You guys call yourself a judgement free zone but you discriminate against people with a certain body type and technique by calling them "lunks". Dropping weights is actually recommended for some exercises such as dumbbell bench press if you are going to fail the rep so you it doesn't land on you and grunting sometimes can't be avoided if you are going to failure. Not to mention having a literal air raid siren lunk alarm go off is infinitely more distracting than someone grunting because the entire gym will hear it whereas you can only discern weight drops or grunts if you are physically close to the person

It is an OK gym. Spacious with high ceilings. The weight area is a bit limited and small with not enough weights and benches. The cardio section is good with various different equipment. Cleanliness is very good.

I had an excellent time using this gym whilst I was living in North Van. They always keep the gym & equipment clean, with a positive attitude. Unfortunately I had to cancel my membership as I was moving to Coquitlam, but that staff made the process extremely easy without any hassle like other gyms. I'm sad to leave, but thank you North Van Planet Fitness team for making my experience a piece of cake!

It's a great facility to train with no stress. Staff are generally nice, with the exception of one or two people. I do wish the dumbbell went up too 100lbs instead of 75lbs (more options). Cardio machines are fantastic, and being hooked up to the TVs are a nice touch. I think one or two free weight barbells for chest and squat workouts should be in the facility but are not. I do appreciate the squat racks but free weight barbell engages core more. But overall, I enjoy it and I look forward to more of what the gym has to offer.

For the money it's ok. Equipment is kept well but don't rely on anyone keeping an eye on your progress. There's an app for that!

The price is the selling point. They could use heavier weights, and they are definitely compromising their square footage with a surplus of cardio machines. Not enough mirrors. It’s important to be able to watch your form when you’re doing stretches and body weight exercises. Also no weight scales isn’t that inconvenient, it’s just hilarious. Like are folks actually intimidated just by seeing a scale in the gym? No one is forcing you on it. Good enough space though.

Great place for a workout. Lots of equipment and friendly staff, but can get really crowded during peak hours. Some people do not bother cleaning equipment after use and the staff doesn't seem to enforce it. This is a big health concern. Please provide some sort of orientation session to new users.

Well Maintained and Cleaned often by the staff, Well Staffed and Staff are friendly and helpful. Great Gym and Great price. Free Water available to members unlike some other gyms. Massage Chair and Hydro Bed and Chairs are amazing as a PF Black Card member. Open 24 hours is very nice to have as well.

I had to cancel my membership as I haven't been to the gym in 6 months. My billing cycle was the 17th to the 16th of the following month. I cancelled on the 19th and but was forced to pay for the entire month remaining. Cometly absurd. Especially since we are all too tight financially these days. I will not be rejoining this gym.

Pros: - not crazy busy - lots of equipment Cons: - don't have proper squat racks - there is NO WEIGHT SCALE in the entire place because it is a "judgement free zone". I mean... seriously... what is the world coming to when a gym doesn't have one single scale for fear of causing people to feel bad about themselves. It boggles the mind. Why are we going to the gym in the first place?!

If all you need are some simple machines, weights and cardio, you can't beat the price. If you are hardcore or looking for specialized equipment, it's probably not for you. I do like the relaxed atmosphere - they really try to promote a judgement free space.

i just registered for a week, had really bad experience, must immediately cancelled the membership. in covid, i chose social distance, i did work out with my online personal training by face time. The lady worker at planet fitness came to me and said "I cannot using facetime, phone call during working out". why no notice banner, notice in agreement, no annoument before I registered? During working out, I used airpod, didnt affect to anyone else, no noisy or even didnt use machine for so long....

The staff have no clue about the tanning equipment, which is a safety hazard considering these beds are much stronger than those at Goodlife. Even though the client signs a waiver, the staff do have the responsibility to make sure that a fair skinned person will not be using it for 12 minutes. There are no mirrors in the tanning rooms. The exercise balls are all flat. There's only one leg press machine but at least 50 cardio machines. There are no spinning bikes. The heaviest medicine ball is 10lbs. The heaviest free barbell is 40lbs. If you want to make progress fitness wise, this is not the gym for you. It's pretty and purple but very beginner.

No body told me about the annual membership fee of $44.07 while signing up. When i called about this to planet fitness the staff who took the phone was not answering properly and when i said i have to cancel my account she said in a rude way to come here and cancel it.Totally disappointed my the staff's response. It is the worst gym I have ever been to. Its been hard for me to breathe while working with mask on. So i was wearing the masks only when i was moving to another machine not while working out. Few weeks later the staff named tuara came next to me and asked me wear mask when I was standing next to the machine But I saw 2 people not wearing masks even when they are moving around. So told her I can wear it when I am not working out and when I am moving around. Still she was not bothered about those guys. Is there any exceptional case in planet fitness for a bunch of people ? And she was telling me to sanitize my machine again when I was on my way to home after i finished my workout and sanitized the machine. when I refused it she was taking to me so rudly and canceled my membership. Worst staffs and worst gym ever. i have 5 friends who is going to this gym and they are going to cancel the membership soon as they had some similar cases before. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Nobody is wearing masks in the gym properly and the staff do not seem to care. The equipment is every other piece is our of order and on the cardio equipment sometimes 2 in a row for social fitnessing which is a pain when it is busy.

It's great for the money, but that is very little money indeed. No free bars, an over reliance on Smith Machines and a lack of heavy weights mean serious workouts are not happening here. But if you just want a backup place to do smaller workouts or are just getting started, I think it's worth $10/month.

Gym is really clean and you can't really beat the price. The staff are super friendly, which is a big upgrade from other chain gyms in the city. My only misgiving is lack of free weight deadlift and squat racks. There's only a few Smith machines, which will do the job in a pinch. It's open 24/7 which is great for when I can't sleep or need something to occupy myself on those late nights. Would recommend this one!

First time ever, forgot my mask, I come here daily, asked for one, told me no they don't give them out anymore, go home and get one. Then I asked the manager if they can spare one, manager in a condescending tone said only this once, next time you'll be sent home. Then pulls out a huge box of masks and hands me one. Really doesn't make me feel very welcome. I really liked this gym until that interaction. Didn't know saving 15 cents on a mask is more important. Literally the only place I've been at that doesn't lend you a mask if you forget yours. Other than this I really love this gym but this stingey mask policy is really upsetting and I really hope it changes. If there ever comes a day where I genuinely forget my mask again and get turned around and not leant one, I will probably just cancel my membership then and there and go to my old gym

Not maintained and cleaned well. Crowd is horrible. People lack basic etiquette of wiping the seats and machines after use. Not a good place to workout.

Upon my first visit in club I was simply amazed, words can not describe the joy I felt. No planet fitness I have ever been too I have seen this kind of commitment! I want to thank Bernice, khyana and tamara and a tall lady with blonde hair for keeping this place up to health standards! As soon as I walked in a seen these 4 females working hard as heck! Even lifting up tread mills, tipping machines and cleaning everywhere ! I would love to shout out the yellow shirt guy who is always on the floor! We need some recognition for these fellow employees! Great location! I signed up before it was fully built and stayed for a few months but ultimately quit because all of their locations were a little too far for me and I could work out at home. Unlike other facilities, (like goodlife) it was easy to get out of my membership without any hassle or like some of the horror stories I had heard about some of their USA locations. I’ve actually canceled my gym membership twice over the past two years with them and never had an issue. Would love to keep attending this gym but just can’t due to distance. Hope they put up other locations soon, the price is great for people on a budget and low income families. This particular location was always clean, and the attendants were always friendly. My only gripe was that they only have a couple of weight machines and they were always in use, but I’m seeing a trend that this is an “every gym issue”, not just PF.

I am a new member of Planet Fitness and am very impressed. My previous gym was Fit4Less so the bar wasn’t set very high. This gym is clean, it’s staffed 24 hours a day, it’s quiet in the morning and the staff basically leave you alone. It’s no Steve Nash or high end gym but for $20 per month it’s great. There’s also underground parking and it’s open 24 hours. Staff are nice and polite.

Question: why was I charged an annual fee when I cancelled prior to the charge? Where is my cancellation email that was supposedly sent to me? And are we being refunded from when we were charged in March? ???? As someone who works in a healthcare setting, I cannot be coming to the gym thus putting patients at a potential risk. I cancelled my membership via phone as I didn’t want to come in due to COVID. The guy on the phone said it was fine to do over the phone because of COVID so a written notice or coming in was no longer required. So please tell me WHY you guys STILL charged me for 2 months of membership PLUS an annual fee??? Where is my cancellation email I was supposed to get? It’s now been well over a week. Am I going to continue being charged? Do something about this ASAP before I call the damn ministry to come in and evaluate your poor business and cleanliness practices..

It's a nice air conditioned opened space with tons workout gear. However one of the main selling points of their gym is having classes and the opportunity for group personal training built into the membership fee. There's a giant sign of the "schedule" which is chock full every day. The problem? They haven't had any training staff for the last 3 months and when asked its always "we'll have someone in a couple weeks".

I love this place! The staff are helpful and courteous. The Black Card membership includes access to pain relief devices (hydromassage beds and chairs, a red light therapy booth with a vibrating platform which is great for treating pain and inflammation (they plug it as an anti-aging device, but for me it's all about pain management). They'd be getting a 5 star rating if they didn't keep buckets of tootsie rolls around. I'm not joking. Let's face it, keeping a bottomless pit of sugar around is not helpful.

Favourite location. This location offers parking and free wifi. Staff are always friendly and ready to help. Has great equipment and boot camp style areas. Unfortunately no classic barbells. They have great discounts on member ship and always have good promotions periodically. I recommend getting the black card as it offers access to the massage chairs and beds which is worth it. Clean location, not the biggest but it’s easy to go on off peak time’s. Located conveniently in the shopping centre (Gerrard square). Easy transit access.

I've been training here since June/July and I like the place. First it's clean, spacious and staff are always taking care of the cleaning. Second, the staff are friendly. Third, it's 24/7 and usually is quiet and enough parking lots in the neighborhood. Drawbacks: 2 3 barbells should be added to the free barbells rack(70, 80 & even 90). And believe me, a scale has nothing to do with no judgement concept,as it's a health measure. Thank you guys.

I went to work out and get a monthly pass The equipment was not working 3 machines out of service including one massage chair. There was a lack of customer service and their classes are all done by one instructor. The people working their don't have the first clue about health wellness or fitness. They are teenagers with bad adequate and no respect. I was met with rude treatment that led to deformation and discrimination. It was a complete nightmare I figured out that My mentality unstable family member works there and I was being judged on hearsay and rumours. Coming from my mentally unstable family member and was band from the location without reason, other then a staff member had personal issue with me. I have not seen or talk to her for over 6 years ????. I dont even know how she works there when she is so unstable ,but that's kind of them to support someone with barriers. What's not ok is to be so unkind to a client and over nothing at all. Was the most embarrassing situation I have been in I was so disgusted and hurt. It was always a mystery to me for the lack of communication. So unprofessional childish and ya don't go there unless your looking for something cheap and run down run by teens with no manners????‍♀️

1. Cold gym, can't sweat, demotivating, and can cause injuries. 2. Don't insult your customers when you tell them you dont have access to the AC. "Oh it's central" 3. The managers, especially the female one are the coldest and most boring individuals I have ever met. They never smile. Have no inclination on how to greet customers. Their smiles are all forced. And it all reflects on their staff. They too don't smile, they are cold, and colorless individuals. Who wants to be around such individuals! Change the management bring someone that is naturally happy with themselves. The rest of the gym is great. Equipment for body weight could improve.

A clean gym with decent equipment, only 10 dollars a month. They act like they are having this amazing deal but they are always having this 10 dollar a month deal. If you're looking for a decent casual gym this is it. If you're looking for a more serious gym this isn't the place for you. If you want to lift a ton of free weights, slam them and make grunting noises then you will not be welcome here. It's a more casual type gym. I mean you can go everyday they don't care, they even have personal trainers you can pay for, they just don't allow gym rat culture to exist.

I love Planet Fitness, North Vancouver. The location is conveniently located. Plenty of underground parking. The friendly and professional staff always make us feel welcome. I joined with my daughters. The gym is large, bright, airy and immaculately clean. They also have plenty of equipment and I can honestly say that we haven’t waited for one machine in the 12 months that we have been members. I also noticed that the staff members are always cleaning and disinfecting machines plus they have cleaning stations all over the gym. Members are all respectful and clean equipment after use as well. Changing rooms/showers are adequate and always spotless. As well there are tonnes of storage lockers. After a good workout we enjoy a relaxing hydro massage. The best part is the cost is really reasonable. I would recommend PF North Vancouver to anybody!

What a pleasant surprise! Was hesitant to accompany a friend here, as it was my first time at a chain gym like this. However, I was incredibly impressed! Front desk staff got us checked in with a guest pass super quick through the Mobile App and answered all of our questions. Changing room was impeccable. All of the training equipment is clean and up to date. They have staff going around dusting, wiping down and disinfecting everything inch by inch. I felt very safe and comfortable - will definitely be back!

Ok gym, have the essential for a decent workout. If you are a beginner the place would be perfect for you but if you are a advance level and really into lifting I wouldn't recommend it as they don't have dumbbells over 70 lbs or squat racks or any kind of lifting platform.

I've been with this gym since the opening. It's one of the cleanest gym I've been. But don't expect squat rack, barbells here. It's mostly free weights, machines, and hanging bars. For the price, of $10/mon it's worth it.

I'm a beginner to working out at gyms, but so far all the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful. I don't feel intimidated at all, it truly feels like a judgment free place to workout in peace. The gym is also super clean and well throughout so finding equipment is easy. Lots of equipment, weight rack is usually very neatly stacked. Members seem to rerack weights here. Change rooms are clean too. Nice water fountain. Staff has always been attentive and friendly to me. Good place all around. $10 / month. Hard to beat a full featured club for that price. Much better than the same price vs what is offered from Fit4Less. Con: Only one entrance after mall closes. Must take stairs because elevators shut down. A bit inconvenient, especially on leg day.

Easily the worst gym I've ever been to I only go here because it's literally so close to home.. staff is over turned weekly.. first time there I went in a tanning bed and I was put in for 9 minutes at the maximum I couldn't walk or leave the house for 3 days had to use lidocaine spray to ease my burn need educated staff with prior tanning experience... recently used their tanning bed as well it was very unclean! There was blood on the inside of the tanning bed (the lay down one) health and safety should be doing routine checks on this gym not to mention everything else is dirty, gym equipment always broken aswell as the VIP membership where they don't actually check to see if you pay extra because they just let everyone else in as a free for all even if your paying more.. poorly run... rude staff members just sitting around on their phones at the front desk aswell all the good staff left in the beginning id rate this gym a -1 if it was an option.

There are not many planet fitness gyms around so this one is a bit out of the way for a 3 day workout during the week, but it is a good gym for a good price, with tanning and hydro massage, and the possibility of bringing a friend for free every workout, its definitely one of my favorite gyms, and everything is quite sanitary and clean which is a plus!

Awesome place to workout! The Lunk alarm really helps people from throwing and dropping weights. The membership is very affordable and the staff are very friendly. So many machines to workout on, or isolate muscle groups. I would recommend coming at non-peak hours for a more relaxed experience. More machine availability with COVID. I was able to use a friends +1 pass and got to work out with them for free. Also didn't notice as much creepy staring lol

Decent place on it's own. Good machines and lots of easily accessible classes and pretty much any machine you could expect. Always very clean and well maintained with a good atmosphere and nice staff inside the location itself, but the 24 hour entrance requires you to walk through a stairwell that stinks heavily of urine and cigarette smoke. Not having an entrance outside the mall makes the location awkward. The policy of not allowing black card membership guests into the "spa" area seems strange to me as well. Am I going to leave my guest outside while I use a massage chair? If you bring a guest frequently, you end up barely using the spa at all.

Good for casual or first time gym-goers. They do not endorse heavy weight or bodybuilding here (or in any of their franchises) so it's more for general fitness and wellness. I would not recommend this gym to serious athletes unless you're just looking for somewhere to do cardio, but it's a good gym for entry-level weight lifting and that sort. They have ample equipment for cardio, a bit less for squats and racks. One nice thing about the location is that their tanning booths/beds and hydromassage chairs/beds are included in their 2nd level membership, which also includes the ability to bring a guest at any time for free as long as you are there with them. The use of the extra amenities also extends to your guest! Excellent value if you plan on going with a workout partner. 2nd level membership also includes 50% off drink purchases like Powerade. There are also a number of classes you can sign up for either in person or via their mobile app which is very convenient. Price wise, this gym is great. There is an annual and monthly fee, but the ammount you pay per year is a fraction of what you would pay for a Goodlife membership and you can cancel at any time (must be done in person, with a weeks notice) and you don't have to pay any fee to terminate your membership (which other gyms often require, such as Goodlife makes you pay 10% of your remaining membership fee or $75 to cancel, whichever is less.) Over all, great value for general fitness and anyone who is new to going to a gym. It's a judgement free gym, so no one is going to bother you if you're not squatting those 1000lb lifts!

Love the price and variety of equipment here but the showers... oh, the showers. Be sure to get in the right one or else you’ll get in, there’ll be pressure and suddenly the pressure will stop. I’ve complained to the staff and they just say it’s the mall & the pressure in their pipes. If I were the manager, I would have the staff testing the pressures and posting signs to give us a heads up. At least make it look like you’re trying to make the best of the worst. It sucks getting in and lathering up only to find out the shower stops working and you have no choice but to run around to the next shower while all soaped up. Also, I’m not a fan of the staff holding my phone to scan my barcode. When you go to shoppers, they insist that you scan your optimum points barcode because they don’t want to be responsible for dropping your phone and possibly busting the screen. I think this same procedure should apply because if a staff drops my phone and breaks it there’s no way they’ll be paying for it. Overall, I do love this gym but it does have a few quirks. The price is right for me and it has all I need so it’s great. Oh, and someone complained about the buckets of tootsie rolls. I asked about that and staff said it’s for diabetics who work out.. however, I didn’t know THAT many diabetics worked out there.. and if you’re choosing to provide this for diabetics, as a gym you should be turning down the music for those who are sensitive to music, cleaning the machines more frequently for germaphobes, etc. etc. you get the point. If you’re wanting to help one group of people be prepared to help more. I personally don’t think the tootsie rolls are necessary because if you are diabetic and working out you’ll bring your own sugar along with you to accommodate yourself. Or just hide the darn things so people are tempted to consume the sugar!

There are no olympic/power bars, squat racks or bench press setups, and the free weight area does not have mirrors to check form. I ended up getting a refund on my membership, and the staff were very friendly and understanding about that. The gym itself is fine if you need/want to stick to cardio and machines, but it definitely does not appeal to people who want to use weights. For reference, I am not a competitor or a bodybuilder, but I do lift heavy enough that I require a rack and bar to load/unload multiple exercises.

The communication in this facility is fantastic! I had the best conversation with James and his kindness was both heartfelt and unexpected! From my sign up experience, with three associates Garrett, Alam and Alex, each one took their time and to assist me! Especially Alex who helped see me through the entire sign up process :) There is a teamwork atmosphere with clear understanding of what you are getting for such a great value! The facilities are super clean and stocked up, with the cleanest bathrooms/ washrooms I've seen! As someone with a professional cleaning background, this is important to me! Customer Service is abhorrent. Planet Fitness has taken money out of my account after I cancelled my membership after desperately trying to do so during the pandemic. I didn't have the money in my account because of said pandemic taking it's toll on my employment, so the bank charged me money. Now I'm further in debt while calmly and patiently asking for them to reimburse me for the money that has been taken from my account and they keep telling me to call next week. Three weeks later and they're pulling the same stunt. Planet Fitness you need to fix this problem and the managers need to quit being lazy and deal with it. Give me an answer this is completely unprofessional and I don't mind getting others involved if that means you will finally listen and help

It's an amazing place to work out, there is a lot of equipment, it is well maintained, staff is friendly and helpful, members clean after themselves and re rack weights. The best part is the atmosphere, the club aims to create a non judgemental space and it delivers. If you're a black card member, bringing an extra person every time you go it's a huge bonus, you can take them every day and pay half the fee. The only weird thing is the entrance after the mall closes, quite complicated to navigate (Tip: go through Marjory Ave) , but past that, not many clubs will allow you to work out at 3 in the morning.

Love the convenience of this gym - I recently had a baby and can make my own workout schedule thanks to 24/7 hours. The change rooms and weight areas are always clean and organized when I come. The price is remarkably cheap for the convenience and safety of this location and you are never stuck searching for parking. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the staff at the front desk lacks personality- except for Pam who is amazing and very helpful - but you would be lucky to even get a “hello” from the rest of them. That said they keep the gym clean and functioning so they are doing an okay job but could just be a bit friendlier. I mean if you’re standing at a front desk at least smile.

Really impressed with Planet Fitness so far. My wife and I joined last week. We got the black card package, which includes tanning, red light therapy, massage beds/chairs. The gym is very clean and the staff are great. More than I can say about Fitness World. They have a crowd meter on their app so you can see how busy it is and it seems fairly accurate.

This place is getting worse and worse. It is becoming too crowded. I try and go during off hours and even that time is becoming brutal. The men's changeroom is now way too small for the amount of members. And you have people hogging machines while sitting on their phones. They have a problem keeping staff. They have a new manager who staff don't seem to care for so it's all new staff except one. One drinking fountain hasn't been working for weeks and now the other one is broken?!! That means if you didn't bring your own water, you'll have to pay $2.50 for one. How hard is it to call a plumber? The manager needs to be replaced. The place could be way more cleaner than it is. The men's changeroom is disgusting every time I come. If you ever have a chance to visit a planet fitness in the States, you'll see how they're supposed to be cleaned. I'm starting to lean towards cancelling my membership and joining a different club. The 2 stars are for the price and the massage tables. If you liked my review, please give me a thumbs up. ????????

I had hurt my back and was unable to use the service for a month. Ry, the manager at the location in North Vancouver was compassionate and found.a solution for my membership fee that made me feel seen and heard. What is more he did it in a humorous and friendly way. It made the experience fun rather than stressful. I find that is kind of customer service that makes a person come back and tell others about it. He is setting a great example for the staff there on how to engage with customers. In my opinion, that kind of 'lead by example' experience is the mark of a great leader :)

Visiting the gym now is honestly not how it used to be. The staff members are unprofessional and rude especially the management. I used to be greeted by a kind lady at the front desk named Jasmine and it seems to be that she has left as well as other friendly faces. It shows in the lack of communication, work ethic and social skills. I remember feeling so welcome and excited to go there but now I am met with judgement. Not to mention that I put a hold on my account for a month because of a injury but my card has been charged? And all I am faced with is I never spoke to someone to do that hold. The gym is nice and big. A lot of equipments and machines to make sure you don't have to wait. However, they lack some basic needs which is customer service. I have recently joined and was finding hard to understand how does a seat is adjusted in one of their machine and the staff was unable to help and said there's no one who can help me out here. Similar tuing happened with the weight machine. They dony have a digital one and the staff don't know how to use the one thats there.

Great place to workout without breaking the bank ($15-25/MTH) and NO long contacts. This place has just about every piece of equipment you're looking for, heavy accent on cardio machines, which you can always find one of. Tons of options, including tanning beds, and the ability to bring a guest every time with Black Card. Aqua massage beds are freaking awesome! Drawbacks: lack of social distancing at the free weights. Early evening can be filled with muscle head/dude bros even though the gym totes itself as a"muscle head free" zone. If you've been to other gyms, you'll probably be confused by why the machines are designed the way they are. My biggest issue is with a number of the machines not made for tall people or those with broad shoulders. I'll live.

If you are looking for a very mediocre commercialized gym look no further, over crowded gym there’s no space I’ve seen people working out in the corners of the gym also younger kids in the gym space there people bringing babies in just hanging out at the front while the baby cries also hardly any mirrors Unfriendly staff you can walk through the door and just get blank stares or if you would like to use one of the black card services which you pay for the staff are usually having big conversations with each other at the front makes you feel like you are interrupting them.. or too busy texting on their cell phone to acknowledge you... the manger is also a piece of work very unprofessional in many ways another thing that made me feel very uncomfortable was when I was in the other day I was in the women’s change room getting changed into my gym clothes and there is a woman facing me on her phone face timing someone I noticed as I was walking away but in the way she was sitting her back was to the showers so the person she was FaceTiming could see the other women getting in and out of the shower which is highly inappropriate why would you come to a gym to face time in the women’s locker room!!! That is ridiculous I think head office needs to make a visit to this location and make some changes their motto is judgment free zone and on the walls it’s also posted about men not wearing stringer shirts and women no sports bras but people are walking around half dressed and no one says anything very poorly managed can’t expect much from mass Gym production even though the gym membership is inexpensive there are other much better options canceled my membership would not recommend this gym!

Great facility, Very Clean Environment, Friendly staff and most important of all things proper air flow!! I've been to other locations and its either to hot in there or chilly!! Great setup l'm glad it also had the 360 which l use a lot and some locations don't have them which is a shame!! Keep up the great work guys!!

I am surprised there are so many negative comments about this place. On the East side, you have two smelly, moldy, neglected Goodlife's OR a brand new gym with all the same brand of equipment Goodlife has. The only thing some people might not like is that there is only assisted bars and no mirror in front of the free weights. So much value for your money though. I even saw them wiping down equipment and putting things away! I have never seen that happen at Goodlife. I think Goodlife is going to lose a lot of members because of this gym opening up. To be honest, I don't love the branding though...purple and yellow everywhere? and the name? I think it cheapens the brand, and the only cheap thing about it is the price. Anyways, Good gym, good value, brand new and clean. The most organized and tidy gym I have ever been in consistently.

Lots of teenagers that come in groups because of the low cost of the gym. Hard to get a full workout in during thw busier times. Gym etiquette is completely lacking the amount of people who simply walk right through your set is astounding. Staff is nice and friendly and I got what I paid for. FYI: No squat racks, bench presses and free weights top out at 80lbs.

They charged me for fees I didn't owe them. I cancelled my membership over 10 days before my free membership ended (I only used the gym once) and they won't refund any of my money. Also the gym is hardly sanitized at all, did not feel covid safe at all there. Only nice thing is that it's open 24hrs. With all that in mind, would honestly not recommend.

I recently went to planet fitness just being that it's very close for me to go to and I was very disappointed by a poorly managed gym with stand offish staff members.. there's also no mirrors where the free weights are which is pretty annoying seeing as you can't see your form... needs actual squat racks but what do you expect from a 10$ gym

So disappointing! My wife and I came here and signed the contract to do our workout here. As my wife had previous injury we asked if we can have 2online personal training sessions with a private physiotherapist in their gym. Their staff told us that we can and that's why we signed up with them. Then today they changed their word and the manager act to rude to us and told that we (as a customer) are lying, and they haven't told us that the personal training in the facility is allowed (which they told when we asked at the beginning). Now they waste one hour payment of physiotherapist, and also they already charged us lot for nothing! The story was bad enough, but the way that they talked to us was super rude and was not acceptable at all. Never seen these kind of language in any facilities and that how they talked to people. Nice at the beginning and rude at the end.

Gerrard Square Planet Fitness is insanely clean thanks to the staff that work there!! Not a day goes by that i have come and there is not one person cleaning. Bathrooms are always spick and span could probably eat off them (with being covid i would not recommend lol) Huge thank you to the evening staff !! Berenice and her crew are amazing!!! <3 Check out the overnight staff as well! they always have that ghost busters back pack on! way to go jamaica and john ! PLANET FITNESS ROCKS!!

Way too many people shuffling around the floor without masks on. Staff don't enforce their own policies beyond the front desk area. Lots of senior members congregating around equipment like it's a social club, while a bunch of part-timers sit around scrolling Insta while you patiently wait for them to vacate the machine they're currently not using. It's bright and clean here, but the clientele and lackadaisical staff attitudes let it down.

This is the 3rd day in a row that I went to the gym a d they had their fans full blast. Very cold in the gym. Asked the girl at the reception to 5urn the fans down or the temperature. She told me she has no access which was Insulting cause I could see the AC control pads on the wall right behind her. I honestly don't know what type of education these coaches or trainers get. Optimal room temp for working out is 68-74 degrees. The gyms temperature was probably around 62 -63 degrees. This shows the lack of experience by their management and coaches. Maybe time to look for a better gym.

If I could give them negative stars I would. I cancelled my plan with them last September 2020 because they took money from my account even thought I cancelled it in March 2020 and then they said my account was on “pause” even though I explicitly asked to have it CANCELLED. Then now I see another charge on my account from your gym a WHOLE YEAR LATER even though they said they would cancel my account. Make sure you check your bank statements regularly like I did who knows how long they could’ve gotten away with it if I hadn’t!

For the price it's a great gym but its so frustrating that the free weights face a glass wall into the mall. Not only can you not see your form but you have people looking into the gym as your working out. Very awkward. It wasn't the only reason I cancelled my membership but it definitely played a factor. If they put the free weights anywhere else in the gym I would consider rejoining as it's so cheap.

The nearest location is 1000 Gerrard Street, which is about 40 minutes drive from my home. I see Gerrard Square is a very busy place so I am concerned about the car parking. In most cases, I have to visit the gym between 6 to 8 pm. I just want to know that does this location have parking spots available for its members always? Thank you

Very unorganized place. One time you go there with a friend and they treat you nice , another time they treat you very badly. Nobody advised me that my friend need to have any ID to be able to enter this place. I gave them 10 after my first visit , now I feel very sorry didn't wait a little longer to give them my review. .... There is an individual named Keegan who is persecuting me for my post. Very disrespectful person who is ready to beat you up. He suggested me that the manager of the Planet fitness most likely will not talk to me nicely or respond to my email politely because of my post. I would suggest to send that young Keegan to some institution specialized in the anger control management. If not sooner or later he really can try to beat some costumer. I thought will be a very nice place to go after my work to relax found out I was wrong. You scared off two of my friends which could become your next black card members. Nice job Planet fitness!!!!

I love this gym. Being an out of shape senior I can't use most of the heavy equipments at other gyms. I am pleased that the machine at PF are user friendly and are great for beginners. The staff has been nothing but wonderful on the few visits I've made so far. Friendly, helpful and informative. I have zero complaints honestly. The place is immaculate too. Will be staying here for a long time.

Not quite the level of professionalism that I was expecting especially when we're dealing with a customer service job. Excellent gym. Very clean and friendly staff. EDIT#2 Not currently 24 hour but still open much wider hours than most gyms. EDIT: This gym goes above and beyond any other gym I have had a membership at. Sept 29th, 5am, was walking in from PF parking lot and my phone rang. While I was walking I felt somehthing very squishy under my foot. Of course, some jerk had let their dog defecate in the concrete, covered, walkway just outside the daycare center near PF. I wiped off best I could on the grass half a block away. When got back to PF took shoe off when entering and carried it upstairs. The staff at PF were nice enough to give me a set of gloves, paper towel and disinfectant. Very nice as I did not want to spread it around the very clean gym. Same day after workout, I could not find my headphones when arriving at home. I figured they likely fell out of my bag when changing. I called PF at around 6-7am. They sent someone to the change room and found them. Labelled with my name and picked up Sept 24th AM. Excellent service. Anyone looking for a low key gym to work out literally any time of the day. Don't hesitate, get yourself a pass here.

Very clean and incredibly friendly staff! Layout is perfect and it is never too busy. I’m so grateful they have been open during these times, I know it hasn’t been easy. That first day they had to start mandating the vaccine passport, the employee working the morning was receiving such disrespect from certain people but she remained professional and continued to follow protocol. A great gym at a great price. There are no free rods and weights and very few equipments to train. They have just 3 benches for entire gym to use, so if you don't go very early or late, all you can usually access is the cardio and very few workout equipments. But it is very cheap and open 24-7, so I would recommend to anyone looking to stay fit to join. And anyone who wants to build muscles, this can be their off-hours cardio place.

It's a great place with nice staff but it didn't really help me with the goals I had in mind. If you're looking to genuinely train your body and define more muscle, find a place that uses more free weights than machines.

I just joined this gym and I love so many things about it. Everything seems clean and people are respecting the mask mandates. The staff have always been friendly and there was no hassle or up-selling when I signed up. Lots of equipment and small crowds. The only issue I personally have is the temperature. My asthma is triggered by cold air, which is why I take my cardio indoors this time of year but it's so cold I can't do more than 5 minutes on any cardio machine before I can't breath properly. I asked about it and that's just the way it is. I'm not sure how I'm going to get my cardio in. I guess that's a me problem and not a them problem. Although there are a lot of negative reviews about the air conditioning.

This is a pseudo no frills gym that does offer extra amenities if desired (tanning, massage) and along with guided training to better make use of your time working out. All staff are friendly and informative. The location works great with plenty of parking and round the clock access so there is no excuse to NOT go in. The water fountain/ water bottle filler is a nice touch allowing proper hydration. The locker room is spacious and the showers are never over full. The price is also very budget friendly. Give it a try and see how you enjoy the experience

Cancelling membership at Planet Fitness is impossible. You can't do it online or over the phone, and are required to go in person even though its a pandemic. Their online site doesn't work and cancellations can't be done online. Health and safety of staff and public doesn't seem to be a priority. The gym is just hoping to avoid cancellations by making it difficult. Nothing against this location specifically, just a ridiculous policy for a large company. I get that times are tough for gyms but requiring in person cancellations is a scam.

If I had to describe this location in one word it'd be "Crooks". Found out they started charging my account for fees again earlier in the year and called to cancel it as I am not returning until COVID is done for. Guy says yeah I can freeze it again or you can just renew at a later time. I ask how much my plan is now vs how much it'll be to get it again and he says it's only a few bucks more. So I said yes just cancel it and he says done. I check my statement a few days go and they actually started charging me again several months ago again without my permission. Talk to someone who says manager will call me back, never happens. Several times. A "manager" finally emails me back with templated responses about how "We don't accept cancellations by phone" meaning they won't refund my money even though I haven't stepped into their building in over a year. Won't give me his or her name when I ask. Oh, but they allowed me to cancel my membership now when I called. Compete lack of competence or even a shred a customer service. Avoid at all costs. Incoming templated response from "management" incoming. Update: After seeing robot management response- there's no confusion about cancelling my membership. I called, it was cancelled according to your staff, then you started charging me again. Your staffs ineptitude is the only confusing part- also how you're still in business.

Illiterate and intellectually challenged dude with super big Ego. Making up their rules, and not capable of doing his job. The whole place is a joke. Would not recommend to anyone!

One day while I was working out a very large male personal trainer approached me and yelled at me “Don’t flatter yourself, you’re okay!” I have never once exchanged words with this man so I was very confused. I reported the incident to an employee and the manager and filled out an incident report. Three weeks went by and I never heard back from anyone. During this time, I had almost every employee at Planet Fitness tell me they had read my incident report (which should have remained confidential). I never once got an apology from the trainer or an explanation. He would stare at me while I worked out after this and would constantly try to intimidate me when entering the gym. I felt unbearably uncomfortable at this point. I told another manager about the incident and they told me no one else was even aware of what happened. Another day, the same personal trainer stared at my friend and I while we worked out, paced in front of us and murmured things under his breath. I went to report the personal trainer’s behaviour to another employee and then the PT came over to yell at me. I told him to leave me alone but he didn’t and followed me around the gym. My friend started to film the incident so the PT followed him around, demanding for his phone while threatening to fight him. My friend and I both reported the incident to the manager and regional manager and were told that several other members reported the incident as well. A week went by and neither of us heard from anyone and my friend hadn't received any acknowledgment from Planet Fitness in regards to his complaint. We both contacted head office and then finally the regional manager Ashley called us back to tell us that it was in Planet Fitness’ best interest to terminate both relationships. My membership as well as my friend’s membership was revoked. Any time we asked for an explanation, she would just repeat “It’s in Planet Fitness’ best interest to terminate both relationships” and then hung up on me. I received an email with a form filled out on my behalf. Under reason for leaving, they wrote “student”. I’m guessing the regional manager Ashley was trying to keep things quiet. Both incidents were never even acknowledged. As a small young female, to feel this uncomfortable is not okay. I left that gym in tears on more then one occasion.

Very unfriendly staff. Staff do not make you feel welcomed at all. I asked to sign up and it was like pulling teeth with staff. She did not even explain anything. They have a promotion goj g on expires today and I didn't have my banking information she says basically said oh well you lose on the deal. Most unfriendly unwelcoming place. Did not even offer me a tour or explain anything just the black card membership is the most popular. I really felt judged.

For the price you pay, it’s a great gym! The equipment is in good condition and there’s a lot of variety. Overall I’d recommend it. Two things I’d be aware of is if you do the classes, be prepared for an intense workout. The trainer isn’t so adaptive to all skill levels, he’s fit so he expects you to be. It’s great they have classes, but I personally don’t recommend them if you’re any bit out of shape. Also heads up that if you do go after mall hours and take TTC or walk there, you have to go through a parking garage to enter/exit the gym. Learned this the hard way one evening at 11pm. As a female, I’d recommend going during mall business hours.

this place has terrible customer service. the paper tower dispensers around popular equipment and changing rooms are always empty or the paper towers would just be placed on top of the garbage disposal bins and not properly inserted in its holder. The check in staff are also a gamble. some are nice some are just outright rude. I walked in for a late night session and the guy just kept his headphones on and pointed at the scanner while he sat there listening to music. Also go to another gym if u think this is a cheap gym where u can bring your friends as the check in staff did not let my friend in for a late evening workout as they could not find his profile.when they created his profile. they did not even take his photo when they did for my other friends so Im guessing they did not create the profile correctly and wanted I.D. Another issue is the check in rep did not try other means of finding my friends profile before denying entry. They could of asked for a name because its easy to hit a wrong digit when typing in a phone number. We ended up having to walk home as who brings their I.D for a late night workout when everything else is close. Anyways I would never recommend this gym to anyone that actually cares about going to a decent gym

It's a spacious gym and affordable price for what you get. They follow all the Covid19 restriction and I feel safe when I work out. I got the black membership which includes the spa room with massage chairs and beds. Plenty of parking available.
