When we lost power for 7 days a few years ago due to a tropical storm, YMCA opened their doors and allowed people to shower there for free. I will forever be grateful to them for this.

Nice gym. Was misinformed on a couple things during my initial walk through (what ever it happens) After my week trial I decided I’d purchase a membership.I started questioning some services I thought were included ( Mentioned to me on my walk through) the lady got nasty and basically accused me of wanting free services. The YMCA is doing a great job at allowing people to have a space to work out during the pandemic. They have measures in place to ensure that no one gets sick, including taking your temperature upon entry and making you sanitize your hands. Some equipment that was there in March is now gone, but that's to be expected with how the gym was rearranged to allow at least six feet between machines.

Very friendly staff. Nice basketball courts and squash courts. They have a very nice bright (lots of natural light) 25m pool. The pool can tend to be really busy during noon-time lap swims (evenings are much quieter) and at times seems really dirty, but mostly it's a great place to swim.

We ordered a large wonton soup bowl and it was very tasty and big enough for two. In addition, my wife ordered beef with broccoli which she really loved and I ordered a dish with shrimps, scallop, and squids which was very tasty but really hot. So, if you do not like very hot food, you want to ask them to prepare it mild. All in all, food was delicious and portions were very generous ???? The interior is somewhat basic but the view from the window was really nice.

Terrible afterschool program! Kids come home completely bored. Didn't even have paper to color on one day so they colored on paper towel. Daughters shoes were lost/stolen due to negligence on the YMCAs part and they refused to replace. Swimming times were stated to be an hour a week in the handbook but was cut to half an hour shortly into the year with no explanation which translates into about 15 minutes in the pool. We never get the monthly calendars which has caused us to miss appointments because we don't know where they are. School closed halfway through the day due to power outage and they were the only afterschool program to not pick up. Not worth the the money. Way better afterschool programs out there.

Loud, noisy and the chlorine levels in the pool burned of the top layer of my son's body. He is registered for individual swimming lessons but we will not be returning.

I was a member for years in Calgary and it was topnotch and so is the one in Fredericton. Very welcoming staff, clean gym, all the useful equipment, squash courts, clean changing rooms and showers.

The after school child care program is a waste of money. Aweful and disappointed. They do not tell the parents anything. I have 3 children that go there and all of them are having problems and do not enjoy going. They have attended other child care centers before and I have never experienced any problems like this.

The customer treatment here is just awful, I've had two awful experiences with them and it has made me so frustrated that they don't offer any help to resolve their client's issues. Never going back they don't deserve any praise for the horrible service they provide!

So, after going to the y for 6 months now, i'm placing this as a two because, being an active gym goer, there's sadly a lot of the main things that I need to maintain fitness that are just quite lacking. Having 2 squat racks and 2 bench racks for a gym of this size is pretty poor. There have been times where its literally 3 people have booked a rack and you have to wait for over an hour to ask the third person if they'll be done soon. Maybe if you're a gym goer who's routine is to target specific muscles its ok, but for any full body gym goers, this just isn't it. I'm going rn because there's no memes about putting yourself in on a waiting list, but the moment covids over id suggest taking a peek at other facilities. Review over :)

How is love the Fredericton YMCA to such a great facility they have so much aw fair especially with assisting people in need you don't have enough to be able to afford a membership by the other gym this is a really great place we love the programs are you have to offer and we're so happy to have you in the city and all the neighbouring city in New Brunswick thank you so much for everything I highly recommend this facility it's really clean it's really really professional staff were very friendly and helpful lenstra such a great place in a great place to meet people in tried new and different things thanks for everything guys hope to see you soon

I had recently called the my local YMCA here in Fredricton and I talked to a nice young gentleman named Kalevi. We talked for about 20 minutes and he helped me find what plan I needed for myself and my family to help us get active and back in shape. He was so polite, he was very smart and knew what he was talking about, and overall he seemed like he really loved what he was doing and loved helping other people get in shape. I had a great experience dealing with your welcome desk. I think every YMCA should hire more people like kalevi!

Cleaned every 15 minutes, pretty much. People are nice, trainers are kind and let you do your own workout. Staff at front desk are nice, with the exception of one nasty grey-haired lady. Most machines are always available (leg machines break very often). Otherwise great location.

I'm not particularly fond of this YMCA. Very unpleasant overall. Young gentlemen who seem stoned or stunned work the welcome desk in the evening and it's very uncomfortable speaking with them. In general the gym has an air of arrogance and pretentiousness that most gyms are plagued by, but not usually the YMCA. Also the price at this YMCA is almost offensively high compared to others. Not impressed.

Terrible new leadership at this facility. I'm outraged that the contract I signed, which included child-minding in my membership fees, is not being honoured. I can no longer use this gym, as I cannot afford the new child-minding fees. Absolutely unprofessional in that they did NOT announce this publicly via newsletter, social media, or any contact directly with many of the families this new rate affects. I had to find out via social media, and even then Dickson lied about the rates via the CBC article-- they are a far cry from 1-6$ a month. Low income families and single parents on sliding rates are the ones who have now been shut out by this "charitable organization," and no one will accept the responsibility of even communicating with me regarding this matter. I helped with the media campaign for the community closet when the YMCA staff requested me to. My child's pictures are used in brochures and fundraising campaigns-- because I BELIEVED THAT WE WERE INCLUDED AND VALUED MEMBERS OF THIS GYM. But we are not, regardless of what we offer to do to help, we have been cast aside.

A great pool for kids. The small pool was warm and had a nice little slide that even my 7 to enjoyed. The larger pool was comfortably warm.
