You may have noticed that it reaches an feddbacks average is discreet, neither too high nor too low, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can be quite sure that the rating is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

Ok
Used to visit here prior to 2020 almost daily in the mornings. From what I last remember they had a decent amount of machines (elliptical/treadmills)but was very lacking with having enough workout benches in the strength training area. This location is a small space so it's what they had to work with. I often had to change up my workout routine because the benches were being hogged by the person using it and I used to spend a few hours there. Pretty clean. Staff was nice from my own minor interactions. No major issues with the members, some slight attitude from a member if asking about an item I need to use after her.
Really clean club, not too busy, friendly staff and enthusiastic instructors. Towel service would be nice but for a small location it's well maintained.
The worst place ever! I have never seen such a dirty place in Canada like this . Honestly! Washrooms are disgusting- always dirty and sticky. No paper . I think showers and change room have never been cleaned. Dust and hairs everywhere. Yoga mats have a bad smell . There is always a line at the reception and rude stuff in 50% cases . I highly recommend to find another GoodLife close by ! I would love The owner of GoodLife to come and see this place and see his reaction . ????♀️
Love my local all woman’s gym!! I just wish it was bigger. It’s comfortable and no need to worry when working out. ????️♀️
The "personal trainers" look like they need more personal training. The place smells bad from the moment you walk in. It's not as unbearable after the first 30 minutes of being there '_'
Great little location. Fair variety of exercise equipment available, but still doesnt have everything that I like. My best friend is with another gym, out in Brampton, that has A LOT more stuff available and an amazing locker/bath room area and only has to pay $20 a month. My membership is nearly $60 a month for this GoodLife location, with less stuff anf the personal training is wicked expensive and not very flexible. I also notice that staff dont stay for too long either. But if you have the money (memberships range from $60-75 a month) and live in the area, it IS worth it. The staff there are pretty great and very helpful also.
Over priced.... guess this is why they made fit4less though....
I wish they open longer time on Friday night and during the weekends. We are busy during weekdays and only have spare time at weekends then the club closes at 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday!
Not very professional
A review written two years ago is still very much correct. There is a group of women that come to this gym that think because they are reg. it's okay to kick someone out of the spot they've been in since the start of the close. Weights are left laying around the gym along with mats not one staff memember seems to care. I good go to another goodlife but this is the closet all women one to me.
Girls are lovely. New massage machines! Crazy challenges classes. But, no towels and the gym need a thorough cleaning.
i live close to here and why cant this gym be unisex???? it sucks being a man
REALLY HATE that the gym only opens till 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. It is always busy and I wish they had an incline leg press. It's the only machine that really helps to support lower back and really work the legs.
Really bad customer service, manager really rude when I went to cancel.
Small but my son loves rhe child mimding service. It gets the job done.
I live 10 minute walk away from this club. Staff are o.k Gym is clean. I love that they are women only. Never liked unisex gyms. Couple machines broken for a few weeks now. Busy at times , sometimes you go in. Have to wait for a tredmill, or bike to become available. Overall gym is not too bad.
Please put the "women only" in the very title, so us, men, dont waste gas coming there. Thank you.
Not sure why but seems like all women’s gyms are small and I don’t understand why they don’t offer towel service... at least the workers are nice girls
Great gym
New shop
I gave it 3 stars because some of 5he ladies there r so rude. There not helpful and if u need help they answer your questions with a snappy voice. Like u r bothering them. I live this gym and there is daycare. And only women. And it doesn't get to busy so it's relaxing to work out
It's ideal .... good personal trainer
This gym and particularly the group fitness room is EXTREMELY SMALL for how busy the location is to the point that it can be quiet dangerous during classes. Good life, I implore you to please do something about the size of the group fitness room as it needs to be at least twice it's current size to accommodate the class size. Another annoying thing is the fact that there is no towel service even though I paid for it through my corporate membership. If I paid for a service, shouldn't I get the service I paid for?
Really packed at times. The let women leave stuff in lockers so sometimes there are no lockers available which is ridiculous. Other gyms snap locks off if people don't take their stuff at the end of the night. Most staff give dirty looks and b**ch face.
One of the smallest locations around. Groups classes get very crowded. Some training staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, but not consistent. Desk staff also not consistent with customer service. Would rather drive 15 min to Vaughn then come here.
Smaller gym good for in and out but often very busy
My home.
small with limited numbers of machines and weights but great energy, nice place and friendly relaxed staff !
Good gym.
I enjoy this gym however I wish it had more space in generally (washrooms, etc). This location easily gets packed unfortunately. Love that it's an 'only women' location however( one of the main reasons why I do return time after time again ).
Rude and excessive Non-men environment. The centre is for woman's only (i get it) but is 2017, c'mon!. The fact you were and ask for information and make you wait outside the door for minutes, like you were on a FBI inspection is too much, the lack of empathy of the STAFF is a big turn off too.
Everyone is always really friendly and their personal trainer Kim is really great
The child minding space here needs to be updated but the staff are very helpful and the machines are being updated
Closest Goodlife location to me. I prefer all women's gyms so it's convenient that it's near my house. I've been going to this location for 4 years. The staff before were extremely rude and arrogant. I had a consultation with one of the trainers (who does not work there anymore) and she was completely judgemental and insensitive to my goals and habits at the time. After the appointment, I started going to the location on Toronto St because she actually hurt my feelings. After about 8 months of going to the other location, I decided to step into this location again. I noticed a whole new team of staff and several new personal trainers. So far they seem alright... I tried two of the classes and they were ok in terms of difficulty level. Some of the women participating can be quite nasty though... Basically, if you're not a regular in the class then you'll most likely get some cut eyes and rude remarks... The gym itself is quite small and does not have a lot of options in terms of weight training. It gets really hard to workout when there are 5 personal trainers with their clients hogging the free weights area. I usually go mid-afternoon which i find is the best time to go. The washrooms smell absolutely terrible. Other than the things mentioned above, it's an OK gym (now that the rude staff has left). It's sufficient enough for me to get my workout in. Goodlife needs to make more all women's locations however.
Really bad customer service, manager really rude. Not very helpful...
As previous reviewers have stated, the rudeness from the women that come to this location is unreal. Arriving early for a Zumba class recently, I stood toward the back of the room when suddenly, a lady approaches me, points to the ground and tells me that I am in her spot and need to move! Instead of arguing with her I moved further back until I was against the wall since the class was overcrowded. The amount of snobby and miserable faces in this place is unsettling. You don't have look that upset to go for a workout. Other GoodLife locations have been far better in my opinion.
Good gym. Clean also. Very clean and then u can shop. Brilliant
Horrible they charge even with you put it on hold
Horrible wish there was a way to give it -minus 1 5stars
i love classes! good ambiance
It's all great for the services they offer. Women's only gym. Price is generally on the upscale side but that's how Goodlife is. The only other thing they screw you over is cancellation policies. The rules change every year, freezes are just one way of delaying what you owe them. Just save yourself the trouble to finish the contract. NEVER CANCEL A CONTRACT, GOODLIFE WILL DEFINITELY MAKE YOU REGRET IT! I had to pay almost 3-4months worth of fees for that.
It's the closest gym to me but gender specific gyms or services hurts clients and businesses. I can't work out with my partner or by myself.
It's a good fitness for women, staff are nice but the price for the location amd the size of the gym is too high.
Location is very small, regular hours don't make sense (would benefit from staying open longer on weekends), but you can always do grocery shopping after working out! Or buy hairties cause you forgot yours.
Showed up and was informed that this was a "woman only" gym. I informed them at the front desk that I identified as a woman who does not traditionally look like one and was still refused service. Absolutely outrageous, I will be contacting the human rights tribunal about this injustice.
I have been a member with goodlife for 4 months now. I live in an area where I have access to 4 goodlife facilities in the vicinity , but have ONLY been attending this location @ 401 & Weston (1 of the 4). I am not a beginner when it comes to the gym or working out, but by NO MEANS am I advanced at working out either! (lol) I find this location & the amenities sufficient enough for working out. It is a smaller facility with equipment or 'stations' situated closely to eachother, but I don't find an issue with having enough space to complete my routine and rarely had an instance where I couldn't get a machine I wanted to use. stand up and lay down tanning makes this location a bonus for me :) (included in the ultimate membership deal which is $32 bi weekly)
Classes Fantastic and great staff:) :)
love it
Good neighbourhood place to go work out
This gym is nowhere near the level of the other locations. It is in pretty bad shape. The speakers in the group fitness class are the worst.
I know you great and convenient all womens location. Just did a drop in class and it was good
I have been coming to this gym since 2015 I like the location the employees and trainers are always very nice to me, I also enjoy working out with the same group of people every morning over the years it's always nice to see familiar positive smiling faces, lovely women. Making the right Connections in life is very important and I have found some great connections with women through this gym.
Women's only gym. They have lots of classes and equipment to work out. The change room is pretty big and has private changing areas as well.
This GoodLife location is tucked inside The Real Canadian Superstore. You need to head upstairs to the 2nd floor in order to find them. Once in, they have a small amount of equipment on the floor. I actually needed a towel for my sweat and my shower but they do not provide any. It was disappointing. I have to work out at different locations.
I go to this location pretty regularly, at least I used to. Don't think I've ever exchanged words with any of the staff working there, although there was a point in time where I went to this gym 5 times a week. All in all, the place is small, not well taken care of, smells to high heavens, and is just an unpleasant workout environment. The girl who does the Bodypump classes is good though. Really, GoodLife as a whole is a pretty shameful establishment and I'll be ditching my membership ASAP.
Expensive and most of their equipment broke
Small with limited services but instructors are awesome.
This place has pros and cons. Pros: - Many classes to choose from - Very good instructors - Staff is very good too - Some improvements: new floors and bars in the Studio - Location Cons: - Any complaint will be ignored by the manager - The Studio is really hot in Summer, every year the same. No AC - It is not clean often, like hair on the floor flying and accumulated in corner (especially in the Studio), showers smell really bad - It is busy - It is mandatory to show your id to access the gym or you must take a picture. Weird! I've being in other GL and this is not happening.
Staff is amazing and everything is here to get your workout done. One complaint I have is that the mirrors in front of the squat racks and free weight section don’t extend very far. It’s impossible for more than 2 people to workout in front of the free weight area. Also, there are only 2 benches available for the whole gym - one that stays flat and one that you can adjust. Most of the time the benches are used by people in the squat rack area but people not using squat racks need benches too. My 2 recommendations would be to extend the mirror length and add more benches.
Too crowded,
Only for women which sucks
Pretty decent gym. A bit small in size, but I never have to wait too long for a machine. Wish they had more free weights
love it; women's only gym so my mom feels more comfortable and is more willing to go to this gym. It's a little small but that's expected given that it's above the SuperCentre. The staff are great, and I love the classes
Men not allowed. Like at all.
Slightly depressing but good
Equipment good. Varied amenities.
Worst Goodlife location I've been to. I've worked for Goodlife for years and have been to a lot of locations. This location has bad service. The receptionists are nice/friendly, but the personal training staff are stuck up and rude. They never smile. This isn't a competition, we all want to be healthy! The child care lady is rude too, my kids don't like her. The members aren't the greatest either, miserable gym, I avoid this place at all costs.
Great
This gym used to be the best a couple of years ago. Now management sucks, trainers hired here talking about chocolate chip cookies and pastries while with their clients, can’t even listen to your own music in the studio room using the stereo when there is no class happening. Near the evening, the women are more catty and vicious for no reason, time to move to another gym location.
No towels.
Love going here but it's a small space, needs renovations and towel service.
I visited this gym a while back (but sometime in 2018). I remember feeling disrespected by the staff at this location. Please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. The facility isn't so bad, but some of the people running this place are the kind you want to avoid. :/
Expensive
Classes and environment encouraging
I really wish the gym was open later than 3pm on weekends, it would be really helpful to those of us that work the AM on weekends. Other than that the staff was super nice always saying Hi and bye everytime i come to the gym.
About me: I primarily strength train with some cardio. I signed up with the no contract option and first 1 month free promotion. The no contract option comes out to $36 a month ($18 billed biweekly) plus the $180 sign up fee. Despite what the manager says, both options come out to be the same price for the first year of membership, I personally prefer to not be on contract. I am new but here is my experience so far: - Pros: Women only, clean, no weird smells, members are nice and very diverse, staff are nice, convenient location in grocery store, very safe building and surroundings, includes tanning/sauna/group exercise in membership, easily reachable for pedestrians, private location on upper level of superstore, convenient lounge area outside of entrance with microwave and tables. - Cons: Typical gym pressure to become a member immediately. The manager was a bit pushy when I came in for a tour and 1 week trial. She gave me a bunch of reason I should sign up RIGHT THAT MINUTE. I really don’t appreciate being pressured into anything. Small space (but looks to contain all the necessary equipment, just spaced more closely together, so not a big issue). Shower water pressure is very low, no towels provided, buttons on sauna panel are worn down and a little difficult to press. Hours are very disappointing, I'm accustomed to gyms with greater open and close times.
No towels
Good place to work out, women's only so there's no creepy old men. I feel comfortable working out here, showers are clean.
Why is this women only gym!! This location is perfect for me but no men allowed this is discrimination
This is not my usual gym. I've been to many Goodlife Fitness Gyms and was trained by two trainers within the past two years. I was working out this afternoon and overheard a trainer with her client talking condescendingly about other women working out in the gym. Although many people were oblivious and couldn't care less what she was saying, I was so appalled at her unprofessionalism and attitude. Yes, I understand that some people may not know how to use machines with proper form. But that doesn't give you any right to put other people down, judge women, and comment on someone's exercises to their client! How ridiculous.
Quite a small space, and terrible weekend hours. However the place is clean and staff are friendly.
Deducting two stars because the staff is not very friendly and helpful. The gym equipment however, is all great.
Small but clean, good place to workout.
I love this place, staff, and friendly members. Definitely I'll be coming to this location.
I love Goodlife as it is one of the best places to workout in. The equipments, the staff, and the classes are excellent. In exception to this this location. Washroom is dirty and it smells. Staff are unfriendly and if they do try to be friendly, no eye contact is ever made. I think there is a room for improvement here that will definitely help members. With class instructors, some are great and some are just awful. I cannot feel but sorry to those new to the classes as instructors put them at risk of injuring the class members. No one goes to the gym and comes out being injured. Defeats the whole purpose. What do instructors do? They over inflate the music so that no one hears their instructions thus placing participants at a higher risk for injury. This is ridiculous. Mostly, they forget their choreography and compensate for it in an unsafe way. This I cannot understand. It almost takes the FUN out of attending a class. Convenience. Great place for mothers. So, if you are looking into finding a day care while you do your shopping, I guess this location is good for that purpose.
Whoever was at the front desk is horrid, the place is tiny and there's a nasty stench but I did a consult with a personal trainer by the name of Helen who was most helpful and understanding.
I love it❤
I just had the worst experience talking to Customer Service representatives - they don't care, they know they're a giant in this business, so they don't care about their customers. HUGE RIP OFF. I am cancelling my membership and other 3 family memberships. I strongly suggest to think twice before signing ANYTHING AT ALL with them! Horrible service, stinky yoga mats that they won't replace - the most expensive gym in the city and totally not worth it.
when i visit my cousin the west end, this place is along the way and convenient. womens only option is a safe option for ladies who feel of a minority. its often busy during the week, not the weekend. they dont have a towel service.
I have been doing my workouts at this location for over 2 years. When I started the hours were different (longer hours). Now it closes at 8pm on Fridays which is so frustrating because I can't never get there before it closes. The hours on weekends have changed too and now we have less hours. The gym is very small which I knew about it but it makes no sense opening for less hours right? It's just going to make it more crowded.
I used to love going to GoodLife fitness. I have had a memebership for many years. I cancelled my membership last year due to the customer service at this particular location being so terrible. I found the girls at the front desk to be particularly rude and very ignorant about their procedures. They get very defensive if you have any questions and their manager Dina supports this behaviour. I have seen them mistreat and condescend their customers before. It wasn't a behaviour that I can tolerate. I don't think this behaviour is a reflection of the entire company. I just think the employees at this location need to be trained on customer service, communication skills and basic human decency. I don't recommend this location unless you have thick skin. Good luck. Thanks.
Very minimal equipment. Only one squat rack and one bench, and trainers are not very friendly
Great Trainers
It's okay!! The clean up service after using equipments is a really smart way to keep everything sanitary.I think it would have been better if the teens who get an opportunity to come In for free for the summer, can come in passed 4pm. Some of the teen work in morning or even have summer school so extending the hours would make everything better.
