I went to this gym Monday thru Friday 5am for 3 years. The first thing was when they added peak plus and told me I wouldn't have to worry my rate for peak was grandfathered,(thanks Gabe) so I lost some perks but got to pay the same price. Secondly if you are not utilizing the trainers than you are a second class member when equipment usage is involved. Weights haphazardly strewn the lifting area with maybe half put away maybe, the spit all over the mirrors in front of the squat racks at 5 a.m. when they open, the constant need to have the desk person refill the spray disinfectant so I can wipe down the treadmill or whatever equipment before I use it, the removal of equipment because a few members misuse it , the complete lack of respect and actually aggressive disrespect projected toward myself when I inquired as to what happened. I continued to go to this gym because it was close to my house and when I felt that the staff not only didn't care but would be outright hostile towards me I just couldn't take it anymore. Solidifying my decision to cancel my membership was the complete nonchalant attitude by the staff assisting me.

This is my regular gym. The staff are super laid back and friendly which makes it easier to come into the gym everyday. Music choice is 85% spot on for a gym which as good as you can really ask for. There's enough room to move around to get your workouts done. Some of the equipment needs to be replaced, mainly mats as you'll read. I've never had a problem with the cleanliness of this gym. I feel like the people here in the reviews are bringing in white gloves looking for dust that isn't there. While I don't attend the classes they are always full because of the practical aspect of the exercises, gf says they're fun. Don't let this review speak for the gym, let the number of regulars speak for it. All of them are doing great in their progress!

I have been a Crunch member for 3 years. I just moved to this area and am trying out this location for the first time....and it will be my last. We are in the middle of a pandemic and it is clear this location has not been cleaned. The space, equipment and even the mirrors are filthy and I came in the minute it opened today. WAY too many people are not wearing masks and no employee is enforcing it.

This Crunch does a really good job with having ample cleaning supplies, sanitizer, and paper towels to keep all the equipment clean between gym members. It also hasn't been very busy at all so that makes it ease to maintain social distancing.

This is a review of management practices that I think are predatory and not the exercise facility itself. I have been a member of the gym for many years and have generally been satisfied with my experience. In March, everything shut down due to COVID including the gym. Then, apparently in June they opened back up, I did not receive any notice as such and apparently they had restarted applying charges to my account. 4 months later I received a notice that I was delinquent and would be sent to collections. I replied to the email going over the situation, the manager emailed me back and told me they sent out an email to everyone letting us know the gym was open again. I replied that I never received such an email and I have checked my email account and hadn't received anything from them in years. The manager never responded. I continued to get more emails about my balance, which I replied to and never got a response. I then called both the corporate office and the local branch to get this resolved. Both of them assured me the balance was resolved and no further action was needed; great. I then received a letter from their lawyers threatening to send me to collections. I called them and they would not debate this issue. I understand everyone including the gym is struggling with the current pandemic, but not even giving me the ability to discuss these charges with someone to resolve this issue before sending me to collections is unfair and I feel taken advantage of by my membership with this business. I was planning to get back to this gym when the pandemic had calmed down but now there is no way I would return nor advise anyone else to join (which I used to do all the time).

I go here to workout two times a week, I enjoy the staff and the atmosphere in the gym. The people are relatively nice and the place is usually clean. It's a nice place to workout.

My gym closed it's doors so I really only had 2 other options in my area. It was Crunch or 24hr Fitness. I went with Crunch because I like to stay focused on my work out when I'm at the gym and don't like waiting in line for a machine to open up. Crunch is big enough that you don't feel like you're working out on top of each other. The staff is courteous and doesn't interfere with your routine. I hate 24hr Fitness it's over crowded and people are too into how they look working out not how effective the work out actually is. Only 2 things I wish Crunch could fix is the funky smell from the A.C. and if they could get heavier dumbbells they only go as high as 80lbs.

Been going to crunch now for 3 years and this place has never disappointed me. Friendly staff and equipment is usually clean . There are peak hours so make sure you go at a time when it's not busy. It's usually super packed at night . A 30 min workout can 1hr just because u have to wait for certain equipment.

Looking for a new gym. I have been a member at Total Woman for years- membership has expired. I live near Crunch and wanted to give it a try since i have not yet but I am surprised on two things: (1) the number of customers commenting on the lack of clean equipment and (2) the owner only responding to positive reviews. I have not seen any reviews that have responded the the customers concerns. No business is perfect but it is the attention to customers concerna and details that make such an impression to future customers.

This gym is closest to where I live. Decent pricing for yearly memberships. The staff is friendly. There's a good amount of equipment. Most need cleaning though; they're on the dirty/dusty side. And some machines could use some maintenance. Be sure to wipedown your equipment before (and after) using because a lot of people don't do the courtesy wipedown when they're done (so gross). They also offer various classes. They have a big workout dance room. Overall, a good place to break a sweat.

This place is so beyond DIRTY! I sent an email a while back and of course I never heard back. The people that “work” here sure are laid back, so much so that they don’t even bother to do their job. Clean machines? Where?! Not in this gym. Finally cancelled my membership and joined somewhere else. I see that even on here the “owner” only replies to the posts giving them praise. I know people come here to work out and sweat but come on, I’m sure somewhere in the job description it says you must clean. Was a member a few years back and the place was already looking run down but right now it is the worst I have ever seen it.

This is a nice location with the recent renovations. They have all the machines I like using and I'm lucky there's no wait. They have several classes available like Zumba and Yoga. You can also pay for a personal trainer to help you with your exercise routine.

Upon cancellation of your membership, months later you will receive a letter from their collections agency. After running in circles trying to get answers from someone, they will tell you about hidden fees that were not disclosed to you when you cancelled your membership but made zero attempts to contact you or charge your card that was still valid and on file. So if you care about your credit, pick another gym.

Never sign up with Crunch gyms. I was a member for years at Crunch and during the beginning of 2020 they closed the location near my house because of the COVID pandemic. I called the corporate office to cancel my membership because I could not go in-house to cancel and they told me my membership was cancelled. Not only was it not cancelled but in July of 2021 they sent a debt collector to harass me and collect payment for all the months I apparently had missed. Never did they call me or make any attempt to contact me except through an old e-mail address that was invalid. I called after receiving this letter and asked if Crunch would help me out as I know lived in a different state with my pregnant wife. They said they would not take away the debt, nor would they even reduce the debt and when I asked why they never tried to call me earlier they just said “this is how we do things”. Extremely unprofessional. What sharks. Money hungry when they have people suffering financially through this pandemic. I will never sign up at a Crunch ever again. The manager Brandon was rude and could care less about the situation. He just wanted his money.

I was a member at this gym for 4 years and literally watched the gym get dirtier and dirtier year after year. I finally couldn't take it anymore and left for Fitness 19 in Brea. It is great to be in a gym where the owner is present and holds staff accountable unlike Crunch with an out of state owner and nobody developing the staff. I even attempted to contact the owner in New York to share the concerns but I did not get a response.

Reasonably priced memberships for a great gym. The circuit training equipment is a little dated but it gets the job done if it's working. Front desk are kind, showers and restrooms are normally clean, good amount of deadlift platforms for squatting too. Lots of cardio machines. Their hiit zone has turf, plenty of bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, sleds, landmines, and battle ropes. No pool or decline bench press. Plenty of dumbbells and they go up to 80lbs. They also have classes here too. 5 stars for the low price and the amount of value you get when you're at this gym.

For 10 dollars a month, you can't get much better. Plenty of machines and treadmills and even has a hexbar for deadlifts. All the equipment you need for a good workout for any muscle group. I don't go to the classes much, but my girlfriend says they are pretty average for gym classes. I've had personal trainers go out of their way to give me pointers when they're not busy with clients. Can get busy around lunch and when work gets out. Be warned, if you want access to the spa/tanning facilities or want to go to more than one location you'll have to upgrade to the $20/month plan.

Crunch won't let you cancel easily. I needed to cancel my membership and both their corporate offices in NY and their local gym told me that both my wife and I have to go into the gym and provide a signature to cancel the membership. I told them that if they are unable to cancel my membership over the phone, even after they have verified who I am by asking security questions, then I would just have my credit card cancel the billing. They then told me that Crunch will pursue me with collection actions! You want to guarantee that I will never become a customer again? Make it difficult for me to cancel and then threaten collection action because I won't cancel the way you want!

This isn’t a bad gym, and it could be way better. But the staff here is very lazy. They are always at the front just talking. Managers and all. Getting on some of the equipment it’s very clear that besides someone maybe wiping their sweat off of it from time to time, they haven’t been cleaned. I went to this gym about 5-6 days a week for about 3-4 months and never once saw one employing cleaning anything. They would just stand at the front desk talking and very often were watching YouTube videos on their phones. I haven’t been there in a while, but a friend of mine goes there currently and brought this up before I even mentioned anything about it. So apparently nothing’s changed. Again, not a bad gym. I wouldn’t avoid it. But it could be way better with just a small amount of effort.

Due to COVID-19, I stopped using facility but was still paying my monthly fee. After 7 months of not using this facility, I called them to pause my membership. They said they can only do it for 2 months. Unfortunately I missed my membership date and they charged me a Annual membership Fee and resumed my monthly membership too. My Point: 1.If they don't have email alerts or reminders about payment fee resuming, they should contact their customers. Indeed they take advantage of people's busy life's 2. I emailed them explaining the whole thing, no one contacted me back or replied to me. Such a waste of money investing on careless Management!!

Total joke. My son cancelled his membership a week after four months and he was billed for the month he didn't use and hit with an annual fee. I asked if they would pro-rate either and they were completely inflexible. So beware, if you don't cancel within four months they will bang you for the year.

I paid $27 and they "Accidentally Double Charged Me" the guy who helped me was Jordan and he told me that he was gonna leave a note to the manager and that they were gonna refund my money. I don't know who the heck is the manager but I haven't received my money back. It's been 3 weeks already and nothing. I called 3 times and they said that they will notify the manager or who ever is in charge to take care of the situation, but he has not done nothing.Really bad service. I don't know if it's the workers or the manager but really bad service. So I have decided to go to another gym and cancel crunch.

Biggest complaint is the cleanliness of the equipment. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months/years. Some of the mats are in dire need of replacement. I like the atmosphere but I have noticed some days they blast the music too loud. That's a turn off. The staff are nice BUT they can definitely use some customer service training and not constantly using their cell phones ignoring what's going on around them. There is one guy that is VERY nice and always acknowledges when you leave the gym. Would I come here if there were another gym just as close? No, not unless they started to look after the equipment.

Disappointing overall experience with this location, it’s no wonder that a different location is suggested when looking up the nearest Crunch, which is almost 10 MILES AWAY! VS a 1.5 mile location right down the street. This would be correct because I would never suggest that anyone go to this Crunch. Poor business practices and they put the blame on their customers, don’t expect any customer service from them besides charging your account without any explanation or anything. OH AND THEY WILL HAVE THEIR TRAINERS TEXT YOU BUT WONT NOTIFY YOU ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES SIGNING UP EVEN IF YOU HAVE A MEMBERSHIP ALREADY BEWARE!!!

Signed up for a membership, continued to get multiple emails about signing up still...unsubscribed but then annual fee charges without any confirmation or anything. I shouldn’t be receiving all their weekly spam to see when the annual renewal was. I reach out to them for support and they take forever to respond. I would avoid at all cost, canceling current membership as soon as they finally decide to respond. Edit: 11:00 PM Reached out to the address at noon and communications stopped after the first response. Wanted to get this frustrating situation resolved but the communication issues continue.

Staff here is very professional and friendly, BUT the gym is FILTHY! All surfaces in the gym are GRIMEY! Underneath every machine or piece if equipment there is a visible layer of filth. I'm not a clean freak or anything, so I'm not exaggerating. Management needs to address this issue asap.

It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. If you're into weight lifting, be prepared to wait for equipment. There's 2 flat benches, 2 incline benches, and 1 squat rack. Not counting anything like a Smith machine. Sometimes there's not enough bars.

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for a month now. And as soon as I get a response which by the way I was told when I called. That the only way to cancel was in person and through the app. Which I decide to do through the app since I couldn’t rely on my car at the moment and still can’t. Not only did I send emails, I had to wait 48 hours for a response. On top of that I’ve been charged 2 months and a annual fee already. Brandon the “Manager “ needed prove that I was trying which I had. Now he tells me I needed to give 30 days in advance and he can’t refund me for the 2 months or annual fee. To summon this up I just got money stolen and no access to their gym, which I don’t care. But I’ve got my money stolen. FYI people if you’re looking for a gym stay away from Crunch Gyms. You guys will get hidden lies that are never mention. Worst customer service and bad communication, so call easy way.
