I love this little public rec centre. The nine hole pitch-and-putt golf course is a blast, and really cheap entertainment, especially if you have your own clubs. There are multiple tennis courts too, if that's your thing. There is a popular chip trail around the gold course with outdoor exercise circuit which seems very popular when the weather is nice.

Golf, outdoor tennis, Gym, friendly for kids, senior and all ages! No swimming pool. You can pay for a night tennis play. You can hold a kid's birthday party in Gym; it will be lots of fun: ) There also a lot of course and summer camp for kids.

Something for everybody from golf to baseball, a big gym for the kids, tennis and a fitness room. The kindergym is a favorite for kids and includes a bouncy castle, slides, a tunnel and a number of cars to ride around in. Kids birthday parties can be hosted here. Yoga and other fitness classes provide something for parents. There is also an outdoor playground.

Few years ago, we had there the birthday party for our kid and some people still talk about it. The arrangement had a nice balance of play time and down time. Plus, in both parts I had staff members who helped me with serving and looking after kids safety... I love coming back and sharing similar memories with other families and friends.

One of the best Kindergyms around!! So big, so well stocked, limit of 40 means it's not too crazy! A little tricky to access by bus, there's a 10 minute walk from the nearest bus stop and there's no food or coffee around which makes it a destination stop for us, not a general hang kind of area, hence the 4 star rating.

A well organized and equipped recreation centre with a small, family oriented golf course. Many trails across the street through the University of Victoria grounds. Tennis courts and a baseball field offer a diversity of opportunities for recreation.

you have a bit of everything at this facility. Gym for exercising which is decently set up. Auditorium for different events that happen here. You can have a kids party here but they never seem to go as well parents want them too(that is the same at all rec centers. Small golf course as well as soccer fields and baseball diamond

this is a beautiful place for a walk or run in nature any time of year. Chip trail is well drained and easy on knees. Easy to connect with the 4 km UVic chip trail across the street.

Nice place for badminton. Clean bathrooms. Golf is good for beginners or older / younger folk or for families. Only vending machine. If you're taking bus or walking make sure to plan ahead!! It's a little far from any places for food. If you're driving you will be fine. During baseball season there is an outdoor concession stand which has lots of variety.

A nice, but small community centre. They have a small golf course, a chip trail, gym, large field for baseball/soccer, and fitness studio. The fitness studio has some odd hours, as it is occasionally closed for an hour or too during the day, but it is very well run. The equipment here is also fairly well maintained too.

Nice tennis courts. Irrigation not very well designed; we find that almost every court seems to have a big puddle even a few days after it rains. Should invest in water pushers to clean off the courts. Courts are generally in good condition when it's sunny out, enjoyable and easy access.

Nice par 3 course that's challenging but not too difficult. Great prices and usually there's not much of a wait. The greens can be tricky and you might lose a couple of balls in the woods, but it's a fun course to play with friends or family.

Absolutely love the Henderson golf course, well maintained, short 9 holes. The rec center is good for the size and the tennis courts are in decent shape too. The trail around the golf course combined with the uvic chip trail is a good run.

Friendly staff - Gym is very clean & users are expected to wipe down the equipment after each use. Lovely bright environment - Equipment is well maintained. If I must do a workout, this is the Best Place to do it! Thank You!

Henderson is a great course for beginners, seniors, kids, and anyone just looking to improve their approach shots and putting, or just a little fun on a very attractive, tree lined, well maintained recreational course. It's a "pitch and putt" styled par three that can be played by most golfers with a putter and one or two short irons. All holes are under 100 yards, but the greens are crowned or sloped enough to make par a challenge. Try it. You'll see.

I have not spent a lot of time inside the Recreation Center butenjoy walking the grounds watching the wild deer trollop through the small 9 hole par 3 golf course. It is located beside the Uplands Golf Course. When someone feels they are good enough at the smaall one they can graduate themselves to the big course beside it. There is also many small workput stations surrounding the small golf course.

It's a small rec centre with a nice and clean training area, indoor gymnasium and all the facilities. / Now, my fun is outside. They have about 6 (or 8?) tennis courts, a small golf course and a lovely walking trail with exercising machines all along. When you walk on this trail, you'll probably make some very nice encounters (rabbits, birds, deer, squirrels) and see some beautiful trees and plants.

Staff can be a hit or miss. We showed up late to our Covid tee time. There were empty slots before us and after us. The manager was quite adamant to come out and tell us that we were late and unfortunately she would not be allowing us to tee time. She gave us no options other then, “ you aren’t playing, please leave”. FORTUNATELY the front counter staff overheard our conversation and provided a solution! Go figure, a Clerk provided better costumer service and professionalism then her manager by identifying the problem and providing solutions. When i asked to speak to a manager to give the positive feedback for for moving our tee time by 45 mins! That was so simple. It solved the whole issue and left all party’s satisfied. Its quite shocking that the manager did not communicate and provide alternative options like the front counter staff. Great course, played it for over 20 years. Just wish management was a little more professional and considerate like the front desk staff.

Weight room is Small but a good assortment of equipment. If this place was busy it would not be very fun. Free weights warm up area and squat rack are here along with some machines. Only 1 of each the equipment stations here escort a couple of treadmills and ellipticals. An older population of seniors work out here and some younger adults as well. Staff are friendly. Probably can’t lift very heavy so if you truly are a beast you may need to lift elsewhere. For the average person it works just fine.
