This place is more than just a gym, it’s a place where everyone is welcome and you can feel comfortable in your own skin. The people that work there aren’t just staff they are your friends whom care about you and want to help you reach your goals. At Port City you get the whole package, you don’t just work out, you receive one on one help with a personal trainer in small classes, they can help you adapt your exercise due to need and make sure your form is proper so you are doing the work out safely and you get with an easy to follow meal plan. For me I need this, I need someone to keep me on track, to keep me accountable. I starting going to Port City Fitness because I didn’t know where to start, I’ve stayed because they’ve helped me get there and continue to support me.

I took the Port City Fitness 6 week challenge after hearing great things from a friend over the summer, and I'm so happy I did! I'd been trying to get my act together to live a healthier life, eat better, exercise more, but I wasn't getting anywhere on my own. It turns out I needed a little help, and a push to take things seriously, and get and stay motivated. Once I started the challenged I worried the meal plan would be too restrictive or I'd be hungry or crave junk food or I'd be eating bland food - I was wrong on all counts. With guidance and support from Vicky, I've kicked my junk food cravings and actually put the time and effort into eating healthier and staying full longer - no more hangry days! The other side of the challenge are classes at the gym itself. Vicky and her team are so creative and the classes are always great! Challenging sure, but a lot of fun. I really do love it (despite sometimes hating it in the moment - no one ever said working out it easy). The classes are small and you're given personal attention to make sure you've got the right form and appropriate weights. My last two weeks I've had an injury and moves I couldn't do were modified so I could still participate at my level. Vicky and Port City Fitness have helped me kick my butt into living a healthier life. I'm finished the challenge, and happily joined the gym to keep at it. If you've been thinking about making a change to get healthier, I strongly recommend checking out Port City Fitness!

I’ve been a member for about four years and highly recommend this boutique gym and coaching program. It’s like having my own personal trainer, every class. I have tried other gyms and they didn't work for me as my focus is not weight loss, but maintaining strength both physically and mentally as I age. I am pleased with my results due to Vicky’s program and her dedication to helping me with my specific fitness goals. Port city fitness is a fun and welcoming place to workout. ONLY good things to say about this place. Port city training and fitness will help you achieve your fitness goals and change your life for the better. Never have I been a part of something that made me feel like I was part of such a family. everyone encourages everyone, the trainers are down to earth, very real and motivating and help you stay on track even when you've strayed and you're feeling like what's the point? in all aspects. I've always wanted to get in better shape, trying to eat healthy, joining a regular gym, but never getting the results I was hoping for... until now. A couple of months ago I saw Port City Training and Fitness' ad on Facebook for a 6 week challenge, and WOW am I ever happy I messaged them! Vicky really knows what she is doing and helped me educate and motivate me! I have been wanting to make this healthy change for a long time now, and she made it all come together with the right nutrition and exercise plan. If you've been wanting to make a change, get in touch with Vicky - you'll be glad you did!! I was never hungry during the challenge, and the group workouts are a lot of fun with Vicky & Amy (first time trying this type of format). I have never pushed myself so hard or sweated so much! It's awesome to be so motivated! Seriously, a good boost to not only your physical but mental health as well!! Don't make excuses and put you and your health first :) (I made this challenge work between 75+ hours/week working nights and many visits to my dad who's in the hospital). I've signed up with Port City to continue my health transformation... I am excited to see the next set of progress pictures!

This is a great facility to join up with because of the fact that they are training you in real time and keeping of your progress in order to be able to make sure that you are receiving the best possible program that is tailored to your needs and also to ensure that you are continuing to gain the best results possible for you to advance and continue to be able to track your progress. Well the results are in after 6 weeks with Port City Training and Fitness Ltd. I have lost 16.5 inches, 19.1lbs, 6.3% body fat... and have gained so much more!! Vicky Buchan and Amy Sheldrick were so welcoming and supportive! In addition to an easy to follow meal plan, grocery & home workout tips, they offered the kick start I needed to get my momentum going. I go. I sweat, a lot. I get yelled at. I feel better. I love it! They have everything ready to go, and they explain the routines in great detail every single time. If there's something I can't do, they provide an alternative. It's worth it. The small classes are great because you get to know everyone who traditionally attends at the same time, and that usually motivates me, plus we usually have a laugh.. in between tears of pain.... There is always encouragement, from EVERYONE. Port City is fantastic! If you're like me, and it's time to make a change to your health (I was waaay out of where I should have been on the fitness scale, I'm 41), it's never too late..

The trainers know what they are talking about and help with modifications which has been key as I battle injuries. The class sizes are small which allows for attention to detail in your form. I lost 7% body fat and 25 pounds in 6 weeks. Here's how. I had been seeing a lot of ads on Facebook and port city fitness was offering a 6 week challenge where you lose 25 pounds or 6% body fat if you do this you get your money back! It sounded too good to be true. The hardest part for me was walking in. I had been essentially working behind a desk for the last 9 months, working long hours and shoving whatever I could into my system to keep fed (even though my wife was packing me healthy lunches supper wasn't always planned). It had been almost 4 years since I've stepped into a gym. I Finally found something that works! After giving crossfit a try I found it too hard on the joints and heavy lifting wasn't getting me into the shape I wanted to be in. I met with Vicky Buchan and she showed me the facility and how they do things at Port city fitness. The first week was rough, but as I slowly got into it things became easier, push ups, chin ups, burpees and squats! Sticking to a designed meal plan was the most challenging as I constantly had to practice restraint while having "fast food fantasies" in my sleep. The healthy eating with the intense workouts gave me the tools to where I wanted to be. I have a 2 year old boy that I want to keep up with and I was tired of having to catch my breath after walking up stairs. I can happily do that and more. This is a game changer for me. I can say with 100% honesty that I am happy I walked through the doors at Port city fitness and training. I want to thank Vicky and Amy for constantly reminding me on my form and putting up with my enthusiasm. Thanks to my wife Cynthia who constantly reminded me of my #offdayworkouts and did almost all of the cooking for me (I tend to improvise when I cook and not the good kind). I will be doing a month to month with port city fitness. The flexibility will really work with my schedule and looking forward to hitting some more goals!

I joined their Six Week Challenge. Historically, I don't like the gym, but I like this one so much that I joined for a year. The group workouts are structured and guided, so it is like sharing a personal trainer. Alternative moves are provided for those with physical restrictions. There are no machines, it is all free weights, resistance and body weight focused, which makes off day workouts possible without the need for much equipment at home. Vicky and Amy are very enthusiastic, helpful and encouraging, and this makes the work far more bearable for those of us who don't like exercise for exercise sake. There is no judgement, only encouragement, which makes being there more relaxed and comfortable than any other gym I have tried, and because of this, effort is high, and results really happen!! LOVING IT!!

At 37 yrs old , I felt like I needed a change, I've been a member of Goodlife Fitness for the last 10 yrs , been physically actif , playing hockey , golf and everything else..but I couldn't achieve the results I was looking for. I am very proud to say that this gym is the best in the city. Awesome Staff / trainers, great atmosphere, really nice facility. I couldn't believed how much Vicky and Amy were dedicated to help us achieved our goal. I've been a member since the beginning of August. I have to admit I was skeptical about joining a gym and trying the "6 week challenge," but I am so glad I made the plunge. I'm currently 24 lbs lighter and have a community of FUNNY, energetic, welcoming people that I get to work out with every day. No one ever judges you for what you can or can not do, the trainers are able to make adjustments for any problem areas you have and did I mention they're FUN? This gym is worth every penny. If Vicky (and Amy and Robyn) can make me want to work out at 5:30 am every day, she can make anyone want to do it!

At 10 months postpartum, I weighed exactly the same as the first day I delivered my baby, I didn't lose a pound since the delivery. I was pretty desperate after tons of attempt to try to lose weight (meeting a dietetitian, going to big fitness clubs..) all in vain. I was lucky to hear about the challenge at Port city training and fitness, and it was THE thing I should have done from the start, it's a life changer. The challenge is a complete program, the meal plan, the training, the coaches ... Well, as far as the meals, it was not that easy at the begining, but not because I was hungry, it was because I had to change my habits. Once I got used to the new habits, I actually enjoyed the process. The coaches are professional, supportive, and very friendly, the workouts change up a lot, you never get bored. I am a shy person, I don't ask a lot of questions, but Vicky was there every week to ask me how I was doing and trying to gauge how I was feeling about the whole thing ... I appreciate that a lot... If you are lost, and you don't know what to do to keep yourself on track ---> Port city training and fitness' team is there for you.
