I began training with Miranda Gibson in February of 2020, she assessed my goals and created a plan for how to achieve those goals. Her in person workouts are challenging and motivating. When the pandemic hit I continued my training with her online via her Zoom classes. She offers creative programming 6 days a week, has kept me engaged, motivated, moving and strong. I am stronger than I have ever been and that's because she pushes you with variety in training so you can build a stronger better you. She also created a meal plan for me to help in achieving my goals. Her recipes focus on nutritious and delicious meals that aren't so complicated that you need a chef to recreate them. Without the training, guidance and support of Miranda Gibson Fitness I wouldn't have been able to maintain, let alone grow stronger through the pandemic. And I swear her online classes are the only thing keeping me sane most days.

I started with Miranda’s zoom classes in March, when the first lockdown happened. I’m not someone who has ever been able to stick to a fitness routine, however, with Miranda’s motivation, affordable classes, and dynamic workouts I continue to workout with her…9 months later! I love her workouts and they have actually impacted my body, obviously the NUMBER ONE reason I have continued her zoom classes. Another big reason that’s kept me coming back is the ability to schedule classes via an app (super convenient). This kept me accountable! Miranda really cares about her clients and it shows. She keeps track of everyone’s progress, status of their body/strength and knows how to modify every move. She is just the best. I’m so proud of the changes I’ve seen in my body and strength and I can’t thank her enough. Thank you Miranda <3

Working out with Miranda has been amazing in a time when many of my other normal physical activities are no longer possible. I feel like I am in great shape thanks to these regular workouts which are now done virtually over Zoom. Miranda draws on her extensive fitness knowledge and experience in designing the workouts, focusing on different muscle groups while keeping things interesting and using minimal equipment that people commonly have at home. Miranda will take into account your physical limitations with workout modifications. When I injured my shoulder she took this into account and not only offered modifications but was always checking in for feedback to make sure that it wasn't too much. Having started with Miranda doing occasional in-person group training, I was hesitant at first with the transition to virtual workouts, but I have found it to be very convenient. The set class times keep me accountable where working out alone would be easy to procrastinate. As the weather got colder I moved up to 4 classes per week as I am not playing ball hockey this winter. It's great to have the option to choose from the 6 regularly scheduled classes which include 2 HIIT classes per week.

Having been on my fitness journey for many years I thought I knew and was doing everything I needed to regarding training and weightloss. In 2019 I hit a plateau that I couldn't push past. Miranda suggested I join her bootcamp to experience a different kind of training. The high energy high intensity interval training of bootcamp was exactly what I needed. I saw results both physically and mentally within a week. The bootcamp program was very challenging but a lot of fun and so successful that I decided to take it to the next level and begin personal training in the winter of 2019/2020. During this time I made great strides in my fitness goals. Miranda's training programs ensured that each muscle group was worked thoroughly with many new and interesting variations of lifting techniques. Her guidance and knowledge helped greatly with my form and yielded the often allusive GAINS. When everything pivoted to online with the pandemic in spring 2020 MGF didn't miss a beat and created interactive programming through zoom that used lighter weights and basic household items to keep me on track with my goals in the absence of the gym. Classes are always fun, fresh, and challenging with a great group of participants. It is rare to look forward to seeing your trainer but I've always been excited for my next class or next session with Miranda and I can't wait to continue through 2021 and beyond at Miranda Gibson Fitness!!

Miranda was my nutritionist for 12 weeks this year. She regularly checked in with me throughout the entire process. I found her to be quite accommodating to my food likes/dislikes building my meal plans each week. Her ability to find recipes that worked well with my family and work life was phenomenal. The recipes were easy to make and extremely delicious, which has made it easy to continue to maintain my weight loss months after working with her. She helped me achieve my goal of eating healthier and losing weight. Aside from the weight loss, she helped me to understand how to balance indulgences and healthy eating without feeling guilty. I have been a firefighter for many years with Toronto Fire, and would workout on a fairly regular schedule at a gym in my neighborhood. My workout would be considered by some as "old school" with typical weight training, and cardio etc. I have never had a personal trainer before, but I had noticed Miranda training her clients in the gym and definitely noticed her drive, experience, and obvious love for training. I decided to try something new for me. I discussed with Miranda that I was not feeling as physically fit as I would like as a firefighter, and could almost describe it as being in a "rut". Miranda designed a program for me that not only helped me lose weight, but increased my strength , and functional movement for my job. During the Covid lock down, she set me up with a home workout routine that would help anyone stay physically fit! Miranda has so much knowledge in health and fitness to keep you living your every day life without ever feeling restricted! Her meal plans are full of nutritious and filling meals. She has you literally eating 5x a day so you will never feel hungry! Especially when she has you eating the right amounts for the what you need to feel content. Her work out plans are simple too - 30-45minutes. She works with you and how your body moves to get you the maximum results! With her guidance i lost 17lbs in 3 months just eating and working out without ever feeling hungry! Her meal plans allow for indulgence - this is life...without indulgence we allow ourselves to binge eat. She knows that fad diets never work - so she works around your lifestyle to make it happen for you! You will not go wrong with following any MGF plans! You have come to the right place :) you will not be disappointed!
