The only real flaw in the Econofitness formula is the complete lack of supervision. It's a decent gym. Almost busy everytime I go. The equipments' placement are well placed. Most equipments are clean. Only a few have significant wear damage. Staffs are friendly even if they aren't at the counter most of the time. The good thing is that they are more engaged with the people going to the gym. For instance, they would show someone how does the equipment works.

Cannot comment about staff so will comment about equipment available and the layout which is why I deducted a star. The layout is bizarre size there are different corners you have to go to to use different pieces of equipment. Not dedicated places with mats but just a bunch of different things. The exercise area are also elevated and not flat making things annoying during a workout. Not enough trees for the plates around usually all the weight is found on a single machine rack somewhere. Also not many plates to begin with. Some good info to know about the equipment available: - 1 Squat Rack - 2 Flat Bench - 1 Incline Bench - 1 Decline bench - 1 Overhead press stand - 2 Smith machines - Max dumbbell is 75 - Many cardio machines If I think of anything else I'll update this review!

I don't understand why we need TWO pairs of shoes to go into the gym when I park in the basement. It is very annoying to have to bring my stuff into the gym when I could just leave everything in my car (which is the whole point of having a car to begin with...) This is the ONLY Econofitness that does this. Pointless. Also, they charge 2.35$ for ONE mask... nice way to profit off of people. I broke my mask during my workout and the small blond lady at the front wouldn't give me another one, she said she would charge me. 2.35!! A whole box of masks cost maximum 3$... Do better. Lastly, a lot of machines are broken all the time and the parking lot's very poorly organized.

One of the best places to train in town, it is very known for its competitive price on the market, i went there for a quick free session to try it, i wasn’t disappointed, good and well maintained equipment, very clean too. The only drawbacks are just that i find it a little small but that’s just my personal opinion, the toilets are inside the changing rooms and the heaviest dumbbells were 75 pounds. Other than that everything was great. There is even food and beverages for athletes to add that extra protein intake.

Appart le fait que c'est pas une bonne idée pour ceux en train de balancer des poids, mais il y a une façon plus poli de le faire. A 9:30pm, les lumières s'éteignent, ce qui te force de te changer dans la noirceur. Le staff malgré cela reste poli et replace les poids de façon consistente. J'aimerais, si possible, que le gym prends mes commentaires au sérieux et essaie de rectifier certain points.

This gym, just like the Promenade Cathedrale unit, has a very convenient location, accessible via the metro, however the commercial center in which it's installed closes many of its doors rather too soon. It is larger than the Promenade unit, clean, bright and full of mirrors. Equipment is fresh and new, though the cushions are very hard and uncomfortable. It does not open on weekends, so have that in mind if you choose the Econo membership. If your training regime includes deadlifts or squats, do know that they only have one squat rack (the Promenade unit has two) However they do have 3 smith machines, 1 of which is available in the Promenade unit, the other two are a type of smith machine which looks like a cross over between a traditional smith machine and a squat rack. I really like their cable crossover machine which has a pretty high bar that should be good enough even for the tallest of us. I see many folks using steps to reach it. As far as maintenance is concerned, I'm pretty disappointed to note that fixing a machine may take several weeks, like the leg curl machine that was out of order for over a month during the summer of 2017 (see photo)

Il faut aller ailleurs que dans ce secteur (Viau, St-Michel, Mtl-Nord) pour constater la différence. Allez voir à RDP, Laval ou Chambly ... C'est le jour et la nuit ! Très décevant. Although I enjoy the gym itself, I'm considering switching elsewhere as twice in the past two months (and I've only been a member since August), staff have shown up late to open the gym. This morning I waited for 35mins before finally leaving, so have no idea what time it managed to open....extremely unprofessional.

Overall, un bon gym pour ce que ça coûte !
