Great facilities and gym equipment, clean and organized, gym seems to be overstaffed if that even makes sense. My workouts are self guided and have been working out my whole life but the support is there if you need it. I love their pool as the water is always a good temperature for me and it does not smell and my skin does not feel wrecked after.

I attended this facility because my wife's geriatric doctor is in this building. She had an appointment. That was our only reason for going here today. On the walk in the building we passed exercise rooms and empty spaces galore. There were very few patrons in this facility. The Covid factor is present which accounts for the poor attendance. Had that not been happening this would be very lively indeed! This is a good complex with plenty of space for large gatherings. My wife has the slowly progressive condition know as Alzheimer's. We take it day by day, hand in hand and with many huggs. I spell it this way. It has two g's. One for me and one for you. Much Love.

Nice and modern, but more expensive than some private gyms and the pool deck can be dirty. Customer service or staff "friendliness" is hit and miss. I'd say 50/50

Truly top notch facility that has been a staple and heart of West Vancouver for years. It's the heart of all sporting activity and bustling from 5:30 in the morning until late at night. It's got a brilliant atrium and giant TV screen for waiting parents that want to catch the hockey game or otherwise.

I agree with a couple of people; lovely facility... pool, gym, sauna spin & yoga, squash, skating rink (and always busy), BUT, some of the staff can be RUDE. I guess they don't care for repeat customers LOL.

Ladies who lift free weights - this is a great gym! Obviously they have tons for men. However this gym has gone out of their way to ensure we are fully taken care of as well. Great range of free weights as well as benches for our size too. Highly recommend ????

It is an excellent facility, access to Gym, swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna. Ice rings, and related with karate yoga, dance, swimming classes, basketball, youth centre, almost everything for everybody, it is very active community centre and always something going on. If you have family and looking for any activity just go there I am sure something is for you. It is adding a lot of value to our community and operating very friendly, hard worker crew members. It is a real pleasure to spend time there.

I love the Community Center and the pool. The family change room is terrible... I have seem 3x some weird things there (like a man naked in the family room!) I told the front desk but they do not care. Also, they renovated all the change room but I DO NOT SEE ANY DIFFERENCE! They are also very dirty. The pool got some new items but they do not work. When I asked the life guard why they never turn it on he told me: "it came broken". They usually close the pool... the change rooms for renovations but they do not do anything. Bad management. The community is beautiful and could be much better if they had managers doing things there and not just sitting and change things for another that do not work.

its a big place combined with other facilities. recreational area, for seniors for babies theres a health service. we came here today monday nov 26.2019 cause my girlfriend is pregnant and here for diabetes test and seeing a specialist. theres also a swimming pool on left side. you can check the google maps what besides this place. i like how this place have big areas. for services and people its ok since its my first time here. just a question why this place on Google dont have any pictures. and rating is low. just weird. by the way lots of old peps are living here. like a lot we came here 9am and on bus and on the centre. i guess thats all for now. i got some pics and put comments on it

Run by morons. They add and delete programs in a whim and come up with excuses. Mens swim change rooms were just updated (filty) and the lockers are still in poor condition.

The building is really nice and the service is great. My review is for their weight room / gym, as there is no separate entity for it on Google Maps. I've been dropping in for a while now and the experience is rather poor compared to fully featured gyms for a similar price. The cardio machines are nice and the views are nice. I came here for the weights, and sadly, the place is just too tiny with way too little equipment. Most of the time the stations are simply occupied. What is usually a 45 minute workout for me lasts over an hour due to the wait time. Coming here three times per week, it adds up and makes for a somewhat frustrating experience over time. Coming before closing doesn't help since they close early - at 10PM, so it is still crowded then. Another problem is with the changing room. It is shared with the swimming pool with all the sights and wetness included. Most of the time there is no space to sit down to change, which combined with the wetness, means that 100% of the times I worked out wearing wet socks. Most of all, leaving your belongings there costs 25cents each time. If you dont pay, you wont be able to lock your belongings!! The process of obtaining the tokens to get the key is also overcomplicated. I really wanted to like this weight room due to the convenient location, but sadly it is not an experience comparable to full fledged gyms, even if it costs almost as much. A gym experience is supposed to be as troublesome as possible, to make it easier and less demotivating to stick to a given routine. If this was a place I discovered when I first started workig out, I feel like I would get quickly discouraged. +1 star for the awesome Bon Jovi playlist.

The West Vancouver facility is beautiful and offers many amenities but they are not accessible to anyone who has a disability. The automatic doors have not worked since the summer of 2020 and the washrooms dedicated to handicapped individuals is always locked. We couldn’t find a facility person to unlock the bathroom doors.

The front desk refused to give me the student rate and said I could get that next time. Also they were way over cappacity and there was not a single treadmill open. The front desk lady was very rude and condescending. Im going to planet fitness next time since its 10 dollars a month and there is plenty of room.

I have been going here since it was built over 10 years ago. I don't go as often as before for a few reasons, outlined below. But first, the good! It is a beautiful facility, with high ceilings, lots of windows and great local artwork. I have taken aerobics, yoga, art, spin and aquatics classes here and aside from the aerobics (which I wouldn't do again) the classes are all good. The bright rooms with big windows make a difference in the winter. I took a star off because of the parking with is very limited I sometimes have to drive around up to three times before finding parking. Also the change rooms are ucky. They feel dirty and old. I hate using them, and only do so when I am going for a swim. Also, they make you buy a token each time you use them, as opposed to other community centres that take a quarter, but give it back when you return the key. The people who work there are hit and miss, but mostly helpful in my experiences and they such a small part of the experience.

This community centre does not provide handicapped access in its current state. The handicapped doors are all locked and the elevator that is supposed to bring you from the parkade into the facility is also closed. A lot of government money has been spent as well as private donations, to build this community centre and it is also home to the Vancouver Health Authority yet does not accommodate the handicapped. It’s quite hazardous to get to the facility from the parking lot with very uneven cobble stones making wheelchair use and handicapped aids impassable. It’s a bumpy and dangerous way to get to the facility and then the only door to access Vancouver Public Health’s Ambulatory Clinic, is a non handicapped door adjacent a concrete planter. This makes it hazardous for anyone using a mobility aid to enter or exit. Today a handicapped person was harassed by someone at the facility for using the driveway to get closer to the doors. Those is the driveway that one is directed to use for handicapped persons to gain access. The harassment was just horrible with this person yelling at the handicapped visitor and his aid about rules. The handicapped visitor was just following instructions for access provided by the management office. This is all unacceptable.
