regular basis now and I recommend this to others. :)

My hair color was very expensive. I called to clarify why and she said the hair color, cut and style was $255 and threading was $45, plus $15 GST. The cost was actually $330. I have longish hair and it is thick but to me, this is totally unreasonable.

As soon as I went in to the salon, I was greeted well because I was the only customer there. There was Suman, the owner, and a different Asian gentleman stylist. The Asian gentleman was unmasked, and kleenexing his nose uncontrollably. Went in for a coloring with Suman. I wanted to go from my natural black hair color to a dark brown and showed her a picture of the color I wanted. I was told this would be done by bleaching the hair. Everything was going fine until the bleach was applied to my hair. I was told that the burning sensation on my scalp was normal and nothing to worry about. I have had the same process done before by a different salon and they only left the bleach in for about 2 minutes, then go with toner, color etc. However, in this case, there was another client who had come in and the owner and the new client proceeded to joke around. As a result, the bleach was left on my hair for a good 30 minutes. The result of that was that my hair became a strawberry blonde color. When I said that was not the color I wanted as evidenced by the photograph I showed her. She was adamant that it was the same color. I wanted a hair color like Tom Cruise or Josh Hartnett and the bleaching left my hair with a Paris Hilton color. When I told her to dye it darker, she was apprehensive and immediately became defensive and hostile. She said it would "cost just a few dollars extra" than my initial quoted price of $65. The total price was $135. I was still not happy with the color and did not want to spend any more time and money there. I have since corrected the color using those box hair dyes at home.

I have recommended her to all my family and friends. I've been coming to her for many years and have had everything from eyebrows threaded, nails done and hair cut and coloured!
