Overall my experience with JK conditioning has been great, I highly recommend him to anyone seeking any sort of improvement in their fitness needs. This is a long time coming, just a note after running the HnP full marathon, my first marathon! Thanks for the community, the help and the support not just for this season but the years previous that I’ve been sweating at JK. This year’s plans had me training harder than I ever knew I could and the gainz spoke for themselves. PBs and confident first times at every race this year! Coach told me that I put in a lot of hard work this year but, it was more than that, it was smart work. Thanks to you and Thomas for helping keep me relatively injury-free, strong and confident to take on this year’s challenges. I wouldn’t have been able to post the times that I have without the JK community on my team. Now onto next year’s challenges, with confidence.

I’ve been going to Jon since August 2014. I’m not trying to be a better marathon runner or a better NHL hockey player (at least not yet). I suffer from a certain condition, a disinclination to activity or exertion despite having the ability to do so (yes…we all know the real word for that). Jon is a professional trainer who cares about and is committed to what he is doing, is enthusiastic, consistent and dedicated to his profession and not just doing a job. It really helps me be consistent and dedicated (and sometimes enthusiastic….just not this week after the 2 week XMAS break). I started toying with the idea of using a personal trainer in 2013 and saw Jon’s site and I should have contacted him then…..instead of buying that home gym, thingamabob, whatchamacallit…..which requires constant referral to a manual. Things work so much better for me when I have an appointment with someone telling me what to do, how to do it and offering motivation. My manual doesn’t do that and the thingamabob, whatchamacallit doesn’t care if I ever show up.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience with JKConditioning. I started training with Jon a year and a half ago post baby and got myself back into better shape and most notably stronger shape. Pregnant again, I have continued to work with him throughout my pregnancy and have felt great with the workouts. If you are looking for a trainer who will push your limits and get you results, then look no further, he is one of the best.

I recently visited Newfoundland for one month, and was looking for a good place to train while I was there. Jon and the team at JK conditioning really took the time to assess what I already knew, and set achievable goals for the time that I had with them. The gym was such a great place to push yourself. It had everything you needed, but more importantly it had a well organized, very knowledgeable, and really motivating group of trainers to push you at each workout. Not to mention a really nice group of other members who also motivated me to go that little bit further. I would highly recommend the gym to anyone who has a goal and wants to find a place to help them achieve it.

My experience training with Jon has been fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to evaluate and assess mobility issues, and worked with me to find variations on exercises that don't aggravate my injuries while simultaneously providing exercises and stretches to improve mobility. Anyone looking to get a workout plan that will meet YOUR individual goals and be tailored to your own body, JK Conditioning is the right place! They're also very responsive through email to answer any follow up questions or concerns. I can't say enough good things about JK Conditioning!

He is very clear in setting the plan once goals are identified and modifies things as needed. His approach is evidence-based and he is a stickler for good technique.
