We went there with our almost 2 yr old for his first hair cut. Ladies were great! The hairdresser who was cutting his hair was very engaged with him, let him help her with her clippers few times, which made him super excited and engaged. He was playing with cute car (car seat), and was calm and well behaved for majority of the time. He was talked to and was allowed to touch clippers while she was giving him very professional cut. We were also taking some pictures, and the staff was wonderful about it. We highly recommend this place - especially for first hair cuts!

My son loves to get his haircut at Beaners. Nimira gave him a really cool haircut. He gets a bit nervous with the trimmer but she was calming him down, distracting him in several ways and got the work done perfectly. I would highly recommend her for your kids haircut. Really sweet lady! I think I am going to take my younger one to her as well for his next haircut.

They are really patient and gentle with kids who aren’t in the mood (crying their eyes out) for a haircut. Getting an appointment was easy and we didn’t have to wait. Perfect place for a first cut experience. We went on a Saturday afternoon and our appointment was with Agnes.

This salon is absolutely fabulous with kids. My son has had two hair cuts here. The first haircut my son wasn't too thrilled, however the stylist was so patient and she was able to complete the cut. He was happy with the ball pit and toys. Second time the lady was so nice and they had Trolls on, my son had no issues. I am so thankful they were as fantastic the first time and now my son has no issues with getting his haircut :)

The actual hairdresser that did my daughter's hair was great. She was friendly and very very patient with her as this was her first time and very squirmy. However, they sell a bunch of toys at the front and they are accessible for kids to touch and when my child was touching them, a different hairdresser rudely said that they had other toys for kids to play with in the back. Put toys for sale higher up, out of reach if you don't want kids playing with them!! Then, when we paid and gave a decent tip, the lady at the front desk didn't even say thank you.

Great for kids who need the distraction and excitement offered here. Some stylists are better than others with scissor cuts on fine hair but overall very satisfied with the service! Kids keep requesting to come back, so it's a winner with them!

Took my 2 year old here for her first salon cut. The staff was patient while she got acclimated and picked out a chair. We worked together to keep my daughter busy enough for the stylist to do a good job. She was really uncooperative, but despite the wriggles, I'm very happy with how the cut turned out! We'll definitely be bringing her here again until she's ready for a regular salon!

The hair cut itself was decent and I like the place. But the lady who cut my daughter's hair was a bit rude and seemed to have very little experience with cutting kids hair. we take her to a specialty kids salon with the expectation that they can handle kids who can't sit still!!

This is our son's favourite place to get his haircut, as he likes riding in the cars during his haircut and playing in the ball pit after. I like that they actually know how to cut children's hair and are experienced enough to know how to handle squirming and moving kids effectively. We go regularly and would go back in the future.

We arrived shortly before 5, as I thought it closed at 6. I have no idea why I thought this, as the door is clearly marked with the closing hours of 5pm. Even though we were so late, they were happy to fit our son in for his first hair cut. They did a great job, although now my baby looks like a toddler. That's not on them though, that's on aging.

While I appreciate the environment Beaners tries to create with the ball pit and fun chairs, they have failed to staff this location with skilled and friendly hairdressers. I would not return to this location after I took my son and daughter here for a trim. The staff were sullen and short with us when we came in for our appointment. My son's cut took almost an hour and was nothing like the picture I showed the hairdresser (a simple fade cut), and my daughter's hair looked like it hadn't even been touched.

I can't never get anyone to answer the phone line at this location. I always have to call terwillegar and they answered right away ???? .... They open at "9" am but 5 calls later and still no answer. Edit: it's now 9:40 and 11 calls later... NO ANSWER

We always get the nicest ladies. My son gets his hair cut here once a month and the women are so patient. They also make 100% sure what you want before you begin. They will recommend certain hair styles that suit your child's hair type and face shape. My son always leaves looking older than when he walks in. Super cute.

I will not recommend this place at all. I took my both sons, younger for first time for his haircut. He had long hair. That day he didnt has his shower yet, and he is big fan of eating yogurt. So before we went their he had yogurt at home and he might have rubbed a little on his front hair. And the lady said to me that he has lices. I told her that its not possible. He ate yogurt so might have toched his hair. She stopped there withpit even informing. And now they start gossiping about it. The other lady who cuttibg my elders son’s hair, started checking his hair and said he is clear. They made the whole scenes as embarrassing for me. I came home, checked my son’s hair and they are super clear. It was the yogurt he ate in the afternoon. Cause the little chunk cracked like a dried when i tried to push with my nail. I would never recommend this place. Poor customer service.

Rudest service ever. Walked in and was quickly asked if we had an appointment. We didn't have one but there was absolutely no one I there and she said they were booked for the night. This was 3 hours before closing and not one person in there. Another lady came out from the back and still no one would cut my daughters bangs which usually takes 1 minute. Why were we refused service? We parked out side for a couple minutes and still no one went in I don't get it.

My wife took our little guy here on Monday Nov 12th she wasn’t to happy with the cut or the person who cut our kid’s hair. Why, well the hair was still long and very unevenly cut. It was a very poor job and it really did look bad. My wife asked the person if they could trim his hair some more and she refused. So she ended up paying for such a poor job with poor service. Now a day later Nov 13 we go to the Windermere location and the person who took our kid to give him a cut couldn’t believe the poor job. And was shocked at the poor service we got at this location. The person at the Windermere location was great and did a really good job and gave him a proper hair cut. Just sucks we had to pay twice one for a proper job and one from a person who didn’t know what they were doing. We will NOT be going back to this location. Oh and the pictures was after we got it “cut” on Monday.

Took my 15 month old here for his first hair cut and it went better than expected. The stylist was amazing at making sure that every new tool she grabbed she was showing him and telling him everything is ok. She did an amazing job through all the wiggling he did. Price was fair considering all that they have to put up with. Will most likely be back since it was such an easy process

The place is good but I just do not know how well trained the staffs are. I took my baby for a haircut, my baby was very cooperative so I don’t understand why the lady who rendered us cut my baby’s neck. And did not apologize! She said, “It’s just a little cut.” My husband and I were very upset but we needed to compose ourselves. Not going back there ever.

After her initial trim was finished, I suggested layers for my daughter. My daughter said she did not want layers. She said no as soon as the first cut was made but the person tried to keep going and add more layers. I spoke up and said, she said she doesn't want them." The person said "I'm not going to stop" and just tried to keep cutting. I had to put my hands around my daughter's hair to get the person to stop. My daughter started crying and was obviously scared. This person needs more training on respecting children's personal boundaries. Having an even haircut is not as important as making a child feel safe and have agency over their own body. My daughter never wants to come back to this salon and neither do I. Now we have warned you- never come to this place.

Yesterday I went to to the Calgary trail location. The service was very poor; the hair stylist who cut my children’s hair decided cut it however she saw fit and not how I wanted it. A terrible cut that showed no experience in cutting hair ????

I took my son in to get a simple cut "1 on the bottom and 2 on the top". My son is mixed and has loose afro curls. I've taken him a few times and only ONE person did a decent job. The last time I took him the 2 ladies available argued over who would take him as NEITHER WANTED TO! It was a simple trim nothing that required any real ability instead I got to listen to 2 women argue about not wanting to do his hair. FYI... hire people who know that not all hair is white hair!

Unpleasant experience, the hair cut felt rushed and the stylist didn't bother to listen to what we were asking for. She didn't offer to grab a style book, and said the pictures of his last haircut that we showed her were useless. She then tried to lecture us on what to ask for next time, but the examples she used were things we had asked for. I don't intend on returning to this location and recommend other parents take the time to drive somewhere else.

I have been taking my three kids to Nadi at Beaners South Park location in Edmonton for years. My kids all have cowlicks that are hard for most hair dressers to cut properly, but Nadi makes it look easy to work with their cowlicks! She is able to look at a picture of a requested haircut and then perform it effortlessly for my kids. My daughter has very thick hair that makes it difficult for most hairdressers to cut evenly, but Nadi has no difficulty cutting it properly and texturizing it. Even though there are other locations closer to my place, I choose to make the 35 minute drive for Nadi to cut my kids' hair. If you're looking for a place that consistently gives high quality haircuts to your kids, then give Nadi at Beaners South Park a try!

Was not impressed that I made an appointment for 10:45 and the person that had an appointment at 11 was taken in before me because she was early to her appointment. I was there for my scheduled appointment time and was not taken and the lady (Zagreb) that was talking to me was INCREDIBLY rude and argued with me about respecting the other people’s time (when my time was not respected at all....) Have always taken my kids here but will not after my experience today. And My other friends with kids will be taking their business elsewhere as well. Thanks for the horrible customer service!

I went in asking for my son's hair to be kept long. She said she would blend his hair. I said ok. She then took the clippers and basically shaved the back of his head and when I asked her why she said she was blending it and that it would look fine. It doesn't look fine. I would not recommend them at all.

We had an appointment today at 11am.Calgary trail location.Arrived 5mins earlier,My wife was told to wait 10-15mins more,so she did.Then the reception lady finally showed my wife some kind of catalogue for hairstyles she might like for my son..that is past 20mins over her appiointment.Then another customer walked in with her son,her appointment is 11:30 and she is just complaining that she does not want to wait because she has anothet appointment at 12nn.Then that east indian lady attended to them first instead of our appointment.The reception lady told her that my wife's been waiting for 20mins already and her reply to her was "it's okay".Completely ignored us and sat the new kid.My wife and I are disappointed and got mad,I confronted them and...we never heard any apologies from them,specially that racist east indian.We've been to this place several times before and never encountered such treatment from any of their staff unlike today from her.Your company should educate this racist staff of yours.

Calgary trail location is a busy salon and I do understand I had to wait a bit long but I always come to see one stylist she is patient and kind to my kids. Nice workers, my son left with a good haircut although it put me off that they were not following health guidelines and letting entire families sit inside without having santized or requiring them to wear masks. The safety and health of customers who are choosing to follow guidelines should be of importance to the business. (I watched customers walk on and leave without receiving services which I can only assume is because of this)
