I went to Sandbox Fitness to spruce up my fitness routine. What I got was so much more. They have literally turned my eating habits upside down. I look better, but more importantly, I feel better. I never thought it was possible to be any smaller than I was so I convinced myself that I was content at the weight I was. Scott showed me that I didn't have to torture myself to lose weight. I just had to make the right adjustments. Sandbox Fitness for the win!!
I went here after having a back issue and Scott did a great job stretching me out and really showing me how my alignment was off. He gave me great stretching to help my range of motion. Great facility and even better people!
Scott and his team are knowledgeable, personable and just overall fantastic humans. I had a knee issue several years ago and not only was Scott able to properly assess and rehabilitate the issue, he also educated me to the point that I am able to prevent the same issue from reoccurring. Thanks to sandbox Fitness, I am healthier and more educated about the human body and my own health than ever before.

If you need someone to help you with your health and actively work with you towards your fitness goals this is the right place. The owner, Scott, is a wonderful guy, the training and fitness philosophies put into practice at his gym here are the real deal with no bullshit. The trainer I was set up with, Noel, has been above excellent in helping me recover from a back injury and totally changing my approach to both healthy eating and weightlifting. The emphasis on correct technique and addressing acute problems whether that was underutilizing my gluten, or flexibility has helped me immensely in getting into the gym on my own and on track towards my personal goals. Noel is the best personal trainer I have ever had by far, and an excellent reflection of the trainers at work here. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are worried about the cost, Scott is amazing at helping you find a cost schedule that fits your budget where I wouldn't have been able to afford the cost otherwise.
Ok, these guys know their stuff! Their approach to fitness and healthy living is really on the money. Me and my fiancé came here and felt extremely comfortable unpacking our habits and working with Sandbox to find new ways to live better healthy lives. The people here really care about you and have set a new standard for the term personal trainer. Highly recommended!

THE GYM IS OUTSTANDING! Scott himself is a great guy and a great trainer. I'd recommend anybody with any variety of strength and conditioning goals to come in and talk to him. He's got great, up to date, accurate information with regards to the strength and conditioning world.
I was referred by a friend to see Scott at Sandbox Fitness when I had some excruciating heel pain. It was revealed that I had plantar fasciitis, which I am not familiar with, but Scott was able to promise me that the pain would go away by the 4th session on a 6 day treatment. True to his word, the plantar pain went away after the 4th session, and I am relieved cause the pain was very unbearable. After the plantar faciitis, I have still been seeing Scott for weight loss and general body maintenance. Love this place!

Before coming to Sandbox Fitness, I had a couple movement issues from previous sports and a little knowledge regarding weight training. I came to Sandbox looking for help in overall strength development, with a specific request for help in the sports I compete in (soccer and rugby). Scott walked me through specific exercises and stretches that vastly increased my mobility, strength, and overall performance, both in the gym and on the field! Also, Scott's a registered beauty, so an easy 5/5
Scott has a great private studio located in the heart of downtown Oakville. They offer personal training and many other health services and supplements. If you are looking for training downtown Oakville, I would highly recommend
I have trained under many different personal trainers throughout my many years of athletics (rep soccer through high school, university rugby, amateur fighting, etc). Each trainer I've worked with has had their own unique approach, programing and guidelines to follow, but in they end, they all believe they are the "best out there". Now that I no longer train with "designated" team trainers, I have the liberty of choosing who I train under in order to achieve success. As a serious athlete, I look for a personal trainer who can take me to the next level in my chosen spot. I can say, without a doubt, that Scott Emmerson is by far the best I've come across so far. Since each client comes to him as an "individual", he treats them as such. Scott does not prescribe the same plans and programs for each person who walks through the door, like many trainers I've worked with in the past. He takes the time to get to know each client in-depth (goals, body type, hormonal profile, past injuries, reoccurring injuries, muscular imbalances, etc) and creates programs specific to their needs, goals and aspirations. If something doesn't seem to be working for them, he is not afraid to "go back to the drawing board", modify and find something that WILL work. Scott is extremely knowledgeable and educated in his field of work. Not only are his qualifications much higher than your typical trainer, but he is always looking for ways to learn more (reading, courses, research, etc). You can be assured that if Scott doesn't know the answer to a question you may have (which is rare), he will go out of his way to find an answer for you (and it's not just some answer he gets from typing the question into Google...it's a well-thought out and thoroughly researched answer). I could honestly go on an on about how great he is, but I'll let you figure it out for yourself. Thank you Scott Emmerson for making me a better, stronger, more efficient athlete!
I had foot surgery in December and went to see Scott in February to start some physical therapy to bring my strength back. Scott did a full assessment and recommended I have Dante as my trainer. I had just started noticing results when Covid hit. During the downtime I was offered all kinds of options, Dante reached out every few weeks and gave me some exercises to focus on at home. I’m really happy with my progress and Dante, the sessions go by fast and I’m feeling so much better and stronger. The holistic method that Sandbox uses really covers all aspects of care. I can’t recommend them enough.
I’ve had a great experience with Sandbox – I’ve made huge progress on my goals of improved strength and flexibility and the one-on-one approach with Dante makes sure that each session is impactful, safe and even fun. Scott and the Sandbox team are very passionate and extremely attentive. Scott helped me identify a low stomach acid issue and a zinc deficiency that when corrected helped both my digestion and boost my testosterone. I'm pushing 40 but I'm still seeing huge gains in my fitness and muscle volume. As a compliment to my other training, I see Scott as often as I can and recommend him and his team to everyone that will listen!
I found Scott refreshingly different from all of the other trainers I took consultations with because his remarkably comprehensive and detailed approach. The steps in his analysis of my physical condition weren't any I've seen other trainers take, perhaps because they can't. Although, I actually chose Scott because I believe you must have nutritional understanding as well as physical, as they are tied so close to one another that I don't see how you can succeed with only one of the two. At this price point I'm not sure there is a better trainer that exists lol

Best gym I've ever been to! I was lucky enough to have Heather as my personal trainer. She was fantastic, positive, motivated and didn't let me slack. I saw more results with her in one year than ever before. The gym itself is small and very comfortable. You're never judged and always leave in a great mood. Highly highly recommend to anyone even thinking about getting in shape. Scott the owners a gem.

I had back and neck pain and numbness in my arm that I had for over 15 years when I finally moved to Oakville and had the benefit of working with Scott. I had been to chiropractors, doctors and massage therapists with no long term relief. He was able to evaluate why I was experiencing the pain, he developed a program for me to work on and stretch the muscles needed to relieve my pain for good. I know I am not the only one he has helped tremendously. Thank you Scott! Your philosophy for the gym and your knowledge is top drawer.
Great facility and Noel is the best personal trainer I have ever had. Knowledgable, always well prepared, mixes up the training so it's not boring and just the right amount of intensity. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of having a fascial stretch therapy (fst) by Heather Siddall, personal trainer at sand box fitness. I was interested in fst as I heard of the benefits for those suffering with siatica, as I do. Although I am not a client of sandbox fitness, I was still able to have the fst treatment, which has been the best treatment by far for my siatic (I routinely see an RMT). Heather was extremely professional, and explained the process to me as we went along. Right after the stretch my mobilty increased as I no longer felt as though one leg was silghtly longer than the other. Heather was able to get deep stretches that I felt a few days after, but the constant siatic pain I felt on a daily basis was gone and is still gone a few weeks later. I cannot express how greatful I am to have found Heather and cannot wait for my next fst.

He is incredible at conversing with me about what my level of physical and mental strengths are, then teaching me as clearly as possible how to achieve my goals. As well, he tackles the obstacles that come up in the transformation process very well. His knowledge and social awareness is remarkable.

As I entered my 30’s I quickly realized that my body was not moving the same as I was when I was younger. Working in a physically demanding environment often left me with sprains and strains. After receiving my first treatment I left feeling relief from repetitive movements, and my mobility had improved. For homework, Justin provided me with a series of videos and had followed up ensuring that the relief I had felt post-treatment continued to maintain by completing the homework. I was just getting started with personal training classes with Scott before all the shutdowns happened and was disappointed because I felt like we had some real momentum. In what felt like no time at all, Scott reached out and we started our workouts virtually. I had no idea what to expect but have been very impressed with how organized and client centered Scott has been. We do workouts using only what’s available to me at home so I didn’t have to spend extra money, he has short helpful videos of each exercise assigned to me that I can easily and quickly refer to while working out on my own and my work out plans are laid out in an easy to follow shared document that we can both follow to track progress, ask questions and give feedback. I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better arrangement especially during a time where so little is available and its hard to be motivated to be active. Highly recommend Scott and his team at Sandbox Fitness. Support a great local business!

I have been with Sandbox Fitness for 2 years and training with Noel for 1year. Noel is an excellent and conscientious trainer. He tailors the training to ensure your goals are being met. It is truly a 'personalized' training program to suit my needs. He provides knowledge and education on the skills and workouts being completed, the 'whys, hows and whats' including what to expect. Noel continuously asks for feedback to ensure we stay on track meeting my needs. Noel is invested and equally keen to see his clients training outcomes are successful. We share a training plan. Throughout the week Noel will comment on various aspect of the training plan to make certain the training is progressing. Noel is on the fitness journey with his clients. I would recommend Noel as a personal trainer.
