I've been a member of Maverick Fitness for 11 months now - and in that time I've lost 30 Lbs and 10% body fat, while dramatically increasing my functional strength. The results speak for themselves. I've never been a member of a gym like Maverick before. When I first joined I went through a detailed consultation with the owner, Cody Abbey. During this session, Cody measured my strength, flexibility, body fat percentage, he even sent me home with a kit to measure my blood sugar. Clearly from the outset this was not a gym where I was being shoehorned into a pre-existing class or model - Cody pays close attention to the needs and goals of each client. Once I started working out at Maverick - it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. I mostly attend group workouts 4 days a week. The warm ups for these work outs are harder than the actual work outs I have done at other gyms. I've never worked so hard in my life at a gym or enjoyed it more. Every day is a new challenging work out routine. Quite simply, if you follow Cody's advice, both in the gym and the kitchen, you will achieve the results you desire. However what is equally important is the great community Maverick Fitness has. I've never been a part of a gym that has so many great people as members. This isn't a gym full of mirrors and posers or muscle bound protein shake drinkers - this is a great and diverse community of people of all ages and sizes that are committed to a bettering themselves and others. I've made some great friends at Maverick - joining Maverick Strength and Fitness is easily the best decision I've made since moving to Nelson over a year ago.
