Wonderful and friendly staff. Everyone is always cheerful and ready to help. Trainers push you to your limits, and sometimes past them (which is awesome). Never the same workout, but all are equally as intense and difficult. Love the facility and the atmosphere that Alex and JT have been able to create. If you're looking for a new gym, this is my #1 recommendation!!
I have been a member for a year now and it is the first gym where I've felt like my money and time is worth it! They have a welcoming, positive and encouraging atmosphere, the workouts are always challenging (not once have they repeated the same workout, so I don't get bored!), they make sure you're doing the exercises properly, they offer live virtual options which is a bonus if you're away on weekends (no excuse to miss a class!) and they are taking all the right precautions during this pandemic to make sure we feel safe coming into the building! I can't recommend Thrive enough.
I have nothing but the best things to say about Thrive Active. It is one of the only fitness facilities I have felt completely supported on every leg of my fitness journey. They treat you like person, not just a membership. I have never felt judged, only sublime acceptance. Alex & JT have created and incredible community of support and passion. Their workouts are challenging but you feel like an absolute machine when you finish & their meal plans are the most sustainable delicious addition to your lifestyle. 15/10 would recommend to everyone I know.
After my first Bootcamp I knew I’d become addicted I needed workout classes where I could come in and get STRONGER. Every class is different so you won’t get bored of these workouts. Great for all fitness levels as they encourage pushing your limits but also stepping back and working on form if necessary. This gym & space is beyond stunning. The entire team takes pride in the space and you can tell. They offer body scans, personal training, meal plans/recipes & bootcamps. Excited to continue my fitness lifestyle here for months & years to come!
I’ve been working out at Thrive Active since January 2020 and it has been truly life changing for me.. The meal plans are amazing, the workouts are challenging but can be modified depending on the person, and the community is unlike any other. The owners and coaches truly want to see you succeed and are so so supportive. 10/10! ❤️
I joined Thrive a year and a half ago when I was about 5 months postpartum with my first son. I was so nervous to start and was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up with everyone else. Alex, JT, and the rest of the Thrive team were all very encouraging and made me feel like a part of the community right away. Thanks to their intense but fun workouts and their delicious & nutritious meal plans I was able to crush my postpartum fitness goals and am feeling so strong!! I started with Thrive in 2018 after my first baby and haven’t looked back. The classes are high intensity, challenging and fun. The coaches give great guidance and make every workout a little bit different to keep it interesting. The meal plan is delicious, accessible, easy and toddler approved.
I am just finishing an 8-week fitness challenge with Thrive Active and it has been an amazing experience. The workouts are very tough and challenging but there is something for every level of fitness - if you attend regularly you will see results for sure. The instructors are really good at providing modifications and extra challenges for each class and they make sure you always push yourself. When you walk in, they make the safety precautions very clear and it is a really good system. Each person in the class gets their own zone with all the equipment and the entire gym is sanitized after each class. They take it very seriously. The virtual workouts are amazing too and easily accessible. The instructors are all super friendly and do a great job! Bootcamps are always the best part of my day. Would definitely recommend.
I have been going to Thrive since December 2019. The classes are well run and are a great workout. The gym is clean and they are up to date with new equipment. JT and Alex are both excellent instructors and support of everyone at all points in their workout journey. Definitely recommend this gym for a great place to work out.
I’ve been a Thrive active client for many years and have a great experience. The bootcamps are challenging and rewarding. They’ve created a positive and welcoming environment with trainers who will encourage you to give your full potential. I have always recommended Thrive to friends, and will continue to as this is like no other gym in Winnipeg!
I've been doing Thrive workouts over the last few months and I have been loving every minute I am in there. The equipment and space is kept in immaculate condition and everything is so clean. So many different pieces of equipment make each workout unique. You never have the same class twice! The staff are friendly and knowledgable before, during and after class and are always pushing me without overdoing it. I can feel my cardio and strength improve over time with each workout. I'd recommend to all fitness levels.
I joined over two years ago when Thrive Active was originally called Total Package Fitness. I originally did the online challenge with a couple of drop ins to the bootcamps, I’m glad I did because the energy is like nothing else! The Thrive Active team has given me the tools I need to love food in a different way, to work out effectively and the keys to my health. They really do care about your fitness journey and most importantly they put emphasis on sustainability rather than quick results. I am so glad I started, one of the best decions I’ve made in my life! It also introduced me to an amazing community of people, who support and encourage one another! Thank you so much Alex and JT! Thrive Active has taken my workout experience to the next level. I have only been attending bootcamps for a few months but they have been wonderful! I would never make myself sweat as hard as I do in these classes! Alex and JT have created a super team of instructors and trainers. I personally love Chrissy and Kristen classes at 7:10. Can't make it in person? They have you covered with Virtual classes. Just starting out, not an issue. Most instructors give you modifications you can do so you can still be successful! If you are looking to shake up your exercise program I would suggest checking out Thrive Active!
I have tried so many different classes and memberships and Thrive is the only one I have managed to stick with and also enjoy. The team is super knowledgable, helpful and WELCOMING TO ALL SKILL LEVELS! This was huge for me — as it would be any beginner. You have people in the class who crush workouts, and another group of people who are trying something new. Everyone gets challenged in their workout for where they are at. I have fallen in love with the thrive community! Not only has it pushed my limits of working out, I feel like I can do it and enjoy it! I feel stronger and more confident. I am glad I joined and will be telling everyone I know that it has been the best change I’ve made to my life style!
I absolutely LOVE Thrive Active!! I started taking their bootcamps the summer of 2019, before they opened their new space. The new facility is stunning, so clean, and the classes are KILLER. Love how they push me so much and I feel the STRONGEST I have ever felt. I also find them very welcoming to new people, and make everyone (all fitness levels) feel comfortable. So grateful for the amazing community that they have created! I have met so many incredible friends, the most positive & supportive. It's a space I am able to come and plug in to, which helped me get through some of the hardest things in life. Now during the pandemic, the VOD classes have truly helped with my mental health. Thank you so much Alex, JT and all of the incredible coaches, and community. I feel like this is a second home for me and I can't wait to be back in the space after this pandemic as settled. My absolute favourite workouts and community! I have done the 12 week challenge, the 8 week challenge, and online personal training. Whether in the gym or at home I always get the best workouts and the support and encouragement from the trainers and other thrive members is something I've never had anywhere else. Plus Alex's mealplans and recipes are absolutely amazing!
This gym has been my saving grace in the pandemic. Not only has it been essential in helping me attain my goals in achieving physical strength, it has been a key ingredient for taking care of my mental health. I have recently started doing the Thrive workouts from home and let me tell you, they are killer! I have been having so much fun doing these workouts and can't wait for the gym to reopen so I can experience this community and all they have to offer! Super happy that I purchased the Thrive on Demand and have felt the need to move my body every day now! What can I say Thrive Active has made me feel welcome from the first day I walk in the door approx 3 yrs ago. I was totally out of shape and in my 50’s. Thrive has been nothing but the best since I've started going. I have been training 1 on 1 with Vanessa since January 2020, she is so encouraging and fun to be around. She has completely changed my attitude about being in a gym. I look forward to my sessions with her. The facility itself is also amazing. There is a nice personal training room which is where I started off and then the big gym itself which is what we use when there are no boot camps in session. One of my favourite things about the gym is how eco-friendly it is, man-power goes a long way. The community is unlike any other, everyone is welcoming and friendly and so encouraging.

I went to my first bootcamp in Oct of 2018 and to say I'm still obsessed with these workouts and community is an understatement! With the new, gorgeous, clean, spacious and environmentally friendly gym, Thrive Active is truly in a league of their own. I have been attending thrive active classes for a few years, 231 classes to be exact :) I ALWAYS struggled to consistently hold down a fitness routine. Alex and JT changed that for me. Their classes are never the same, they’re fun, challenging, yet manageable for any fitness level. I started with a custom online program (including meal plan) & twice a week boot camps. I just recently did their 8 week Challenge during the COVID lockdown. The VOD on demand workoutss or the live virtual boot camps are a nice way to stay active and connected. I have been going to Thrive Active for just over 2 and a half years now and just as many people say, it changes your life. I've never found a gym/class or any type of workout that I've consistently stuck to and this has been it for me and many other people. I've learnt so much since I've started their bootcamp classes like proper form, WHY proper form is important, that conditioning doesn't have to be just running or that core workouts isn't just crunches. No workout is ever the same so you never get bored and you're always being challenged. The coaches are so supportive, friendly, fun and encouraging. I've done 4 challenges with Thrive Active and you're provided with the best workouts, meal plans and community for support. What more could you ask for!? The community is another thing I never knew I'd gain and I'm so thankful I did because I've made some amazing friendships! The facility is amazing with very unique and original designs/equipment and SO clean. I promise you will leave every workout feeling so accomplished, strong and proud which is why I keep coming back! I LOVE Thrive Active. Not just because the workouts are intense and effective but because of the community and what it stands for. I have attended classes in the past and have done online training which I loved and in 2020 I completed 2 challenges and subscribed to their Video on Demand workouts. I have been with Thrive Active since October of 2016. I have done everything that they offer, from their Online Programs, to bootcamps, multiple 12 Week Challenges, personal training and currently their Video on Demand option. I keep coming back to them. Nothing is ever redundant. Thrive consistently comes up with new ideas for workouts, ways to effectively use your time, and new recipes for meal plans. I have never showed up to a bootcamp, a personal training session or a VOD class and been able to anticipate what was coming up. You will never get bored. They have an option for everyone no matter what season of life you are in. I have gone through times where I could only workout from home because of small kids, then been able to get out of the house for workouts, then needed something that would work while at the cabin, and now during a pandemic they were able to pivot and come up with amazing options for their community at home as well as offer a safe environment for those who are comfortable with heading back to the gym. Alex and JT are an awesome team and each bring their own skill set to the mix and always make things fun with their sense of humour and competitiveness. They work so hard and have created a extensive, loyal community, an awesome brand and a top notch, eco-friendly facility. This place is amazing! I started initially after hearing about it from Wheelhouse, and I signed up for the 8 week challenge without knowing what I was getting myself into. I am an active lover of spin and I had no idea how amazing I would feel by incorporating HIIT workouts into the mix. The staff and community here are just so warm and welcoming. I never felt out of place once. Highly recommended!
Alex, JT, and their team of coaches are absolutely amazing! I cannot begin to express how much they all have helped in my fitness journey; from knowing almost next to nothing to gaining knowledge throughout each class! They have created an inclusive environment in which anyone that attends their classes feels safe, while also kicking their butts! I’ve been with thrive since April 2018 (back in the TPF days at the old gym). This is a place I can’t imagine not having in my life. The community they have created is like no other. The eco gym is always spotless, they’re always creative with new workouts, the 8 week challenge and meal plans are amazing (and work) the coaches/trainers are some of the best out there, I could go on and on and on. I genuinely love being there and crushing their workouts! I’ve also made the best of friends since starting there and for that I’ll forever be thankful !!

I’ve been going to Thrive off and on for over a year now. As a busy working mom of three I love that I am able to get a great workout in in just under an hour without having to think about it! The facility is so clean and they’re always adding in new equipment! The coaches, the music and the vibe at Thrive keep me coming back! Definitely worth checking out!

The instructors, workouts, community and facility have all contributed to a positive workout environment. The classes challenge you and have truly made me feel stronger. My favorite part of my day is going for a workout at Thrive. The workouts are challenging but always fun. Everyone who works there is so nice and they are doing a great job keeping everything clean and everyone social distanced. Plus if you don’t want to go in person they do online personal training which I also love!

I’ve been with Thrive (formerly Total Package Fitness) since 2015. I have participated in multiple 12 and 8 week challenges, online workout programs and in-person boot camps (at multiple locations). The staff has always been kind and helpful. Alex is easy to talk to and her recipes are always great! I love that JT really cares about your form and will correct you until you do it right (which has made me learn a lot and prevented injuries). I love that they were able to pivot during the pandemic and offer video on demand workouts. The workouts are easy to do from home, but still provide a great workout. And I love that there are 20 minute options (perfect for my daughters nap time!) I haven’t had a chance to work out in the new location yet due to the pandemic, but I have been there for a 3D body scan (which is super cool) and the new facility is beautiful! Very clean and spacious. I would highly recommend Thrive Active.

Thrive offers the BEST workouts and meal plans. The atmosphere, staff and music motivate me to push myself way more than I could do on my own! The meal plans introduced me to delicious healthy meals that are now staples in our home :)

The new gym is amazing, the instructors are motivating, the meal plans are delicious, and the community is so welcoming - I really can't say enough about how this place and these people have changed my life for the better! The owners care so much about the success of their clientele, no matter what each persons' goals are. Even the virtual workouts during the pandemic lockdowns were amazing! Would HIGHLY recommend anybody looking to improve their fitness level, regardless of what stage they're at, to try out Thrive!
My wife has used VoD. They are really effective, with minimal equipment and high intensity. Perfect for a rural mom of 3. She definitely has results to show for it. ???? I'm not a fitness or healthy lifestyle guy, so I was very surprised to learn that Thrive has come up with some dynamite recipes! I look forward to the Big Mac Salad and Shawarma Chicken every time, among the many others. Well done. ????
I did my first challenge with Thrive almost a year ago and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The atmosphere is so comfortable and accepting and Alex’s meal plans are ????????. Not only has it changed how I feel about activity and healthy living but I’ve made some amazing friendships.

I went to my first class back in June of 2020 and am hooked!!!! After attending one class I was obsessed with the atmosphere, the workouts and the overall community feel that Thrive has created. All the coaches are extremely outgoing, super helpful and will kick your butt into shape! I truly look forward to my workouts through the week. Thrive Active is honestly like no other!!! I’ve been with them for almost 4 years, completing individual phases and 3 challenges now! I’ve carried everything I’ve learned from them into my everyday life and have never looked back!!! I’ve done everything virtual as I cannot commit to set times due to being a shift worker... but have had the most AMAZING results!!! Their VOD workouts are absolutely amazing! For the first time ever, I can say I love working out!! The workouts are challenging, fun and never the same. The coaches are so encouraging and are there to keep you safe and motivated! They have done a remarkable job keeping the gym clean and safe while providing creative solutions given the different restrictions. I cannot wait to continue my journey with Thrive!

Each one is different and challenging and the coaches are so supportive and motivating. Love this place! I have attended many boot camps both at their old and new location, as well as a few of the challenges! I am always amazed that all the staff know my name and greet me at the door, especially since there are so many people attending classes on a regular basis! It makes me feel so comfortable and like I’m part of the Thrive family:) I recommend boot camps for absolutely anyone, whether you’re a beginner or not!

I have done 3, 8 week challenges and now continue to do the virtual on demand workouts from home. I never thought a workout from home could be so difficult! The meal plans are awesome offering meals and snacks I enjoy and fill my cravings. SO. WORTH. IT! I can't stress that enough. Thrive Active is more than a place to work out. It is seriously a community of people who are there to empower you, support you, and show you all of your potential! Even if you go by yourself to a class you feel like you are among friends instantly.
I can’t say enough great things about this place! The community is the best, and the workouts are like no other. The coaches celebrate your victories and cheer you on the entire way. You will never feel alone in your journey. I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years now and have no plans to slow down anytime soon! There is no place I’d rather come to be pushed and grow stronger! Being in that room with everyone makes you feel so driven and motivated. It’s hard to put into words, just something to be experienced yourself! During the last year with all of the new challenges of covid, they have gone above and beyond in every way to make sure we all feel safe. Love my Thrive Fam!
I joined thrive recently after not being able to push myself hard enough to get a good workout and not enough motivation to even workout! I am SO happy to be back in the gym, the atmosphere is so welcoming and the workouts are challenging and there are modifications available if you need, lighter, heavier, whatever! I really enjoy that it’s co-ed because I even got my boyfriend to join me. They have done a great job adjusting with COVID measures, and I cannot say enough about the equipment. The stairs, ramp, track, sorinex roller and individual stations with boxes weights etc. are awesome. I can’t say enough good things!
I love the workouts at Thrive! The coaches are great and they encourage you to push beyond your comfort zone. The music is pumping to keep you going when you start to feel it. The meal plans are easy to follow and the recipes are delicious!!
I was looking for a new boot camp to go to and a friend recommended Thrive. Right from my first class, the front desk staff and trainers are welcoming and friendly. It’s an inclusive gym, that is well equipped with various equipment for you to use. Like everyone I was nervous with Covid but found they go over and above to keep things sanitized, separate and safe. The energy in the gym is infectious, between the trainers encouragement and the loud music and uplifting faces beside you it’s a great atmosphere. The coaches will help correct your form and push you if/when they see an opportunity. Every class is different and challenges you in a new way. I’d highly recommend it to anyone!
I have been attending classes at THRIVE ACTIVE since they opened (and before under their previous name for years). The new gym is amazing; so clean, so bright and the energy of the classes is so electrifying! I could be having the worst day and just walking through those doors makes me feel happier! The community that Alex and JT have built is just amazing. I have made new friends and everyone is so kind and encouraging!
I've been a continuous client of Thrive Active for several years now, and being part of their community is such an important component of my life. They have amazing workouts, realistic and maintainable meal plans, and coaches who support you and care about you wherever you are on your fitness journey and with working towards whatever goals you set for yourself. Definitely check them out if you want to improve your physical or mental health and be surrounded by great people!
The best place to workout in Winnipeg. Supportive trainers, fun creative workouts (have never done the same workout twice), beautiful CLEAN space. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a good workout!
I did my first challenge with Thrive last fall and I cannot say enough good things! They were friendly, helpful and the classes were intense, but amazing, no matter your fitness level. The meal plan was also catered towards your personal goals and individual needs. I am now doing their video on demand workouts and they are also amazing with so many to choose from. I would highly recommend to anyone!
I cannot say enough about the thrive active community and facility. 2 years ago I joined thrive and it changed my life. Sounds cheesy but it truly did. I developed new habits, patterns and behaviours that supported my physical and mental health. The bonus was that I made so many great friends and became part of a community that is positive, supportive and help me to achieve my goals! My respect and admiration for what Alex and JT have done for so many people is immense! Thank you!
Doing my fourth bootcamp challenge and it honestly never gets old!! The keep the classes so fresh and ever changing you don’t feel like you are getting stagnant. The coaches are so encouraging and high energy. I am so glad I took the leap of faith a few years ago and did this. Best decision I have ever made. If you are thinking about stop and just do it!!! You will not regret it!
I’ve only done one challenge with Thrive but their encouragement, support, and energy and especially the community they’ve created makes them so different from other gyms. I can’t wait to be back in their facility (hopefully) soon!!
I have been going to Thrive for over a year now and it has had such a positive impact on my life. I look forward to working out, getting stronger and feeling better. The staff is welcoming and the trainers are helpful and encouraging. The workouts are TOUGH but they do an excellent job of making you feel like you can do it! I have done two challenges and they are WORTH. IT. Alex creates amazing meal plans. She is creative with her recipes and you never feel like your 'missing out'- her options are delicious! I have had multiple friends join and have met many people through Thrive and it is such a positive, welcoming community. If you are looking for a unique, tough and safe fitness experience- you should definitely try Thrive.
Thrive Active bootcamps are awesome! They keep the sessions interesting, the coaches have great energy and I always leave drenched in sweat and feeling good!
The atmosphere at this gym can't be matched anywhere else. From being greeted right at the front door with a smile and welcomed on a first name basis, to being challenged differently every week... There's never a dull moment at Thrive Active. Each coach is unique and the workouts are forever changing and evolving. I have been a part of their bootcamps since 2019, and I still ache consistently even when I attend 5-6 workouts weekly. I feel like I'm receiving more than my money's worth, and I can't wait to go back! Thrive Active has played a huge role in my transformation both physically and mentally!!!

Absolutely love this place and the community that Thrive is! I finally caved and decided to sign up for the 8 week challenge back in September. I remember leaving my first workout thinking "what the heck did I get myself into?" It has now been 4 months since the challenge ended and I am still consistently working out. 100% recommend trying out a class at Thrive. You will be hooked! Just trust me! The results you will see are only an added bonus to how confident and energized you will feel!
