Pool closed for daycare. Cashier still take money and let us in. One of the lifeguard come and ask us to leave. They didn't mention about the refund at all until I ask for it. I used to be a long term member at the branch on Kimberly Avenue. I moved to neighborhood here and so disappoint at this branch.

Enjoy this YMCA. It has variable depth pools a small and larger pool. There are waterslides. Exercise areas and various rooms for activities. A large gym for play as well.

I come here nearly everyday to play basketball and hit the gym. Everyone there for the most part are very nice and willing to help if you ask. One pet peeve is that if they have the kids bouncy house they will keep it up for it's scheduled time even though there are no kids in it or around and there is like 20 kids trying to play basketball on the half court. Sometimes you get to see dancing Gabe that's a plus. The weight room is good not a bunch of people who just stare at you but the actual heavy lifting area Is so small

Frankly this is first time I really want to rate something. YMCA has absolutely gorgeous equipments& nice staffs, also, the people exercising in there are very nice. Everyone's trying their best to keep equipments clean, LOVE IT!

Worst Ymca in the city, their gym schedule sucks. Gotta have the whole gym for 5 people that playing nothing and let the other wait for open gym. At least have it half gym or something, share the facility cause everyone is paying as well.

Overall, our family prefers the Elmwood YMCA for most things. However, the workout area can not be beat. The building is always clean and well staffed. Not saying anything is wrong here... we just prefer Elmwood as a matter of preference.

I love this Gym, so much more than I expected. Everything is very clean, friendly, fun! I love the Aquafit classes and after exercising I always go to the giant hot tub. So relaxing, I am never hurt. Lots of stuff to children too.

Extremely crowded/overcrowded. This facility a long time ago needed a few satellite YMCA facilities to accomodate the large numbers of people. It is not possible to get parking - parking isn't the problem, it's that the facility has the feeling of long-since being maxed-out.

Great price for family fitness with very knowledgable swim staff and good programs offered all year. Typical chnage rooms although family chnage room is larger than most with better access to pool area . Layout.of 4 pools is excellent . Couple water slides (often not open due to lessons but available on weekends ) and large kiddie pool is excellent for babies and new swimmers

I base this only on the use of the soccer pitches. They could be cut more in the summer. Also the staff in the YMCA does not let you use the washrooms.

Excellent location for summer camp for your kids. This will be year three for my boys, age 6 and 9. They allow drop off at 730am and pick up as late as 530pm. If you don't have daycare lined up for the summer this is the best option, most affordable and flexible/reasonable pick up and drop off times. They also allow a payment plan. They often have the same camp counselors and kids each year and my boys look forward to that. My boys learned to swim going to camp and earned beads for kindness, sharing etc. Great place!

This YMCA used to be great for people who wanted to recreationally play basketball but unfortunately this location is so greedy that they have booked enough bouncy castle birthday parties to last until 2029. Seriously. A spring break schedule just dropped (usually the gyms would be wide open during this week to accommodate for the massive influx of kids coming to the YMCA that want to play basketball) and the best they could honestly do was to give 2pm-7pm for a half court ON A WEEKEND. That's preposterous. This YMCA is not thinking about the people that use the facilities daily and is more concerned with how much buck they can make off of parents trying to make a birthday party happen for their child. Side note, that bouncy castle hardly has any kids in it past a certain hour. The staff is lazy and don't start to take it down until like 15 minutes after it was supposed to already be gone.. cutting into most people's gym time.

The aquatic department is better than at Elmwood-Kildonan. There are two enclosed water slides, bigger family pool and whirlpool. But the steam room is colder - not fun at all. The family pool and the main pool both have adjustable bottom.

Disrespectful service. Tried suspending my membership today and was not helped and the staff was very rude and apathetic. The only reason this review is not a one star review is because I've been a member at this branch for years and for the most part it was okay. The facility itself is big and pretty clean for the most part but the staff doesn't know the schedule and does not set up gymnasium until 5-10 mins after the the activity is actually scheduled. Edit: After writing this review, I was promptly helped out. Lady on the phone was very kind and empathetic. thank you

This place has 2 indoor water slides but you would never know it. I checked the schedule online and it stated open swim. When I showed up with my kids they had geriatric jazzersize in the pool and they made me and the kids wait 1/2 hour in the hot tub before we could use the pool. (There was only about 8people in their olympic pool, they could have roped it off...)Then when we did get to use the pool the one life guard went on break for over an hour and never turned the slides on for us. Rude and inconsiderate staff. Never coming back!

Staff are very friendly and helpful but the condition of the play structure is unsatisfactorily dirty and not well maintained. There are loose handles, missing pillows at bottom of the slide, and bare boards and holes in several places in the structure. The dust accumulation has become unsightly. The soccer ball table has missing handle covers which can be injurious, and the air hockey table has not been cleaned up to standards. It is not safe nor sanitary to allow my 3 1/2-year-old grandson to play under these conditions. This absolutely needs to be investigated and rectified. For the cost of my annual membership and my grandson's monthly membership, I expect the facility to be maintained at a much higher standard. We are seriously considering finding another gym facility that will meet these required standards!

Overall, I find this “Y” to be wonderful. It has great workout equipment and a large variety of classes/times to choose from. Everything you could want from a workout facility. The only reason I give it a four out of five stars is because there is one individual at the service desk who is not customer oriented. When stressed her manner is not helpful. For example, if registration is happening she does not allow regular members to scan through. Not sure why she cannot do so because other desk personnel have done so. Most gyms have a system like this in place during peak periods for people who are regular members.

Went to a kids Birthday party. They offer a bouncy castle and other toys to play with. My son had a blast. They offer a separate room to have snacks and cake and open up gifts. Plenty of parking too.
