The front desk staff are very professional yet friendly and helpful when called upon. The hotel grounds and building are in good condition. The only thing that would make the stay beyond perfect would be adding sausage gravy to the breakfast menu to go with the biscuits.

This Holiday Inn has everything you need and have come to expect from a Holiday Inn. The staff a great and welcoming on arrival. The rooms are clean and quiet. My only disappointment was the breakfast and that could have been strictly timing on my part. There was no hot food available-no eggs, sausage or bacon and I took the last yogurt. Juice and hot beverages were fully stocked.

Checked in on August 30 for a quick overnight stay with my husband and daughter after a 14 hour driving day only to find that my bed hadn't been cleaned. The sheets smelled strongly of women's perfume. When we took the sheets down to the front desk (our daughter was asleep in the other bed already) the lady asked if perhaps it was fabric softener or the housekeepers perfume. No! It was some chick who clearly slept on top of the bed and housekeeping saw it still made up and left it! She then asked if it was the bed by the window, which it was, so that was odd. I've never had this issue before and Holiday Inns are typically our hotels of choice so needless to say, I'm quite disappointed with this one.

Amazing hotel...I loved it. We stayed one night with my husband and kids.that staff are friendly and always smiling. The decor is modern. I made an honest mistake of booking a room in June instead of July through the hotel website. I booked the room in May and received no further follow up emails of my upcoming trip to catch my mistake. My reservation dates passed without me realizing or any trip update email notifications from the Holiday Inn Thunder Bay. I was charge $310.36 for both rooms booked (as a no show charge which is the full room cost). I received no email or notification of the charges. Once realizing the charges on my credit card statement and my mistake, I called the Hotel Manager (Rachelle) and she stated their policy and noted that times are tough for the hotel industry. I am very frustrated with the lack of communication and notifications from Holiday Inn as I would have been able to catch my error and they wouldn't have had to turn people away that night. Also, that comment by the manager shows that this business is angled to make a quick buck off customers when times are tough for all. Make sure you click the right dates when booking...

I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful service, the welcome to myself and my pup! We both had a great nights stay, and I just love the added touch of doggie bags and a treat upon welcome! They even put us on ground so we could easily let our pup out! The breakfast server was very enthusiastic and accommodating. She even looked up and called a local mine for us to visit. With COVID there are a number of attractions that are listed as open but aren't. Our experience in Thunder Bay was terrific.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It was clean, well maintained, and one of the most inexpensive hotels of our two week trip. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. We loved the pool, hot tub and splash area for the kids. It was daunting to see the security presence, but did not feel as if we were in a rough area.

My stay was excellent overall. The worst part were just dealing with parents from a hockey tournament. Thank goodness I had the chance to stay a 3rd night and enjoy some peace and quiet. I love the recycling program that is in place and to have the chance to earn points.

We travel across Canada regularly. Thunder Bay was always difficult to find a pet friendly hotel. The Holiday Inn Express has it all. Pet friendly, clean, well kept and lots of options for food nearby. The staff are very accommodating. This is our third stay in 4 years.

I have already made my comments in a previous posting regarding my experience with the policy and how my linens were not changed after I had requested that. The towels and toiletries and coffee and tea was not replenished daily as well. I will give serious consideration to where I stay on my next trip to Thunder Bay.

This hotel was so clean, the room was big, lots of room for us with two big dogs, and the staff were so friendly and patient with the dogs who were very excited to meet everyone. There was plenty of space to move around outside safely, and a patio where we were able to eat outside with the dogs with us. Price was very reasonable for the experience we had - we stayed 3 nights and we have no complaints to share. The location was great. Close to shopping, and restaurants - we highly recommend Mike’s Roadhouse which is right next to the hotel. We will happily stay here the next time we are in T Bay.
