Very disappointed after few years of membership. I noticed the place is getting dirtier with less maintenance and upkeep few months back. I notified the front desk but did not see any improvement. The hallways and stairs were dirty and dust was everywhere. Then I cancelled my membership. They told me it will take 30 days and I still had to pay membership fees during that month. Then they charged me with the full annual maintenance fee and told me it is the policy to charge for the full year although I just used the facility for four months. During the past year not only the membership fee was increase but also the annual fee.

Horrible experience with manager Katherine she is very rude and doesn’t care about the clients. After finding about all these charges on my account and extra fees I didn’t authorize I asked her to remove the fees. She laughed and then I got a call later that day saying my membership has been revoked. I called head office and they said it’s up to the general manager. Please beware of the hidden fees I had to pay an extra $180!!!

CROOKS!! Do not be fooled by the cheap membership!! They will always find a way to charge extra and when you want to cancel they continue charging for months even when the contract is over. *They have to do this it is where they make their money. The gym is nice clean and great equipment. But it's not worth having to deal with the horrible staff they don't know the first thing about good customer service. You walk in all happy and energized for your work out and your confronted with disrespectful staff. Example: you have an issue with payment on your account and instead of talking to you kindly and deal with the issue professionaly with a smile she.shakes.her head gives you dirty look and tell you you cant go in. There is only two nice girls one of them is blond and one of them has dark hair and facial percings, I always hoped it would be them at the desk. It's just a horrible experience. This is my fist time leaving bad review, I don't believe in indulging in negativety but this is how badly I've been pushed. I seriously want to warn you guys. If you don't like being charged extra and dealing with horror staff, Do not join. A gym should be a place full of positivity...

Despite a number of issues I have with this gym, I do love attending and I do so 5-6 days per week usually at the crack of dawn because attendance is super low - lots of space and no wait for any machines or equipment. The members are also super friendly so makes for pleasant waves and smiles even in the early morning. The only reason why I cannot give this gym a 5-star review is because it seriously lacks in cleanliness and equipment maintenance. I can’t even guess at how often the floors are swept let alone washed thoroughly (yes the stairwells, change rooms and main gym floors on all three levels) - machines are supposed to be wiped down by the users but most are caked in salty dried sweat and piles of dust. It’s just dirty and disgusting. They should also supply floor mops for those guests who sweat profusely all over the floor as it not only poses a slipping hazard but dries in a sloppy salty mess. As for the equipment, while I have reported numerous issues (cracked/ripped bench covers) some get repaired (others outstanding since the spring) and some machines have been out of service for months. The front staff are lovely and I appreciate them every day. They’ve had to withstand a lot during Covid19 and I applaud them. They are friendly, kind and welcoming. However, there is zero leadership presence and there’s no way to directly email the manager (you have to email the main email address and the staff have to print it for the manager for when she comes in - so dumb). I have been a member now for 1 year and do plan to stay but there needs to be improvement before I could whole-heartedly recommend this to others. I am holding faith and I hope Management take this review seriously. In comparison - Club16 North Shore (3-Stars) to Brentwood and Langley (5-Stars).

In the beginning I was quite pleased with this facility and it’s staff, of course I was in the process of spending a good chunk of change and on personal training. I had to terminate my membership due to a change of work due to Covid and being unable to transfer to another location and I also asked for a refund on the training package I had purchased. They had no issue ending my membership but sadly, they have been absolutely terrible refunding me the money that I am entitled to. I have emailed numerous occasions with numerous employees of the North Vancouver location and this began months ago. It began by not receiving reply’s regarding my training then once I finally got through, I was lead to think something was being done, only to once again not have emails replied to and not to my surprise, no refund. So I caution you, if you are not 100% certain you will have no reason to stop personal training, do not purchase it, I highly doubt you will receive a refund. It states that $75 is non-refundable and also what’s been used which is fair, however after submitting multiple documents proving my change of address and that I am no longer close to a facility, I have had no luck and have been left frustrated and unwilling to spend money at another fitness facility since I’ve spent enough money already at Club16. Update: After months of waiting and after leaving my review, I did receive a small reimbursement. It is quite minimal and substantially less than half of what I had paid (I only used half of my sessions, possible 1 more than half) so I was expecting a bit more, but regardless, I have at least received something. I still stand by my previous statement, be weary about spending that much money unless you are so certain you can commit, as I still don’t feel I can justify all that I’ve lost.

I have been attending this gym for 5 years. It has basic equipment, easy parking for the most part, and friendly staff. A few things to consider when joining. I workout a minimum three days a week, on the co-ed floor, because of the natural light, and the spacious workout areas. The basement is allocated for She's Fit, two floors down, and too dark for my liking. This is also where the ONLY women's change room is...there is only ONE bathroom stall available for women and non-gender to share, on the co-ed floor. Also there are only a handful of lighter weights. I have managed fine around these issues, but the last few months, I have also noticed that when equipment needs repair, it takes several weeks to be available for use again. In addition, recently the equipment including workout benches are not returned to their rightful place. While there are lockers for use on this floor, people throw their coats in there, often leaving no lockers available for locking up valuables. While I have managed to work around these issues, the number of problems seem to be increasing, inspiring me to look elsewhere for something a little more.

Jonathan was my personal trainer at Club16 Waterfront, I can't thank him enough for my progress so far through out the year. He made the workouts & nutrition so easy for me, he helped me drop 60 lbs over the course of 9 months & reduced the body fat by 12% and also gain muscle mass at the same time. His techniques is very friendly, he worked mainly on calisthenics in the beginning to make sure I develop good muscle memory then he helped me move to strength training. Regardless of where you are in your fitness journey, I am sure Jonathan will be a great coach for you.

UPDATE: March 23, 2017 - I have cancelled my membership this morning. The manager, Shaun, called me after this initial review here (see below) and was very nice, very professional, and I was given to believe that there would be some measure of change in the coffee-house atmosphere at Club 16 (staff would circulate more and ask people having loud phone conversations to take them somewhere more private). This has not happened, and this morning when I asked a staff member to talk the gentleman next to me who was on his cell phone talking away, I was told that Club 16 wants regular members to feel "empowered" to deal with these things themselves. And Shaun told me, "We can't control what people do on their cell phones." I agree (to a point). I bring my phone too so I can listen to music, but the ringer is off, and I do not take calls at the gym, nor do I make them. It's inconsiderate to the other people trying to focus on their workouts. And I still think it's pretty reasonable to ask people to take phone calls/loud social conversations somewhere else so they aren't disturbing other people. However, Club 16 does not feel the same way, and after this morning, I can see that the so-called "empowerment" policy really means, "not my problem - go away". Message received, Club 16. ***ORIGINAL REVIEW*** I like the staff and facilities at Club 16. Staff are always friendly, and the facilities are generally pretty clean, and there's loads of equipment so I've rarely had to wait for a machine. However, the lack of policies around gym etiquette have me seriously rethinking keeping my membership here. I know that it's called "Club 16", but there are too many member who seem to take the "club" part too seriously. For instance, this morning, I was treated to a very loud phone conversation on the merits of Brad Pitt's well-muscled arms. Last time, it was a young lady using the treadmill as a coat rack and a place to drink coffee while she flirted with a guy, and giggled loudly and shrilly at everything he said. I expect some chatting, particularly when it comes to the trainers there working with clients, but I really resent being forced to listen to loud conversations between members and/or their phone calls. Club 16 has no policy for this - and I was told that they will not ever ask someone to take their loud conversations elsewhere. So, if you like being forced to eavesdrop because of other people's loud conversations, this is an excellent place to work out. Feel free to bring headphones, you'll still be able to hear everything anyway. I also learned today that if you sign on for personal training sessions with a trainer, but wish to cancel your membership before you use them up, Club 16 keeps the money - and it doesn't go to paying out the personal trainer, they just keep it as pure and easy profit. Kind of a scummy thing to do, but that's large businesses for you: their bottom line is more important to them than the people helping them meet it. I'll have to finish all the sessions with the trainer so they don't get screwed out of that money, then I will be cancelling my membership. I've heard good things about the Harry Jerome though, and that they do have policies in place to stop people treating the place like a coffee house or club, so I intend to take my money there instead.

D G

Unprofessional staff.they did not let me to workout when I showed up at the gym cause I did not book a session. Was not notified via email or phone that the policy has changed & members required to book. I cancelled my membership

I worked for this company for 2.5 years and was a member for 2 years before that. I recently exited to pursue a new job opportunity and so from an unbiased perspective I can say I’ve seen it all here. This club is a multi-million dollar facility and people in the community are able to join for only $16 a month. Fitness is affordable and fun at this location. The personal training is affordable too and from my own perspective with a trainer I lost 70lbs in 7 months working out here as a member. My mom with a trainer lost 50lbs and my dad who has a hole in his heart due to a medical condition has improved his stress and blood pressure so much with his trainer, that he has set a North American record for most time between open heart surgeries. Every gym has their flaws, but to me a gym is a gym is a gym. What makes a difference is the people that work in and run the gyms. The people that do so here are second to none. If you get started here and make a commitment with the assistance we offer you will see results. If you’re looking for a job if you work hard there is constant room for advancement.

The gym is nice and clean. Not too noisy and not too overcrowded. However staff members needs to learn how to smile and how to greet the customers. I walked in and there was no "hi" or whatsoever... nor when I left. Basically what I get is a short, "what do you want"?????? (I was a guest from other Club16 location) Very disappointing service.

James Basnett

I joined because Hailey is a star of an employee and was very helpful. In no way did it feel like every other gym membership pitch. The facility is clean and has everything you need on the same floor. The members are down to earth and there is little noise and ego. Just people getting fit in a really well equipped room with great window coverage.

Olga E

Club 16 and She's fit, combined, are amazing! On days where me and my girls want to hit the gym and catch up, She's fit is an awesome pick. It lets us workout, stretch and hangout while doing it all in the comfortable presence of other ladies. On the other hand, Club 16 upstairs offers great workout space filled with lights from the windows and my sister and I have a trainer there which helps us even more! Overall, my experience has been amazing with both gyms!

I had to spend 2 months in Vancouver for work and needed to find a good fitness in order to work-out everyday and stay fit. Club 16 Trevor has been a very suitble place for me, plenty of machines for work-out, never too crowdy, very good opening time and all this for an affordable price. Staff is nice -especially Laura, always helpful and smiling- and lockers room is good enough. No luxury, nice people, good work-out !

Kiana

ever since she's fit at cap mall amalgamated w the club 16 on Lonsdale, the quality has been going down. there is close to no parking space, the equipment at the women's section and overall vibe feels like an apartment gym. way too much competition for them to be charging this much for this little.

Malcolm Celmainis

Overall, a good gym for the price. They will charge you for a 'no show' even if you are just 15 mins late. But.. if you call them before the cut off, they will check you in. Staff is friendly Equipment is good

Mark Turnbull

Can’t recommend this gym. Even before covid it was always too busy, often having to wait while someone looks at their phone or talked to a friend “on a rest”. With covid the app and booking processes are much harder and only allow for 1 hour sessions at a time. Not feeling safe, I tried to cancel my membership and it definitely took a lot of effort and extra charges. Emailing, calling and even going in person didn’t seem to work. They said only 1 person handles all of the admin work and they only have limited hours. The landscape might have changed for gyms with covid but customer service hasn’t . TLDR good equipment and space but bad company to deal with

Sara Mohajeri

It is about 2 months I've joined "Club 16", and really enjoy there ,I have a perfect and experienced trainer that her name is "Zara" .The club staffs are so friendly, the floor and equipment are clean, beside it, there are two issues that I am not satisfied with them : 1. there is only one washroom upstairs for women which men use is too and is is really disgusted and I personally prefer do not use is , 2 . the other thing is Music that playing there, some tracks are really annoying and prevent to focus and concentrate on the exercise and physical practice . Totally I really like there and happy to join "Club 16 "

Ali Nematollahi

Overcrowded. Very good equipment variety but for a commercial gym that size they don't have a lot of benches... They have a handful of benches and that's it... Need more benches FOR SURE

Alick Lee (Alpha)

love it! price is pretty awesome and staff is very friendly . not over crowded like a lot of your run of the mill gyms from what I've seen so far. they have classes as well for all members if thatch your thing or you can just go and lift on your own program! I would give them 5 stars but they need more squat racks 2 isn't enough for even early morning as there's almost always a wait for them. Get rid of some of those treadmills and get more racks please . will up my rating then

Aryan Sotoodeh

Decent cheap gym with a good atmosphere (usually)! I signed up because I was excite about the bumper plates and finally training close to my 1 rep max. First day deadlifting I was told to stop. Disappointing. UPDATE: The problem was only with a particular gym member's reaction. I have had no problems since. I would give 4.5 stars if I could.

Brenda Shaw

Good gym equipment - but I can almost never find a parking space close to the gym. The other annoying thing is there are not enough lockers on the 3rd floor. Most of the time I have to carry around my coat as I have no where to put it. I have asked the staff at least 10 times to install some hooks or more lockers but no one ever does anything. I now go to the Steve Nash gym because of this.

parmisazm

I will make sure I will never walk back to this Gym. I just needed to cancel my membership due to COVID in Oct 2020 and was planning to go back after pandemic. It takes them forever to confirm my cancelation and they still just keep charging me after 2 months. They don't get back to any of your follow ups, emails and phone calls. They just need to come up with a better plan to continue operating their business rather than profiting from members during 2020 Pandemic. Just go to another fitness club if you need to. Absolutely terrible..

After a wonderful meeting with CS rep Hailey Moon, I signed on today for a membership and training sessions. Hailey was courteous and patient throughout the process, answering all of my questions in detail. As far as the gym goes, it's clean, spacious, well-lit and includes up-to-date equipment. Looking forward to being a part of the Club16 community. :)

Vonna Nedriss

This location is kept clean, there is plenty of equipment, and it only gets really busy at the usual peak hours. I have been a member for over three years, so I pay with their original plan [one payment of 15.75 per month] which I much prefer to the biweekly payment plans new members have to pay. The staff are not very friendly. They often talk amongst themselves kind of like a clique. It's not very often that I'm greeted upon entering, and they almost never say goodbye when I leave. The other members keep to themselves, as well. They close pretty early considering what times other gyms in the area close at. With all that said, I still really like this gym. It's upper floor is spacious, and have lots of windows/brightness. Would recommend.

Anne-Marie L

I went to sign up today...then there so many hidden costs that I got all confused......The main reason I did not sign up is they charge $20 for little plastic car to sign in. Charge higher monthly and forget about all the secret hidden cost. Such an insult!!!! Registration fee still not clear what price they mean $29 or $99 then $20 for plastic card, then maintenance fee...God just charge $25 a month and forget about all those cheap extra fees hidden everywhere. Conclusion I am not signing up. I could care less about tanning beds. Plus there is only 1 washroom for clients upstairs and alway a big line up.

Alex Rampage

I stopped by as I just moved to that neighborhood and unfortunately can't say much about the gym. I was wondering how was the structure and how much it would be to join. The receptionist send me into a small office to talk to someone who appeared to be a personal trainer. He never introduced himself a such or offered me the service, but asked me a bunch of questions. In the end I had to ask for the cost and never had a chance to check inside. I asked to go in but the guy just said that was the female area and I wasn't allowed. In the end I got really disappointed with the experience and don't plan to become a member.

Hila Yekta

I have paid in advance for my training with my personal trainer Lukas, 12 sessions March 2020, then Covet happened, we stopped going to the Gym, I asked for a refund because the gym fired my trainer and I also have doctors note stating I can’t work out, they still reject to refund my payment and asking me to go to gym and just train with someone else. I am extremely upset and disappointed with their service.

Trace

The facility looks alright - but I wouldn’t recommend them. I went there to sign up - and then we waited (20 minutes after being told two seconds) to find out the person who was supposed to assist went home. Admin at the front desk are not cross trained in tours or sales either which is quite weird. Waste of my time.

I’ve been going here for 6 or 7 years and love it. They have a ton of equipment and it’s all well-maintained - machines, cardio, free weights, cables, Olympic stations, etc. The staff is friendly. The gym and locker rooms are clean. It has its busy times, but with basic gym etiquette and a bit of flexibility, I can always get in the workout I want. As long as you know it’s not rude to ask someone how much longer they are using something, you can always get it after they’re done. If you’ve never been to a real gym and this is too intimidating, you may not always get what you want if you can’t avoid the peak times, but at this price, you can’t expect to have the place all to yourself. I paid almost twice as much for a gym 20 years ago! Unless you need some super-specific equipment, you can’t go wrong here. If they could improve one thing, it would be to have a bit less cardio equipment and two more Olympic lifting stations (there are 6). Two thumbs up!!

Austin McCormick

Great gym, extremely clean, staff is friendly, and usually even at peak times you can get your routine done. Price is great as a young guy and someone who doesn't have a lot of money you can't go wrong paying under 20 dollars a month for a gym opened almost all the time. There may be some bad reviews here but really I love going to club 16. I have met a lot of great regulars in the gym and people who I know enjoy the environment just as much as I do when I go. There is people from all walks of life that go to club 16 men, women, old and young. The people that have been working out for ages and those just starting out along with everyone that is in-between. Great gym. I can't see myself going anywhere else.

Angie Landon

Do not become a member of this gym, especially the North Vancouver location. They ignore requests for cancellation and continue to charge your credit card after you cancel. Read all reviews!!! Their staff (JPierre) are well trained to offer no solution and ignore your concerns. Over $300 in NSF fees on a cancelled membership and an expired card. This does not include the biweekly fees for over a year. Ill be taking this situation to their corporate offices and to the BBB.

Ian Iacovitti

Club 16 North Vancouver is a great gym in a prime location. In terms of equipment their machines and free weights are kept clean and tidy. Their personal training staff is a strong standout of professionals who greet, and create bonds with clients more than the front of hours staff have. In my own opinion, the front of house staff has gone through waves of strong, connecting individuals who greet and are always on the go to staff that miss greets, are on their phones etc. the above I have never seen with the personal training staff and that is a huge credit to them, and their passion for their clients. The gym does get busy, especially in the evenings so I recommend hitting the gym at 5:30 am and start your day right!

G Chow

Personally, I enjoy coming to this gym. The equipment is in fairly good condition, the atmosphere is comfortable for any fitness level, and the price is right. There are several negative reviews about it being over crowded which can be true at times, but it's understandable why at 16$/wk membership dues. I can usually do a full workout in under two hours during the busy times.

Afsaneh Farzi

It has a pretty welcoming atmosphere. Donya is a wonderful person. She is full of positive energy, kind, optimistic, caring and considerate.

M B

The current general manager in this location (Kathryn B) is not responsive to account inquiries even after multiple email follow-ups. she either responds to emails very late (close to a month) or just doesn't respond. It is unfortunate as I liked going to this gym. But now that I am no longer a member, I cannot get a response.

Erin Fuller

I have been a member of this gym for just over a year. Last year I noticed that the ladies section was neglected (not as clean, weights not put away & finger prints on the mirrors that stayed there for weeks) so I contacted the manager (Shaun). Shaun responded to my email immediately, he was very polite & interested in what I had to say. Whenever I have a concern or think of ways to improve the gym I contact Shaun, he is always open to what I have to say and gets things done quickly. He truly cares about the members and tries to help improve the gym to ensure customers have a good experience in the facility. Shaun is a fantastic manager and his customer service skills are greatly appreciated.

Paolo

The administration of the gym is terrible and shady ! They have been charging me double fees several times (and sometimes 3x) and despite me calling them and emailing them, they have not solve the issue. I have talk with 4 different people and they have not solve the problem and it has been at least 3 weeks. Additionally, the gym has a shady cost structure, lots of hidden fees you have to take into account the 16 cad /month really ends up been 26-28/month.

Nicholas Burian

Just signed up. Very informative staff, and the first gym where I've gotten a walkthrough/info talk while signing up. Super clean, and not too crowded this morning.

Travis Tomlin

For the price and lack of hassle, this place is great. Lots of equipment, pretty empty after 8pm.

WL

This place is full of people with little to no gym etiquette. The staff do not seem to care about people slamming and not putting away thier weights. Staff are short and very rude whenever you try to communicate with them. I used to enjoy working out there but it seems that there always seems to be non existent staff over seeing the weight room area and reminding clients of the rules. Super dissapointed but i guess that what you get for $16 bucks a month.

Shane Hunter sr

For starters the staff ignores people, mostly teenagers working out in groups, no masks, not social distancing, not cleaning equipment. Not to mention segregation against the non vaccinated. I will never go there again and suggest you do the same.

Christina Chan

I had been with the gym for almost four years,I used to love the gym and went there regularly, even had joined personal trainer program when I first started. However, the gym has been crowded of people, I couldn't even use some equipments or find a space to place the workout mat - even before covid. I decided to cancel my membership last month and they were trying to make me pay extra two weeks- there's a 30-day cancellation policy, however mine was more than 40 days - this is how they run the business. I had tried to contact them through emails but they never gave me an explanation or replied "your last day was stated as the previous email ...". I had no choice but contacted Better Business Bureau and got the issue resolved. The $10 late/no-slow fee is a total rip-off btw. You charge $10 for no-slow makes some sense but showing up later than 15 mins in the timeslot reserved makes no sense to me. Stay away from the gym and save yourself some trouble.

Aaron Dupuis

No one answered the phone when I called. I had never been to this location before and I had questions about parking. Once I got into the gym upstairs, it was hard to find a staff member working to point me towards the mens change room and there wasn't adequate signage making that obvious. Other than those 2 issues, the gym experience was fine. What you would expect from Chain gym. I did like that the machines count and keep track of your reps as well as time your breaks. That was a nice feature.

D H

Absurdly over crowded gym, even during covid. I cant believe they are allowed to have 90 people in their location at once. Its gotten worse since every other gym in north van has gone bankrupt or is on reduced hours.

Andrea

After cancelling my membership.I have been waiting 3 months for a refund, because they kept charging my credit cards months after I cancelled my membership. They change manager every three or five months. Nobody wants to be held responsable For the lack of membership’s management. Retaining members money , is ilegal if you have been taking them out of their credit cards without consent Club 16!

Rashin Rohani

After spending money on previous registration, they offered me a 2 weeks free trial. After I reserved an appointment with the new manager Rubina to talk about this, she talked and acted very unprofessionally. She offered me a 3 day pass that I can only use .this month- this is an offer everyone is accessible to. It's as if the expenses are coming out of her own pocket, she didn't put in effort to compensate or help me, it was a waste of time to go. Don't go to this gym, their management I'd terrible and unprofessional. It's a waste of money.

Kal Voss

Signed up for some personal training three months ago now and have been promised a workout plan but still havent recieved anything. the trainer i had was recently fired and i had to find out myself secondhand, the managers of the facility have done nothing to communicate with me. Thoroughly upset with the level of customer service from management, not to mention the lack of communication. They’re happy to take your money and then ignore you. I wouldnt recommend anyone to come here.

Alireza A

I enrolled in this Club 16 about a month ago and have been there roughly 10 times now. The main problem that I see with this fitness is it is very CROWDED! You have to wait at least 5 minutes for any equipment. I have been in other fitness centres over the years but this one is unusual and unsafe in my opinion. Regardless of COVID situation, this many members should not be allowed in this space [+ never go there between 4 to 7 pm because you cannot find anything to do]. With COVID, the situation becomes even more tricky; I am not sure why the manager accepts more members when they don't have space. The staff basically don't care about this. I expect sooner or later there will be an outbreak in this gym. By the way, parking is awful! The main parkade is under repair, and the street parking: good luck!

Nairn Grundy

I always enjoy my time at the gym [ ladies only] and never need encouragement to come and use your facilities. Parking is a pain, but I have more or less got that under control. I do not ever use your parking lot. I prefer to use a mat for my floor work and it is a challenge on the main floor, which is where I prefer to work. I enjoy very much my time with Robbin, who is a terrific personal trainer. She is very knowledgeable and realistic. I feel that I get good value for my money at She's Fit.

Bita Khajavi

They charged me 4 times in one week because I was late on my booked sessions. On the website we can see there is fine for not showing up but there’s nothing about being late fine! Everytime that I see my credit card statements there are charges made by club 16 which I don’t have any clue what they are for!

Alex Moonjeez

Decent gym but the general manager is VERY rude and unprofessional. Yelling at customers for “Covid violation” instead of politely approaching the issue. I’ve never seen a bigger ego trip for a “gm” position that pays slightly more than minimum wage. She really needs to learn her place.

Andrew Brabandt

Lately this gym has been suffering a bit. Between the large crowds during covid and the amount of broken machinery, definitely considering switching gyms. About 10 machines currently broken, over half have been that way for over 2 weeks. Please make fixing the machines a higher priority, the machines are literally the main thing we pay to use. Also been charged 3 times for not showing up for booked time slots, even though I know I was present and checked in for these. Was told that the system has issues sometimes, but no one tried to offer reimbursement for the 3 10$ charges. Was told a manager would look at it, gave my name and number, nothing happened..

K R

I tried the 3 day, free pass and signed up for a membership. The first floor is for ladies only that appeals to me. There is lots of equipment so no waiting most of the time. The price is reasonable, the staff are helpful and they aren't pushy about getting you to join. There are free fitness classes and two free fitness consultations. One of the trainers, Jesse Erickson, offered me an additional free fitness consultation. He was encouraging, patient and provided lots of helpful exercises and tips to help me reach my fitness goals. Thank you!

Trainers clearly have no idea what they’re doing. Often see them doing exercises that could injure the client as well as wasting their time and money. Horribly managed as well.

I do not recommend Trevor Linden at all. They are trying to charge people 10$ for missing their workouts booked online, as well as if they cancel or change their gym times within 2 hours that it was booked AND if you're 15 minutes late to your workout. No one agreed to this in their contracts when they signed and therefore I do not think it is legal for them to try to implement new policies that no one agreed to. Furthermore, they failed to communicate these new rules to members as they did not post it in their gym, they did not email it to anyone or verbally inform members. They also do not seem to be properly cleaning the facility on a regular basis any time I have gone there since it re-opened due to covid.

I had been seeing Johnathan for personal training for about 5 months and with his skill and training expertise he managed to help me achieve a weight loss of almost 30lbs. Never in my life did I imagine getting my fitness back in check. Never did i feel like I was at a boot camp as he was super friendly and understanding of where my current fitness level was. If you're looking for a trainer on the north shore that can bring you amazing results fast... start training with Johnathan!!!!

I’ve been at Club16 for nearly two years now and I’m happy with the pricing, equipment and staff. There isn’t many class options for beginners but for regular weight lifters it’s great. Very busy after work, so try and avoid that

Called this location 32 times today with no answer. Seems like every time I try to reach out to cancel an appointment or ask about moving a time nobody is available to take the call. This isn't the first, second, third or even fifth incident of this happening. I recently stopped working out here because previously, myself and other gym patrons were made to wait 10-15 minutes past our booked gym slot(s) to enter the gym. The organization at this location is extremely poor.

It is more than 3 years I've joined Club 16 and enjoyed going there. Staff are very friendly, good equipment and best of all great personal trainers and group instructors like Sam, She is great, joyful and inspiring. The club should be proud having her as instructing staff, Sam keep up the good work! Khrystel Pigeon is very qualified personal trainer. She is a professional trainer and life coach. She helps her students to believe they could change their body and mind to become fit and better person.
