The food is great and so are the rooms.

Very pleasant experience. Very friendly and helpful waitress. Several tasty vegetarian choices. Very fresh fish from nearby Great Slave Lake.

Hallway carpet was extremely dirty,phone in the room never worked,alerted the front desk several times and nothing got done about it. Not enough toiletries in the bathroom. The wifi!!..the wifi never worked at all!9 days straight! had to load extra data on the cellphone,breakfast room was supposed to be open by 0730hrs but many times it wasn't,pretty noisy staff at the front desk.

Beautiful place to eat and stay at. Service at the restaurant can take more time then usually when it is busy.

I go there to use the gym facilities and have not been to the restaurant, hotel, or pub. The gym, while adequate, needs to be renovated and to get some new equipment. They also need to get more fans in there. I know in Hay River there isn't much of a choice, but the condition of some of the equipment is pretty sad. Everything else about the Ptarmigan looks nice and redone though, so I am quite anxious to see how it is.
