We offer you all the information of people like you who know the services and products of Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland (Gym) in the territory of Newfoundland and Labrador (Canada).
At the present this firm has a rating of 4.3 stars out of 5 and that score is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is quite positive, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the assessment is very accurate. If people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to give tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
Our stay was almost perfect. Would have liked to have access to a gift shop. Other than that we were very pleased. Very professional staff. Very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be returning.
It was my husband's birthday and I decided to spend it at the Sheraton as a surprise for him. I happened to mention this to the girl at the check-in desk. Later that evening a knock on the door to our room revealed a waiter with some …
Service in lounge is a bit slow. Room had a fabulous view of the harbour, Signal hill and the fog rolling in and out. The Club lounge needs a more varied selection from day to day. The same choice for 8 days was very boring. Liked the service elevator.
Great Service from the staff. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Only issue was the restaurant closed too early and only vending machines for snacks.
My family has stayed here 3 times now and each time the service has been phenomenal. The staff are all amazing. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We will absolutely be staying again when we are in …
Beautiful hotel with lush garden area. Lovely clean room with view of St. John’s harbour. Friendly helpful staff.
A wonderful stay, with wonderful people. Please fix the elevators.
My spouse and I stayed @ the Sheraton in St. John's, NL, on New Year's Eve. We found our room, the service and the food and beverages in the Club Room to be super. In spite of the special evening, patrons on our floor were well-behaved. …
I was not too happy with this most recent stay - I asked for a fridge in my room prior to my arrival. I was assured it would be available. Upon check in to my room - there was no fridge in the room. I called the front desk and I was told …
My spouse & I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in St. John's on New Year's Eve. The 5-course meal that we enjoyed was superb! Our room was well-appointed & spotless. The view of the waterfront and the Narrows was spectacular. We thoroughly …
Great staff and service. Our room and view was perfect. I have to thank Brenda and Paul on the Bell Desk. Laura in he sales departmenr helped me with some special requests I made from Toronto. My wife and I will only stay at this hotel when we return. Thank you to a great team.
I stayed for two nights on business as we were holding meetings there. The staff were so friendly and helpful with any need that we had from lending us the luggage trolley to move boxes to the meeting rooms to recommendations, reservations …
I just spent a wonderful weekend in this hotel. My room was clean and comfortable, my friend who was with me wanted to take the bed home! The staff were warm and friendly and the food was incredible both in the restaurant and in the banquet …
Attended for a professional meeting. Location was great, seating was great. Very happy with the venue. Food provided was good was well. Only real issue was the temperature. I found it quite cold in the room.
Staff were amazing, hotel and room was very clean and the view from our room was breathtaking
We stayed at the Sheraton on our last day in St. John's. We hadn't made a reservation but there was no problem getting a room. As an SPG member, we were upgraded to a corner room which gave us a great view of the city and up to Signal Hill. …
Signed up for the "Green" option, but then everything seemed to get neglected in the room, would not select this again. Room was average at best. Bar is amazing, good food. The Concierge was Excellent, very helpful, funny as were most staff. For the money spent it was not worth the room though.
The location was perfect for exploring St john's on foot. The view on the 7th floor, harbour side was of the ocean, docks, cruise ships, signal and was very nice. The rooms were a good size, in good shape, newly renovated and well worth the money. There is a pool and hot tub.
I've stayed in this hotel a few times and was very disappointed. I had no WiFi in my room and when I complained about it, they said they were having problems. I was there 2 nights and it was not resolved. …
nice hotel. biggest issue with this hotel is the smoking area. right in the way of travel for all guests as they make their way to the front door. gross smell and butts all over the ground. it would be much better if this was moved to the …
The Sheraton is a beautiful and charming hotel. It is close to the downtown area (making many shops and restaurants easily accessible) and even has a great view from its windows. The staff are friendly and the inside is gorgeous with it's interior garden. Rooms are always clean and the room service is delicious. I love staying here.
I stay frequently for business and I find that the noise factor is an issue. I was assigned to a room that had a locked adjoining door and the other guest would stay up quite late talking on her phone/ computer. It literally felt like they …
I used the hotel twice in one week; initially for 3 nights and then for 1 night. Front desk staff were superficial, with poor eye contact, and no positive facial affect. In both rooms the pillows were far too soft; in the preferred guest …
I was looking forward to my trip but was even more relaxed and felt like a get away when I walked into the hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The atrium was a sunken maze of tall trees and plants, with alcoves of tables for …
great hotel, beautiful location, a nice view of the city and of the Harbour. Friendly Staff! We had ordered Pizza in the evening of our stay (the pizza place was recommended by several staff members) When the pizza arrived the concerige …
The room was great but the elevator situation was a real irritant. Having 2 of 3 elevators down with the remaining on being sooo slow took away two stars. Also there is a strange parking lot situation where you must enter and exit the parking to pass through the car port.
Great location with nice views, but the property is poorly managed and very dated. Poor at recognizing status and seem to give our room upgrades or nicer views randomly rather than prioritizing by status. I’ve checked in as a Platinum or Titanium and been given a parking lot view while lower status members checking in at the same time have been given Harbour view rooms. This needs to change, no excuses. Start recognizing status properly or top tier customers will go elsewhere. The Delta is much better in this regard. Staff are often friendly but haphazard and poorly trained. General sense of poor leadership throughout. Parking is overpriced for the city. Many of the rooms have 1 Queen bed, which is uncompetitive and dated when the standard is 1 King.
Really good service. Comfortable beds. Decent rooms. One star less because bathroom was a little bit outdated compared to previous hotels I stayed.
Highly recommend this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and service focused. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a pleasure.
Very good location for the business visitor as the hotel is within walking distances of main business offices, restaurants and shops. Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds for a great night sleep. …
Just got back from a weather forced extended stay in St. John's. No problem getting a day-to-day extension from the staff; they were very helpful. Rooms were good, cleaned well, etc. …
Only stayed the evening as a get away from it all evening. Exceptional service from the start. Love the new renovations to the property, very bright, stylish. Customer service from all staff was exceptional.
The Hotel has always been a favorite of mine. They are currently undergoing some renovations but is not detracting from the charm and class. It has clean spacious rooms, comfortable to spend time in as the weather this …
Pros: good location, rooms are comfortable, good view of the harbour, friendly staff Cons: -Charge for parking everyday -One water bottle is free the second one 3.75 -No kids menu for room service, only in a restaurant-makes no sense -$4 for room service -No key access to the backdoor, which means after certain time you have to climb the hill to walk into the hotel -Doors close with enormous strength, no soft close here -all you hear is banging of the doors constantly Experience: -Coffeemaker still had old coffee packet inside, it smelled nasty. Asked them to replace it, they say they will take care of it, but never did. Till we complained 3 times. Never ended up using it as they just put some water on it and it still smelled nasty -3:30am neighbor is banging on their door, screams, commotion, throwing stuff. We called reception, they said they will send security, never did. Overall staff was friendly, but not useful. They nickel and dime you. There is not a lot of choice in St. Johns, so I guess they just don't care.
Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We were an emergency booking because of storm damage to our home and everything has been great! Love that we didn't have to displace our cats!
Great hotel, great location and what a view! Maricel at the front desk was fantastic finding me the right room for me with …
St John's was not on my list of places to visit. However, on my way to Italy we stopped here and I am really glad we did. The Sheraton is really nice and the staff is very kind. If your close do yourself a favor and stop in. Visit The Keg for dinner. THE BEST!
Spent New Years at the Sheraton and had an amazing stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious, and room was clean and comfortable. When we stay at the Sheraton we always feel like we are going home!
Overall nice experience The location is not the best , the view was good . Will come back .
I have stayed many times at the Sheraton in St John's, last year was less than average and this year was completely awful and disappointing. Prior to entering the room, room service trays were outside the room across from …
This is my first time staying at this hotel and I will look forward to staying there in the future. I wasn't thrilled with my check in, I did not feel that I had the full attention …
Beautiful hotel, but the rooms aren't worth the price. Dirty counters in the bathroom with toothpaste stains, only two towels, ans no microwave. Not what we'd expect for over $200 a night. Great service, great location, but not worth the high costs in our opinion.
We were very disappointed with the Sheraton in St. John's. It is run down and dated. They have spent some money updating the lobby and and restaurants but need to spend money on the rooms. The rooms were dirty and dusty. When we had to have …
This hotel is ideally situated for visiting historical sights and walking in nature as well as in the old city centre. The staff were all, without exception, exceptionally helpful and friendly. They were particularly kind to our large dog. …
I had a lovely stay at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland. The hotel room was spacious with a beautiful view and the staff were friendly and helpful. One of the highlights was an invitation to the monthly corporate event where I was treated …
Outdated hotel. Overpriced rooms for under quality looks. However. Great breakfast variety. Great member lounge and relaxing swim pool/gym
I love this hotel. The scent of the pool, the softness of the beds and sheets, everything about it is amazing. The hotel staff treat you like kings and queens and overall it is my favorite hotel experience.
Very clean and comfortable bed and sheets. Good proximity to craft breweries and food.
Nice weekend getaway with the family. Had to wait beyond normal Check-in time for our room but was compensated with a free breakfast. Hotel is under some renovations and felt very modern and up to date.
Located seconds from Duckworth and Water streets, this hotel is well taken care of, clean, and offers comfortable beds. Parking is $14 / day. There is a small hotel bar with a few slot machines if you want to test your luck.
Although this hotel is centrally located, the rooms need further improvement. One can hear other guests in adjacent rooms and in the hallways. The fan is too noisy to leave on all night. There is no safety deposit box in the room for valuables. Given the significant nightly rates, one expects accomodations higher than three stars.
Fantastic views from the room and great location close to spectacular walking trails. …
I really liked the room I had and the people are very nice and friendly (as all Newfoundlanders) but I was often awaken in the middle of the night as my mouth and throat were too dry. The AC somehow sucks the air dry and it made sleeping …
It was a great break, Staff were amazing and very helpful.
Great food at the restaurant and the bar. Stayed on the 7th floor which was newly renovated and had an amazing view - very clean. …
We had a fabulous stay at this hotel, highlighted by wonderful helpful staff. Dawn assisted with our room reservations and was extremely helpful. Housekeeping staff went above and beyond with any request we had including bringing us a …
Offered the perfect getaway for us! Beautiful room with exceptional views Within walking distance to all things we wanted to visit!!!
I stay at this hotel often. I find the staff to be the best at any hotel that I have stayed at. …
My wife is slightly handicap with a bad hip and a lung disorder. The staff immediately found the things that were necessary to help her stay be more comfortable such as a toilet seat to make the seat higher and a air cleaner fan. This made …
Recently I arrived in NFLD with 2 friends and booked rooms at Sheraton Hotel NFLD. This was our 2nd visit to NFLD, but first stay at Sheraton Hotel NFLD. When we arrived at hotel and went to check in counter, we had the warmest …
The hotel did not have anything posted about maintenance on pool / hot tub in advance of my booking. …
During sign in I asked for a champagne ice bucket. This required a 5 minute disunion and then a 15-20 minute wait just to get an ice bucket. …
Pro: Good price, great hotel, great staff, clean, great food. We ALWAYS stay here. Con: As a paying guest, you should have parking available in your already TERRIBLE parking lot, especially on weekends. When there is a function/conference/wedding etc...during the weekend, you have to park in the parking lot of another building. Off grounds parking should be allotted to visitors, not PAYING guests staying in the hotel. It's a total pi$$ off.
My sister and cousin and friend made a 4 day weekend to St John’s and stayed at Sheraton Newfoundland. Great location, good size room for 4 ladies. Harbour view room had great views. We choose it because it was close to Signal hill and we …
Very nice hotel with a great staff and a great view. A huge bed, a huge fridge and a microwave in my room. I'm a flight attendant and I've been staying in different hotels for the past 10years and this hotel is in my top 10. The view from my room was awesome. Also 2 free bottles of water.
Enjoyed our stay. Staff were great, rooms were great. Kids had fun. Parking was good and hotel amenities were good.
The hotel was excellent. I went to the club lounge on the first night and have never before been to a club lounge that served mussels! Superb! Service good and attentive, room spacious and bed extremely comfortable. …
Very nice stay. Everything was as expected. The towels were fraying which was my only disappointment.
Put a food trey outside my door.. two days later it was still there.. no scheduled room service to freshen room.. restaurant and bar closed on Sundays .. as if people dont need to eat on sundays.
We booked a corner room, and just before we arrived, we got an e-mail to upgrade to Club level. I accepted the upgrade and on check in, I found we had lost the corner room in the process. At no place on the upgrade e-mail did it say we …
Staff were very nice and very accommodating. I have a gluten allergy and the Opidan restaurant had gluten free bread and made food separately to avoid cross contamination. Hotel room was nice however sheets could be renewed and carpets in hallway stained and dingey.
Had a lovely stay at The Sheraton, the staff are wonderful and very accommodating, I had a great swim in the pool and really enjoyed it. The room was very clean and had a great waterfront view but it is starting to become a little dated and shabby looking. Overall had a great stay and will return
One of the best in St.john's for location and parking. Rooms are clean and the hotel itself is very elegant.
Only 2 of 3 elevators working, leading to long waits on a VERY busy weekend. Also jets for whirlpool broken. Décor seemed a bit "tired" compared to our stay 2 years ago. Not enough parking; Bivver server untrained in wine serving. Pool was …
The staff are 10/10 no doubt about that. The food is deserving of its higher prices. (But still affordable) the room I was in was absolutely spotless overall the full experience was perfect. The staff were super accomadating the entire time I was there and were very respectful. The bartenders always had a story, and the wait staff were very attentive. The food came out in near record times. By far the best place to stay in the city hands down.
1 of the beds was broken in our room. The tv never worked despite contacting the front desk twice. The shower tap was very loose, we were nervous that it would fall off.
Waiting an hour to check in was a major waste of time. The cost of the buffet breakfast was astronomical and the food was cold. Ripoff! I wouldn't have complained but since you asked, here it is. I was willing to write it off as a bad experience and lesson learned. I won't be back.
We spent a mini vacation on Saturday night, Jan 25th. The room was lovely and we had an amazing meal at the hotel, the food is the best we have had in the city - hands down. Friendly staff and good service. The next morning I went to the …
I went to the Sheraton just to pick up my daughter, only to learn that I needed to get a parking slip upon entering the parking lot, and it was set up in such a way that I couldn't turn around once I arrived at the parking gate. I had no choice but to take the slip so the gate would open. The only good thing was that once my daughter arrived in a few minutes, I was able to drive past the exit gate because there was enough room to the right.
The hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area. The lobby with the atrium is unique and has a great atmosphere. My room was very comfortable and clean with a commanding view of the harbour. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had a great stay and would highly recommend this property.
Hotel was ok which is good for newfoundland. There was no housekeeping Friday and satirdays which was in small small print on a paper they gave us when we checked in. However, the desk person said if we advised by 1030am we needed …
In the current state, this hotel is only composed of mediocre rooms with very limited additional services. The view was nice and the room itself was okay. But accommodations from the front desk were limited, there’s no hot tub, no food (not …
Food was good. Facilities for our meeting were good. The main doors being locked was pretty annoying. The new parking fees weren't well communicated to our organizing committee - we've been coming here for years and this was a new policy that should have been better communicated so our members would have been prepared.
Good access. Close to all touristy related areas. Very competent people in all areas of hotel. King bed was great. Premium pay extra internet was great . Room service was very convenient and food was great.
On checkin, hotel did not find booking. Phone in room broken, tv signal was unwatchable. Could hear people in next room urinating. Hair dryer was missing . Door to room sticks, had to force shut. Others doors slammed so loud it woke me up many times.
This hotel is exquisite! The restaurant in the lobby is so amazing! Hotel lobby always has coffee or water that you can enjoy and can found just by the elevator. If you will just walk down the moment you exit the hotel you will see all idyllic colorful houses. It is very close to the port, just 15- 20 mins walk to signal hill and coffee shop with great coffee just across the hotel, and if you feel like drinking there are tons of pubs near the hotel. You wouldn't miss to buy any souvenirs as there is a souvenir shop with great products close to the hotel. There is a grocery store just few walks away from the hotel too!
