Are you looking for a perfect gym? Sorry! You won’t find one! But what you will find at Crunch is very affordable fitness for everyone! During covid I quit my other gym and found Crunch to be substantially more spacious with a lot more equipment. And a lot less expensive too. No more wait times for machines and more space to change in. However, the ladies change room layout was confusing at first. It cracked me up trying to figure my way out of there. I also like that there is so much light at Crunch being on one floor. I don’t know all the staff but the ones I’ve met, so far so good. I’m there to get fit. Period. If you are too, then Crunch is for you.

Paid for the membership to include the sauna and televisions. A year later and still nothing. Equipment options are great, daycare is great and staff are great. Machines could use industry standard cleaning at least once a month however. The stair masters are harboring DNA of 1000 people.

I joined this gym few days ago and getting daily harassment by staff don't do this and that Don't trust what they are saying on front desk when you going to join First get confirmation what they are saying is that true or not otherwise you will get harassment every day Today i complained about this to the manager but she wasn't interested in complaints she listened to me few minutes and run away because she was in hurry.

I’m not the type of person to leave a negative review, but after countless of interactions with this location I think it is only fair for people to know not to come to this location. After many attempts to call the gym they never answer the phone even though the workers are at the desk. I walked into the gym today to cancel my membership and the lady at the desk was not welcoming at all. After I said hello she didn’t respond so I continued to tell her I want to cancel my membership, still ignored me. She Walked away and grabbed the manager Sue Smith. She was very unprofessional asking if I had emailed her to do it because they can’t do anything in person and there’s nothing they can do. She did not say it in a professional manner, she was very rude, and I have even emailed her previous about no one answering the phone and she was unprofessional then as well. I went home and emailed her and she emailed back stating that I needed to go to my home gym to cancel meanwhile she told me there was nothing they could do in person. They don’t know how to communicate and do it very poorly. My mom as well tried to cancel her membership a while back and they still took payments out of her account and said she would get a refund and it has been months since then and nothing has been refunded. All of the negative reviews about this place and her are true. I will not be returning to this gym due to the way they make me feel every time I try to contact them about an issue I’m having.

Overcrowded, machines are broken half the time. Tanning rooms are filthy. There's a lot of equipment but if you plan on using it go really early in the morning when there's hardly anyone in there.

Worst customer service ever. Promise a refund and never got it. Never got a chance to use the gym since the shutdown and kept taking my money. They never answered their phone to cancel my membership. I will never step a foot in the gym with how they treat people.

I like it , basic clean gym. Hydromassage bed is amazing. Unlimited tanning if you get the VIP package is great. Plus with VIP you can bring someone to work out with you who does not have a membership. Basket ball course classes. Very busy at 5 o'clock wow! I would recommend checking it out.

Like the staff, everybody is kool there especially NeNette and Josh and Vu. I would love to see another stair-master machine, its a main attraction. People are friendly and kind. Also I would love to see the shower curtains replaced more frequently, just to keep up with the overall cleanliness.

I left my wallet there yesterday after working out. I was given a call about my wallet before I got home! When I went to pick it up, there was no problems. Everything was still in it. Cash, credit cards, OHIP, Driver’s license, etc… It is nice to know the character of the staff is so great. That is worth more than anything. I look forward to getting there as often s possible. Great gym, great price, great staff!

The worst customer service ever. Every single person in the reception area is real bad. The Gym is less expensive, I admit but I was expecting a better service. I haven't experienced such bad customer service in Canada. Canada is known for nice people. Please don't ever join this gym. Even the University Gym is better than here.

Great gym, but they could really work on machine maintenance. Every nut on any machine that is used for adjusting weights or angle always comes loose since day one. Use some Teflon tape or lock tight! It's small things like this that make a gym less appealing.

The staff have been unprofessional on several occasions and high turn over of them. The class times aren't optimal for working people and in the women's area during busy after-work times, it's hit or miss whether you'll get to use the weights you need; there's only 1 set of free-weights. That area doesn't have enough mats, and no stair master. One of the 4 stair masters in the main gym room is usually broken and so that only leaves 3 to be used - hard to get one after work. It's a great price, but as they say, you get what you pay for.

The gym was nice enough, loved the variety of classes there were which is why I stayed so long but the customer service is absolutely garbage. I’ve tried emailing multiple times, reaching out on Facebook messenger, and calling, and never got any luck with getting responses further than “I’m sorry you’re having trouble”.

They let you have a trail where you can go and test the place out before deciding to get a membership. You might want to bring your own music.

Since being back after the closure because of the pandemic,the staff have been extra attentive to the cleanliness. I was quite nervous going back but I am glad that I took the chance and went in. All the machines r properly distanced so the members can stay safe. Ty Crunch!!!!!

Very nice owner. Very nice young workers. Do a fantastic job cleaning the machines and making sure people are wearing masks. I went to Goodlife. They don't care Extremely terrible customer service. No welcome hi. No smile. Always miserable!!!! The main guy allows people after hours. Atleast this gym is clean. Lots of spray bottles. Good service. I'd highly recommend. Ya it doesn't have a pool or sauna. But it's cool. Look at the prices. Can't beat it! Unlike some other gyms charging 70 a month which is terrible. But ya I'd highly recommend it!

Good luck canceling a membership. Cancelled a year ago because we didn't have the time to drive out. One year later, after the cancellation, my husband got hit with an extra year's worth of fees. When he tried to speak to a manager about it he got told that it was because he canceled to late and he would just have to pay. How does a company justify charging a client when 3 months notice was given for cancelation, documents were signed, and the account balance was 0? Oh, and surprise, surprise.... a few days later I get a notice via email that I owe a year's worth of fees. I've already tried calling head office but no one answers the phones. Guess it's a trip to the gym to get proof that all the fees were incurred while the memberships were active, then a complaint with the BBB and FTC.

I took advantage of their free day pass in December and fell in love. Signed up as soon as I got home. Clean gym and locker room. Plenty of cardio machines, free weights, and dumbbells. The activity room has a great floor to run on, and the one class I've been to so far was a good challenge (and I used to do extreme boot camp classes) and when there isn't a class, you can use the room fo other stuff (stretching in my case). I haven't taken advantage of everything this gym has to offer yet, but so far I'm really happy. The women's section could use some improvement, but I don't really use it. After being a member for a while, I think the customer service and communication needs improvement.

UPDATE Oct 21 2020*** it was 2 months since I've canceled my membership and they still charged me with $30 in my credit card.*** This gym it's a nightmare I went to cancel my membership due to the risk of SARS Cov-2, and they started charging me with fees out of nowhere. They were closed for months. I don't understand. Crunch should be happy there are people still coming in...bad service.

Terrible place canceled membership after they reopened for a week after month's of being closed and charged me for a month. Once I noticed this I canceled my membership only to be told I would be charged for an extra month. I told them that was unacceptable and after canceling they charged me again for late payment after refusing to pay the additional month $91 charge in all. Terrible place, service and company.

Have been going here for past five years and facility has always been consistent in its cleanliness, the services available, and equipment maintenance. A very airy space with lots of room. The large windows in the morning let in a lot of light and it doesn't feel like so cavernous like other gyms in the city. Pre Covid there was lots of room and equipment for many to use. The TRX station in the middle is nice for functional work. Apparently pre Covid there was also talk about a HIIT station and turf area replacing the TRX station. I was patiently waiting for it to arrive as it seemed to be more advanced and multipurpose but I wouldn't be surprised if it's delayed further or cancelled now due to the pandemic. A lot of these recent reviews are written to imply that it's the employees at this location that dictate the capacity. Should remember that it's the government that dictates the capacity limits and therefore out of the control of the employees. I can understand people's issues with the booking system because the interface is slow and less than ideal. However, after going through my own frustration the first week of not being able to book a slot I developed a strategy to get one and have been able to attend 4-5x a week since then. The way that I've found works is to set an alarm on your phone for a few minutes before the hour you're looking to book, that way you're ready because you only have about sixty seconds before the slot time is full. I log into the website and keep myself active on it by hopping between different pages like profile, classes etc. As soon as the hour changes over I go to the classes page again (don't refresh) and book my slot. Hope that can help those who are struggling.

Spend your money elsewhere and reward good business practices, not misleading marketing. Shady practices all around. With the hidden fees and bs the prices are comparable to much better alternatives year over year. Don't let the $9.95 fool you, it is nonsense. And good luck trying to cancel your membership without getting your eyes gouged out. Reading the reviews of people who actually describe their experience shows that this is a common occurrence (especially during the covid shut down). Been around since it was world gym, new ownership arguably has made things worse. Corners cut whenever possible, little attention to maintenance. The space is very small compared to most facilities and you'll have trouble getting the equipment you need. The staff does the absolute bare minimum at all hours of the day and do not answer the phone as others have mentioned. They also have inexplicably reduced hours compared to every other gym in town (even before covid). I made my situation clear to the employee but they did nothing to prevent me getting hit with excessive fees when I signed up for a short term membership. At least the employee I dealt with last was honest with me about the impossibility of resolving the situation and the apathetic attitude that persists within the company. "You could try to contact the regional manager, but honestly man, I highly doubt that'll do anything, sorry." Don't make the same mistakes I have.

Formerly a member of Planet Fitness for 10 years in Michigan. Crunch has more modern machines, layout is spacious-not crowding machines. Larger cleaner restrooms, childcare, separate women only section-all things PF didnt have. Trainers well trained and fun. Front desk staff welcoming for the most part. Other feedback-ladies restroom toilet seats not properly attached. Young man(manager?) at desk most days doesn’t usually speak or acknowledge arrival and departure of many people. Best overall gym of the 4 I have been a member of over the past 30 years

UPDATE (2021): This gym enforces the communist vaccine passport, regardless of the Ontario Human Rights Code. The manager is a very rude lady who started angrily speaking to me in a demeaning tone, demanding that I provide personal medical information. Once I asserted my rights and said "no," she asked me to leave the gym, and I complied. My opinion of this gym has dropped from 5 stars to zero stars. They refused me entry/service even though I am a paying member of the gym, paying a monthly membership. I hope that Crunch looks back at this in the future as a dark time with poor decisions being made all around and that they change for the better. I'll likely be cancelling my membership with them unless they start accepting "vaccine passport" exemptions. My Former Review: Hands down best gym in Windsor. I highly recommend this gym to anyone I know. Brand new equipment, friendly staff, machines are always available, and I just love it. It even has a fresh smell when you walk in.

I have been a member at Crunch for 3 years at the Lauzon location in Windsor. The staff have always been supportive in their attempt to keep the gym an enjoyable and a safe place to exercise and relieve stress. Covid has certainly made it a challenge for all health clubs. Health Unit guidelines are put in place to keep members safe. I believe the staff at Crunch has remained positive throughout this learning curve, work hard to keep the facility clean and sanitized and provide an excellent outlet for clients to workout in a safe environment. Lets all work together to wear our masks and sanitize the equipment to keep the gym open and keep us all happy and healthy.

I have a mixed review about this place. So it started off great. I had kickoff session with Matt and it went great and it was discussed that he will continue with my training. However, after that session Matt started avoiding me for 1.5 MONTH. Everyday I went to staff and they were extremely rude and not helpful at all. One day I was again asking for Matt and I saw him going in the room, the staff told me he’s in restroom and to leave a message( like I didn’t a thousand times; also he never got back to even one of them). That day I cried in car because I wanted to start my training right away and this unprofessional behavior was extremely hurtful. I somehow got in contact with SUE, regional manager and SHE IS THE BEST! Whatever is written about her is probably wrong because she not only helped me but she got me THE BEST TRAINER I could ask for. She was so nice and polite and she got me connected with LAURA. I’m still training with Laura and I couldn’t be more thankful. I won’t recommend Matt to anyone as he’s extremely arrogant and mean, also the staff needs to be way more polite and welcoming. I would highly recommend Laura. She’s the best trainer in the world no doubt!

Cancelled. They don't have much to offer. Not very clean floors I feel when using the mat to do planks or abdominal work outs I'm breathing in dust or debris from the floor. I forgot my water bottle and tried their water fountain doesn't have any water pressure to drink from. The gym isn't well ventilated. They do however have a lot of machines; the machines are sectioned and is very open concept. They lack equipment like medicine balls, bosu balls and limited cable cords. The TV placement isn't realistic they're too high so your neck would be hyperextended back while doing cardio... 'neck ache' The walls are very poor quality (dry wall) and have holes in the separate (laminate floor) room. Lastly, they advertise that it's only $9.99 per month but they make you pay in both months of March and September a $19.99+tax fee on additional to your $9.99 membership to secure your gym fee and to cancel you have to give 60 days notice which requires you to pay another 2 months even after 1 year membership; when they claim there is no cancellation fee after a year of membership (tricky word play). Their hours continuously have changed since signed up. They advertised they were 24h but close early Friday to Sunday.

Upon reopening, Crunch Fitness has created and maintained a safe and healthy space. Every guest sanitizes hands upon entrance and carries disinfectant with them to each machine, wiping before and after use. Staff is friendly like always. So happy they are open again ???? Only thing I would say is they do need more stair masters. Only two are available for use and one of them doesn’t even work.

DO NOT go to these gym . After they allowed for the reopening they never give us notice or anything and keep charging us for monthly fee . We have try to talk to them many time and they try to get away everytime . Even we came to the gym and cancel the membeship for both of us then 30 days later we still got another charge . I call them again they blame on the system then says that they are going to refund . Till now i have not received any thing yet .

After the shutdown and after they opened up I got a bill saying a owe them 112.82$ plus additional fees... haven’t used their gym since March. I’m not paying for an inconvenience, and I’m never going back to their gym again. Fit for less and good life out-do this gym by 10 fold. At least be on par with those gyms before you put that crazy thought in your heads trying to charge me for the 4 -5 months you were closed...lol Sincerely, never using your facility again

Since joining the gym every single time I go use the toilet there is a very very strong urine smell. When I complained to staff they said they are aware and said that there wasn't anything planned to repair the issue because it was a larger project that the owner is aware of. If I want action to contact her thru the email provided. Also they let me know I wasn't the only one who had this complaint. Not sanitary if you ask me.

Probably the worst gym I've been too across multiple cities. Gave it a second chance after the owner filed for bankruptcy and reopened under a different name. All they did was paint it purple instead of red. If you are a woman and like to lift free weights the women's side has little to no room not does it have mirrors to correct your posture. If you try to use the coed part of the gym you get to battle muscle heads that literally lift weights overtop of you, never had that happen at any other gym before. There are zero tvs in any cardio area. If you want to run on the treadmill on the women's side then you better like looking at a wall because the machines force you to look at a blank grey wass a foot from your face. Feedback has been submitted by ALOT of women just for us to get mirrors in the women's side for the last 2+ years that I have been there. There have been no improvements in the gym in this time.

The Womens area NEEDS mirrors for form when lifting...also need at least one stairmaster in there..co-ed section is stuffy..the gym is semi-clean..ceilings are always dusty same with the floors...before you start on a machine make sure you clean it..the gym staff only really seem to just up keep the laundry and filling the sanitizer spray bottles lol.

i was trying to have a member ship i asked them if i can pay one year in advance or give a 12 posted cheques but they refused !!!!! so I don't think the monthly payment will be 9.95 a month just be careful

most gyms would understand that customers don't feel safe coming back. There job is to make you feel safe to want you to come back. So why would they still charge customers for maintenance fees when the gym was closed for 5 months. Did we all just pay for a closed gym. Good for crunch taking customers money during a pandemic. They should not charge customers for this year since we're all in this together. But not crunch. They have to steel our money during a pandemic. Shame on them. They need to refund all there customers back for maintenance fees when the gym was closed. You would think they build relationship with customers and understand the time were going threw. But yet there taking customers money for being closed. Let's see how many customers were charged mantaince fees for a closed gym, with half they year gone.

Matt who works front desk is extremely courteous. He represents the gym well with his professionalism and promotes physical activity as well as a healthy life style. Sue, the manager on the other hand, gets the job done quickly and efficiently. I needed a detail corrected on my contract, she promptly contacted head office and made the proper changes happen right in front of me! Thank you again for the great service!

The person in the lobby was terrible and treat me with lack of respect. First, she was in her cellphone attending personal phone calls so she didn’t pay attention to me for a while, then She was extremely rude and yelling because I needed her help and she didn’t want to help. Terrible staff.

Very clean! I work out here 4 days a week. The staff are amazing, and so is everyone who trains here! Everyone gets their own disinfectant bottle when coming in. Great energy inside of Crunch Fitness!

This gyms' patrons and staff are very friendly, and there is never an issue in getting the equipment you need. Most machines are kept up well, with very little downtime. The classes I attended were well done, and all the instructors did a good job keeping the energy high, and helping some of the newer members with their form. It was unfortunate that the basketball nets had to be removed, due to some patrons lack of consideration and care. Overall, it is an excellent value for the membership price.

My membership was frozen during COVID19 however payments still occurred out of my account during the freezing timeline. I relocated countries and asked to cancel my membership and was told I had to come into the home gym to do so, which I could not do since I was out of country. They kept taking money out of my account after saying they would cancel it. I finally closed the bank account and they are not harassing me for $24.00 in order to cancel my account. Emailed Sue Smith the situation and was told I had to pay up before cancelling. Honestly, avoid this gym completely. Good Life fitness is more money but has far better customer service without the crazy hassle of cancelling and the surprise fees involved. The fact that they are so desperate for $24.00 is sad. Do not recommend.

I WISH IT HAS THE OPTION TO RATE. NEGATIVE 10 STARS. Hi there, your Windsor Ontario location is a scam, I signed up and paid member fee of $89.50 on OCT/NOV. 2015. Gym opening date was supposed to be sometimes in January 2016, then I received email saying opening day in March 2016, then April came & gone gym still not ready. Then no more dates as to when gym will open. Gym opens in July 2016 then statrted to recieve bullying phone calls from the gym regarding payment!! The audacity the nerve to call and ask for more money SCAM/theft way to start. Now I am receiving bullying phone call from collection agency. Well let me tell you something Mr. Scoundrel Wes Hodgson this is not the wild west or the blood money countries. I will be posting my message on YouTube, snap chat, Twitter, whats app and more. You need to refund my joining fee of $89.50 cash or cheque. It's not the way to start a business unless you are a "FRAUD SCAMMER". Wes Hodgson I hope this msg finds you and finds you not well. Can't wish you a happy New year because the stress you your stupid employees/company had cause me.
