Terrible customer service! Experience; I have a locker in the executive men's room at this gym for which I'm paying extra on top of my regular gym membership fees, some may admit at a questionable rate, but I enjoy the privacy (I thought I had) little did I know. On March 17th I came in and my lock was gone and all the stuff in my locker was gone as well. So I asked one of the sales representative about it and he said our sales rep forgot to put the locker under your account when you were signing up for the executive locker but the payments were still being processed and that evolution cut the lock and removed my items. Further he apologized and said "we can give you a new lock". I told him someone broke my lock without my consent and touched my personal items given the reality of COVID-19, I was very upset. It's been 5 days since, I'm keep asking the front desk and I haven't been given a replacement lock. The conduct was distasteful on evolutions part and I think, had the situation been rectified this review wouldn't have been posted.

While the gym itself is really nice, the front desk staff are usually rude and unpleasant. It's also worth mentioning that certain machines break every week or two, and sometimes don't get repaired for weeks and weeks.

This is located at East side of the city, they also have other 2 locations in regina , however I like this one more because this one has less traffic compared to other two locations. Everything you need for bodybuilding, cross fit , cardio etc are available here, The place is super clean and fulfilled with modern equipment. They also follow all the precautionary of Covid-19 , their stuff also friendly and reachable. I would highly recommend East Evolution fitness if you guys live east side of city.

Posting this so I remember to never buy a gym membership here. While the owner seems nice enough (they let the contract termination occur for free and apologized once they caught wind of this), the employees don't seem to be trained on customer service. Story Time: I know someone who loved Evolution Fitness' gym. They went there regularly, prepaid for personal training sessions, and recommended it to everyone who wanted to go to the gym to become healthier. They were devastatingly diagnosed with cancer and advised by doctors to stop straining physical activity. They sent a cancellation notice to the gym, described the situation at hand, and attached a doctor's note. This was all dismissed by Evolution Fitness. The associates said they will offer them a "convenient early termination fee of $199+TAX plus 2 bi weekly payments". They tried calling to clear it up, but the associate on the phone was unsympathetic - a gym membership contract was a gym membership contract. In fact, the gym refused to do anything until they posted on social media, causing an outcry of all of their friends and friends of friends. Evolution Fitness, take better care of your gym members. I know you're capable of being better. People shouldn't need to cause an outcry on social media to get an inch of customer service.

Good variety of equipment and lots of modern technology! Membership price is fairly decent. Staff is always willing to help. The gym is equipped with an aqua massager as well as a steam room. Change rooms are very clean and modern. Lockers with combinations exist if you don't have your own lock!

Gold's East is a nice gym. It's laid out quite well so when it's busy it's not a pain to move from equipment to equipment. The locker room is great, spacious modern and full of amenities like showers, steamroom and a sauna. The Keebo supplement store is basically inside of the gym and the employees there are very knowledgeable and helpful. It's a brand new gym with brand new equipment, the personal trainers seem to be quite involved and experienced. (not to mention, the Female trainers are all very attractive, the guys are OK too lol) My only issue is the music played, which seems to be the same 10 songs on repeat with some Nike commercials thrown in. I wear headphones so its not the end of the world but on the days I forget my headphones, some variety would be appreciated.

Its a good gym, pretty much has all the equipment you need. The person at the counter is usually nice. There's a separate women's only section and an athletes room. Due to covid some of the cardio machines are not usable because of social distancing but I've always found an elliptical or a treadmill. A lot of stuff is state of the art. The prices can be better and the contracts can be better but I guess the gyms have that way of making money. There's also a daycare there. I see the cleaning staff always working. Gym also has steam room and suana as well as executive change rooms in which you can have a personal locker.

Okay, April 2021 I signed up for a membership basic one! Someone a young man assisted me but he was the one who dealt it through computer , I was told that if I have to cancel it anytime I do not have any charges as long as it is not beyond a year of the time I signed up! I went to the Gym Until mid of May! Then not using it! I decided to cancel August 2021! I booked appointment to do that, then Aug. 4th a manager called to tell me I will get charged ! Now my concern is if you keep saying contract contract! Then your staff should let the person to atleast read the contract act and do the signing for it than the staff do it!!! I would recommend don’t trust this GyM!!!Not even 1 star!!

To sum it up: affordable, flexible, friendly and fun. Simply a great experience. This is the first gym I've found that makes it easy to begin and stay fit. The friendly and welcoming staff, trainers, and instructors make you feel comfortable regardless of how much or little experience you have. For a reasonably low affordable price, I get full access to all the equipment AND all the GGX classes. Between our kids and working an 8-4:30 typical job, it's hard to find time, but Gold's is open 24hrs, and has GGX classes as early as 6am and right into the evening; weekends too. (My favorites are the spin classes and the "Fight" workouts). It's difficult to commit to a schedule with such as busy life, but the flexibility of this gym makes it easy to do whatever I can, whenever, without feeling like I'm just wasting my money. This is great value.

Gold's Gym East is a beautiful gym. It has many unique features, including a fully private Ladies Only area right off the locker room. The finishes are amazing, and although I have yet to use the child care room, it looks great too! But above all, the Gold's Group Exercise room is the best. Large windows with natural light, a perfect stage, lots of room, and excellent instructors! The perfect place to work out.

I am writing this review with a serious note of protest against the evolution fitness gym located in the east end of regina. I came in today to have a tour of the facility. Upon entering, neither did the lady staff greet nor say hello even. I had to introduce myself and make the request for a tour. She left and called in a gentleman, who introduced himself much later as the general manager of the place. The experience with him was the worst sales pitch I have ever seen. No enthusiasm, No concern. No explanation of what the facility really offers. He was more interested in finding out about my personal information than I had to initiate asking questions about the facilities available . The attitude of this person was that I would not be interested in the gym, and that this tour is a waste of time. He did not even have the decency to motivate,, or encourage joining the gym. I asked him if this gym was the most popular in Regina, and his reply was that he doesn't know. Is it because I am a person of colour that he thought for the meagre gym member of 80 bux per month to be out of my budget? Did he assume that ? I asked him about the memberships, and for the monthly charge, his eyebrows went up saying that it would be more expensive. I don't think so. Awful place really. No cheer, no happiness. I have opted for the good life next door. At least the genetleman Nikita there showed some respect.

I wouldn't recommend people to sign up with them. Try to have a manager to address my issues, no one is contacting me. Karla Cruickshank Member Experience Manager McCarthy That person stops to contact me after she was supposed to put me in contact with a guy named Matt. After 2 weeks, no one has reached out to me. As a client, I am going to Downtown Evolution and the gym is closed on the weekend plus the sauna has been out since the pandemic. In addition, the gym was open until 6 pm most of the time after covid which were I first signed up, it was open until 9 pm. There have been many hours reduce + no possibility to train there on the weekend but the price remains the same. around 44 $ per month. I don't think I should pay that amount if, in my contract, it was mentioned that I could have access to my gym for 7 days until 9 pm + the sauna. I think they should have reduced the fees if they can't offer the same services as Covid. I am disappointed with you and will never come back to your gym again. Update Skye Kaiss have adressed my issues. He is the only one so far that help me with my issue. He was kind, respectful and punctual. He is impressive when it comes to communication. I would recommend to get in touch with him if u face any issues.

I love what I see from the guy and do to COVID-19, they are doing what they can to keep up with keeping it as clean and sanitized. Which I love it where there is more the one gym to use and not all in one space! It not overly that bad and the staff are doing what they can to keep you coming back every time! Which I would like your stass to have the training to know where things are jf they are working at the front door at the desk! When you get new members of the gym that may not k know where to go. Which I love having someone who can tell you where to go if needed when asked!! Try to make sure you have someone do a check as often as possible to make sure things are keeped up to COVID-19 standers so that the gym doesn't get closed down! Which I love to have place to get bacm into shape and stay safe well doing it. So keep up the good work and all that good stuff the members like to see from young to old....-

Took a 3 year break and decided to return to the east end. Wasnt too impressed with the mens washroom. It was dirty af. Hair and lint and toe nails everywhere....coudnt beleive the steam room is still junk..like replace the cap on the steam pipe already its been years! Its what helps create the steam! My feet burned for hours after i left the gym.....athletes foot now?? .. ...the floors were gross! We pay big membership fees for this..so you would expect everythjng to be maintained and operational.........come on management open your eyes.

I was once a member of the Original Gold's Gym in Winnipeg, this gym far exceeds it and exceeded my expectations. Equipment is well maintained, it is kept extremely clean, and all the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I look forward to being at the gym and I am there 5 or 6 times a week and keep seeing constant improvement, join you will not regret it.

Had a friend suggest I try out the East Evo, made an appointment with a rep to get my account and everything set up, gentleman had taken all of my information including card number to set up my account I had chosen, gave me my tag, my copy of the contract and everything so I thought I was good to go! Upon going to scan myself in to workout at the East, South and North locations my tag did not work! Whatever no big deal they just let me in because they thought it was tag/scanner error. The last time my tag didnt work I asked them to search up my name to scan me in (did not exist in system) weird.. asked them to search by phone number or email, still did not exist in the system.. okay.. basically got informed that I was a non existent member despite going through the official sign up process and the rep TAKING MY CARD NUMBER. Thank the lord I havent had any purchases come through but upon asking a rep all they told me was that there must have been a glitch in the system that removed all of my information, upon expressing my concern about my card number being taken and stating I just wanted to "cancel" the "membership" they told me there is no process because I didnt exist in the system to begin with so they just took my key tag back and told me to have a good day. Might've considered "officially" signing back up had someone expressed a little more care towards me and my issue.

This is my favourite gym! I love the extra amenities it has: the sauna is huge, the steam room is perfect after a heavy workout, having a women area with a squat rack is AMAZING. The floor plan is really unique here and I love seeing how the members and trainers utilize it (jumping squats up the stairs?!). The ride room is amazing, having the movie theatre style elevation makes ride that much more enjoyable. The staff is so friendly its gives a community vibe that I love. If you are looking for a new gym or a new class I would 100% recommend this gym!

Went to a yoga class last week... Instructor was supposed to be Adriana P. who neither showed up or let the front desk know she wasn't coming as they were clueless too. Very nice gym! Although, it id hard to used certain material (such as: the big exercise balls) when they are located in the class room. If there is class going on you are told not to enter, yet if I need that ball kind of beats the purpose of having them there if they are limited access and can cause frustration. Not much space between the width of machines. In general, a great atmosphere.

I recommend not getting involved with them .. horrible customer service. The manager is never around and all the ppl at the front desk can tell you is to go on the website. If you wanna cancel your membership be prepared to wait a minimum of 2 weeks to even speak to a manager for 5 minutes. Don't give these guys your banking information , the will try and drain your bank account for as long as they possibly can.

Great place lots of new equipment and now locally owned . Sounds like a few people still don't know what happened but these locations are separate from downtown and not the same company. There were letters as well as staff that informed me of the whole situation and its easy enough to understand. I also like that there are no more "special deals" for some and not for others. Everyone is getting up front price which is fair. No side deals straight forward. I can respect that! I heard the previous ownership transfer lots of members to their location downtown without members knowledge so you can't blame the new ownership for what the old ownership was doing....and clearly it was off cause they don't own the three big locations anymore.

I wanted to come on here and change my review as I don't believe it's a good representation of the new ownership. I recently had a collection company call me for a past due account, because the previous owners and staff gave me a combination of misinformation and lack of communication. However under the new ownership the issue has been completely resolved. While I do think there could still be some improvements to communication between the management and their clients, it is drastically better then what it used to be. Thank you to Michelle for reaching out to me and resolving this issue so promptly, perhaps one day in the future I would consider joining this gym again if they continue to provide this kind of service.

I was a member for 2 years then i went to a different gym the location was closer to my house, so yesterday i thought I'll give the new location try as I walked into the gym I realized that they still have the same bad front desk service like it's so bad really really bad that I couldn't take it i felt that I'm talking to bouncers ! Still the same issue as the old locations. ill give this gym a second try 2 months from now I really hope they fix the bad reception. There were 3 people At the front desk and none of them were helpful. The inside of the gym is nice but what really matters is how you are treated.

I also workout at the north and South as well. All the gyms have a bit of a different personality. Try them all and find which is the best fit for you

I have recently joined golds gym and love the location and staff. They are very courteous and friendly. I have a personal trainer who keeps me accountable. I work in a job whereby I never know if it will be a regular 8 hour day or suddenly 12 hours. Some days I can't make it due to my work. He has been very accommodating when these situations occur. I have been a member of gold's gym since the south location opened in 2008. I live in the east end of Regina and when I heard the east location was opening I was ecstatic. The new location is more than I dreamed it would be. As soon as I walk in I knew I was at home. Beautiful open floor plan, very clean and modern. There are many options for equipment and the gold’s group exercise rooms are hands down the best in Regina. So many options for group fitness classes. With a great variety of classes to choose from and times to fit your workout into your schedule. I also love the fact that I always have a friendly face looking out for me as I participate in the classes (no virtual machine telling me what to do). The ability to go to any of their four locations throughout Regina is perfect. I have never had a bad experience at this gym. The staff has all treated me like family from day one. If you are looking for a gym to make part of your life you need to check out Gold’s!!!!!

Also, there is a separate ladies only work out area right off the change room so you don't need to go into the co-ed gym if you would prefer that. It's awesome - highly recommend it

I love the new east gym. Its very modern and the classes are fantastic. I really love the incentive perkville program as I find it helps me get to the gym more often!

I joined in mid November to fight off the conditions of Diabetes. Since joining I have nearly exclusive positive comments to share. The facility is clean, bright, well equipped and convenient. I work out six to seven days per week from 2-3 hours. I cover resistance , aerobic and core in the same visits. I finish with a sauna/steam and a shower and feel invigorated and healthy. The staff are friendly and greet you at the door, some even know you by name. The trainers (although I have not used one) seem competent and diligent. Dima and I exchange greetings when I see him there. I have three of my high school football team kids working out there, and with some help with discounting I could bring in from five to ten more. Gold's Gym has blessed me with better health , inspiration and safe , clean and solid equipment. The East facility is a wonderful addition to the Gold's collective trust.

My friend and I went to this gym for the first time to check it out. We stayed about an hour. When we came back to the locker room, my shoes were gone. I kept them under the seat, and I could not find them anywhere. After I looked all around and ask the people about the shoes, I went to ask the customer service lady at the counter to get any information about lost and found. I just wanted to know if there is camera or any other way to find my shoes. However, she was unhelpful. Only thing she told me was she also lost her shoes before. Do you think this answer makes me feel better when i do not have shoes to go home!? lol

Love this new location! Absolutely clean, spacious and add those DJ sessions and the the atmosphere is just amazing. Friendly staff and great trainers to challenge you and motivate. Group classes are the BEST in town. Tell your DJs to pump up the volumes HIGH!

This gym is great! Very modern and bright! Women's change room has a great dry and steam sauna! Class are the best in town especially considering the price! Love that I have access to all 4 locations! Please add yoga to your class schedule!

A year ago I would have given this gym a good 4-star rating. Today they shouldn't even get 1-star from me. A day ago I went to workout at my usual 5am time and when I scanned my key tag the employee at the front desk told me it didn't work. I tried again and it still didn't work. He proceeded to look at my account and I was told it looked like I owed over $100. How is that possible since I saw my most recent bi-weekly amount come out of my account only 2 days prior. He did allow me to go do my workout and said he would give me a call later that day. I'm not even sure how long my key tag hasn't been working since most days when I sign in there is no one at the front desk to check. I ended up calling them later that morning and long story short I found out the location I've been going to for the past 2 years is no longer owned by the original owner and the downtown location is the only one I can go to now since my original contract (which I got at a discount through a corporate deal) is only valid there. What really angers me is I was never informed of any of this. I was told when I joined I could go to any location and out of the blue with no notice I'm told I can no longer go to the east location without cancelling at the downtown location and re-signing up at the east location (also for a much larger cost as they will not honor my corporate rate). While they did offer a new rate that I do say is pretty fair this whole situation has really made me wonder if it's smart to trust this gym at all.

I was so excited to finally get a Gold's Gym in the east end! The finishing touches on the building are beautiful it doesn't feel like you're walking into a gym. The choice of a steam or a sauna after your workout is a nice bonus! I like the ladies only area option, though one of the two treadmills in there was broken when I went and it would be nice to have a circuit of machines in there. The Ride area is very nice and the classroom is large. The paper towel and foam sanitizer makes it hard to properly clean down equipment when you are doing it in between classes. I like the variety of classes and especially like the 4:30 classes.

Evolution fitness has a great facility and great front line employees. However, there business practises can be shady, especially around cancellation. I enjoyed going there until I decided to cancel my membership for a year and now are trying to extend the process as long as possible trying to charge me in the meanwhile. For that reason I would not recommend them and would spend my money locally with a company operating in a ethical fashion.
