Amazing gym and amazing people in it, what can I tell you? The equipment is very well kept and works wonderful but aside from that, the guy working behind the counter is an amazing person and will keep it both professional and very lighthearted. Definitely a step above any gyms around.

There's really nothing to say other than it's a terrific gym, with an even better owner. If you're ever looking for some pre workout pep talk, you spend 30 seconds talking to Angelo (owner) and he'll boost you up on the highest pedestal. Need a spot? He's already racing over before you can finish asking. Want some workout advice? He knows the machines and weights inside and out. So if you're looking for a gym that makes you feel like you're working out right at home, with an excellent selection of machines both cardio and strength, a plethora of free weights and barbells, and a warm personal greeting, look no further because Sweat Equity Fitness is here.

I really recommend Sweat Equity. It's a smaller facility but it has everything you need. New equipment, good environment, 24 hour service. It's locally owned and the owner Angelo is a super cool dude which you'll get to know, as he's usually there to welcome you. Not to mention it's a very reasonably priced membership. Overall I really have enjoyed working out here.

Literally joined less than a week ago because of the insane strict policies employed at the U of M, and needed a place more flexible. My brother recommended I go to his gym where all his friend go to and I’m starting to see why. It would be unrealistic to compare it to the massive institution that is the Active Living Center but my god does this place still measure up in every way that counts. Amazingly friendly staff, awesome atmosphere and great workout equipment. The 24/7 operating hours and it’s generous starting package is unparalleled and cannot be understated. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in, and strongly recommend this gym to everyone from the gymrats to the casuals. EDIT: The owner is absolutely correct, the accommodating environment is one of a tightknit family, hence the flexibility. However, safety and respect is rightfully a requirement by all. The gym is wholly within the COVID guidelines, and the rules with regards to a safe and clean environment are very strict.

Lovely experience at this gym! Angelo is so kind and the staff at the front makes you feel welcomed! It is a very good atmosphere and community at this gym. Very easy on my part to enjoy the facility. It was simple to sign up. 24h access lets me find the perfect time to come! Safe and supportive space to work on your fitness and strength goals. Lots of selection of equipment to work with.

The gym is very clean, there is a wide variety of new equipment and machines, and the owner Angelo is friendly. I felt welcome and comfortable since the first time I stepped into the place, which was important to me as a novice gym-goer! I 100% recommend this small business over other gym chains. The first 3 months are currently $5/ea., and there really is no catch.

If you don't like the big franchise gyms in the city this is the place for you. Great people great owner and great value. I have done the big gyms before and I got tired of paying big money for a place that everytime I walked in something else was not working. Or you had a group of meat heads that thought they owned the free weights. Sweat equity is so much better. And you get to know the people you are working out with and that makes everything more enjoyable. Highly recommend to everyone.

I can’t say enough good things about this gym! The entire atmosphere is friendly, supportive and motivating. There is an excellent selection of equipment, the space is bright and clean, and the staff is beyond friendly, inviting and helpful. It is a safe space to get a great workout in with zero judgment. Awesome Gym, has all BRAND NEW equipment, everything you need for a full weekly lift routine (Dumbbells, a Variety of Machines, Bands, Mats, Benches, Pads for Deadlift and Power cleans). Overall I highly recommend anyone looking for a great gym to go here. The environment is great, the members are all friendly, and the administration is 10/10 best you'll find in any gym.
