Great gym
Friendly atmosphere & great equipment
Amazing machines and facilities, big, spacious, and really nice staff???????????????????? i enjoy working out here with my friends ????????????????
Good place. But music is so boring.
In Winnipeg for business and had time for workout. I have been to gyms across the country and this may be the best I've seen. Members all put their weights away and seem to care for their club. Spacious and well designed.
Has everything I need and has really good service
Everything is good just if any equipment breaks or need any repairs they just put tag on them of maintenance and then you forget that machine for at least 3 months. Other than that staff is really good
Modern/ new age design, spacious with equipment spread out, bright, great long standing mirrors, beautiful hot yoga room open to the public, friendly staff, clean. Favorite new Goodlife !!
I joined this Goodlife a week ago and so far I've been pleasantly surprised. It's a bit expensive, but you do get quite a bit of equipment, service, and facilities. The sign up process is fairly straightforward, you walk in, talk to one of the desk people and they'll sort you out. The layout of the space is not quite as logical as it could be, and they do have a lot going on, but it's not bad. The only thing that would make it better for me is having a pool but they have a sauna, hot yoga, and cycling rooms, as well as regular classes and a dedicated area for PTs and their clients. The weight rack is extensive and has increments of half weights so not only are there enough weights for everybody, there are enough variations that you should be able to find something you can lift. There also a lot of benches, although their benches are weird and not what I'm used to at all. There is also only one Smith machine, which I don't think is enough at all. There are a lot of power racks though. I also like that they're open 24hrs, and there's a car park outside. Definitely check it out.
Open for almost 2 years, still close at 8pm On the weekend including friday. What a bad service time.
Great staff
It is good facilities, but make sure you read contract details don’t trust the agent wording. I cancel my membership and they charge 2 month fee instead of one week after a one year membership and I talked with the front desk and she said it is out system. So I end up paying for 2 month instead of one.
Equipment has been broken for months. It’s so incredibly infuriating
Honestly they keep the gym too cold.... goodlife responder a B.S. political answer saying it’s what’s “best” for everyone...
Great place to work out. Usually have at least one machine free that I want to use. Clean, Covid compliant.
Great multipurpose gym. Always clean. Brand new equipment (lots of it), multiple training areas from cardio, free weights, cable machines, racks/benches, iso machines, turf area, padded area for core/stretching, and more. Only potential downside is it can be very busy at peak times.
The friendly service keeps me coming back. Their staff is always ready to help (I've locked myself out of my locker 2X now). They are willing to answer any questions you may have about the gym, equipment, classes and instructors. Incredible staff! This is definitely the cleanest Goodlife I've been to in Winnipeg. The womens washroom is stocked up at all times. Kleenex, q-tips, hair elastics are always available for us at no cost. I do hope they get new hair dryers (they're on the weaker side). But then again I've got long thick hair so it could just be me. My routine is workout, shower up and get a free massage on the massage chairs that are provided for all members to use. Hopefully the 3rd chair gets repaired soon as it's a great way to end your time at the gym. Favorite classes: Body Combat, Body Pump, RPM and Cx Worx.
I have been going to this Goodlife location for almost a year now, and I recently had the opportunity to go to a different Goodlife location. It made me realize just how great Goodlife Grant is! Fantastic layout, it's not hard to find anything because it's all in one big open room. Lots of options for classes, cardio and weights. Also the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. It's a great choice for a gym!
Mind blown! I’ve been to many goodlifes all over Canada but this one is the best of them all. Brand new. The locker rooms feel like 5 start hotels change rooms with sauna and showers and a personal change room (never seen this before). Spacious with high ceilings and the workout area is huge. Almost like half the size of a football field (maybe a bit less) lol Separate group fitness classes and vending machines that actually have protein shakes and not coke and Pepsi in them ???? I’m so impressed. I go to the garden city one but I’ll be sure to travel an extra 10 mins to get to this location regularly. Good job staff! Keep it up!
Awesome facility! Great staff! Greeting is on point and staff always seem to display a positive attitude and are willing to help in any way they can. Take advantage of that free personal training session, it gives you a great idea of where you're really at and how to go about acheiving your goals in a much more efficient way. I reccomend Travis for sure. Great energy from that guy and tons of knowledge to share. Can't go wrong! Check this place out either way!
Equipped for pros and amateurs...high energy environment... as soon as you walk in , you switch to beast mode
They were offering free freezes due to covid, but as soon as the vaccine passport came and I wasnt allowed to enter anymore. They still charge me, they dont care about their clients, just money and themselves. I would have cancelled the membership if the gym wasnt 100 steps from my house.
The guys and girls on the front desk are amazing! Really helpful and always smiling. The trainers here are also very helpful. I especially like seeing Avontay, Paige and Sami! It's worth a visit here just because of this besides the equipment is really nice.????
Superb
My partner and I have been going to the kenaston location and loving it, but we agree that the layout of the new location is just beautiful and so easy to use! Really impressed!
The GM Brad has been amazing in helping me with my personal training payments, any time there is an issue he has fixed it right away. GoodLife is an amazing gym.
I like this gym overall, only reason i am giving it 4 stars that its not open 24hrs everyday
Nice equipment.
This location is my best location in Winnipeg because of the fact that they have some cool staff, very respective and professional. Moreover you will not encounter parking issue as you may get in some downtown locations. 5 ⭐️
Pretty busy location.
Great staff
great gym but you guys should mayyybe look into having a shoes policy on the gym floor or at the very least socks. seeing people barefoot on the mat area is just not a vibe when people are laying there afterwards and what not. seems unnecessarily unsanitary
Really large and spacious with various options for working out such as their hot yoga studio. Located inside Grant Park shopping mall so close to several amenities and great for if you want to get some shopping/ movie watching done after a workout!
Extremely predatory business practices
Good facilities. Way better than the Kenaston.
Very nice place to work out in. There is many machines and free weights to work with. The space for free weights is too small and there is not enough benches for everyone even though there is small amounts of people working out. Also this place has two rows of different machines to have a quick run through them and call it a day, very nice. The cleaning there is very nice too. Over all I would recommend it to my friends because you get benefits from that.
Probably the best gym in Winnipeg but is not open 24 hours as advertised on its Google page.
Best club in Winnipeg, clean and good machine
Good staff and location nice clean
Friendly staff, always kept clean and functioning. The hot yoga fans are a little rattl-y and distracting. Wish they would ditch the tanning beds and invest in private infared saunas or private water massage beds (yasssss). Something a bit more modern GoodLife! But a good location overall.
Staff could care less, other than selling training packages. Not clean in the change area or the workout area. (Broken cleaning bottles for days, floors covered in hair in the change area, bathrooms are gross but that's the customers being as gross) Vastly over priced (70 monthly). I can't think of any reasons to stay other than I'm fat and it's close
Didnt go there. Have no clue where it is.
Good place to work out, issues with machines being out of service is sometimes noticed.
Best Gym in Winnipeg, can highly recommend it! Thank you guys ????????
They have pink trigger point rollers, booya! ???? Coincidence? 巧合呢? ???? #pink #goodlifegrant #workout ????
Lots of space here. Well kept gym
For me best layout of a Goodlife in Winnipeg. Top notch. If only i loved closer this would be my regular gym
Most beautiful GoodLife in Winnipeg. Brightly lit, spacious, has high ceilings even in the change rooms.
An amazing good life. Would be 5 stars if only it was 24/7. Other than that 10/10
Why does GoodLife censure the comments ?
Lots of machines and lots of room to do your workouts.
Poor response time to customer calls. Manager, Sara Menge, is always in a meeting and not available.
Clean
Amazing staff!! And no matter what yes to goodlife.
My muscles hurt after going here.
Got to try hot yoga the first time. It was an awesome experience. The room is very warm which I like and the yoga instructor thought us basic to intermediate yoga poses. Started sweating after 15mins of session. Able to stayed the full hour of hot yoga class. Will definitely do it again. Felt good after. Good detox.
I love being here !
The thing about Goodlife is they've become too large for their own good. There is a disconnect between corporate and the front line staff and that disconnect leaves customers feeling like it's a little too clinical now. Where did the warm friendly empowered staff go? Why so much turnover and pressure to sell sell sell? Honeslty I've been a member for 13 years and am now leaving in disappointment. The rates continue to climb packaged with so called benefits we don't even want! Just let me pay for what I want! This isnt cable television, which not surprisingly isnt popular anymore. Take a hint. Disconnecting the real in person EMPOWERED customer service to a cold impersonal 1-800 line is NOT the answer! They aren't empowered either! You've become greedy Goodlife and frankly I'm encouraged to see all the lower priced gyms take a chunk of your business. The market always proves who is right and you failed to listen. Why are you then last longer rid of contractual obligations. I guess big ships take longer to turn around. Anyway no effort was made to save my business whatsoever, even after a talk with one of the managers. I was promised a follow up call which never happened. Try talking to a minimum wage paid customer sales rep in between her texting. Shaking my head here. I tried, I really tried and gave you a lot of money over 13 years. C'est la vie.
This is my favourite GoodLife in the city. Would be even better if it was 24/7 instead of 24/4. But it’s still amazing none the less.
Happy people.
Great gym lots of space and equipment
The reason I’m writing this because I was discriminated and treated by an employee who workers at this location with the name of Stacy “manager”, Due to an error on the last transactions made by the stuff, my membership was inactive, after gettin into the gym I was asked by her to grab my stuff and leave or she will call for me people and then she came with 4 and tried to scare me, ....
(EQUIPMENT OUT OF SERVICE) If you are thinking about getting a membership at the GoodLife Grant Park, I would highly recommend you don't. If you visit the Grant Park location I would ask for a tour first and pay attention to the red tags on the equipment that read, out of service. Several pieces of equipment in the gym are broken, both cardio and weight. Also, do not assume that the equipment has been broken for a few days, as a member I can share with you that the equipment has been broken for weeks and sometimes months. You are wasting your money at this location because you are not able to use equipment you paid for in your membership.
Been a member for years, go to all locations- love the classes that they used to have with Sarah ! NOT a fan of the front desk, ALWAYS rude or have dirty looks/ on their phone (Not as bad as kenaston) I feel like i am a chore when i ask for a towel ect. Over crowded (which is not the gyms fault) in evening time and annoying to wait for all machines and gets really dirty and messy fast. Cleaner in evening was good but no personal boundaries...... ADDITIONALLY I have been video taped MULTIPLE times by both staff and members in open facility and change rooms. Building is new and shiny but people inside are not . 1/5
Hours are annoying
Nice but Need to extend the hours on weekend .
clean, convenient, friendly staff
Broken machines since 2021, out of commission water fountain for about a month now. Just 1 working water station for the entire gym facility. Friendly staff except one lady who works at the front desk and always gives every gym patron a hard time.
Friendly staff
Great place to workout, the staff is always friendly and professional!
Love working out here
Best place to workout in entire city. Awesome staff and amazing members :)
Just started up with Good Life Grant and absolutely love it. Its a great environment and the staff is very helpful
Great set up
I really like the gym. It is very large and kept very clean.
Modern/ new age design, spacious with equipment spread out, bright, great long standing mirrors, beautiful hot yoga room open to the public, friendly staff, clean. Favorite new Goodlife !!
A great gym, busy at times but new and clean. Great trainers, great machines, friendly staff.
A great gym, busy at times but new and clean. Great trainers, great machines, friendly staff.
Love how much space this gym has
The place at Grant Park is huge. It is very spacious and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable
I have been going to this gym on and off for about a year, and I have to say that facility cleanliness has improved immensely. A few months ago I would find dirty change rooms, floors, and exercise areas. Weights would be spread all across the weight room, bands, and barbells impossible to locate. It got bad enough that I started avoiding this location and choose the Grant facility although it meant a longer drive. A month ago I decided to give it one last chance and I was impressed. The place is tidy, equipment maintained, and weights are in their right places. Whatever brought about the change, keep it up
Great!
Very friendly staff. It’s a huge facility. Easier to find parking. The equipment is new and a plenty of free weights available. Their personal training area is separate and a separate cycling room as well. Variety of equipment for cardio and variety of classes offered.
Time to keep your out of commission equipment and water fountain- in commission, instead of them being left there for weeks to months on end with signs saying out of service. Time to get a local service maintenance worker to fix the problems!
I came to Grant Park as it is closest to where I live as I moved in March. I spent the past year going to the facilities at Leila and on McPhillips, occasionally Kenaston. I was planning to cancel my membership but I squarely put the blame on my not having gone as much as I could have for the duration. I spoke to a fabulous personal trainer who set up an appointment with me regarding nutrition as well as finding ways to motivate me to work out more! The front desk staff and the associate who walked me through the cancellation were all so friendly and helpful. I'm really planning to make the most of my renewal as I think there is so much more that I could be doing to improve my health.
Great location and very friendly staff!
Great location and very spacious. Unfortunately from treadmills to leg press to even water fountains to a paper towel dispenser to help clean machines and a quarter of the equipment is out of service for repair. They do have a lot of cardio equipment taped off for distancing, however the stuff that’s left is all waiting for service. Would be nice to be on top of the maintenance. But, good gym.
Pls update ur gym time on the google...because there are 24 hours at google map!
"open 24 hours" except on weekends
Scam contracts
Nice gym everything is still pretty new
Clean, bright, great staff, well maintained.
Hit the one star by mistake. Once the pandemic is over , will be looking to join.
Seated military press rack is absolute garbage, full 24/7 would also be nice. Aside from that no complaints, great gym.
Caleb Patkau is my grandson. I don't know why his name comes up on this sight instead of mine as I am the adult paying the monthly fee. with that being said, I am very dissatisfied with the yearly commitment. Children under the age of 16 should be able to have a month to month sign up. My granddaughter wanted a membership. She never wanted to go so I continued to pay the $60.00 each month. (she went maybe 5 times) Goodlife just continues to take take take the money. When I finally got smart and asked, the person told me that I could pay a $100.00 closing fee but would have to give 30 days notice. Then they charged me for 2 1/2 more months. What a rip off!
Best place to workout. Staff is friendly and professional. Gym floor and changing rooms are always clean.
Really great space to work out, tons of cardio and strength training equipment plus nice studio spaces. Change rooms and showers are also kept really clean. Friendly, competent staff. I've been a member at other gyms in the past, but this one is definitely my favourite!
Clean. Great staff.
Finally a goodlife where they dont cram all the weights into a 200 square foot area and fill the rest of the place with treadmills and "personal trainer" zones
clean and great gym
Very nice gym. Clean, friendly staff, has lots of amenities. The massage chairs and sauna are nice after a long workout. I do wish that the gym was 24/7 instead of just 4. I do my workouts in the early morning and it wrecks my day on day off thing that I enjoyed prior. Overall great gym.
Clean and curtious staff
Super friendly staff, equipment is frequently cleaned, great layout of the general workout area and studios. Best Goodlife in Winnipeg.
Relaxing environment with excellent customer service. plenty of room to work out, just be careful of busy hours, this place gets a lot of customers from all over the city. This is would you expect at a great gym and location. Overall my go to place for working out.
Definitely my go to gym. Always clean and great friendly staff.
Great
Predatory contracts and spam follow up. Take it to collections and stop harassing me for 13 dollars
Rude. Lying staff. Expensive fees to quit. Recommend anywhere else
Joined a month ago and I’m loving it. My only complain would be the weekend hours (F -S). It would be nice if the gym actually opened 24/7. Probably the only big gym in the city that closes 8PM on weekends.????
