Purchased a $1000 water rower online, we finally received it this January and it is not calibrated properly and reads that you've gone an exceptionally far distance with minimal rowing. With a bit of back and forth between Fitness Avenue and the manufacturer, they had me send a reading to them. Several follow-up emails from me have now gone unanswered and I guess I'm stuck with a brand new, basically useless $1000 piece of equipment. Was really disappointed they didn't continue to troubleshoot this for me, and I have no way to reach the manufacturer directly.

Purchased several items many years ago. Last month I returned to buy foam gym flooring. They have obviously changed their supplier. The new floor is terrible. Won't stay locked together. Also slides much more which just makes it dangerous. Edges come off way to easily. I tried to leave a review on their site of course they never post it. I will post pictures here. Also purchased hex dumbell and the smell was horrible even after washing them. Did get a refund for those. If you are buying equipment like a rack or bench they won't refund you so beware.

They continue to impress me from the quality of their equipments to their professionalism during delivery! Absolutely excellent fitness equipment store that carries a wide variety of products. I ordered a squat rack, bench, plate holder, curl bar, leg curl, and landmine attachment from here. Every product was reasonably priced and the quality was superb. Some review may criticize the quality of fitness avenue products but they are of solid construction and build. The customer service representatives are very friendly and helpful, especially Yevgeny who helped me set up my home gym during the Covid 19 pandemic. For anyone looking for affordable, good quality products with great customer service, I would recommend fitness avenue.

The bench I bought is ok, I would probably go for another one though, this one wobbles and is pretty high off the ground. This place has no customer service. If you call, you wait and then the call disconnects without an option to leave a voicemail. I emailed support a few times however no one is replying to the emails. I bought Power Balance ball which broke and there is no way to reach the company. Very disappointed with the service and will not be shopping here again.

Good website and quick delivery. Product was in good shape. Product I bought was workout mats, 12 on sale for $29.99. The mat itself was not high density foam as they advertised. It's more of the children's play room grade than what you would want for a workout floor. Any dumbbell over 20lbs will permanently flatten the mat.

You get what you pay for. Zero after-purchase support. They do/will not respond to email and good luck finding any contact info for whoever the company is that manufacturers fitness products they sell under the AmStaff brand name. A very poor experience, lesson learned.

I ordered a squat rack from fitness avenue during these unprecedented COVID times because like so many others, I am building a home gym. On their website they clearly indicated what to expect in terms of time it takes to process an order, and ship, etc. So from the get go I knew that my order would take 10-15 business days to even process let alone ship. On day 14, I got a call from Fitness Avenue saying my order was processed and following that I got a shipping confirmation. The time from that phone call to receiving my package was another few days, and without any issues I got my stuff. The delivery person's name was Anthony and he was SO helpful and respectful of social distancing - it's really great these services are even open right now, so thank you so much! Overall, the wait time was a bit of a bummer - but what else can you expect right now when companies are trying their best. I had a great experience and actually just ordered some weight plates this morning. Thanks FA!

With the gyms all closed, I wanted to get a good chin/dip station for home. After searching extensively, I found one in-stock at Fitness Avenue online. There was a note indicating that there would be a 15 to 20 business day wait, but I placed my order anyways. I was pleasantly surprised that after 14 business days, two large packages arrived via FedEx containing my order. The unit came neatly packaged and it took about 90 minutes to assemble it. I am pleased with the build quality and the great price that they were selling it for. I looked at similar units that were much more expensive.

Our experience has been favourable, for the most part. Unlike many reviewers here that seem to have had a beef with their customer service, we did find the customer service that we received to be very good, and found Fitness Avenue to be responsive to emails etc. As far as the quality of the products we received, well..I guess it would depend on what you get to be honest, but again the general rule in anything commerce is always " you get what you pay for", so that said, you shouldn't expect commercial gym quality type of equipment if you are paying THAT much less for it!. You will get what you pay for. Will it be enough to carry you thru your home workouts? More than likely, will you end up on your butt at some point, with a failing bench? Possibly.. LOL :)

As others have mentioned, do you any expect any kind of support once you buy any equipment. I received a defective bench, opened up a support ticket February 24th. They asked me to send photos, which I did, and that is the last I heard from Rich. I called in after 2 weeks, they apologized for not having a "tech" review the issue and we're going to look into it. After numerous follow-up attempts, nobody ever got back to me. I would not support them after this given their complete lack of support.

Price and delivery time was great but was the delivery ever painful. Delivery guy was rude, rushed the process, wouldn't put the box in the front door or on the porch even. He decided to leave it on the driveway and told us to move the car and keep it in the garage. After arguing he didn't know how to operate the lift and kept trying to unload the box off the truck sideways on the dolly. Was a nightmare. He only wanted to do what was easiest for him and would rather have my wife and I try and move a treadmill from the driveway up 3 stairs and on the porch.

I have ordered 3 times from Fitness Avenue during covid, the first order took 3 weeks. The second 2 took around 4-5 weeks due to the same shipping vs billing address issue as mentioned by other reviewers. I get it. These guys are very busy and very in demand and their prices are not hiked up to match the demand. They are offering great products at fair prices. They’ve received a lot of criticism and I get why people are upset that they have to pay twice for the same order and hope for a refund on their credit cards. I get it. But I got my products and I’ve gotten my refund. Thanks to Fitness Avenue for keeping tight during covid and high demands. I could’ve panicked by reading reviews, but I trusted FA and they delivered. They’re are not a suspicious company as would suggest by how they’ve handled the credit card billing address issue. They’ve done the best they can. They’ve probably even identified areas they can improve including customer service, their ordering technology, among others. But hey, it’s a first for everyone. Let’s give these guys the benefit of the doubt. They’re a legitimate business that’s not here to scam anyone, they’re just struggling to keep up with supply and demand. Safety Squat Bar specs are incorrect. It will not fit a 49" rack. Also I had a difficult time returning my item but eventually it was returned. I would give 3 stars but when I look on the website they removed my review of the item warning people about the incorrect size listing.

Bought a bike (AmStaff Spin Bike), worked for 3 months - left pedal will not rotate anymore. Initially made contact with them, they asked to bring the bike to their store - not possible as I don't have a vehicle large enough to transport it. I asked for them to just ship me the part so I can attempt to repair it myself, they've gone completely dark. It's been a year and a half...

I previous had left a scathing negative review of Fitness Avenue, but upon going against my better judgement, I deleted it and made a significant purchase. There really is almost no alternative in home gym equipment currently, and I have a few friends who were satisfied with their orders. I was extremely annoyed with lack of curbside pickup and while I am less annoyed now, it is still a bone of contention I have with this company. That being said, my first (and definitely not last) transaction with Fitness Avenue was actually excellent. I ordered a power rack, adjustable bench, and a bunch of virgin rubber olympic plates. 6 days after my order, I received a phone call to arrange delivery (I chose the local delivery option for $100). It took a total of 9 days for my order to be delivered, pretty painlessly, other than it arriving approximately 3 hours later than I was told. A little inconvenient as I left work early and rushed home to be there, but no big deal. The quality appears pretty good for what you are paying, installation is not difficult but the instructions are pretty poor. They’re just illustrations showing you part numbers and placements, and the image clarity is a little rough. You’ll want to take your time and lay out your pieces and be sure things are the right way before tightening everything. Helps to have two people with the rack given the length of the supports. I have a bit of an issue with one of the welds on the support bracket /pin that holds your olympic bar, I will supply a pic for reference. Other than that, everything really looks good. Paint is scuffed in some places, probably from shipping, but nothing egregious. Honestly, I judged this company too harshly as I feel extremely satisfied with what I got, for the price pice, and at the speed. I will definitely be placing an order with them again at some point in the near future.

I recently purchased 10 pound bumper plates. I was incredibly disappointed at the quality of the product. I put one on the bar, and when I went to put the second plate on the other side the first loaded plate buckled. There is no warning about the plate not being sturdy or durable. And there is no way to load both at the same time, so there’re garbage.

Bought first the cable column system from AmStaff. 2107df. In december. Within a week I got the virgin vinyl plates set. I got the plates first 2 weeks later and then got the machine. Pros and cons. Cons first: very little. Because Fitness Avenue is busy don't expect fast email responses if any to your inquiries. This makes sense. They only respond regarding follow ups to their own emails to you regarding status. Their truck broke down on delivery initial ETA so had to wait 4 days. All this is very little inconvenience. Pros: lots. Excellent as advertised product. Plates were perfect. Machine parts were in perfect order. Instructions were hard to follow with a lot of common sense procedures omitted but still would have appreciated better instructions. You can define the assembly in two sections. First, the body parts of the machine that count 10-12 parts. Then the pulley system with wheels. The machine once assembled feels very good for what it is. The more weight the better because it forces more release tension as opposed to using a single 5 lb plate. Still very smooth considering. 4/5 for smoothness. The quality of all parts are very good. 9/10. If you weigh more than 200lbs be careful when doing chin-ups as the weight and gravity of the machine is not enough to counterweight so might topple over you. As such make sure to always add all and any available plates on the machine for your piece of mind. So far I am quite happy with what it has to offer and I must say the value / cost is excellent.

I have never heard so much whining in all my life. These guys are not a scam. I placed my order March 30th and received my order April29th. Yes their communication is a little lacking but considering the amount of orders they are getting I completely understand, also if you look around they are not price gouging like most company's! Ordered over 400lbs of rubber coated Olympic plates for my home gym setup. Really great value compared to a lot of other fitness equipment suppliers. There was a bit of a delay in getting the plates due to the pandemic but that’s obviously out of their control. I received everything according to the timelines they set out (actually faster than orders for other fitness products placed weeks earlier from another supplier) and I’m extremely satisfied with everything! I would definitely order from them again when I need more equipment!

Poor customer service. I ordered 3 days back for pickup. Inadvertently ordered two racks in place of one. Have been trying to contact them cancel one for 3 days. However, almost impossible to reach them through email or phone. One time I got lucky 2 days back and they agreed to cancel right away. But never received any confirmation so far. And after that never been able to get through leaving me no option to write here. Tru Treadmill Factory is the best for home gym equipment; best service and value. I recently purchased a few things there and although I was happy with the staff and most of my purchases. I was given the wrong weight bag, not the one I intended to purchase. I decided to let it go because I didnt want to drive back there. During the absoloute first workout I was using the weight bag for, it ripped. The bag was intended to carry 80 lbs but I only loaded it up with 50 pounds. I am quiet disappointed with its lack of quality. Its the AMstaff weight/sand bag.

Everything went well besides not being able to know pick up schedule when ordering it was kind of unfair, when I received phone call the only option was Mon-Fri 10-5. That should be more clear when ordering, also there should be an option for someone else to pick up. My wife went to pick up and it had to be refunded and then charged back on her credit card while I have to wait 5 days for my money is a bit unfair as well. Just some more clarity on ordering would be nice, other than that everything went well, thanks.

This company offers mediocre equipment at best. I ordered a FID bench and some flooring. The flooring is okay, but is very slippery with 'gym' shoes (that do not see the outdoors) its a bit disappointing that they're not more 'rubbery' feel rather than the slippery cheap foam feel. Also within 2 days of use, the leather of the bench scuffed/wore immediately when we used it to hold on to for doing certain movements. I doubt this bench will last more than 2 years. The bench also has to be lifted up significantly from the front to move it around and its close to tearing through the flooring every time we move the bench around. We're being very careful because its a pain to even get this equipment. I also agree that the Toronto store should be offering curbside pickup since we're in stage 3 and almost everything else is actually open already. I tried to order through barrie some equipment and I cant because you can apparently only pickup things they have in stock. What could they possibly have in stock at this point? I also don't understand the 3 week delivery times as other stores located close by them are shipping to me in 4 days!!! im tired of paying ridiculous shipping if i am close enough to pick it up. Whats the deal with no curbside at this point. Commission from Fedex for shipping rates?? Edit: I was called by a staff member for them to try and fix the problem and after explaining the issue and trying to tell them i dont want to go through the hassle of returning my products (after how long it took to get them) He was pretty much yelling at me. I may not even order weight plates at this point. Their products are not worth the wait and the staff is rude. I will go somewhere where they appreciate my business.

Delivery was quicker than expected. The power rack that I bought was 399 and great quality. Was fairly worried as I've never seen equipment at these prices but all good quality. Worst part is prbly the virgin rubber plates and although it says no smell there definitely is one. Suggestion is to air them outside for a few days, cover in litter to absorb the smell, or have window/good ventilation to air out over time. Have all equipment in my basement bedroom and still a slight smell that tickles the joe a bit but nothing serious and not something I notice while chilling in my room..good purchase

In september I called FA to inquire about whether their rigs were compatible with rogue rigs, after being told that they were I ordered about 5k worth of stuff. When it arrived I immediately noticed that they had sent the wrong items. I emailed them, waited a few weeks to hear back. When I finally heard back they told me they wouldn't ship the correct items until the incorrect ones were returned. I expressed that they had made the mistake, took their time resolving the issue and that I shouldn't have to wait any longer. THey didn't care and refused to send out the correct items. When I tried to connect what I had purchased with my rogue stuff I realized that the rig and accessories didn't connect and weren't compatible. I had to ship it all back to them - organize and pay for the shipping myself. Now i've spent 1000$+ on shipping for stuff I wouldn't have purchased if they hadn't told me that it would work with my rogue stuff. AND it was returned over a week ago and I still don't have a refund! I have ordered from them plenty over the years and I can't believe they would treat a good client like this! (I am a gym owner so i buy a lot and would have continued to purchase from them over the years).

I had to update my review due to the response time from customer service. They dealt with the address issue within a couple days & my power rack & equipment arrived just a few days after that. This place has simply miserable customer service. Bought a "premium" pullup / chinup bar which was pretty sketchy quality wise. Three screws came defective. I had to convince them that it was actually possible to get defective screws, they didn't believe me still. Took photos sent them along and they said it was a great quality product, which it is certainly not. Didn't even want to hang from it and risk personal injury. After dozens of emails all they did was preach policy to me. They were not going to pay for return shipping, alhough they were willing to refund me $4 to go out of my way to search for replacement screws locally, total joke. I said no, send me replacements and so they promised. They never came. Emails later they said they were not responsible for Canada Post issues. I said ok, give me the tracking number...oh wait, they were so concerned about me as a customer,they sent the items snail mail. ha. emails later they promised a priority delivery...you guessed it...which never came and was confirmed by talking to one of the douchebag owners. I can see why the lower level customer service is so so bad, this guy was a real gem on the phone and started to argue with me, great professionalism jacka**. telling me i had no patience. This even though I was have been waiting for 6+ weeks to use this piece of crap quality bar, apparently not patiently waiting for my promised replacement parts. I hope they read this, I really do. Fitness Avenue has no idea of what satifactory customer service is let alone "superior" or whatever it is they preach on their mission statement. I am happy this site exists and i will be posting my experience on as many review sites as possible to help others avoid this shoddy business. Buyer beware and find somewhere else to take care of your fitness needs. These people don't care about you. Dear owner, if you are reading this, you can save those screws and put them in the bin along with your lack of service. FAIL

Not only was I overcharged for freight for delivery, I was offered zero compensation or apology, I was told to “write a letter” can you believe that? - awful customer service. On top of that, a few of the items I received are absolute terrible quality and have no business being in a commercial environment (as they were listed). Being the owner of a couple of gyms, I can tell you I will never order from Fitness Avenue again.

Not impressed with Fitness Avenue's customer service. My boyfriend and I ordered gym flooring rubber mats. 3 were missing and 2 were damaged when we received the order. We tried emailing Fitness Avenue, with no response for many days. After they responded, we sent them pictures of the damaged mats with no response. In total, we sent 4 emails asking for replacement mats, we received no genuine response or apology. Just an invoice for a refund 2 months later. After spending $100 for local shipping on top of our order AND the fact that they live 15 minutes away from our house is just ridiculous. We will not be buying anything from Fitness Avenue in the future.

I am very impressed. I have looked at many fitness equipment websites and I found this one to be the best. They have the best prices on the best equipment. I am not from London so before I went I decided what I was going to order online. I was going to get a cheap bench for $109, and thought I could upgrade in the future. I am very impressed with the quality the bench actually is! I definitely do not need to upgrade in the future, as this bench seems to be the same quality you would find at a gym like Goodlife or Planet Fitness. I ended up buying olympic rubber plated plates for less money then what I could for used (and obviously new from competitors) 1" cast iron. I believe the price I paid was 89c /lb. Great deal, great service and overall I am incredibly excited for what I purchased.

Salesperson was ringing through a sale when we came in, but then remained bored looking behind the counter. We walked around for five minutes or more and then right out the door. I ordered a power rack with the lat pull down attachment, bench, several cable attachments, landmine rack attachment, plates and an Olympic bar. In my haste I ordered 1” plates for my 2” bar. They called to let us know and offered a cancellation on the plates to which we accepted and appreciated. I thought we would be stuck with the wrong sized plates so I’m very happy they reached out. Awful service. I submitted an order and did not receive any updates regarding shipment after a full 5 business days, despite their website claiming orders are processed in 1-5 business days and that there weren't any issues/delays. So, I contacted them via email, but didn't receive a response until another 2 business days passed (despite their claim they respond within hours). It took 7 business days to receive a tracking number, but the package wasn't actually shipped out until 13 full business days had passed. During the period between receiving only a tracking number I sent an email asking when it would be handed off to the courier, which was 3 business days ago, but I have not received a response to that. However, the package did arrive, and one of the dumbbell collars is defective, and is not something that happened in transit; it was defective when Fitness Avenue packaged it. Three of the other items—barbell clamps—are also low quality garbage. Don't order from here.

5 Stars hands down! I will say this though. There are a few items I would not buy from Fitness Avenue ; in particular if you do weightlifting the barbells are not made for dropping. They do have some stronger barbells that are just fine for Power-lifting however. All and all though I am extremely happy. Over the last few years I've bought about $10,000 worth of equipment from them Rigs, Weights, DBs, KBs, Plyo Boxes, Benches, bars, cable machines, etc. And almost everything has lasted very long! Any time I had an equipment issue they've replaced it, and the prices are way better than anywhere else I've seen in Canada or the States. Shipping has always been very good, and customer service has been solid. If I would have bought the same equipment at Rogue or one of the other big brands it would have cost me $30,000 or more! Do your homework, and if you can visit there warehouse to get an idea of the equipment quality and you'll be just fine! Will continue to buy from them in the future. Ps. their rig is surprisingly high quality and their KB and DBs are fantastic.

On January 5 I placed an order that I needed to modify - cancellation was presented as the only option. I received email confirmation of the cancellation the next day and was told that my refund would be issued in 1-5 business days. It is now January 20 and I just received my refund via the PayPal dispute I filed, because Fitness Avenue did not issue it and did not respond to any of my follow-up emails. Great way to ensure potential new clients take their business elsewhere.

I purchased Am-Staff equpiment second-hand and was looking for a few replacement parts for the equipment. I would have purchased the equipment new from Fitness Avenue, but unfortunately they were sold out of the pieces I was looking for (this is no fault of their own, I understand there is higher than normal levels of demand). I emailed Fitness Avenue twice regarding ordering replacement parts and never received a response email. I was dissappointed by their inability to respond to my emails as I was interested in ordering from them. As a business, if you direct people to reach out to you with questions via email, it is important that you actually respond to the emails customers send. Prices and selections on the website are great, just wish customer service was as important.

I am having the same experience as everyone else it seems... the communication is nonexistent. I ordered at the beginning of April and have been informed by Fed Ex that the package was never given to them, even though the label was generated. I have emailed with no response. I was understanding of the situation we are dealing with, but no communication when it’s a 275.00 purchase is rather shabby customer care. What’s more, they reply to the reviews below claiming that covid-19 is the cause, however the complaints about their service span back years with the same recurring issue— bad product, bad service, and no communication. Everyone can’t be mistaken or impatient, right? If I don’t get information soon, I shall be cancelling and ordering elsewhere. Update: I have sent through a request to cancel. There are other options out there for fitness equipment, without all the stress, and I believe that the positive reviews online are generated by the owners themselves. Facebook users and 411.ca are full of negative comments.

Should be 0 star. 1 star is to allow review. I purchased a Treadmill online. Transaction occurred and they had my dollars. Treadmill was available. It was to be delivered 30 days later. Fine. No problems. I am patient and know things are slower these days. Two problems: 1)There is nobody on a phone. They only answer you by email anywhere from 2 days to more later. I was also dealing w another fitness gear company and talked to them in two days. If this other fitness gear company can speak to you to pass on information, so can FA. 2) When it came time for delivery, that is when I got a lot of strange talk from these people at FA. Get this. They had my money for near a month. Then they started asking me for an e-transfer for the same amount for them to send the TM That is weird all by itself. After numerous e-mails back and forth , I am told my shipping address and billing address are not the same, so they can't shipped the TM to me. The confirmation document received shows both to be exactly the same. I even confirmed with the CC company. FA insisted that it was not the same and this was an indication that someone stole the card. It was cleared by the CC company, you have the money, send me my product. They insisted not the same address. FA said there was a period in one address and not in the other. Not in the document I had. There was no problem solving ability on the part of their staff to resolve this period except me sending them more $. Would anybody in their right mind send them an e-transfer, and there is no way to get hold of them? They made it clear to me that the problem was at my end and not their fault. Sheesh Really? Covid or no Covid, this company is suspicious and I got my money back after I called the CC company to tell them I had not received my product. I suspect there was another reason for not shipping the TM I ordered.

Recently bought a squat rack w/lat pulldown attachment. I am pleased with the quality of the rack and the delivery timeline (7 days from date of order; counting sat/sun). My only concern is around clarity of shipment charges & method chosen. I believe a simple tweaking of wording on your website can resolve this. I paid for & chose Canada Post as shipment method and received a notification from FedEx about my package which was a bit confusing (this was not mentioned to me). The charges explained on your website are different for FedEx and Canada Post (being higher). Upon a few emails with Antonio, I learned that Canada Post does not handle large/heavy packages which is why Fitness Avenue chose FedEx which surprisingly enough does not handle large/heavy packages either but has contractors who deliver to customers. My squat rack & lat pulldown attachment was delivered by 3 separate delivery companies with no incident. I would recommend Fitness Avenue to mention on their website that all rates shown for different delivery companies are estimates and method chosen by customer may be changed given size of the product purchased. Overall satisfied with my squat rack & LP attachment.

Great quality items at affordable prices. This is my second barbell from Fitness Avenue, I’m happy with both of them. If you’ve got a home gym and you’re looking to outfit it without breaking the bank, they’re the place to go. They’re understandably a bit swamped with orders due to the pandemic, so order fulfillment will take a bit longer than expected. You’ll be able to get through to their customer service reps that will essentially tell you the same thing. The main reason for the 4 stars rating instead of 5 is that there needs to be more communication from their end after you pay for your order. Many companies are doing this through automated emails, more detailed/advanced tracking information even before the item has been shipped.

I inquired on line about a specific piece of equipment and got a quick reply that it was in stock and there was an assembled unit on the floor to check out . Drove there on the weekend and the 2 sales staff were friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy "salesmen". Prices are competitive and I ended up buying more equipment than I'd actually came for. Olympic weight selection was a little low due to before and after Christmas shopping but I chose some that were on display. The one sales staff pointed out that 1 of the weights had mild damage from shipping and would have new ones later on in the week. The damage was so minor I took them anyway. 1 of the items I was interested in was not in stock but could be there by the following weekend (or sooner), so we bought it too and will be going back to pick it up if not more additions to our home gym.. The guys helped load all the boxes into my truck. Excellent place to check out if you are looking for any fitness equipment. Helpful staff, great selection and convenient location.

No warranty. The water rower I bought from them has no manufacturer info, so once it broke down, I have no way of communicating for a warranty service. The blade in side water tank broke apart. I tried to call in store for more info and got told to send email to them. Which I did and no response for 4 months. I ended up disassemble the rower and weld the blade back to the control arm myself.

This store has lots of racks and good custom service. Went here to buy a home gym for myself. Their prices were pretty good compared to anywhere else. They have a wide selection of racks and weights. They don't have very good bars. The employee ended up helping me find the equipment I needed. I returned most of the weights I bought and ended up getting coated iron. The return policy was easy to do and I had no problems. They are probably the best priced racks. I would suggest going elsewhere for bars though.

Squat rack, crumb rubber bumper plates, bars, pull-up bars, gym rings, skipping ropes, kettlebells, floor mats, stall mats, benches, etc. All purchases in-store (pre-COVID) and online (during COVID). Quality of equipment is quite good, durable and they all work as intended. During COVID the processing time is understandably longer, but relative to other retailers, especially other local fitness stores, I trust Fitness Avenue and their products. I will continue to build out my gym here. Recommended.

I am not one to usually submit reviews but I have seen so many negative reviews recently that I felt I needed to shed light to my great experience. I placed an order for some weight plates and was expecting to wait 10-15 days for everything to process before shipping. A week after that I placed another order because I wanted to add a few more plates. Unexpectedly they called me 8 days after my first order to arrange delivery in 2 days. The driver showed up on time, was friendly, and with all of my orders! Very happy with the service, communication, and the product I received.

Well priced and actually in stock. Weight plates came in really quickly and are obviously effective. Only thing to note is the 45's are smaller in diameter than normal 45's. Didn't bother me much as I have a larger pair to use as a base for deadlifting but it's something to note if you're purchasing all your weights from here. Other than that, had zero issues and would definitely order more.

Got the SD 1050. Rack is overall very good and worth the discount price. Theres only 2 issues with the rack. If you are buying it make sure you get the J hooks as the hooks that come with the rack are not the best and chip paint easily. The other downturn is the dip attachment has to be used on the inside post as the outer posts are not the most stable. Besides those two points the rack is overall very solid and worth the discount price. Also there is a brace that is in the middle and it feels in the way. I did not install it and the rack is still solid. If you make a custom bracket and mount it in the rear it will make the rack much more rigid.

When the equipment actually gets delivered it is decent quality. The reason I am giving 1 star is for the service, or lack-there-of. Firstly, you can’t call and speak to a customer service representative if you have any difficulties. Secondly, they won’t allow you to make an order if your billing address and shipping address are different. Thirdly, when they actually respond to emails they are not helpful at all. I am very disappointed with this as I had a large order and they would not even call with me to discuss options. If this issue was resolved I would have given them a better review but as it stands I am disappointed to say the least.

I would've given this a perfect review, but there were times where it was hard to get in contact with a rep after my order was placed. These times have been so difficult already and with the stores being closed I can imagine why that was the case. Besides that this place has it all. I visited the Toronto location for their Grand Re-Opening sale. Was looking to buy a power rack, the one I wanted was on the show room floor, so I knew what to expect when I got it home. The sales staff were friendly and did not bombard me to try and up-sell, allowed me freedom to take my time and look around. The prices were unreal for most items. An employee from the loading dock helped pack the unit into my car, he was very friendly and polite, did not rough up the unit or my car, wish I could have tipped him but had no physical cash on me. I will be going back for sure to buy more gear from them.

With all the gyms closed I decided to shop for some weights. The overall experience went very well. Given the pandemic, I assumed they would be very busy and was anticipating a delay with my order (which is totally understandable). However, my weights were delivered quicker than I expected. I was told the order would take about 15-20 business days to process, but it was delivered within that period. The service was great and everything I ordered came in excellent condition. Definitely will be going back if I am in need of more items.

Sad to say, that I had to cancel my order today. I was content to accept a lengthy delay in shipment due to Covid circumstances (ordered Dec 4 2020!), but the customer service is horrendous. First no reply to emails, then under threat of cancellation a reply. Then false and misleading information regarding shipment date, then silence. It took me one day to source most of this equipment elsewhere with friendly people answering their phones and emails.. Don't waste your time, money or patience with Fitness Avenue.

Received the Deluxe Door way Chin-up Bar. It was missing the brackets that would secure it to the door frame. These things could happen I suppose but what happened next proved to me that this is not a real customer centric business: 1. I tried to access the website from the signature email - I discovered that the the website link is WRONG 2. After I figured out the correct link, I tried to find return procedure - but I could not find it easily. 3. I tried to call Customer Service to request the missing parts. No one answered and the automated system hung up after few minutes. Moral of the story - order it from Amazon next time. At least I know if things go wrong, I will get the Amazonian machine to make it right for me.

We needed a few final items for our gym and decided to try Fitness Avenue on Wellington Road in London as we had heard your prices were much more reasonable than others. It's so true about the prices. Some items even as little as 1/3 of other stores. Unfortunately, that's where the joy ends. Due to a brain tumour I have a problem remembering the specific word I'm trying to use when I need it. The guy working there treated me like an idiot. He laughed at us and shook his head constantly as if we had no clue. I should mention, I've been going to gyms for more than 25 years now. We made the mistake of mentioning we were using TRX and he laughed and laughed and told us only stupid people use them and they don't carry junk like that because smart people just make their own. My wife also mentioned Bowflex and he mocked her and said Bowflex is garbage. He showed her the "right" machine and when she said she didn't like it and why she liked the Bowflex he shrugged her off with "waste your money then". He even belittled me when I asked for the firm foam roller for muscle therapy. At first i said stretching and got a lengthy rebuke about how its not for stretching. He told me there is no difference in firmness and it doesn't make any difference and that I couldn't handle the one with nodules on it. Great prices / absolutely awful customer service

Hands down the worst experience in my life so far, we placed an order on March 17 and i never received it and had to cancel after 6 weeks of waiting. they wont respond to you or give you any valid information about your order, had to send like 6 emails and they gave me the generic responds with no delivery dates after escalating they sent me an email saying that my order was placed on a rush shipment and after a week they sent me another email saying something is wrong with my order, that moment i knew i was dealing with the most unprofessional people ever, and i was a bit shocked that i got my money back, they keep using COVID 19 as an excuse but its not a valid one since they changed their shipment TAT 3 times on the website since my order and i passed all of them. i only wonder if any of the 5 star reviews are even real at this point.

I ordered an AMStaff bench online, It looked like commercial grade but don’t be fooled.....The bench was really low quality from china. While putting it together the parts did not even fit. The bearings for the back rest had to be hammered on and once that was done of course they were all loose. The brackets also don’t line up with the manufactured holes which makes it impossible to put the bench together. Fitness Avenue has no care or service for the products they sell. They attempted to Warranty the bench but after waiting 2 months and multiple follow ups on my part they denied the warranty and Fitness Avenue suggested I use a professional to help me install.

We ordered from Fitness Avenue three months ago. Overall, quality of the equipment is pretty good and they have competitive prices. I think the main issue is the lack of instruction for assembly and warranty on their product. We wanted to set up a home gym with a functional trainer. Given that our basement is on the shorter side, we needed something under 80 inches. The SFT100 trainer offered by Fitness Avenue was the only one we found online that fit our size requirements. We also purchased a bench and interlocking gym mats. The order took 2-3 weeks to ship which isn’t bad. I didn’t receive any notice about shipping but was able to check online regarding the status. FedEx ended up delivering our rather large package with one person, and I ended up having to physically help him transport it off the truck. The “manual” for our trainer was literally one piece of paper, with no description of steps or parts. We had to just figure things out and piece things together. Parts aren’t labelled and the parts listed on the paper didn’t match with what came in the package. In the end it took three of us 4-5 hours to put everything together. It may not have assembled completely correctly, but it’s intact and functioning. We use the machine 2-3 times a week. It’s a double stack trainer, but one of the stack cables has a big twist in it. It’s still useable but it’s annoying and we’re careful that it doesn’t rub. We’ve had no issues with the bench. The mats are sturdy. They slide a bit but we have thin carpet underneath so that’s probably expected. They stay locked. I will note that I didn’t order enough mats with the initial purchase, and was able to get through to them on the phone (although did have to call a few times), and they also did respond promptly to my email inquiries. I know some reviews have had issues with customer service but that wasn’t the case. So in summary, competitive prices, decent equipment, but may be difficult to assemble and I’m not sure how much warranty or coverage you would get.

Fitness Avenue is the best place to get workout equipment in Toronto! I am a repeat customer for two reasons: 1. Wide selection of equipment and gear 2. Amazing prices (they always have specials). Suffering from a sports injury that restricted me from going to the gym I wanted to stay in shape at home but didn't have the budget to build a home gym. I wanted to get the basics: a bench, dumbbells and pull up bar. Fitness Avenue not only had what I needed and at great prices but the wide selection of other equipment had me going back even after I recovered. Let's just say I don't pay ridiculous amounts for a gym membership anymore, I just drop by Fitness Avenue. The staff and owners sell you what you need and are very professional.

CAUTION TO BUYERS of Amstaff DF2109. This is a great little unit with the exception of all the engineering faults. They can be fixed but it will cost you about $40 at a hardware store and several hours work. First caution is the assembly instructions are riddled with mistakes and the bolts are all very similar, and not labelled. First fix - all the bolts provided are threaded and will shred the plastic pullies if used. You'll need to buy 1-M10x90mm bolt and 11-M10x60mm bolts and then cut them to length with a hacksaw. These length bolts have enough solid shaft to cover the pulleys. Second fix - supplied are 2 rubber "pucks" to absorb the impact when you drop the stack. Problem is the cable is still too short so the weight stack hangs above the pucks by 1/2" jamming the cable ends into the first pulleys. Take 2 hockey pucks, drill a 1" diameter hole through the center, and slide these onto the horizontal poles first, before the metal tubes. Third fix - the bottom position hole is unusable, you will have to drill your own hole in the proper location. PS DO NOT RELY ON ANY ASSISTANCE FROM FITNESS AVENUE. I EMAILED THEM 4 WEEKS AGO, AND THEN SPOKE TO THEM SEVERAL DAYS LATER. THEY PROMISED I'D GET A REPLY THE NEXT DAY....NOTHING!

This review is specifically for the experience with CURB SIDE PICKUP. When trying to place my order via the Fitness Avenue website, there was no option for curbside pickup. I emailed three times before the website had the option for curbside pickup. I placed my order, 3 sets of dumbbells, and went back to the website less than 24 hours later and the option for curbside was once again not there... Which isn't convenient as FA advertises curbside pick up on their website. Order placed, yet when I got the call for pickup, I raised my concern (about the option missing) with the representative, he said "You can just add it when you pickup." Not very customer-centric. The whole experience was inconvenient and not at all with the customer in mind. It would have been 1 star, but the service at the warehouse was great and the dumbbells are as expected.

I've updated my rating to 5-stars. Fitness Avenue's customer service reached out to apologize and explain the amount of orders and lag times they are dealing with. They also helped me select an item to order and confirmed processing and delivery times are now being reduced extensively. Therefore, based on this, I've updated my review for them. I have chosen to give it another shot, now that things are beginning to stabilize. Feel free to email them first before you place your order in case you have concerns, but I'm glad I was finally able to order what I needed and speak to someone in regards to the issues in a professional and understanding manner.

Due to lockdowns I decided to make a home gym and purchased my equipment here after a friend recommended me them. I got a bench, squat rack with cable attachments and some mats. Upon arrival, the delivery driver was carelessly moving other boxes of orders out of the way to get to mine. The mats were covered in dirt, shoe prints and had a strong odor to it. I sanitized them but that didn’t take out the weird smell. I began to build the bench which I had no problems with as the instructions were clear. However, after unboxing the squat rack I found out they didn't provide the instructions manual for the rack with only the cable attachments left with instructions. I resorted to using the photo of the rack on their page as reference to build mine. While looking at the instructions manual for the cable attachments I also realized we were short of some screws for both the rack and cable attachments, missing nearly 20-25 missing screws in total which I went to get from Home Depot to complete the build since I got no response from their customer service. This isn’t the place to purchase your gym equipment, I read other reviews on some of the products on their site and I'm not the only review that has these problems.

Fitness Avenue is legitimate! I placed my order on July 17th and received it on August 11th; 17 business days later. I believe that most of the negative reviews have to do with their customer service, which is slow, but at the same time is due to the increased demand of fitness equipment paired with staffing issues. Just be patient and be sure to send your emails to the right email address. In terms of the actual products, they are of good quality. The bar is sturdy and well built, the bench is also sturdy and has adequate padding, however, the safety bars for the rack had a slight defect which did not allow them to fully slide in and out of the rack. A small modification fixed this issue entirely. Overall, I am very happy with the quality of the equipment as of right now!

I have ordered a bunch of equipment from here and have not been disappointed by any of it. I have ordered a half rack, olympic barbell. flat bench, 2" olympic plates, and a plate tree. Not only do they have lots of selection, their prices are some of the best, or at least very comparable to the best. Shipping took a while but I ordered my stuff during the lockdown so that's only to be expected. Everything always shows up wrapped up nicely in packaging. I’ll start by saying the quality of the equipment is excellent, very happy with that. My order was missing two pieces but after communicating with one of the stores right away they located the parts I needed to complete my cable machine and they're having them shipped out asap. Very happy with the quality and price of the product but even more so with the customer service I received especially during these busy times for fitness companies ! Update: The two missing pieces I received do not fit the part at all so I'm back to square one with my cable machine. Does not work smoothly at all but it is what it is.

Equipment of excellent quality, at a very low price. I have ordered benches, dumbbells, power rack, weight plates, bars, etc. Totally satisfied. However, the delivery was a nightmare. I received a call from UPS, asking me to be present at home to receive the delivery. I asked the guy if my order would be really delivered at home, considering the weight, and he said yes, no problem. The delivery man has a trolley. However, the delivery man actually didn’t have one, so he just left the pallets, wrap in plastic, directly on the sidewalk and left. I called UPS and the guy said that I was misinformed, UPS delivery men don’t deliver heavy parcels at home, they just leave it where it’s the closest the truck can go to the house. Then I tried to contact the customer service of Fitness Avenue, but they roughly told me that delivery is none of their business. Finally I stepped down and hurriedly transported everything in the house when the rain started. One of my neighbors, an old lady, accepted to seat outside to make sure that no one was stealing my things, since it was on the sidewalk. Bad experience.

Bought squat stands and some weights here during the Pandemic, both came within 3 weeks. They did answer my emails regarding products. I had an issue with them with shipping and they resolved it within hours. My only issue is with the squat stands. They had some manufacturing issues, one had a handful of metal shavings, the other one didn't fit and had to use pliers to open it up.

Took my money and failed to deliver a product or a refund. Textbook example of bad communication, customer service and shady business practices. Will simply ignore you if you play nice, will only respond when pressure is applied. Bottom line, spend a few extra bucks elsewhere; the equipment will be a bit better and you’ll save yourself months of headaches trying to get your product/money back. Long version: On June 18, I placed an order for a bench and leg extension attachment. On July 7, I received the bench but no attachment. I immediately reached out to Fitness Avenue. They ask for photos of the delivery which I send promptly on July 9. A week goes by and nothing happens. I follow up with more emails and hear nothing. Feeling like I’m getting ignored or scammed, on July 15 I tell them I’ve filed a dispute through my VISA and they have a until the dispute investigation begins to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. Presto! That got their attention! They get back to me right away with a FedEx case number for the lost package (even though Canada Post Expedited Parcel was the promised delivery service). More weeks go by and I decide to call FedEx on August 5th. Great news! Seems the investigation is complete. I reach out to FA again for updates on their end but don’t hear back. Then on August 11th FA reaches out to ME! Why? Most likely because the VISA dispute I filed weeks earlier landed at their door. In their eMail, they lie about still waiting on FedEx and offered to send a new attachment if I would just remove the dispute. I called BS on them because their website showed the attachment was out of stock. I told them if they wanted the dispute to be retracted they’d have to clear up the lies and layout a proposal that made sense to me. Again they go silent. On August 26th, I hit FA with a Consumer Protection Act complaint notice for their conduct which I believe violates sections of the Act. Presto! They immediately responded saying they’ve caved on the VISA dispute and I’ll be getting my money back through the chargeback.... BUT! I’ve been banned from their online (and presumably physical) stores and they claim they’re going to FILE A POLICE REPORT AGAINST ME!! ???????????? Bro! Are you kidding me?! Learn how the police works! Take a damn civics class! Jesus! Anyways, I’ve yet to see any credit on my VISA. My CPA complaint will be a lot uglier if it isn’t there in a few more weeks. So yeah in conclusion, it seems like these guys ran an okay outfit pre-COVID selling okay quality gym gear at cheap prices. But the increase in volumes has totally overwhelmed them to the degree that they’ve had to discontinue any resemblance of a customer service function and adopt some questionable business practices too. Sad. If you are in the unfortunate position of trying to get them to sort something out for you and not getting any response, apply some pressure. At least in my experience it’s the only thing FA responds to.

Delivery was fast, prices are reasonable and Rich was great to work with when hiccups popped up! I ordered a barbell and over 300#s of weights. I got a call a few days after my order to schedule a delivery. Website said 14 business day delay for shipments but I got it within a week of placing the order. My barbell was the wrong one but Rich was very responsive on email and fixed my issue very quickly. Will be shopping here in the future for sure.

I found fitness avenue as probably many have when trying to get equipment for the COVID19 lockdown. Amazing prices and equipment quality compared to everyone else! My family and I were really excited, and while the 1-3 months of waiting as indicated by them was unfortunate, we understood because of COVID19 that supplies were low, shipping was slow, and order volume has shot through the roof. We ordered near the end of April and had no issue with it taking several weeks to hear responses from customer service, we were extremely patient. I got an email almost a month after our order saying there was a mismatch between the billing and delivery address. I had made a typo in the delivery address, replacing a 2 with a 4. Whoops, thought I could email them and simply correct the error to provide the correct house number and so it will match the credit card. Well not at all, what a slog that was. I couldn't do so unless I had matching government issued ID with a photo, exact name matching on the card, and the matching address. Issue was the purchase made on my mother's card and she had married last year. All her IDs now had her new last name but the credit card remained in her old name. I had an expired license to give but I also provided several utility bills with her old name and the full address. That would be enough for many, but apparently not for the customer service at Fitness Avenue. We wanted to use her card because of the security it provides with purchases and due to the large order, the points collected. I had this back and forth going on for a month to see what IDs they would take, apparently none it seemed. We finally decided to cancel our order today which was extremely disappointing as that equipment was high quality at an amazing price and we were patient for more than 2 months. I was never escalated to someone that could help me despite me asking and was very much dismissed by the customer service agent I was in contact with. We were very sympathetic to the load Fitness Avenue was under due to COVID19 but were not provided with an ounce of help due to a single, stupid, typo. I would discourage anyone from ordering here on the basis of customer service alone, and not because of the speed of it, but the quality of it.

I originally had a scathing review on this company as i was not happy with how my order was handled. I was surprise at being contacted by them unfortunately i do not remember the individuals name. They went in to detail explaining some of their issues and how the issue could have happened and i offered my opinion on how it could have been handled better. I was very surprised i was contacted personal and appreciated that effort I chose not to proceed with my order but was happy to be contacted. While i cannot speak to the quality of the products they offer, the value seems great and that is what drew me to make an order in the first place. I am updating my review to change it to 3. I feel that this is fair in regards to what happen and i cannot give anymore as i cannot speak to the quality.

Had received most of it but was missing a weight from my order. I had contacted them but had no answer for some time. I had determined later that given the current situation and how fast products were depleting, I would rather reorder the weight to have a complete set, even if the other order does not get corrected. Later Austin, had emailed me saying that they would cancel my second order and have the other forwarded to their head office to have "fixed up." Since then, I have followed up multiple times and have received only ineffectual responses. The latest was from Alexandra who had asked if my missing plate was addressed (end of April). I had told her it was not and neither did I receive my refund for the "cancelled" order. She had said she would refund by end day May6th. I had called my credit card company and as of yesterday, have not. Unfortunately, I am out of patience and will be filing a dispute the coming week. I still have hope that they will do the right thing before I do and I can update my review, but until then, here we are. Update: received a partial refund of my request from my credit card company. Had zero communications fro fitness Ave. Since my review. 2) 45 lb Virgin Rubber Olympic weights are NOT 17.5 inches in diameter. The majority of plates (including the smaller plates) are not accurate in weight either. Rubber keeps shedding as well.

They have a lot of equipment available. Staff is not friendly and this place is more like a "self service ". The guy who was on charge didn't even bother to come to us to say hi or offer us any help. I had to come to where he was seated in order to get answers to my questions. I asked about some equipments and instead of showing me, he kept pointing at the equipments. He was like "if you want to buy, buy it. If you don't, get out of here and don't bug me"

To anyone who has been waiting weeks/a month for updates/feedback on your order status...check the payment method you used for a refund. I placed an order late March and have been waiting like many of you for a "specific" response to my inquiry regarding the order status and have received nothing but the generic "be patient" email. I was doing some checking around today and decided to look at my credit statement and sure enough, on April 17th I was refunded the money I had spent on the bench I was waiting for. No email, no indication that anything had been cancelled so I would've been waiting for who knows how long not knowing that nothing is coming or was ever going to. Just have a look if you're wondering... Extremely frustrating and no bench now but at least my money isn't tied up in this mess anymore! Rating is based solely on lack of communication...

He was able to refund me for everything missing, plus shipping and taxes. We spoke about his customer service and did acknowledge that there are issues that he is trying to solve. I do want to thank Fitness Avenue for this, I moved it up to 4 stars only as it took a negative review for them to get back to me. I hope once the pandemic has died down and things are back in stock that I will continue to order from them. ***original review**** I don't typically write negative reviews. I ordered on March 23rd, expedited one-day shipping, took a week to ship it out, got my order on April 3rd, only to have 70lbs of plates missing from the order. Emailed, got a generic response, week later emailed again, another generic response,. Finally, I get a response saying they put a "rush" on my missing items, which seems to be a thing they do. May 5th, emailed saying I haven't received anything, asking for a refund on the plates, plus taxes and shipping. It is now June 1st, still nothing, no contact and no refund. I have unfortunately had to dispute with the credit card company. I didn't want to go that route, but it has been over two months, and still don't have my missing items, PLUS absolutely no communication in a month and NO communication at all regarding my specific order. Unfortunate as I was told good things, and DON'T pull the COVID card, absolutely no excuse to not get back to a customer missing items 8 weeks later.

Do NOT order from Fitness Avenue. I ordered $250 worth of equipment about a month ago and have yet to receive it or any update regarding when it will be delivered. I have emailed them multiple times over the span of 3 weeks with no response. I totally understand a delay (your website says 4-8 days) in light of what's going on, but you haven't even offered an update of when it will be delivered after multiple inquiries. I repeat, DO not order from here unless you want to pay for something you'll never get.

Don’t fall for the misleading 2-5 day processing times. I can’t comment on the quality of products and customer service has been reasonably responsive, but if you’re like me and thought ordering from a business within Ontario would mean faster shipping, think again. I’m at two weeks of waiting and although I have a tracking number finally I have no estimated delivery date and the tracking number is only for 1 out of 8 items. Also, local pickup is only available Mon-Friday from 10-5... I thought that paying over $200 for shipping was fair if I could get my products in a reasonable amount of time, but now I can’t help but feel a little ripped off. My advice for Fitness Avenue would be to state clearly on their site that customers should expect significant delays due to Covid 19 and extremely high order volume so expectations are set correctly.

Don't order!!!!!! These guys are terrible. I see that they took down comments on Instagram but you wont be able to stop Google Reviews!! The only comunication I've had with them after multiple emails over the span of 3 weeks was them sending me a delivery date with a Fedex tracking number. That was two weeks ago and Fedex still doesnt have the item to ship to me. I'm 100% positive that I've been ripped off.

I bought a climbing rope from them on boxing day. I bought it mainly because it was on sale. I ordered it on the 26 of December and it didn't ship for until the 9th of January. It arrived on the 15th it arrived in plastic wrap. not even a box which I thought it would. I opened it and the paint was both chipped and scratched, and it was also the wrong size. I contacted them immediately. They did get back to me the next day which was good, but there was no apology for the mix up and all the suggestions to get the right product was for me to drive to there store and return it. I didn't want to drive down to return it. But, that in my mind was the easiest solution. All the other solution didn't have me to happy. I drove it down and when I handed the customer service rep there was still no thanks or apologies for the mix up. I am giving this a 2 star because it did get resolved and I received my full amount back. I'll be looking around at other fitness retailers, I have lost my trust in fitness avenue.

Im changing my review - as I have had this equipment for about 7 months. The cable snapped using just 100 lbs. No response from warranty or customer service ever. Dont waste your time with them!!

It took about 25 minutes to drive to the store, and I stayed for about a minute and left. Stopped in on July 28th at 430 to purchase an Olympic lifting bar because i compete in Olympic lifting. The person behind the counter proceeded to start an argument with me because I called the it a mens Olympic bar. I almost left, but I really needed a bar. Terrible, dishonest customer service. I ordered and paid for $1500 worth of equipment. They then refunded my order after two months of waiting, since they had raised their prices by several hundred dollars on the equipment I had purchased. They then continued to lie and make up an excuse for the refund, when it was clearly done to force me to reorder everything at a considerably higher price. Would not recommend.

The last day of the covid shipping time 20 days after the order placed I finally get an email. Was told my credit info didnt match when it does. They try to get you to pay as an e-transfer before refunding the money even though the item has not shipped yet. They may have good prices but if you can never get your items it doesn't matter. They have the best prices you'll find. Unfortunately they don't seem to be handling the Covid-19 demands very well. It's a difficult time but I think the 2 star rating is still justified. - Very slow customer service (excused due to circumstances) - Ignored answering some questions regarding specs or weight capacity - They do not allow shipping to a difference address than billing - They cancel your order without confirmation or notice ... Seriously. I only found out because I checked my credit card statement 20 days after placing the order and saw my money was returned. At least they didn't keep it!

Product is good and once they call, they are very accommodating, it's just difficult to communicate with them and reach them at times. Emails take a some time for response and phone calls are done times to let you know when to pick up but you cannot phone customer service representatives.

I purchased a functional trainer from Fitness Avenue. When I opened the box. Everything appeared OK until I took out the chin up bar. It was galvanized but what upset me was. The galvanize was chipped off all over. After using this machine for a the very first time. Within 1 hour. The red pulley started making noises and the paints chipped off and now grinding onto the metal. Each weight stamped 10lbs each total of 160lbs per stack. I noticed the weights were very light. I also noticed the cables was starting to have dents already. The bar that holds all the weights with the PIN. The holes are SHARP. I had red flags and called Fitness Avenue regarding my issues because I felt unsafe using it. I asked for a refund because I was NOT happy with this machine and did not feel safe using it. The sales person said he will replace the chin up bar and pulley's). He also said that, he wont refund me and said don't use the machine if unsafe. I asked him about the weight stacks. He said the weight stacks are actually NOT 10lbs each plate. I instantly felt stupid for wasting my money. I also purchased Olympic bar from them and because of my experience. I WILL NOT buy anything from them again. Therefore, I went to Treadmill Factory in Markham / Richmond Hill. I picked up total 120lbs of Olympic plates and used them on the Olympic bar i purchased from Fitness Avenue. 3 weeks later, my Olympic bar is bending already. What really upset me was, I saw a functional trainer that looked almost or close enough to the functional trainer i purchased from Fitness Avenue. People, I strongly advise you to spend the extra cash and purchase a known brand.

I don't like posting bad reviews due to COVID, but it's been a nightmare trying to get ahold of anyone at this company. I'm sure they're great in store, but right now, I'd say stay away because of the difficulty contacting these guys. We bought a bench over a month ago and it came defective. It is unstable and I don't feel safe relying on it while using heavy weights. The best they could offer me is to bring it back to the warehouse myself and they will refund me, less the cost of shipping and a 30% restocking fee. I've sent numerous emails and tried to get them on the phone way too many times - the phone line just disconnects no matter which option you choose.

Great place to get well priced exercise equipment! Purchased a rack, bench and a set of plates during the pandemic and they all arrived within 15-20 days of my purchases. Most poor reviews are from the lack of communication but this is probably due to increased demand and reduced staffing so just be patient with them.

Thank you delivering my product Fitness Avenue. Ordered a Power Rack, which was delivered within 12 business days of ordering (Ordered May 19) I did receive same day email responses to my inquiries and I know people are complaining about no getting fast responses. I would say please send an email to orders@fitnessavenue.ca and not any of the other emails. Power Rack was easy to assemble and came with no missing parts. Received a phone call a day before the delivery and received a call 5 mins when driver was close to my house. Great company and will order again. Was told that smaller items actually get shipped way faster since they go by Canada Post and larger items take a bit longer since they have to be personally delivered. So just be patient and you will get the stuff you ordered everyone!

UPDATE: Another customer service rep got back to me and accepted my return and refunded me in full. It took a while but it was done. I bought a safety squat bar because the measurements listed on the website indicated it would fit my squat rack without issue. Once i received it i found the bar smaller than stated on the site which made it unusable. Customer service was unhelpful and told me i would be liable to pay shipping back to them as well as lose my original shipping cost. Do not buy from this company as they will not support you at all. They misled me which caused me to buy a useless product and refused to accept responsibility.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Fitness Avenue does NOT offer the best equipment at the best prices (I bought better equipment for less elsewhere) and, most importantly, they do not honour their contract when it comes to returns. Despite having a product never assembled or used and bought with cash, this ‘business’ is refusing to honour its return policy and will not accept the return. Instead, they are insisting on a restocking fee (simply because the box is open) and store credit only. Their contract is very clear. Products need to be in original condition with its package (package doesn’t have to be in its original condition, according to their contract) and repayment to be match original payment method … how this business goes from accepting cash to saying store-credit only is beyond me. It seems despite a decent overall review rating, there are tonnes of customers of Fitness Avenue who have complained about being taken advantage of. If you look at all the low rated reviews, you’ll notice a theme of very poor customer service. After having had such a similar negative experience to so many of the negative reviews, it genuinely makes me wonder if Fitness Avenue spends more time posting fake positive reviews than honouring it’s contracts. If you’re looking for customer service you can rely on, think twice about Fitness Avenue and give them a good google search - there are volumes of negative reviews across multiple sites. They are not rated by the Better Business Bureau and there are complaints on that site about this establishment as well.

I want to thank Fitness Avenue for coming through for me during the pandemic situation. It's impossible to find gym equipment right now and luckily I was able to purchase some before any backorders. Amazing prices, quality products and service was great when I inquired about my order status. I chose quicker shipping with courier which arrived on time once shipped but I was also aware of potential delays in processing during the pandemic as they highlighted on their website which is understandable. I was so happy with the products and service, I already placed a second order!

I was initially worried about purchasing a rack without "seeing" the quality but during and after assembly, I must say those concerns are unfounded. Order took about 3 weeks to arrive. Given the current situation, the large increase in volume in online sales and how backed up shipping is, this is perfectly acceptable to me. Would have given 5 stars if they were better with their communication, seems like they could have easily hired a full time temporary person just to deal with customer relations with all the money they are making. I would like this to be at the top. In the latest email after writing this review the company has also threatened a law suit! Be careful. I couldn't include the link because of googles policies unfortunately! I assume all the five star reviews are written by people they know or are purchased. This company is a joke. Do they send you the wrong equipment on purpose hoping you will not notice or not care? Either way its ridiculous. When you email to try and get it fixed you are left waiting days and days with no response and just forget about trying to get a phone call it wont happen. When they finally send you something to "fix" the problem I can guarantee it wont be helpful. In my case they sent me what looks to be two pieces of leftover metal they had in the back, welded it together, screwed holes in it that don't even line up! and claim it as a "fix". I would avoid using this company at all costs. You pay a fortune for the equipment and you get horrible service and flimsy equipment that does not match. Customer service, forget about it, they don't have any. I'm now going on a month and a half trying to find a solution, oh and its been over two weeks since they've responded to my emails. Thank god they admitted to sending me the incorrect stuff and my bank had no problem charging it back! Oh and last thing, they accidentally admitted to sending the incorrect equipment to other people several times, I assume they are trying to get rid of old stuff hoping people wont care about the expensive equipment they paid for... Save yourself time and money and go anywhere else. Fitness Avenues first response before deleting it and changing it because they realized they admitted to intentionally sending me a product that does not match the description of the product on their website (Also included is an attached picture of this!): "Hello Cameron I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the purchase you made. Your review is not accurate and contains false accusations. The power rack you purchased, is the 2019 model and it is a few inches lower than the 2018 model. To make the new Power Rack compatible with the 2018 Lat attachment model, the manufacturer created an adapter. If you are not happy with the adapter, please send the product back for a full refund." Edit after response from the company: You can see it below. Edit after my second response: I am happy to say if you need a response after two weeks of waiting the best way to do so is write a true review outing the company on their ways! Unfortunately they will just accuse you of more things and ask you to take the review down. I have responded to the email again with my concerns so I'll update this IF i get a response. I would also like to add from their responses it is very clear they are knowingly selling equipment like this and hoping no one will fight them on it. NO where on the site does it say you are getting equipment that does not match and will need a "fix". I put quotations because again, its two piece of flimsy metal welded together with uneven screw holes AND they don't include screws with it. I guess they expect you to go out and buy your own? I paid a lot for delivery because I have no way of picking it up from the store and the companies continued response is to bring it back yourself. Please don't make the mistake I made. They will harass you, say its your fault, and when you finally complain they will offer no different solution, say the same thing and ask you to take your review down. They have also stated in the most recent email. "Any request of the “correct” lat attachment brings us to a dead end as there is no different lat attachment available for your Power Rack, this is how they will be sold until the manufacturer decides to make any design changes to the lat attachment in the future." - So if you're considering ordering, expect the same problem I'm having. While the prices are competitive, this truly can be summed up by "you get what you pay for". Cheap quality gear that won't last. Even for the most casual lifter (which I am), the components start to wear early. There is precisely one staff member who is happy and helpful while the rest just look irritated that you dared to enter the store. Worse than this is the warehouse experience. Over the 3 times I have been there, not once was my order correctly provided by the warehouse. It's as though they don't even bother to read the invoices.

Ordered from Fitness avenue at the end of April. The delays were longer than advertised. I inquired through the website and received a fairly quick response telling me shipping would be an additional 3-4 days. After more than a week I sent back, was thinking about cancelling the order. I got no response from them. I kept trying, no one will answer the phone. I have called numerous times. Then, after a couple days I get a notice that the product shipped. When it arrived it was badly damaged, however the box was fine. It was obvious that they shipped it out in that condition. Since that time I have made many attempts to contact them about the problem. I have even re-opened original tickets again and there is no response from them. none. Every day when I can sit down at my desk to do other things I call. Every time it hangs up on me. I run a business and I understand the effects of the pandemic on operations, however I also understand the importance of maintaining service to customers. This is totally unacceptable. I would not recommend ordering from them as it is obvious that once the sale is made, they have no desire to support the customer after the fact. You risk wasting your money as they can apparently ship you anything they want and then ignore you after the fact.

They walk you through everything and really take the time to figure out what it is you’re looking for and what’s appropriate for you! They still haven't responded or followed up to actually give me the refund and it's been weeks.. Edited to add - After posting this negative review, they refunded me a whopping $33.90 as per our agreement. Unfortunately, my poor experience with this company does not end here as they are now violating my email with incessant follow ups to remove or revise this review. This was my first time purchasing workout equipment and Fitness Avenue made it a great experience. The staff provided excellent customer service, friendly and professional. I had an issue with the bench (we didn't put it together properly) and the shipping/receiving staff resolved it right on the spot. Walked in for nearly 5-10 minutes and was not even approached. Asked about the size of a power rack box and was given the impression I was completely inconveniencing the clerk as I wanted to make sure it fit in my car for an hour ride back home. Another associate chimed in to help me as he got the sense his co-worker was being rude, at this point it was too late from my perspective. Another competitor down the street gladly showed me the boxes and even gave me a discount for pretty much exactly the same rack. Take your money elsewhere, you'll be glad you did.

The items arrived quickly. Only issue was that one particular part was the wrong part. Originally I was told it was the manufactures fault and that they would send the right part asap. That then turned into a lot of back and forth and many delays. Eventually they stopped responding. I managed to get someone on the phone in sales and he was super helpful. He handled the issue quickly and the part has now arrived. Took a year to get to that point and one helpful person resolved it in a week.

Fedex lost my order from 8 weeks ago and this company is struggling to build capacity for timely/responsive customer service. It has been a terrible combination. However, I did finally get a call from a gentleman today (they can't be reached by phone) and things seem to be pointing in the right direction. Covid has disproportionately impacted these smaller operations so if any issues arise, you'll need some patience. Otherwise, most customers seem happy with their products. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! If you spend $1400.00 on equipment and it's missing pieces such as the pulleys needed to move the cable.. and you ask them to send you the needed pulleys and they question you as if you have done something wrong.. as if I'd forgotten to pack the parts. They claim it needs several pulleys and two cables when the instructions which I took a picture of states it only needs two pulleys and one cable.. never heard back from them or received any replacement parts for the machine.. so now I have no choice but to find or modify the equipment so I can use it.. please think before dealing with them.. I now understand the importance of buying this kind of equipment from a reputable company with proper customer service.. Buyers beware!!!!!!!

This company is extremely unscrupulous and dishonest. They won't stand behind their products. They shipped me a damaged product and then blamed it on me which has cost me $600+. Even though I emailed them the day after I received the product, 3 months of wrangling later they refuse to do anything about it. I didn't even receive a response from them for 6 weeks. By far, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Go elsewhere! Edit: When I sent it back to them, they said it was damaged more. If it was, it's because they packaged it poorly in the first place (was damaged when I received it). I sent it back in the exact package I received it in. They blame the courier instead of actually taking responsibility for it. They refused to pay for the return shipping. They won't do the right thing if it costs them a cent.

I made an order of flooring mats, resistance bands, and several other accessories (approx $200 spent in total) for my home gym on april 5th (expecting a 2-3 week wait time per their covid announcement). It is now May 22nd (7 weeks) and I still have not received my order. I received a call on May 5th saying they no longer had any black mats and asked if i would be willing to accept "wood" mats instead. I said yes, as long as my order comes in due time considering its already been a month. I have tried emailing them and I am not getting responses. I have tried calling them without any responses either. At this point, I believe my money was taken and I have been scammed. Its been nearly 2 months.

Do not place an order with this company. I placed my order on May 1st, and chose the Canada Post 2-5 day shipping, which costed $30. Then, on May 5th, I received an email saying that my order shipped. However, two weeks after it shipped, my order still had not arrived, and when I went to check the tracking information on both the fitness avenue platform and by using the fedex tracking number, the information had not updated whatsoever, meaning that fedex hadn't even gotten the order yet. 2 WEEKS LATER. During this time, I called the number that was provided in their emails and tried to get in touch with a customer service person or anyone really. I called a total of 8 different times over the course of multiple days and at different times during the day, and was not able to get in contact with someone at all. I also emailed them on 3 separate occasions and still have yet to get a response or any acknowledgment that they've even gotten my email or acknowledged the issue. This is completely ridiculous. The customer service at this company is appalling, do not order from here you will regret it.

Bought amstaff fitness functional trainer. There were imbalances in the machine. Had to buy 2 new screws to fit cuz the holes they drilled were off. Some were brutally forced thru. Due to this, the poles the smith machine bar go up are uneven, so the smith machine bar lifts uneven, which is a good way to screw yourself up if you actually use it. Dont buy from these guys. The products and how they make them are cheap, and you risk running into issues..

During a pandemic you see a lot of shift from in-store to online. The fitness sector is no different regardless of the heavy shipping costs attached. So to those that feel like theyre getting gouged - take a look at the average shipping times for all couriers and tell me that the laws of economics don't play in shipping costs especially since we've seen so many people willing to pay high shipping costs for regularly priced items. Stop complaining that there isn't a curbside option. The likely reason is that i) inventory isn't in stock long enough to warrant the option since people are willing to eat shipping costs, ii) the additional labour cost to facilitate and operate curbside is an incremental cost which they would eat into their margin since they're not price gouging and iii) they probably have inventory split between warehouses. Companies are figuring out rapidly how to accommodate customers best in an operation (ecom) that they never thought would be 100% of their business. It takes time to learn how to create a great customer experience. As the former head of ecommerce digital operations (curbside) at canada's largest grocer, I understand that covid is sky rocketing demand and customer service emails/calls get back logged but I somehow managed to get a call for my order. I placed an order and i got a call within my shipping window from Eugene asking about when the best delivery time would be and was even able to add to my order without affecting my shipping times. He personally went into his warehouse to see if they had inventory in stock. The delivery guy was really helpful too. Helped me hand bomb all my inventory off my driveway and had great customer experience skills. Had a great experience. will definitely be ordering again.

I've been trying to get in touch with these guys for weeks, having tried email and phone. Nothing, absolutely nothing. I simply wanted to place an order and had 1 question. I get this is a difficult and busy time but every other business manages to communicate with their customers even if slowly. They haven't even setup their voicemail for their business number! Who does that? Unprofessional, incompetent and shameful. If they don't want to provide any customer service, then stop processing orders and running an online site whereby you only take people's money with zero communication. I see why they have all the bad reviews. Cheap prices will only take you so far. Edit: I read your form response. I see that you have time to respond on here but you can't answer the easiest of questions. I sent you a one line email weeks ago and tried calling multiple times. I understand the situation quite well, and some delays are understandable, but taking weeks to respond to a question like when you estimate your 5-30 lbs dumbbell rack/set will be back in stock, is just incompetent. If you can't communicate with your customers in a timely manner, say within 4 weeks even(!), perhaps suspend operations until you can actually do so.

People don't realize how the pandamic affected everyone, the supply chain got such a bad hit that managing to still take orders and supply them is a great achievment from these guys. Their website was very clear, 10-15 buisiness days to process and if you send an email it will take 1-5 days to answer so I don't understand why people are getting so upset if the information is right there. I made an order, took 14 days to process and one day to ship with an email to check on things that was answered 2 days later, they were clear and honest. 5 star in my books.

I ordered dumbbells and they arrived sooner than I expected. The product is of good quality and I am pleased with my purchase. The only downside is that I was charged a Canada post expedite delivery fee. When my items arrived it was not delivered by Canada post but from a guy with a U-Haul truck that was privately contracted by this company. When he arrived he told me to meet him downstairs because he doesn't delivery to apartment doors. I had to go downstairs to meet him to carry my 3 sets of dumbbells myself. Hence why I gave 3 stars.

overall a very good service, ordered on two seperate occasions and the products ordered were delivered in the timeframe given. The second time was ordering olympic plates off of the website. I ordered the cast iron 2.5,5,10 and 25lb plates and was satisfied with the product. I also ordered the 45lb virgin rubber plates and found they were small. the standard for 45lb olympic plates is 45cm in diameter or 17.5inches. The 45lb plates i received were only 15inches. On the website it does not give the dimensions of the olympic plates. I wouldn't mind have smaller 45lb plates if i knew that i was buying smaller 45lb playes, however the lack of information about the size of the plates was disappointing. other than that good service.

No ones fault they were simply bent during shipping. Do to the lockdown I expected a long wait for replacement parts. Know that the quality is not good for most items. I bought a wrist roller and harness for a sled and both broke under very light weight the first time I used them. For the extra money (usually around $10 for the same equipment) I would go to Treadmill Factoy where the quality is a little better and the prices are still quite cheap. Amazing pricing, quality product when you receive them. Can't blame for the delays as their manufacturing capacity can't sustain the business demand. I made 2 separate orders for a total of 7 items (roughly $500). One item was missing from my first order (made over a month ago). I pressed the issue with customer service department, which they promptly responded they would open an investigation with their carrier (Fedex). The maximum delay is 10 days (usually) and I've been waiting for 14 business days now for my case to be resolved. It seems neither the company or the customer has the power to accelerate the investigation, which means all you can do is wait. I have a couple of unsolicitated advices for the company: 1. Reinvest in your customer department, go hire competent people (they are clearly understaff). If liquidity is not enough, up the pricing and keep the increased marging to be able to reinvest. - If you don't, you might make a one-time sell customer because of your competitive pricing, but they won't comeback. 2. The GM/Director of the supply chain (whoever is in charge of that) should go over again the negociated terms with Fedex or get rid of them. Have a great day!

All equipment has held up, bench has some wear on the sides due to the stitching being weak. I originally ordered and payed for 2 x 35 lb rubber plates in June. When I received my order in July Fitness Avenue had sent me 2x 25 steel plates. I contacted the company and sent all the applicable receipts and packaging details an d was advised that they would investigate and get back to me. Fast forward to September when an individual contacted me and asked me to send back the order with packaging details that were forwarded to me. I affixed the appropriate labels and sent back the order via the courier service provided. That was 5 weeks ago and I have since reached out and received no reply. Not only did they take my money but also the wrong order back which leaves me with nothing . I have never written a review before but am so frustrated as well as dissatisfied with the whole process that I thought I would share my experience. Fitness Avenue is one of the hardest businesses I've had to deal with! I had ordered a rack from Fitness Avenue over 6 weeks ago now. Having just moved the addresses for the CC and billing didn't match up, the site caught that error and would not put my order through, that's all fine, I appreciate that there were security measures in place, so i re-placed a second order with the correct information. This second order went through with no problem and my card was charged on June 25th. I hadn't heard anything from them until July 29 (OVER A MONTH LATER), to which i got an email stating that my cards addresses were mismatched and the order had not been placed and they wanted me to e-transfer the amount due, WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID ON THE RE-PLACED SECOND ORDER A MONTH AGO. My card has not been reimbursed the amount of the purchase as they claim to have done to others in this situation, I've gone through my statements a couple times now to verify this. When using the tracking number to check the status of my order given on the second orders confirmation email there is no record for it. There is no phone number to call and actually speak to a person to get this sorted out, and communicating with these people through e-mail is an absolute nightmare. I would not recommend dealing with this company at all, find a business that you can actually call and speak to a rep!

I made an order almost a month ago and have been patiently waiting to hear (your website says 15 business days to fulfill) on the 16th day when I hadn't heard anything I emailed and was told that since my billing address and shipping address were different on the order, it wasn't fulfilled. No one contacted me to let me know this and you charged my credit card a month ago and their website let me select that option. When the person emailed, they didn't apologize or offer to expedite the order. Seriously TERRIBLE customer service. I can understand that the pandemic has caused in increase in orders but it's been 4 months. 4 months is a long time to improve your website and/or your business practices. For those who haven't ordered and are considering, don't do it to yourself. This company obviously doesn't care about their customers or improving their business practices.

My experience with Fitness Avenue was second to none. Over the past month I ordered my complete home gym through Yevgeny (Eugene) who provided fantastic support and assistance throughout the entire process. Even during a difficult and busy time he was able to facilitate a very smooth transaction. He was always available to answer any of my (numerous) questions over the phone or via email. He even saved me quite a bite on shipping on a couple of occasions when he did not have to. I would imagine most other places would have just racked up the bill as high as possible whereas Yevgeny actually contacted me and informed me of a cheaper shipping alternative. I saved a few hundred dollars just from his honesty and transparency alone. These are the sort of people I want to do business with! This professionalism was also reflected down the the shipping team, Ron, who was awesome and a pleasure to deal with. *EDIT* Product came 2 weeks late in mail. I will say product was high quality and I am very happy with the condition it arrived in. My main complaint in my first review was the profounding lack of communication from this company. This is AFTER their site already stated that online orders were unaffected by corona and my item was NOT back-ordered. I was given no updates to my inquiry or to inform me of any delay. I will most likely not recommend this company if you are looking for good customer service. In my recent review edit I had incorrectly stated that they did not update their expected processing (1-3 days) and delivering time (5-10 days) till this past week. I had only noticed the change based on more recent reviews and because they turned off all social comments on Instagram. I will mention that at no point though at the time of my order was I sent an email to update me on the extended delays or change of times as the owner has now said based on the time frame he has given in response. My original order was on March 25th till and received delay updates and responses to my inquiries for my order after the date I received my product on April 11th. I have updated my star review from 2 stars as it seems this company is trying to rectify it's mistakes and work hard on shipping products out during this pandemic. I am still not satisfied as a small business manager myself with how they handled inquiries and updates during my time with them though but appreciate the efforts they have made now.

**Update:** One of the customer service reps reached out and organized my pickup date. Product was received in good condition. **Original Post:** Placed an order online and it went through quickly. When they called to schedule a pickup I indicated that a family member would be picking up the order for me and they said they would need to refund me and charge my family member instead of just having them pick up the order. I said no problem I would just need to confirm with my family member when they were available for pickup. They said they would call back in a half hour and never followed up. Now I cannot get in contact, I have tried three different phone numbers associated with the company and they all hang up saying no one is available for my call. They company has not responded to any emails. As a bonus if I cannot pickup my order in the next few days it will be cancelled and they will charge a 3% restocking fee.

They have severe issues with both their stock and communication. Nearly all items on their website are listed as backordered. There's no way to get a notification for when it's in stock, or to place an order so you get into a queue for when they do get stock. You just have to be lucky enough to check their website at the right time. It's a good problem to have, I suppose - high demand for your product. But the way they're dealing with it is terrible. Their communication is lacking, as other reviews have pointed out. They don't answer the phone, and an email response takes days if you get an answer at all. I ordered a squat rack and attachment in August 2020, after being fortunate enough to find it available on their website (finally). September 2020 it was shipped (within their stated timeframe). Delivery should have been 2 items in 3 boxes. What was delivered was 1 item in 2 boxes, with the 3rd box not picked up at their warehouse by the courier. But it was shown as 'shipped'. It took days to get this sorted, with me even screenshotting the courier's website to show they only picked up 2 of 3 boxes. When I asked when my 1 box would be shipped to me, I was told the item is no longer in stock and I would have to wait until stock was replenished. Ridiculous. At least I was refunded my purchase for that item. Fast forward to April 2021. Every day since September 2020 I've checked their website for this attachment. Finally it was in stock. Finally I ordered it. Finally it arrived. And fortunately, it was the right attachment. The prices are decent. The quality is what you would expect for the price you pay. Decent enough gear for a home gym. I've had zero issues with the rack I bought in 2020, and the attachment (lat/low cable system) is decent enough. Hopefully it lasts. Patience is key with these guys. At least they're not gouging, which is why this is 2 stars, not 1.

Customer service is awful! I bought a bench, thinking it would be an upgrade from my old/cheap Canadian Tire one. Everything was fine until I assembled the bench and noticed missing nuts and bolts. Then I noticed the bench was crooked and not level ever. I told them, sent pictures, and their response was that "assembly was done incorrectly", and that I needed to loosen it, put it in the correct/level position and then tighten it. I did, and nothing changed, clearly it was a defective product. So I complained again, and they told me to do the same thing (as if I'm an idiot). I am still waiting for them to provide me with a solution, but nothing so far. Communication is by email only, which is really frustrating since they take for ever to reply. For example, I have not heard back from them for the past 6 business days. Frustrating? Absolutely, and I would not recommend them to any one. They do have good prices, which was why I decided to buy from them. So, if you decide to go with one of their products, hope that it is not defective and you won't need to go through their painfully slow and incompetent customer service.

I purchased a weight set from here and picked it up to avoid delivery fees. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and it's great to be able to do BodyPump at home whenever I want. Only took away one star because you don't realize until after you place your order that you can only pick-up items on Mondays to Fridays, during office hours; no weekend or evening times available at all. This meant I had to book time off work to get my order. I wish this was clearly written before I placed my order, because I may have reconsidered picking it up vs delivery. I also found it difficult to get a hold of anyone on the phone to ask anything. You can only email and wait until they respond.

My item was ready for pickup within the next 5 days of me ordering it. I showed up to their pickup location, loaded the equipment into my car and that was it. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. They have deplorable customer service. They use the COVID-19 crisis as a trite excuse to delay responding to your email for weeks as you can tell by their generic response to negative Google reviews. I tried to cancel an order and they did not even respond to my cancellation request. After three weeks and many emails and unanswered phone calls, they finally said that my original order had already been processed in their warehouse, and they would not be able to find it in order to cancel it. With online sales booming for them and all of their actual stores closed, you would think that they could redistribute more staff to responding to simple emails from clients and managing their warehouse operations.

Customer service is terrible. I ordered several of their products and a few months later I ordered some more gym flooring from them as I was adding to my home gym. Apparently they switched manufactures within those 2 months and the flooring is not the same size or fit so I have 2 types of flooring in my gym that can't connect. It took over 2 weeks of trying to get ahold of them before they responded and then they refused to provide a refund but instead said if I were to buy more flooring from them they would give me a discount of 25%. So their solution to them not providing reliable materials was for me to buy more.....makes sense. The equipment is decent for the price but they raised all their rates and are constantly sold out. Believe me when I tell you, trying to get ahold of them when something goes wrong is next to impossible and becomes very exhausting. Wouldn't even admit to their mistake. They said "it's recommended to buy everything at once". I said "where is thay recommendation stated on your website". That was the end of our emails as they didn't respond after that. Great job at ignoring customers. ????

Good equipment at rock bottom prices. Only thing I would not recommend is their barbells. I bought the 1500lb rated one for around $160 and the collars warped to the point spring collars and bumper plates won’t slide past that warping and it happened in just over a year from deadlifting in the 300-400 lb range with steel plates. I replaced it with a Rogue westside powerbar. I have Fitness Avenues bumper plates, kettlebells, dumbbells handles, benches, rubber flooring, foam rollers, cable attachments, bands, EZ curl bar, and other pieces and had no issues with anything else

I’m glad Fitness Avenue is not overpriced and constantly out of stock like other fitness equipment retailers. Product quality is overall great and the time from order confirmation to shipping is relatively short compared to some other stores. Where to begin...after dozens of attempts to contact them, they never reply to emails, they don't respond to phone calls, and they regularly delete comments and posts off Facebook and Instagram as users try to communicate with one another. In addition to the non-existent customer service, expect to wait upwards of 1 month or more with your order in limbo. You will have no idea what is happening or if you are receiving your order at all.

Purchased the AmStaff Fitness Free Standing Speed Bag. After around the 3 week mark with very little use I might add it split open on two of the seems and not just the thread used to sew it up but the leather its self came apart. Upon return I was informed there is no warranty on their products what so ever. Poor, Poor quality I tried to give this place and their product a half of star because they smiled when they took my money but couldn't so I had to give them one star. My orders have always been ready for pickup or delivered on time. I have not returned anything or required assistance with the items. They have been quick with a reply regarding a backordered item on their website. They have the lowest prices on quality equipment and the best service. That's all I need.

Unfortunately this is the second time writing this review as I took the first one down in good faith! This is truly one of those situations where one star isn’t justified. At this point I’ve had my machine for nearly two months and haven’t had the use of it due to faulty components and overall poor quality. Initially customer service was quick to respond but weren’t quick to find a solution. After nearly two months of correspondence with customer service, I received replacement parts but the issue remains. Long story short, I am truly disappointed with the product (AmStaff SD360 Smith Machine) and even more so with Fitness Avenue. I paid good money ($1848.84) for a product that is literally useless to me. So buyer beware, learn from my misfortune and shop wisely!

Customer service is the worst I've seen, to the point where I've asked my credit card company for direction and more options. I wanted to support a local Canadian company, and I still do...but it is not even close to worth it when dealing with this company. You can talk about COVID-19 and response times, but I am not only talking about the response times. The quality of your responses seem to be drafted by people who have no idea they're in a customer service role. Purchased directly from company's website, got best deal than seeing same item on Amazon. Great bench, lots of neat accessories and exercises that can be done on it. Only criticism (more like an area of opportunity for FA) is it would be beneficial for some kind of booklet or online videos that show all the exercises available with the bench and its accessories. I can guess what everything is designed to do, but I would have appreciated something that kind of shows me best form / approach. Eg. There are what appears to be dip handles facing backward on the barbell stirrups. So am I to try to do the dips with them facing back, or would it make more sense to turn the stirrups around so the dip handles are facing towards the seat of the bench? Either way would kinda work, but I think turning them around would give best stability....now if I do, how best do I perform a dip? Even the promotional video on YouTube only shows the static picture on the website / Amazon. If you're going to put a video on YouTube to promote the bench and build value, I encourage you to invest in a 5 min video that actually shows someone using the bench and accessories. I'm sure it will build value in the bench for even the standard price. I didn't even notice the dip handles when I bought it and was impressed to see them when I started putting it together! Thank you, will definitely check FA out again when I need more equipment.

I ordered a cable machine and was pleasantly surprised it was delivered in about 1 week only. The price is very reasonable and it's a fair shipping cost. The average quality cable machine matches the price, can't compare with more expensive models. The product description and pictures could be better on there website and needs improvement but overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Super disappointed. I bought their version of a Bosu ball and it is leaking after 6 months of use. It is rated as "commercial grade " and when I called the store today to tell them about it, they said "there is nothing we can do". A product should not fail this quickly. It would also be important to note when it is sold that there is no warranty on it (as I was told today). It makes buying a Bosu ball much more attractive when your money spent there doesn't have any store backing behind it.

I have used this company for over year, now. Good quality products as well as pricing. Shipping is prompt. However, very poor customer service and support. No person contact, no answering or voice mail. E-mails are unresponsive. Excellent company if you do not experience any concerns or issues with ordering or return, otherwise this drastically requires improvement. Ie. The company clearly states "Our current order processing time is 2-4 business day", however their response time for e-mails are "The current response time will be between 4 – 7 business days". Refunds are within 30days and I have outstanding ticket with no reply and several emails on day 14. You will be lucky if this response timeframe is met . This is obviously an issue with cancellations and returns. We are beyond the COVID excuse at this point of time.

I don't usually write reviews, but felt i should since i was a difficult customer and fitness avenue provided great support. I made 3 larger orders and cancelled two of them which fitness avenue responded within 2 business days and refunded completely within another 2 business days. My order that i kept shipped within 2 weeks and took 4 business days to deliver. Very happy with the experience during these busy times.

Brand new quality gym equipment, delivery time was ok considering covid, just wish there was pick up option so I wouldn't have to pay $100 for shipping.

it's great you guys have some kind of inventory, but the fact that toronto has been in phase 2 for 3 weeks now and you still don't have curbside pickup is brutal. I don't want to pay all this money in unnecessary money in shipping. it's crazy expensive purchasing weights. If you had curbside pick up this would be a 5star, no doubt.
