I have rented a room for my classes at this facility for the past three years and it is wonderful with super helpful staff and very reasonable rates. There is ample parking, big tables and chairs, and extra equipment that can be reserved or borrowed. It is always clean and welcoming. It has been a joy to host my classes here.

It’s nice to be close to nature at this rev centre. This place have everything for a family to enjoy the evening time, kids can play in the park while grown ups can go for small walk and work out in the nearby open to all exercise area. Yet to experience the facilities available in the Center.

Has lots of activities and the staff is very helpful. It has a awesome fenced in playground. There is a short walk to a pond. The duck came over to see if I had any food.

I love coming to Oliver woods park and community center. The playground is awesome for the kids. It's almost like a huge wooden castle like structure all connected together. And there is an outdoor fitness area for the adults. Really is an awesome place to check out.

Great little community centre with lots going on. It has two giant gyms and a bunch of smaller rooms. The playground outside is great!

Lots of fitness classes and programs here. A wonderful gym (or 2). It is a shame they don't have a pool at this location. This is a newer, very clean, and well run city facility.

Have hosted my childrens birthday parties there on several occasions. Fairly priced and can pay for access to the gymnasium as well as their assortment of sports equipment, ie. Basketballs, hockey sticks/nets etc. Would recommend.

We've always been happy with the playground, the ability to watch the ducks, and participating in one of the many classes and activities they have there. I just wish they owned the part that is now a suburban housing development. Beautiful grounds.

Great staff and facility here with 2 gyms and multiple meeting / birthday party rooms. Some rooms have a full kitchen. Check out the city of Nanaimo.ca website for the activity guide. The park is amazing for kids and has tables for picnics. Check out the wildlife at the duck viewing dock along the trail behind Oliver Woods

Beautiful community center in the Uplands community of Nanaimo. Access through over Road, it has sports arena, meeting and social room. Has children play park, small hiking track into woods. Comfortable free parking. There will be Police cars parked most of the time at the side of building but don't know if there is a police post. Shae open free Wi-Fi signals available if you are a Shaw customer. As soon as you enter there is a reception counter to answer your questions or to direct you. There is also small.lobby by the side.

Went to a birthday party for a 4 year old.had the use of the gym for an hour.kids were totally worn out.it was great! And then the party room for cake and treats.Great Birthday Party Place

Great playground for the kids and adults. Kids can run around and burn energy while you use the outdoor exercise equipment and pretend you're at muscle beach getting your flex on. There is a community police station there for safety and great indoor basketball court. Check the schedule for times as it changes.

Love the drop.in gym , also have attended quite a few birthdays here which have always had a great turn out. I also am a big fan of the pj and play drop in my son has been a handful of times and just has a blast! Its a great interactive after dinner activity, its 45 min long if you havent checked any of this out you have too! Also have a run of the gym Friday mornings
