Unbelievable community centre. Thanks to Regg who took my mom on a tour of the place. This place was built in 1938 and kicks the butt of any other community centre I have seen.

Another of Northern Ontario's great ol' puck barns. The brick exterior reminds me of an "Original Six" arena. The gentleman who sharpens skates out of his little kiosk is a master - he can really hone those blades in - he told me he's been doing it for over 50 years! The attached restaurant has lot's of character and served up a decent post game breakfast.

This place isn't for me. The 2 star rating is based on the environment and menu. There are plenty of people who would love it here, but the Mac isn't for you if you want a healthy meal. The service isn't bad, but I find myself not wanting anything on the menu, and there are no break downs or ingredient lists, which makes it hard to order for an out of towner.

One of the last historic buildings left in Schumacher from the mining hay day of the McIntyre Mine. From the art deco style restaurant that still has the rounded counter and stools, converted gym and bowling alley to rental halls. Still great arena and curling rink. Both hosting may events from the yearly Sportsman Show, Home Show and Multi Cultural Festival. As well as the hockey and curling seasons.

A classic Restaurant that takes you back in time. The menu has many of the comfort foods you would expect. The restaurant also has a limited number of beers to choose from when having dinner. Service is usually quick but times can get to be long when there is a major event in the arena, auditorium or curling rink.

Nostalgic and historic building. Lots of events and clubs operate here. Home of the Rock. Full Restaurant. Nice location with lots of parking and a park nearby. Great for many types of engagements and co ferences.
