I have been training under Chris Leblanc of Primal Athletics since May 2017 (Current time of this review is Sunday July 9th 2017, so the last few months). Under his guidance I have managed to lose 30 lbs all the while keeping my strength close to all time highs for powerlifting. I currently train 3 times a week for powerlifting at Primal and follow a nutritional protocol designed by Chris himself. I find him to be exceptionally knowledgeable and very honest/genuine (in a very no fluff/nonsense kind of way. He tells you how it is). The facility is always clean (ESPECIALLY THE WASHROOMS!!! not like other places I have trained at), staff very professional, and the attention to form during exercises is second to none. If you're serious about wanting to lose weight, get strong, and take yourself to the next level this is the place. 10/10
Love my workouts at Primal! They are effective and I feel great! The coaches and members are fantastic. The meal plan is the best hands down. I tried many nutritional plans however I was unable to stick to them and saw minimal results but not with Coach Chris's plan. The nutritional plan is easy to follow and stick to! Thanks Chris and the Primal Athletic team for the support and for being such an awesome group!!

It’s not just a gym. It’s a community - a family. Coach Chris LeBlanc, his wife Hollie and his dedicated team of coaches ensure that you will get the most of your membership at Primal Athletics. I have been a member at several gyms (large and small) over the years, but never have I seen such results than what I have accomplished at Primal. i have participated in the Primal Transformational Challenge - a 12-week meal plan - and it works. I have kept off the 14 pounds for more than a year and weigh less now than I did when I got married (more than 26 years ago). Chris always has an opinion. He is loud. He is boisterous. But know that he is well educated and knowledgeable about fitness, lifting technique and nutrition. He won’t let you take shortcuts - there are no shortcuts - only hard work, dedication and consistency. The 45-minute bootcamp classes are hard (yet fun). They are intense, and I still get sore two days after a workout. The members are fantastic - they support you with staying on track with your goals (and who doesn't want to see smiling faces at 6am M-F). There’s no place like home - well, except Primal Athletics. I have been a member at Primal for going on 3 years now. I can't say enough to express how much I love being a member of the Primal family! Everything you need to succeed is here -- bootcamp, personal training, powerlifting, cooking classes and meal plans. Chris, Hollie and the entire Primal team truly care about their client's success and push you to be your best.
Really the best bootcamp out there. Classes will still run even if only one person signs up! Flexible times for early birds and night owls. Chris, Omar and Hollie are beyond friendly and amazing trainers, they make it feel like a family, not just your average bootcamp. They know their stuff, any time they see bad form or anything wrong, they help you correct it immediately. I've been to crossfit gyms and bootcamps and this is by far the best one out there!
Primal Athletics is an extremely welcoming and motivating workout environment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a real workout within a comfortable environment.
I joined Primal Athletics on the advice of a client. For 2 yrs prior to this I had chronic nausea, IBS, constant back/shoulder/neck and joint pain, was chronically fatigued because I got no more than 3hrs sleep a night, barely ate much as EVERYTHING irritated my stomach. I was 58yrs old, tired, overweight and depressed... apparently there was nothing doctors or anyone could do..... "it's just menopause" they said "get used to it". I was told that Chris LeBlanc was a nutritionist and could help for sure, I called him and he saw me the next day. I felt such a sense of relief in everything he said about food, hormones and the body pain. On Chris's advice, I started personal training the next day. I had worked with trainers at other gyms in the past but at my age now I was concerned about my limitations and injury. ALL of the trainers at Primal are highly experienced and bring something important to each of your sessions, I have never sustained injury in any of my sessions and in fact have healed more with the workouts. The staff at Primal great in helping you set and meet goals for your future fitness and health. They will never let you be less than you can be! Once Chris devised a meal plan for me, my life changed after one week of eating. I couldn't believe how much food I was eating as well as how good I felt. The weight started coming off, the IBS calmed down 95%, no more nausea and I finally started sleeping better. Chris Leblanc knows his stuff when it comes to food and nutrition, IT WORKS......period! I am so grateful that I found Primal and am actually looking forward to turning 60 next year as a fitter, stronger and healthier version of myself. I have been training at Primal for 2 years now and have to say it is the ONLY fitness facility that has not only kept me interested and feeling positive, but also the only one that actually cares about me and my personal fitness goals. the environment that Chris and Omar have created is one that is open, welcoming and much like a family. i go to the gym to work hard so that i can achieve functional fitness - Primal Athletics has helped me get there. the level of achievement that i see with everyone that goes to Primal to work hard is absolutely amazing. I have recommended Primal to many friends, all of whom have achieved fantastic results. I'm living Primal and loving it!
I've been a member for 5 years and the workouts are never repetitive and don't get any easier. The instructors are always there to help when help is needed. You always leave class drenched and sore! Great place to workout if you want to see change and challenge yourself!
Primal Athletics has exceptional personal services providing each member at its own level a total workout experience. Because the classes are capped to maximum number of members at the time, coaches are able to make sure each one of us get the attention we need, they are very prompt to correct and find ways to make sure we do it right. I’m a very lazy person when it comes to exercise, I make excuses, never have time, etc not so much since I joined Primal , although everyone around me thought I would quit after a month, I have been going now for a number of months with great results. I’m “hooked” on Primal, I miss going when I travel, members and staff are great and make you feel welcomed. Every week there is something different on each class; coaches are always innovating on the routines. My experience has been excellent since the very beginning. I’m following Chris’s customized meal plan that suits my needs and likes and I’m so very happy with the results. He has made it flexible enough to fit in my busy schedule and even when I travel, I’m able to follow the plan easily. Whether you're an elite athlete or just an amateur, there's something for everyone.
I am a marathoner and triathlete, I'll Bootcamp classes at Primal Athletics for more than two years. I combined my Bootcamp training with my marathon program, and I managed to improve my time in over 40 minutes. Last year I ran NY City Marathon in 3:22 and I qualify to run Boston Marathon. A great place to work out. Omar is an excellent trainer that always pushes athletes to their potential. Chris enjoys to talk about himself excessively and also gives inaccurate info to clients. He is difficult to talk to as he is "always correct." He likes to belittle and put down clients as well. After being a member for 18 months and also referring clients to the gym, Chris wouldn't let me work out for a class because I accidently signed up for 2 classes on the same day. I apologized profusely and recognized my error. I had never done this before and he still denied me my work out for that day. In business that is meant to make clients feel good, I caution anyone considering Primal!
Awesome gym with great coaches! They keep track of your progress very closely and keep updating the work routine for maximum impact; they motivate you to do your best. I have joined Primal almost a year ago now and still am as motivated as on the first day. My husband and I started at Primal in October 2016 and we have had fantastic results! We are currently working with Primal's personal trainers and Coach Chris doing boot camp and taking part in the Transformational Challenge. I am 55 and post menopausal (with all the fun that entails) and have worked out most of my life. At 23 I taught aerobics, I've done Pilates, spinning, step, ballet barr, worked out at various gyms (including the Y) and done the home workouts, all to varying degrees. This is the first and only time I have seen REAL results. I see and feel muscle, I feel great and the weight gain often associated with menopause has gone. Even those baggy arms and the extra weight around the middle have gone and will continue to show the muscle just waiting to appear. It isn't easy work and can be tough but it's all worth it to achieve a healthy body and piece of mind. It's never too late to make a change. Thank you Chris and Hollie and all the trainers for being tough and supportive. Not done yet! Oh, my husband looks fabulous too!

Started at this gym about a year ago. From day 1 I knew i loved this place. Both Chris and Hollie are amazing coaches and push you to do the best of your ability. Before i was never motivated to go to the gym..but now i look forward to these boot camp classes. 45 minutes of the best work out and feeling motivated. Primal is a positive environment whose coaches are there for YOU! Flexible classes and friendly staff have made my membership nothing short of first class. As well, if you're looking for nutritional consultation, Chris (the owner) will provide a tailored approach based on your goals. I personally found the nutrition consultation my dietary epiphany! How so? I was eating a carb-reduced diet and running low on energy after a while. My knowledge was that carbs cause fat, but that's not entirely true. FAT causes fat storage!! Exercise is still a necessity, but I'm enjoying foods I thought I'd have to give up to maintain my goals. You too will learn something new about nutrition, exercise, etc. Check out their trial period - you won't be disappointed!! ????????
I've been coming to Primal for over 5 years now and couldn't possibly imagine life without. Attending a bootcamp class gives you a sense of accomplishment for the day and morning classes set you in a zen state for the rest of the day...stress will roll off your back easier, I swear! Have made many friends inside the gym. It's a very supportive environment...it truly is a family. Class sizes are small enough that the coaches will help you with your form. It's inspirational to see the coaches working hard to attain their own personal goals...the worst is coaches at other gyms who don't appear to practice what they preach. Lots of variety...never had the same workout twice...they’re always thinking up new ways to ‘torture’ us. I’ve seen the challenge ramp up over the years. We thought 100 squats in a row was a lot when we first started but now we’re doing 200 or 300. Lots of convenient classes all day makes sure there aren't any excuses to skip! Optional meal plans truly work! Whether your goal is to run a marathon, bulk up, lose weight, or just fit into your clothes better, Primal WORKS!

I have been a member since July 2015. Prior to this I had never done any weight training at all. The bootcamp classes are great as well as the powerlifting classes and the personal training. They even offer yoga and pilates as well as nutritional plans. I participated in a transformation challenge that included a meal plan and had success, losing inches body fat and weight! . The macronutrient seminar was fantastic and has helped with maintenance as well as my husband shedding 20 pounds! You need to be consistent in working out and eat properly to have the best success. Chris and Hollie know what they are doing and the staff is great. Its not always easy and it shouldn't be or you won't see change. They want you to be successful so listen to their advice. It is also the cleanest gym I have ever seen! Trust the process give them a try!
For years, I was struggling with weight loss and trying to develop the dream body I’ve always wanted. My brother started coming to primal which then in turn brought myself and my mom to start coming together as a family to workout. As a family we have lost a total of around 90 pounds coming to primal athletics. Now I am currently training for a body building show next year with Chris reaching even further goals then ever before. As Chris says all the time, “stay motivated.” And myself and my entire family do training with them. I have trained with everyone, chris, Chris M, Phil and Hollie and they are all great trainers. Primal Athletics is a great place. The owners and staff work VERY hard at motivating everyone who attends their classes. They are all passionate about what they do and above all, there is a sincerity in their approach. I have been members at a lot of places over the years but coming back to Primal was a great decision. The "Transformation Plan" is very doable if you are willing work hard and the support is hard to beat. Congrats to all of you at Primal Athletics on building a great business!
Chris and his staff are very well informed and care about each client achieving their goals. The workouts are only 45 minutes, offer a lot of variety (never boring) and the schedule offers many options both morning and afternoon/evening. This is a very friendly and welcoming gym. Chris will give you any information you need about the impact of diet on goals and you can also get a meal plan if you wish, which is personally tailored. I love this gym!

A really awesome place to work out. The team there are really friendly and there is a real family-vibe to the whole place. Don't let that fool you though, the workout routines are punishing (only experienced the classes thus far!) but feels like a different level of fitness training. I'm really enjoying my morning sessions and, although tough, they have given me great energy and well-being for the rest of the day.
Signing up with Primal Athletics was one of the BEST Thing I have ever done . My trainers : Chris Messenger and Phil Bougram help me achieve my goals so far and I love my Personal Training sessions. The trainers at Primal Athletics changed my life. I started out doing their bootcamp classes after not working out for years and continued my way to the powerlifting classes. I completed Chris's 12 week challenge and lost 30 lbs and 30 inches. The motivation and guidance they provided helped me achieve/succeed my goals 100%. I was able to successfully complete Paramedic college lift tests and volunteer fire fitness tests because of Primal Athletics. I have moved and am unable to go the the gym now but what I learned from the trainers stuck with me and helped me meet my goals. If you want real results and change, this is the gym for you. If it wasn’t good, I wouldn’t get up at 5:20 each morning. After a running injury side-lined me in the fall, I joined Primal and have been attending its 6 am bootcamp classes for the past few months. I have been amazed by the challenge of the workouts and the supportive atmosphere among the Primal staff and gym members. At 45 minutes, the bootcamp is the right amount of time to push you hard and leave you with a sense of accomplishment for the rest of the day.
Love the Primal Family! The coaches practice what they preach, they genuinely care about each client and want to see everyone succeed. No gimmicks, no magic potions, no magic exercises pushed at this gym. I am so happy with the results that I have seen in only 3 months of being at Primal Athletics. I joined bootcamp seeking a challenging and fun way to work out and that's exactly what I got. I have lost 10lbs and in the years I have spent working out on my own, this is the most toned my body has ever been. I absolutely love going to Primal Athletics. I've been going for 2 months and have noticed a substantial improvement in my workouts. The classes are run to be exactly 45 minutes, they are always different and challenging, even if you're fit. That's exactly what I've been needing from a boot camp. The trainers are very knowledgeable and watch form and correct as you exercise. I highly recommend to anyone who's looking to change things up and be challenged.

Excellent ! First place where I have been able to go consistently for last 3-4 months and hoping to continue for years to come. I take the boot camp classes and had a recent experience of taking a personal trainer session, which was also great. Here is why I highly recommend this place: 1. Highly professional & learned Coaches 2. Six classes per week (value for money), plus each day focuses on different body parts. 3. Proper warmup & stretches before getting into the intense workout session. Variety of exercises are amazing. 4. Coach demonstrates the exercises every single session to make sure it's done in the right way. 5. Balance btw Intensity of workout and proper form to do it right, without getting Injuries 6. Very welcoming environment and no-one feels left out. 7. Multiple offering beyond boot-camp classes, to cater to different audience & requirements Listen, if this place has motivated a lazy person like me to wake up at 5am everyday and attend 6-645am class, you can imagine ????. There are different timings available if you are not a morning person. "Strongly recommend" to try it out folks. They have some free trial sessions these days so come & try it out ! you will love it...
Great nutrition plan provides Primal sleep! Primal is an excellent place to workout but in order to lose weight, following a nutrition plan is a must. The nutrition plan not only helped me with losing weight, but because it regulated my hormones it also helped with my insomnia which has now disappeared! Approximately 2 months after following on the nutrition plan 100 percent, my sleep troubles completely disappeared! I sleep longer and deeper - which have had a huge impact in my overall productivity in the gym and my professional career! Thanks Chris for making such a profound impact in my life!

Very supportive and welcoming with a great feeling of community. Love the challenge of the boot camp and the variety. Most important are the results! I've worked out most of my adult life, and since joining Primal have lost those last stubborn pounds and am back to the same weight I was 30 years ago in university! Feeling great.
3 years ago I posted a great review for Primal Athletics. I didn't think at that time it could get even better, but it has! I have been lucky enough to work with Chris and Hollie and all of their Primal staff. Boot Camp, Personal Training, Power Lifting, Nutritional Counselling and Healthy Eating Cooking Classes are all the services I have benefited from. It is a no nonsense approach to making change that I truly appreciate. The supportive staff and clients make it easy for me to go to my workouts and be the best that I can be.
