Do NOT do personal training here. The trainers are unreliable and try to get you in a contract that is hard to get out of. I have been paying for PT for years now and it is difficult to actually get appointments for the banked sessions I have already paid for so long ago. It is nearly impossible to contact who you need to reach. I have had money taken out of my account unexpectedly multiple times. Horrible experience.

Crunch fitness is the BIGGEST SCAM EVER. I have cancelled my membership with them over a year ago when COVID first hit because they kept charging me even though their gym was closed. I cancelled in summer 2020 and they still charged me a few months later in December. I have tried emailing them, calling them and NOTHING. Now months later they just charged me almost $100 bucks. I won’t even bother calling or emailing these fraud people and their fraud company. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM EVEN AFTER COVID. It is a scam.

There are many things about this gym that still needs to be improved. My first complaint is about the membership perks. I paid for the Peak Plus membership which is about $30/month as I wanted to have the benefit of joining the classes that they offer. It seems like during the classes, the instructors/members of staff don’t really check what your membership is and really let anyone come into the classes which I find quite unfair. My second problem is that there needs to be twice the amount of mirrors. There are only mirrors by the free weights and on one other wall by the squat racks and it’s constantly squished full of people. There aren’t any mirrors in the ladies area nor in their “boot camp” area. Lastly, the hours need to be extended. Their competitors like Fit4Less and Planet Fitness are all 24 hours a day, everyday. I work and end at 5:30pm almost every Sunday and find it hassling to try and rush myself to the gym before they close at 7pm. Other than that, it’s a very spacious gym with music that’s up to date. I like how they have water fountains, free wifi and showers but then again, I can get that from their other competitors and might consider switching back to Fit4Less.

Great price great equipment could use more walk through washrooms and lockers many times I’ve notice rags, garbage on the floor, toilets not clean...shower curtains are just short of the opening of enclosure and really cheap. No Kleenex on the equipment floor which means you have to walk to the washroom. Lockers are small.

One of the better low cost gyms in London. Has an amazing box/CrossFit area but if they’re having classes there, be prepared to be told you can’t be there. Bummer. There’s also a women’s only side for those females that are a little more shy with their workouts. It’s usually pretty empty there so if one of the machines I want to use on the main floor is taken, I cruise on over to the women’s side. Seems like a lot of bodybuilders like to come here so that can be kind of intimidating sometimes. Their membership costs just went up also. They used to be only $20 if you wanted to bring a guest but it’s now $30 I believe but they still have their basic $10/month if you’re not interested in classes or using the massage or tan beds.

Was told there is an early cancellation fee for my contract. Suffered a major concussion at work which caused me to miss a couple monthly payments + personal trainer payments. Told I can only cancel my contract if I pay everything up front, and was told if I wanted to cancel my PT I have to give them a months notice, but you can't cancel until Inpay what is owing, plus the cancellation fee up front, until then they will keep billing me. So essentially they plan to keep billing me, even though I've asked them to cancel my membership. No policy in place for medical distress or injury, where places like GOODLIFE offer you a highly discounted price ($5/month I think) if you have a medical reason. They don't care and said it's their policy and they can't change it. I was okay with paying my missed month payment and cancellation fee (back in november when I first asked) Now its feb, nobody is willing to help, and the best they can do is give me a 1 month credit to give me time to pay everything up to date, even though I PHYSICALLY can't use the facility, and have asked to CANCEL my membership. This is MALICIOUS behaviour and unfair to the customer, especially when you offer no contract prices for just a few dollars more a month.

I became a member of Crunch in Sept 2019 with personal training. In Feb 2020 before the pandemic, suddenly my personal trainer was transferred to the South location. Crunch Fitness North was responsible for providing me a new one but didn't and kept charging me, accumulating 17 sessions valued at $113 for two, which was breaking contract on their end. When the pandemic hit they stopped payments, and once the gyms opened, I put on membership on hold based on that I'm health care provider and did not feel safe using the membership. In July 2021 I cancelled my membership via doctor's note. I have contacted several staff regarding a refund, and they say they will get back to me and that was August 2021, still no response or refund. This is extremely frustrating and I do not recommend them as they rip you off.

This business charges a low price for monthly membership. Only $10, which seemed too go to be true. They make a lot of their money in extra fee's. If you cancel your membership within one year they charge you $100 cancellation fee which is a 1000% increase from the monthly membership. If you sign up for the $20 VIP package (massage beds) and decided you don't like it you are not allowed to downgrade to the $10 package until one year is up and there is no reason for this other than greed. The worst one though, if your credit card or debit card bounces and you are late they will charge you a $35 late fee which is a 250% increase from the regular monthly payment of $10 and there is NO FIRST TIME FORGIVENESS incentive. I had to get my credit card switched because of some problems on my bill and I received an email from World Gym saying I had and outstanding balance and couldn't believe that they charged me a 250% late fee. A late fee should NEVER be more than 40-50% and if it somehow is more than that there has to be a one time forgiveness policy. The extra fee's are insane and when I asked the woman at the front desk (and I was being kind) about the late fee she didn't even know the name of the third party company who instills it. I explained that a late fee of 250% is absolutely terrible business practice. If you decide to go to World Gym (they do have a beautiful facility) sign up for the standard package only and use direct deposit (not a credit card).

Love this gym! Equipment selection is good plus they're all new so that's a bonus. I've been in a few times so far and have enjoyed my time there. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming! The only improvements I'd suggest are mats and battle ropes.

Some of their equipment needs maintenance. Some equipment paddings are ripped due to over use and doesn't look like they are in a hurry to have them fixed. I signed up recently and they were out of key fobs so I didn't get one. A week later they still didn't order additional fobs to hand out to new members. I get an impression that satisfaction of members are not their top priority. Hoping for this trend ro change soon otherwise I will consider joining a different gym.

I got a call the next day saying there was an issue with my MasterCard and I’d have to come in to make my first payment and get my banking info figured out. I decided to just not go and cancel getting a membership. Now 4 months later I wake up and look at my bank statement to see I was charged 249 dollars today for outstanding fees? I’ve never even stepped foot in your gym, why would I pay a yearly service fee? Why would I pay anything? I’ve literally never been there. Look up these people with the better business bereuax and you’ll see they’re known for really bad contracts and totally screwing people over. they literally stole money from me. I’ve never used their services. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE CROOKS.

If I could give zero stars i would. Manager has always been very rude and due to second wave of covid I wanted to cancel my membership after only a month and they would not wave the annual fee. So I have to pay an extra 60$ for nothing because I won't be using the gym now in the second wave of a global pandemic. Should also mention when I went in to give my signature and cancel I was told the annual fee would be waved. Poor business, super poor management lesson learned will not be going back and would not recommend. Way better gyms out there.

Closed due to covid, not once have I set foot inside due to them closing a week after I signed up my partner and myself. Reopened without calling/emailing me and promptly charge the FULL years fee plus a late fee totaling over $200, even though they were closed for half the year. Reported this to them at the START of August and its been almost 3 months that they have been "processing" the refund. At this point Im not sure when if ever it will be refunded and at this point the whole experience has left me so sour to it that I will not be using them as my gym of choice. I can't speak for the quality of the gym as I have never experienced it, but the poor handling of the reopening and subsequent issues is what gained them the 1 star, and I would give them zero stars but the on site staff I have spoken too are always friendly and as helpful as they can be. There seems to be no cooperate number to contact to gain more information on what is happening and that lack of ability to reach out in any form is frustrating to say the least.

*** After firing me for no reason, the franchise owner had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to sign up as a regular paying member *** If you're looking to get a job here, be prepared for: -miscommunication or lack thereof -being asked to perform duties outside your qualifications and/or job title -being provided false information, which translates to how your customers are informed about amenities they are paying for but don't have access to (tanning beds, massage beds, sauna) -working with poisonous franchise owners that do not actually care about the customer or their part time staff. -little to no training or feedback from management -no ACTUAL customer service manager to report to, just franchise owners -overall chaos I was given no reason for termination immediately after coming in the weekend prior to make up for another employee that quit unexpectedly. Note that this termination was just shy of 7 days of my three months' probation. I asked why, and the owner would not give me a concrete reason (I know she's not obligated to, but clearly had no reason other than the fact that she did not like me). Also note that their manager-in-training watches pornographic materials on the front desk computers. Keep that in mind, ladies. If you want a sub-par facility with false information and a fitness/personal training manager with absolutely no qualifications for the position, only biological relation, no basketball nets or balls, no massage beds, tanning beds or sauna, this is the place for you. You've been warned.

About a year ago I signed up for the $30 membership plus personal training which i spent over $100 a month on. I had some medical issues go on last year and had called to freeze my account. Since then I have still been charged. I have called 4-5 times (every single time I’m charge), and they say the same thing “we see your account is frozen, we will email head office”. This has been going on for months now and today I was charged $83. I did not have $83 in my bank account, and so it bounced and my bank charged me $48 for it bouncing. This has been a frustration the past year, no one has gotten back to me, and they have been super difficult to deal with.

I've been a guest at this gym for many months now. My mom has a Peak Results Membership with Crunch. Pros: -staff are kind -lots of equipment -great environment Cons: -lack of mirrors -disarray of equipment -lots of members don't wipe up after themselves -non-working cameras/lack of safety My car was broken into at Crunch Fitness. I always park in front of the camera they have pointing out to the parking lot. My car window was smashed and my backpack was stolen. When I asked the front desk associate to check the cameras, I was told that they are not running/there for show. Kinda heartbreaking, but what made it worse was that the front desk associate said that there have been multiple car windows being smashed. There has been no communication between members and staff about this, and no signs posted. Be careful.

I have joined and have been taking my Dad to his first ever Gym. Together our Experience has been Great. Every time we are Greated with a smile and the people in the morning are friendly. The gym is always maintained clean. I can see the personal trainers take there time with there clients and seem very positive. We almost always see the same people working out, nothing to fear. We are all there for the same reason, to improve our mental and physical health.

These guys have a baby sitting facility inside the gym, message chairs, sauna and other classes. No wonder LA fitness is out of business!! Check it out !!!

When I first joined I had a pretty good experience - nice gym, just the right amount of facilities, friendly staff, overall I liked the experience I was having with them. However, because of a new baby I cancelled my membership in August. Despite the cancellation Crunch continued charging my bank account (and is still charging it) and hasn't been able to give me an estimate on when my account will actually be cancelled. In short, they're stealing from me, and they're stealing from people who don't check their bank accounts. This is *completely* unacceptable, which is too bad because they have a nice gym and I was planning to return once Covid was over.

Fosters a dude bro environment, not inclusive at all. They have no policy in place to prevent guys jacked on steroids hogging ten machines at once. Was literally yelled at by some beef cake for trying to use the squat rack when he was no where near it for ten minutes. When I brought it up to the staff they said it didn’t violate their rules, it’s just “rude.” No duh. Guess I’ll have to stick to the small, secluded women’s area, since they have no desire to make policies that foster an inclusive environment for ALL paying customers. Save your money and go to planet fitness.

If you cancel your membership they won't actually cancel it. Even though they make you physically come in and sign to cancel AND send you a document that says the cancellation is completed, they will keep billing you. I cancelled 3 months ago. They told me that they couldnt put a stop payment to the coming month so my membership would be valid for one more month and I had to pay for that month. Well, now Ive been charged for 2 more months and anytime I call they say head office is behind on cancellations and they can't tell me when my cancellation will actually be done. So I might be charged even more times going forward. I asked for head offices phone number and they said they dont have one! They also told me that my refunds won't be released to me until my membership is actually cancelled which again, they don't know when that will be. It says on my document 4-6 weeks to get my refund and the girls response was "that was before COVID". I told her I will put a stop payment on my card from them and she said that I won't get my refunds if I do that. What a joke. Literally stealing money because they need it to stay open. I will be reporting them to my bank for fraud & I sure as hell hope they get sued and shut down.

Your staff are knowledgeable, and if they don't know something they find out.. Your Facility, is *Safe, including equipment... I had the pleasure to meet Laura (Personal Trainer) for Crunch Fitness.. Laura is not only Educated, she had a way of making you feel comfortable. Thank you. The staff help you when you ask, the locker rooms are safe and clean. Excellent gym, great members, great staff and new equipment! Very open and spacious, with 5 squat racks. All the qualities of a Goodlife for 1/3 the cost. Only negative is the weekend hours, 24 hours during the Week, then 7-7 on the weekend when most shift workers I know start at 730 and go for 12.

Decent sized gym, but equipped horribly. None of the bars have a knurl in the middle making it not only uncomfortable, but dangerous to squat. The knurl on the outsides is very weak. Most of the machines are good. The Olympic section is good but could use the proper bars. Lots of cardio equipment too for those interested. Staff are very friendly and willing to help with any questions.

I've had my membership for 6 months now so I feel I can provide a concise review. It's a positive atmosphere, generally clean and good equipment options. There are a couple huge downfalls for an avid gym goer. As I write this review from the treadmill, 75% of the people working out right now are jammed in the only weight area where the free weights are by the mirror. It is ALWAYS this way and I'm disappointment that management haven't noticed the poor use of space. I catch myself mentally rearranging the space to something that's makes sense for us who lift weights so we aren't always jammed into the tiny space. I would go into the women's area but there aren't any mirrors in there OR the other frequently empty area that has weights, boxing and crossfit equipment. When I toured the place before getting my membership I ask why there aren't more mirrors and they said mirrors were coming that week.. (remember 6 months ago) The staff are iffy. Sometimes they acknowledge you and sometimes they don't. Not the most approachable. When I offered my feedback on the layout to staff 10 minutes ago, she was defensive and suggested I start going to the new location opening up on the other side of town. 3 stars at best, but tonnes of potential here.

I was also charged a fee that was never reimbursed and it’s been a year! I gave up every staff kept giving me the same excuse every time I called and good luck trying to resolve anything with head office. you pay for what you get I guess!

Horrible gym. It smells and is damp because the showers are at the very back of the gym. I asked 2 different staff about the cancellation policy and got answers that were different from my contract each time. The manager lied to me and told me I had to make an additional payment and refused to cancel my account (in violation of my contract) and was incredibly rude about it. There is little variation in class times if you like group fitness, although the instructors are nice, I will give them that. Staff really seem to not know a damn thing about their policies and they will try to scam you into paying more. Each branch has their own policies and its difficult to obtain contact information for crunch canada if you have a concern. I would not recommend unless you plan on using the gym for the rest of your damn life.

You get what you pay for! It’s cheap! It is busier and gungier (but less expensive) than fit4less and planet fitness. They need to better utilize their square footage! The place is massive yet they have most of their popular equipment and free weights jammed together. It is not super pleasant having everyone squashed into a small area to work out! Do better!

I started in November 2017 and feel I can give an honest review. I chose Crunch because of the childcare they offer (and the girls do a great job) they are limited with the amount of kids they can take, which is understandable and spots fill up fast, even when you reserve a spot it can be given away if the front staff and childcare person are not communicating. The amount of members has increased and they need more staff in childcare but when you bring this up they say they are in the process of getting another worker....but never do. This is frustrating as this was a major selling point of the gym for me but I hardly get to utilize childcare. Besides that: woman's area is small with no fan for the air to get around and no mirrors to watch your form. General area is also lacking mirrors with everyone crammed into one spot. Big boring cardio area. Tvs have about 4 channel options with no audio...have to read the screen. Steriod use. Some positive: staff is nice. Gym is clean. They have a wide variety of equipment for use (punching bags, ropes, kettlebells, med balls). Price is right.

Spacious, various choice of machines, good layout and sufficient amount of dumbbells, barbells and all that other gyms have. However, I am not sure if the gym is supervised by someone or not. It is hard to see someone at the front. I left my water bottle outside washroom for couple seconds and its gone when I came back. I asked the cleaner who were cleaning the area at the moment and he said he threw it in garbage bag for safety reason. It wasn't a disposable bottle but it was a shaker bottle. As long as you are careful with your belongings that might be thrown to garbage bag for safety reasons, it is an affordable gym with average workout environment.

Awesome, spacious gym with various machines and specialty equipment. My only suggestion would me replenishing the clean towels more often, a few more stair climber machines and new tanning beds (the floor gets WAY too hot and they feel like they are going to fall apart).

I have been trying to cancel my subscription 6038-05787 since August this year. I was told to send another request in December (which I did) since my subscription was put on hold during the first lockdown. To my surprise, my subscription was automatically renewed on Nov 30th without considering my previous request. I need a total refund of the renewal fee and the cancellation of my subscription and nobody replies to my emails.

The gym could be really good with some work but as of right now it’s lacking, here’s the pros and cons. Pros: Cheap, variety of machines, clean Cons: Too busy for size, only 4 benches which you always have to wait for, change room is horrible it’s small crowded and doesn’t have enough benches to sit on or set your gym bag on, you usually have to set everything on the floor, also it’s always humid from showers and sauna everything is always wet no ventilation, lockers too small, you always have to hunt for barbell plates there are barely any racks they’re scattered all over various machines and never see staff in gym organizing the weights like they do at every other gym Overall I wouldn’t go at the current time, you spend half of your time waiting for people to move out of your way in the change room and ther other half waiting for benches, machines and weights. Change rooms need attention to even be considered average. Not on par with goodlife or any other gym I’ve been too.

I was issued two refunds for charges after cancelling my membership. It has now been over 1 year since the refunds were approved but I still have yet to actually receive the refund!

Plenty free weights and strength training machines and clean facility. Not sure how long this facility has been open for but seem like it's far from completely finished (walls partially painted, virtual absence of wall mirrors).

Although I have overheard some men saying some pretty ridiculous things to women who very likely just wanted to be left alone. Leave the ladies be, guys, you're not impressing anyone. Caught low-key shade from 1 member, once, but he probably had insecurities that he was projecting onto me. - Not really $10/month membership; there are $60 in additional fees yearly. - Unreasonably strict rules about no chalk (I clean up after myself)! There actually used to be signs posted on the wall that read: "Anyone who uses chalk will have their membership revoked IMMEDIATELY." Authoritarian nonsense without reason. It is safer for the lifter & everyone around them if they use chalk on a heavy lift, & the chalk can be wiped up with the paper towels and cleaning solution provided all over the gym. I can't believe I even need to explain this, but there it is. - Weight plates are usually disorganized, have never seen staff sorting. - 1 TV has been flickering for weeks, 1 low wall is patched with duct tape & should have been repaired or removed years ago. - Sometimes play music with racial slurs in it. I listen to rap too (although mine is better) but I don't project it over a public sound system! - No mirrors in power lifting area (in fairness, this may not actually be practical, given the layout). - Tacky paint job, ugly colors (Subjective? Take a poll & find out!)

BUYER BEWARE! Save your money! Horrible place of buisness. %100 rip off. ADDITION: I just finished my year contract with them. I called to remind them my year is up and I do NOT wish to continue doing business with them. I was informed that my contract was up, however I would have to pay an additional 2 months ($50) after my contract was up! I do NOT have any outstanding payments or owe them anything. They are literally charging me an additional $50 because i do not wish to continue using their services AFTER MY CONTRACT WAS UP! This company had extremely poor business practices. BUYER BEWARE.

I’ve been to every single gym in London Ontario. I can easily tell you, this is the absolute worst gym in the city, and for a number of reasons: 1. U pay the same membership as those who go to the south location, even though that location is BRAND NEW WITH WORKING EQUIPMENT. 2. Their employees don’t give a s%#* about their job and don’t even greet or engage with members what so ever, there is numerous times the paper towel or disinfectant bottle isn’t even refilled or present …. Like we are literally in a pandemic. 3. The members at this gym are filthy rodents who never wear deodorant, don’t clean their equipment after drenching sweat all over it, and wear some questionable gym gear. 4. The roof is literally dripping with some type of liquid in multiple areas of the gym… like are you kidding me just get a renovation done. 5. The washrooms/change rooms are in desperate need of a renovation, half the lockers are broken probably from theft, and the sinks and toilet are absolutely filthy. I wish I can honestly give this gym a NO STAR rating but I have to at least put one to post this. DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!!!!!!

locker rooms smell, dumbbells and weights are never sorted properly, benches are too narrow and it usually smells in the rat of gym due to large groups of people clearly not wearing deodorant. could be a 4 star gym if they tried a little harder and maybe actually finish the place

I have been here for almost 6months now, so far l like it. Have few complaints, one being that l paid for peak membership but like somebody mentioned everyone else still gets the perks without paying more. I love doing the hiit classes but sometimes there are no instructors to teach the class, classes start later than scheduled or the instructor just sucks. When you are an instructor and you are not correcting form of your participants that is not a good look at all. Also maybe they need to offer orientation for new members, l have seen too many bad techniques l feel sorry for these high school kids because their knees will be shot in no time. Even some adults new to fitness need orientation to familiarize themselves. The staff is friendly, sometimes you get a hi and sometimes not. Its a hit and miss with them. Best times to workout are early morning, lunchtime and night time after 10pm, tends to be empty, no waiting for machines.

Do not get a membership here , when you got cancel they will tell you to call customer service and customer service will tell you to go into location , they will try to put it through your account four times even of it nsf already , even after you cancel it takes another month to process and they keep billing you in the mean time

DONT GO HERE! I have been trying to quit for over 2 months and they're aware and blocking me anyway they can. I called the head office and they told me the manager given my situation could have froze my account or canceled via email. 2 options I asked for repeatively for the last 2 months of trying to quit. They refuse and say you need to come in person. Knowing I can't at the moment. They have charged me 150$ for october.... my gf got a year membership for nearly 150$ at this location. HIGHWAY ROBBERY.

It sucks . Not worth your money . You’ve to wait in line for 30 minutes before you get your turn for hydro massage . What’s worse is . You can not cancel directly . You’ve to call a number , where you’ve to stay in line line for 120 minutes to get your call connected . They will charge once more before they cancel your membership . That too if you go all the way .

I've been using this gym for a couple months now. Pros: fantastic gym for the price, it has all the equipment you'll need for your workout including massage machines. The price is $11.24 a month and it's well worth it. Cons: Gets really busy on peak hours, and if you try to quit before your contract ends it will be a pain

Excellent gym, I'm super impressed by the cleanliness, equipment and majority of the staff. However, the girl with the orange-brown hair that works in the morning is pretty sexist. Will let men walk around with their masks on improperly or not on at all but is always on all the women about having their mask. I understand telling people to wear masks, I fully agree with that, but tell EVERYONE, don't let the big muscular guys get away with it just because they are "big and scary".

I enjoy this place in the mornings on weekends because its not busy unfortunately a few times ive shown up along with alot of other paying members only to be locked out as the employee doesn't show up to open the place. New years day they have posted on their door 8am open and yet with 9 vehicles waiting to get in the gym at 820 and still no employee here to open. This is the third time this location has done this. They offer a service in return for a payment. When we as customers make our payments and they do not provide the service this is called stealing.

Good gym/variety of equipment but it’s always extremely busy no matter what time you go.I find I’m always waiting to use a bench in the free weight area. Also, for some reason the staff loves to blast the music so good luck wearing earphones without making yourself deaf just to hear your own.

They are making charges on a credit card I never authorized them to use after I cancelled. The best part is that I had paid this charge upon cancellation so the fraud charge is also a duplicate charge. I would suggest avoiding this gym at all costs because reading reviews suggests issues like this are common.

Excemptions to the mask rule not accepted here, no mask, no entry. And they told me when I cancelled my membership because of this that 30 days notice is in the contract to cancel. So because it was 15 days until the next payment comes out on September 15, they would be taking that one as well. I explained I could not use the gym though because they changed the rules, response was too bad. I’ve contacted my credit card company to stop payment.

I've beem coming here for the better part of a year and I have yet to be disappointed with the place. Staff is friendly and classes are amazing. They are always trying to add new stuff and changing the look on the interior which gives it a fresh flavour. Equipment always seems to be in great condition and when something is broke their maintenance is pretty quick. Thanks for being an awesome gym guys!!
