Gavin is hands down the best trainer I've ever worked with. I've always had terrible experience at gyms until now! I felt comfortable from day one doing personal boxing sessions with him. Gavin is very knowledgeable and creates great workouts that keep you motivated! I am very happy with the progress I've made!

Starting bringing my elementary aged boys here on the recommendation of one of my mom friends last winter Their daily schedule of youth boxing and kickboxing saved my sanity during the long winter when the kids were coming home daily irritable and fighty. I appreciated the reasonable rates for families and the ability to have two different aged kids train at the same time. Highly recommended.

Great work out! I've been going to the boxing and fitranx classes at the Lakeshore location for a few months now and the results have been much better than what I was getting doing weights on my own. The atmosphere is welcoming and the workouts are challenging. Would recommend it to anyone.

I love to work out with all trainers, they are nice and respectful, OBFT is very nice place to learn boxing and kickboxing for beginner. Enough room to work out, tight programs. Good for cardio. I've been lots of other gyms, but here is the one of my best.

Scott and Jesus are awsome trainers. Have been going for almost a month now and the difference in my endurance and overall health is insane. If you are looking for a place that's welcoming and friendly to beginners I would deffinatly recommend these guys.

OBFT's new location has a great layout. There's a variety of classes to choose from throughout the week. This gym i find is appropriate for all levels of fitness, you challenge yourself. You can tell the trainers know what they are doing. Been going to this gym for around 2 months now, there's a friendly core of regulars in the morning.

Very fun, clean and safe gym. The OBFT community is filled with caring and supportive professionals teaching you new ways to push your limits. I highly recommend OBFT if you are looking to learn the technique of Boxing and more. This gym has great variety and the scheduling is convenient. Exercising is always difficult when you are a couch potato like me, but when you do it while learning something new like kickboxing it becomes fun and challenging. The facilities are great and the instructors here are always very nice, helpful and will help you stay motivated. ????????????????

I have tried so many sports and boxing is my favorite one. coach Rodgers hypes everyone up for the tournament in a couple months and that's what keeps me motivated. 10/10. 100% go here.

Rafael Delgado is one of the most recognized coaches in the province. He has constantly produced high level amateur boxers at the provincial and national levels including several champions. On top of that he is warm, approachable, kind and extremely technical. I would highly reccomend learning boxing from Mr.Delgado.

I’ve been training with Scott and Reshad at OBFT since March 2018, along with my family. OBFT is amazing because it has two great locations, awesome gym equipment, and incredible people. Starting with Scott, let me say that I only have warm feelings inside because this person gives off the most inviting and friendly vibes. He’s genuinely a nice person and you can feel it whether you’re just talking to him or training with him. He knows how to treat clients well and create an inviting/accepting atmosphere for people of all levels to train. Here’s an example: my brother. Hasn’t worked out in years and refuses to...until we made him try a session with Scott. Now my brother’s actually working out frequently and makes his own appointments with Scott without complaining. My brother is super shy and doesn’t interact with people a lot, yet he absolutely respects Scott and enjoys the workouts. Scott simply has that effect on people and is easy to coordinate and work with. He is super competent as a trainer too and helped me improve my boxing skills (he puts a lot of variety in his workouts. I’ve done boxing lessons before and I can say Scott’s teaching is the best one for me!). Reshad is driven, has impeccable attention to detail and form, creative, and a master of technique. He is chill to talk to but challenging to train with (in a good way)! He is also very friendly and considerate; he doesn’t pester or bug you and even accommodates your schedule. He works incredibly hard and has a clear-cut vision for his clients. His work ethic really shows in the way he notices things. Little anomalies in your form, in poses I thought I was okay at (I’ve been doing certain poses for years. Squats, deadlifts, etc). He would spot the erroneous angle of my knees, the lack of a little curve my back is supposed to have, the integration of my body that failed to manifest in previous attempts of poses I thought I’ve been doing correctly. He detects little things that make up a whole system and fixes that so the system can kick ass (and have a better one). His chill demeanour and expert attention to detail give him the unique ability to be your trainer and friend. I can do little everyday things better, like carry grocery bags from the car and up the stairs, to picking up my overweight dog and my overweight bags I have to carry for commuting. Thank you OBFT for your help! My highest recommendation.

I have been working out with Scott for the past year and have been loving it! I can’t say I was one that stuck to any particular workout routine for very long but have found that I am able to at OBFT. I have really enjoyed the combination of strength training and boxing within one session – keeping it fun while also being a great workout. Scott is great at motivating you to push harder without being too intimidating! I have noticed great improvements in my strength and endurance. Scott pays particular attention to form during the workout which I appreciate as I know so many that have injured themselves through inappropriate training. I can’t speak highly enough of Scott and OBFT and would highly recommend them!

I signed up for a $20 week package to try out this gym back in July of 2018 and I was very happy with the private lesson I had with Scott and the group lessons offered. I began to go regularly in September of 2018 and have been attending since. The gym offers monthly memberships with unlimited access to group classes but it also offers class packages for those who are not going to the gym all the time. I love the community at this gym and I love the workouts. The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable and so are the gym goers! Boxing and Kickboxing classes focus on technique as well as conditioning. The gym also offers a program called FitRanX which focuses on strength and conditioning. I would recommend this gym to people of all ages as there is something for everyone and you are able to meet your goals in a friendly and positive space.

I have always wanted to try boxing as a way to change up my fitness routine. Finally doing so I chose to take classes at OBFT with my family and we are HOOKED. The instructors are inviting, friendly and very helpful towards new and experienced boxers. They always encourage you to do your best. OBFT always leaves us feeling energized and relieved from stress through the release of endorphins, yet tired because the workouts are SO amazing. If group classes aren't your thing, DON'T WORRY, they got you covered with one-on-one training options too. Highly recommend OBFT for beginners and the experienced.

If anyone experiences stress at work I can recommend no better way to deal with it and get fit and have fun then OBFT. Never even thought about boxing but my wife's physio mentioned it, I tried it and loved it. Now I have my adult children going as well. Great staff, great environment.

Obft is a hidden gem. It's located inside national fitness and also have a new location at lakeshore. The classes are great and so are the trainers. I recently tried their 30mins class and I found it great especially after getting back into working out. Would definitely recommend for people to try it out.

If you're a woman, do NOT go to this gym. I did a trial and the coach was extremely inappropriate, showing me technique by coming up behind me and shifting my hips and shoulders. He kept pushing me to go out dancing (even after I said no multiple times), kept calling me mami, and I felt super unsafe. When I noticed he had a mutual friend of mine on social media, I asked if she had a similar experience with him. She said she QUIT boxing because of how inappropriate he was. This is NOT okay. You do NOT need to touch someone to show technique and my boundaries should NOT be overstepped. If you're not a woman, you should also not go here because supporting a business and coach who harrass and do not treat women equally is NOT okay. I'm writing this because, in light of the #MeToo movement, I'm not staying silent in situations like this anymore. I'm here to protect other women.

OBFT is a phenomenal gym with a great staff who truly cares about their clients overall well-being. It is a great workout for anybody who is highly skilled or looking to try boxing for the first time! I definitely would suggest anyone who is slightly interested to give it a try! Great place for youth. My 13 year old daughter love practicing there. It is her second year. Nice energetic and clean gym. The coaches push the kids to discover their limits.

I love this gym! I have been coming here for 2 weeks now and I feel that I have learned a lot already, this is a great workout! I decided to try something different instead of boring weights which I was doing for 6 years. I love that they have a lot of classes every day and it works perfect for my crazy schedule. Came to this gym with shoulder pain and in need of some ankle rehab. Although OBFT is not a rehab facility, Scott and Soni both tailored my workouts to help build muscle, strengthen weak areas and reduce the pain I was experiencing. 1.5 years later and my shoulder is as good as new! This place is amazing.

Dear Scott. Let me start by saying I am the last person to be motivate to “go to the gym” or “go workout”. I live a very active lifestyle outside of the gym but I’m never willing to go lift weights or run on a treadmill. I’ve been wanting to try boxing or kick boxing for quite some time, but I wasn’t eager to join a full class, plus it’s not a typical class that is offered. Each class, Scott pushes me harder and challenges me to improve each week. He makes each class fun and inspires me to reach my goals. I am most impressed by his patience, especially with my knee up skipping. His passion and determination for me to hit harder. And his knowledge on proper technique, and alignment throughout each workout. I don’t have weight loss goals I am trying to reach, simply a feeling I am chasing. It’s only been a few weeks, but I’m now addicted and excited to going to OBFT. Thank you Scott for letting me leave each class feeling empowered.
